HAD to just place an order for a spray bottle of Voracious for the teen-aged boy. He's back in school full time now and feels un-dressed without his favorite scent. Asking him to wait a few more days for the NRs to come out so I could just place one big order?? Might as well have suggested he wear a pink tutu for all the eye rolling and snorting I got in return.

The Great Northwest, another "appropriate" theme a la the new digs. But a geographical theme?? Difficult. Weather related? Even more difficult. 3. Of course, a seasonal theme would be appropriate. Went shopping at Ulta with daughter dearest over the weekend. Tried some of the new "designer" fragrances of recent vintage. Blech! Not a one came even close to the depth, intensity, and quality of a Mara creation. They were ALL so boring, so bland, so uninspired, so completely vapid. I cannot believe I used to wear that junk. Thank you, Mara! You have redefined perfume for all of us, and for that, we are eternally grateful.

I thought for sure I would hate this one. Cigars? Leather?? Figured it would make me smell like a little girl who splashed her daddy's aftershave on her dress. Oh boy, was I ever stupid. I can't believe how dark, slinky, and sultry KS makes me feel! Whew!!! Had to stand in front of the open fridge to cool down a bit. Stilettos, cleavage, and dark kohl eyes are mandatory when wearing this. It did settle down a bit after a few hours into a more wholesome scent. But what a ride getting there!
