  1. Really? With my chemistry I totally got cupcake - but I had to wait for the cherry to back off. But, yes, definitely read vanilla fluff cupcake on me. That may not be the intent of the candy it was supposed to evoke, but it's OH SO GOOD. It was part of the yummy long dry down of the original CD on me. Where at first it was indeed a cherried candy sweet chocolate delight that morphed into a vanilla cupcake based goodness. This one goes straight for something cupcake like to me with a cherry chocolate frosted goodness...Then again, it could be a chemistry thing, but if it is, I hope it doesn't change!
  2. Oh My! Yes, that fits the bill here for sure
  3. OK. I can see why so many of you like this. This is not a scent for me, but it is a VERY pleasant fragrance. Very clean and light and watery/aquatic. Would be completely office friendly. This is completely complimentary for LFN. I love how, while it reads "clean" to me, it's not heavy or soapy. I've always enjoyed the LP fragrances that evoke a sense of water to me - is that the lotus, the bamboo or maybe the mosses? I don't know, but it just works I think if you loved it before, you will be very happy with this re-brew
  4. First thoughts were, this is floral. Then I looked at the notes and it's seems rose geranium is the only floral note it has. As it settled the floral note stepped back and this is just something really unique to me. I can't relate it to anything. It's not green. It's not woody. The patchouli is complimentary, not pushing for special attention. The longer it was on the more it settled into my skin and became this soft, powdery and decidedly slinky fragrance, and just stayed that way. I apologize for struggling to describe this one. I was ready to dismiss this first on because I thought it would be too floral, but that quickly changed and the long pleasant dry down completely turned me around. This is going on my potential FB list...There's something distinctly feline in feel too...certainly conducive to being in a prowling kind of mood....
  5. Interestingly enough, unlike my original CD, this didn't leap out of the vile with a cherry blast. Not that the cherry isn't there, but this version seems to go straight to a melded creamy frosted cupcake deliciousness. First out of the vial and on, for me, this time was the chocolate AND cherry together that were prominent, not one overpowering the other. Then it quickly goes to cupcake frosted amazingness. If you liked the previous CD for it's wonderful cupcake qualities, you will absolutely LOVE this re-brew! IMO it is all cupcake right out of the vial and just like the original, I want to devour my arm and cannot stop huffing it! MYGOSHTHISISYUMMY!
  6. Oooo. This is clean and light. Not really soapy clean, but not laundry like either. Earthy clean, if there is such a thing? It is distinctly floral to me - maybe that's the clean association? But the other wood notes keep it grounded and neutral. For me, that just means that I don't usually go for a floral fragrance but I like the earthy quality that this one has, making it clean to me without being all frilly soapy or laundry-like. It's almost green to me, another type of scent I don't usually go for. It's fresh and floral, grounded and clean. Not a me scent, but I really like it and will use this sample for sure
  7. This is definitely honey. I think it's the coconut adding that "something". At first I was thinking, how will coconut be in this? It's not that the coconut is pronounced so much as, on my skin at least, it really is adding to this creamy feel. It's not really a sugared honey on me, but truly a creamed (like whipped?) honey. The amber underneath may be keeping the honey from being as "naughty" on me as something like sugared honeycomb can be, lol. It will be interesting to hear how it's wearing on others I do like it and will have to give it a good slather. It doesn't seem loud, but soft and close to the skin...but with a proper slather, we'll have to see if it stays that way...
  8. Oooooo! I have Sugared grapefruit and Fairy Floss so I could try both of these! Mmm, sounds NICE. Deep, warm, "my skin just smells this wonderful" scent? You said you pair Red with lots of things, what kinds? Clean, foodies, exotic, resin - all of the above? For the Egyptian Musk... Like CB or SC clean? I love Totem: Bunny...but that's a different kind of clean than the other 2 to my nose.
  9. Thanks QG. It was your review in, I believe, the Sugared Black Musk that caught my attention and made me believe I needed to try the Red too
  10. Thanks Bella! As a sugared, do you find the Red wears soft and close to the skin? Since you wear it on it's own, it's sounds like it stands up pretty good
  11. Just went absolutely HAPPY on Etsy! Saw the sale heads up just today and scrambled over for some goodies Got some back ups and a bunch that had just fallen off the radar and onto the backburner: Sugared Bamboo - SO wanted this, can't believe I'd forgotten it! Sugared Blackberry (back up) Sugared Red Musk - outside my norm but have to try... Sugared Maple (also a back-up) Sugared Egyptian Musk - outside my norm but have to try... Sugared Warm Milk and Sugar (also a back-up - SO YUM!!!) Sugared Eggnog - another one I can't believe I forgot about! Sugared Coffee (drool!) Sugared Leather - love leather notes - had to try this! Sugared Marshmallow - how did I miss this???!!! Sugared Maple (back-up) Sugared Black Musk - sounded too good to pass up, want to love... Fairy Cake: Maple (back-up) Fairy Cake: Fairy Floss (back-up - wowzer this one's good!) Fairy Cake: Orchid - used up my sniffy, but didn't snag a bottle for some reason...surely an oversight on my part... And a couple of bonus' that caught my eye while I was there: Hungry Heart - because I need a back-up for my back-up... Love Potion Incandescence w/BANG! - because I stayed on the fence about this one, but it's aged beautifully and I just couldn't resist going FB this time Would anyone care to share their thoughts about the musks? (Red, Egyptian, Black?) How are they wearing, have they aged nicely? What do you like to pair them with - if anything? Edited for poor spelling due to excitement
  12. This isn't heavy at all and wears very close to the skin on me. I think I was expecting something a little darker, but this is all sophisticated and grown up - could be a day OR nighttime scent. It actually strikes me as a clean scent. I am loving the ambers! It's soft and feminine, couldn't see how this would play on a guy, but then with the attars and sandalwood, it might come off as a clean scent...? Not that it matters because I have to intention to share Curious to see how it ages...
  13. Aaaaaand - this has some impressive staying power too....hours and hours and hours....

