  1. I am taking the exquisite old gent out to lunch on Friday. This is kind of a silly post, but I was touched by how touched HE was by the birthday wishes I read him that were posted or emailed to him for his birthday this month on our various sites. You'd think 60 years of it would leave one jaded, huh? (Hell, 20 years of it has left me so!) But he was genuinely pleased and excited to hear the nice messages and questions, and I suspect it might be fun to bring him some more. It LIGHTS him up! And that makes me extremely happy, to experience him so. (I always have to curb my instinct to want to STEAL him!) Wish I had one of those digital recorders so you could hear him quote Shakespeare - it's a *melting* experience. Anyone have anything they wish to say or ask? xoxoxoxox
  2. No! I said you were an oddball with how EoW reacts on your skin!!! (She says it turns to flowers on her, rather than CHEESE! LOL!) Actually, resins are awesome on me as well. I'm made for them, especially sweet resins, which is why I suppose I make so many of them. I love being engulfed in a sensual cloud that I can actually smell while I am wearing it.
  3. Ok, what if I amp up the phero girl recipe so that it's denser, closer to Sugared Honeycomb? Personally, I really like the orange blossom in there, both for the scent and the magical properties - and I also really like the bee pollen. I had made it a little lighter/brighter than sug honeycomb to make it more universal in appeal. I should have known this bunch would prefer the outright 'smell of sex' rather than a dainty perfume! I could use the same recipe, but make it smell 'heavier' - give it more "KA-POW!". What think you?
  4. Welcome, Gali! Thanks for joining us! Wow, such an exotic location! I don't suppose you could post a picture of your local scenery? (We should all do that! - just a postcard view, y'know?)
  5. but...but...? ok, I actually COULD make that one again - the recipe wasn't too tough, but you all were saying that you liked Sugared Honeycomb better than Phero Girl, so why do you even want me to make this one again?
  6. Fertility and Creativity are ONE, magically. So it's a 'creation' potion regardless. But, Dolly, while I personally adore the scent of this potion, (it's blindingly delicious!), I agree, it's not the type you and your hunky boy normally enjoy.
  7. Sure! Here are some of the ancient magical properties: Marshmallow - aphrodisiac, cure for impotency in men, 'cleansing' for women post-period, once taken as a tonic to avoid disease. Amber - fertility, luck, wealth - (which is a magical equivalent for health). Sugar - love, lust, luck. Corn - fertility, protection, luck. Honey - seduction, binds your mate to your side. Butter - as a milk product, a symbol of motherhood and nourishment for young. Mmm, I love this one, it smells sooo delicious. Definitely for slathering!
  8. Interesting, Chai! Well, you have MY respect, that's for sure. I want a recommendation too. Is there any pheros that can grant one serenity and patience? (I just got off the phone with my mother!!!!!!!!!)

Thank you for that lovely review, Scourger! Well, you sold me, I'm wearing this one today.
  10. Well, I know I shall avoid getting any of the Super Sexy for Men on me again. I noticed that I was being all argumentative this afternoon, then halted, mid-tirade, and said - "this has to be phero related...what was I pouring earlier?" sonofa... I had been pouring the aforementioned blend. It's got some serious 'Alpha' juice in there.
  11. Thank you so much for your kind words, Tisha, and for the ty note you sent me over the email. I am very pleased that you are enjoying them and I wish you a speedy return to health. Kisses, Mara
  12. I just did some animal testing...heh, on the cats. It's so funny how they react. They sniff it, then they look quick up into your eyes to see if it's really you. They're like, 'how did you change your smell signature like that? Mommy, you're disturbing my zen.' >^.^
  13. Well, I'm wearing Cuddle Bunny right now, and I'll tell you this...if any of you says there's not enough cops in it this time, I'm gonna kick your little tushies. You can totally smell them, hanging along on the side of the fragrance scent (which is LOVELY! - a little sweet, a lotta cotton). Usually, we design much 'darker' scents around the pheros so their scent is somewhat drowned out. PGirl Dominance has A LOT of EOW in there, but the perfume is soooo bold, that the pheros are hard to differentiate. Cuddle Bunny is a sunnier vibe, so you can really smell copulins. The EST blends in perfectly with the cotton though, so that doesn't jump out. I'm going to wear Cougar Potion to an Oscar party tomorrow. I'll let you know how it goes.
  14. Wow, excellent report! Glad you positive experiences with them. ::glee!:: Thanks for sharing, Dolly!
  15. So my friend drags me to see this band because she likes the lead guitar player. She's had a crush on him for YEARS and he's never anything other than polite and aloof. She tells me this, and I say, WAIT! Let's put some Love Potion on you before we go. (original blend, not Black, but anyway...) So we get to the club, and the object of her affection walks towards us on his way from the bar to the stage. She jabs me to point him out...oooh, he IS cute. He nonchalantly says, "Hey", in her direction, then continues past for like 3 more steps. Then he stops DEAD, turns back towards her giving her this look like he's never seen her properly before, grabs her, and starts MAKING OUT WITH HER - BIG TIME! OMG!! I just buried my face in my hands as she MELTED into him, and they just did not stop. It was thoroughly, completely amazing. This was a few years ago, but they ended up dating for like 6 years. She finally dumped him because he became a self-indulgent, tortured artiste/alcoholic, but still, it's one of my favorite LP success stories and it happened right in front of my eyes. Sooo....no. No pheromones in the LP varieties, but they hardly need them. The idea behind pheros and what we do is amazingly similar. We blend based upon scent triggers and sense memory - we know what kind of effect certain aromas have on people, and use this knowledge to design blends for different purposes. It's just as subconscious as pheros. The marriage between the two disciplines seemed like a natural.

Has Danna's cat been to visit? One day I took my watch off to wash my hands, turned my back, and the next thing I knew, kitty had my watch in her mouth and was trying to center her aim properly to drop it cleanly down the hole! The little thief is always stealing shiny things! We found a supply of single earrings, necklaces, silver drain covers, buttons, in a secret hiding place...she thinks she is the Queen of Lostralia! (the place things go when they are lost)
  17. Ok, EVERYTHING IS UP NOW! I may still have to tweak a thing or two, there's some technical info I need to check so it will be added later, but for the most part. Phew! Here is the page with the info on the new UNscented Phero offerings: http://www.lovepotionperfume.com/perfume-Pheros.html The Phero store page is now complete, for the time being: http://lovepotionperfume.com/store/Pheromone_Blends.html and all the little clickies for more info now actually work. For ALL the new scents, not just the pheros. I'm going to sleep now...bye please...

  19. Both... Just wait a little longer and those options will be posted soon.
  20. Which? Perhaps I can shed some light on the choice.... am working on getting the description pages up...sorry for the delay.
  21. Welcome, chibirisuchan! Actually, sometimes we come up with perfume ideas from baking recipes! Not in the case with Autumn, which makes me want to gnaw on my own arm when I wear it, but we just did a new one called Hamantaschen to celebrate the Jewish holiday of Purim, that came from the cookbook "A Treasury of Jewish Holiday Baking" by Marcy Goldman. (Her baking website is: www.BetterBaking.com). It has all the smells of the yummy pastry. Butter, sugar, vanilla, fruit filling...mmmm... We've also done a few based on drink recipes, such as Pirate Bumbo (a fruity, rummy, caribbean umbrella drink) and Fest of Fools, (which is based on a traditional Old-English Wassail Punch). Feel free to suggest your own ideas too...we give away a free bottle of perfume to the person whose idea is chosen for a new perfume.
  22. Violitious is a lighter purple than Dark Seductions. You smell it, and the thought "purple" just springs into your head! But it's a sunnier, more mood elevating type of purple than in the down and dirty Dark Seductions. Flapper...if you like Dragon Potion, or Fairy Massacre, there's a slightly similar vibe there in that it's slightly spicy and a little bit androgenous. The florals are watery spring-y blossoms, and the spicyness comes from a dark neroli, ginger and black pepper. Will be getting the full descriptions up later today, sorry for the wait.
  23. Pharmacom made that for us based on your suggestions! We will be doing perfumes to go along with each of those phero blends in the coming months, and these phero blends will be made available unscented this month too. Just have to program them all in.
  24. It's Leprechaun SWEAT, actually. LP Green has a wet leafy quality to it, like a vanilla soaked watery breeze after a good rain, with a base of this so-called "green musk" which is actually kind of a deeply satisfying woody musk. Animal and earthy at the same time. It's divine! Glad to supply your dreams with such a chipper soundtrack! I got a DVD of them live at the Filmore the other day, so that's why my renewed multi-listenings of their CDs. I love their happy bubblegummy-ness, and they are so cute too.
  25. Does it really rain almost every day? I like cool, wet weather, but I do not enjoy living with frizzzzzzy hair!