    Top Five

Lately: Charlene's Sanctuary LAM Buttercream Peach Breath of Nirvana Luv Truffle TMI, I may have to order the Caramel Musk again. I forgot how scrummy that is in TMI....
  15. Hearts, I have to agree with every word here! First on there's a sweetness, but not the candy sweetness I expected from the description. I can't compare it to Merry! either, I just don't think they are alike to my nose. I'm loving what the lavender adds, but I would equally have loved a cavity causing sweetness as well if it had been like that It wears very close to my skin, but it lasts and is VERY distinctly there when I smell my wrist, but it doesn't seem to reach out and scream for attention. Mr. New complimented me on it right away Hmm. Velvety pink? Yes, like a soft flower petal pink on a distinct bed of marshmallow. I have to inhale deeply to get the marshmallow, but in the long dry down it is distinctly there. I LOVE marshmallow. Love. This one is another real winner Lady V & Mara
  16. Welcome! If you're looking for a place to explore - there is plenty here to entice! Happy experimenting

    Hi! :)

LOL - I'm not sure that feeling of anticipation EVER goes away for any of us! Honeyed LP should be fine, it's a nice blend. Pink is all coplulin and sugary sweetness - with nothing else to buffer - and if you spend lots of time with bf's friends, keeping it for him solo may be a good idea
  18. First on I get yummy, creamy, whipped vanilla maple and sweet cherry. I have not been able to pick out the chocolate for the life of me, BUT I think it's because I'm reading it along with something else...I think it's there with the vanilla and I almost get a hint of milk chocolate, almost...What I do get is absolute deliciousness regardless and I'm a sucker for maple! Although the maple IS there with a blast once freed from the bottle, it doesn't stay the center note. It really is a delicious battered delight

    Cocoa Snuggle

And I'm perfectly happy for the enlightenment!
  20. I remember, because of the ridiculous amount of phero blends I have, that I initially tried to convince myself that this would not need to be a staple, but when I see I'm getting low - I re-order This one for me is so unique. It's either REALLY hit or quietly inviting. The people who are prone to reaction ( or should I say over reaction???) have been SO note worthy and some of my best phero memories. I could wear this though, many times, and have a good day full of happy circumstances and then there's that ONE instance where the reaction is through the roof. I like that it is favored as well by the women I wear it around as the men. VERY versatile

    Hi! :)

Welcome! You've gotten tons of great advice already I second (or is it third? lol) Perfect Match and Cuddle Bunny AND Teddy BB LFM is WONDERFUL, but can bring me off as untouchable unless I myself am inviting (smile, initiate conversation..), it has a type of glamour that people respect and sometimes won't speak until spoken to for me. I can't WAIT to hear what you think of OCCO Pink - SOOOO scumilicious!!! Well, all of the fragrances your phero trials are coming in are fantastic...I came here initially years ago to check out the pheromones and wound up a complete LP addic - er, enthusiast. Such wonderful and uniquely delightful potions that you won't find anywhere else are absolutely intoxicating in themselves Happy experimenting - I know it will be!
  22. Been wearing the Buttercream Peach the last couple of days. Big hit with Mr. New, who apparently loves peach...so I shall have to comb through my collection for others to try out on him...A lot of peach scents can go sharp on me but this one stays sweet but VERY peach forward. I hadn't worn it in quite some time (such a rotation a flavors, they never get enough love, but I guess that's good, as my bottle will last longer this way ) when I first applied it I thought it might be too strong, but it was just that initial juicy blast of creamy sweet peach goodness and quickly settled down to a sugary delight. Mr. New noticed it immediately and was glued like Velcro for a bit, exploring the fragrance, eh, hem, and me. Nice little pick-me-up...or pick-him-up...or something like that...

    Cocoa Snuggle

I did the same, comparing to Luv Truffle, lol. I told myself, "Self, how many chocolate scents do you need. It just chocolate." But then my heart whimpers, but they're DIFERENT! There's Luv Truffle, the there's The Trouble with Truffles and - oh my - Katerina Suit - and Velvet Kisses, and now, Cocoa Snuggle - and they are all gloriously wonderful in their own different ways This WOULD go nicely with CB
  24. I am still in love with this one. It's still my "go to" bed time scent. I have a bottle, but I keep the little trial by my bed head. A little dab before drifting off IS dreamy...
  25. Cereally! How did I miss that?!?! That's flippin' awesome!
