Fabulous, isn't it? Artist: F X Leyendecker (Frank Xavier) (1876 - 1924) The piece was entitled "Flapper", and appeared as a Life magazine cover in 1922. Found the art after conceiving of the perfume of the same name, and just couldn't pass it up. As much of his work is now available in the public domain, we've paid ode to a couple more - this month's Hera's Eye perfume (his title was "The Rivals"), and next month's Turkish Delight perfume (his title, The Nectarine).

Feast of Tabernacles is juicier - no pastry. It's closer to a plum sherbet with a sprinkle of spice and some other fruit juices lightly added. Strangely, it has a similar feel - like they are in the same family, even tho there are hardly any ingredients in common. They're 2nd cousins, but you can still see the family resemblence. ::wink::

And the artist (Joseph Michael Lindsner - www.Lindsner.com) has designed such Playboy-worthy fashions, designers are always trying to pull-off his outfits in real life. She's the red-headed Marilyn of the comics world. In case you haven't noticed, I am a total comics geek. A story most worthy of the LP HISTORY thread if anyone is interested. SUPER was inspired by my absolute geekdom in that regard. One of these days, maybe, I will post pix of my bedroom. It's all done in Superman. Circa 1938-2007. Not kidding.

Dolly is correct. The D5 is the base for the UNscented pheros ONLY. DPG is the most common dilutant we use in our perfumes, although some have Apricot Kernal oil, or a mix of that and other natural oils. Both DPG and D5 are considered hypo-allergenic products. They are generally considered to be as hypoallergenic as water. There may be a minute fraction of the population that is sensitive to them, but if you are, you would know, because you would not be able to use any commercial personal care products - DPG can be found in everything from shampoo to toothpaste. All of the Pharmacom ingredients are listed.

Well. I just put on a hoody sweatshirt I haven't worn in two weeks - I must have worn it last when filling bottles, and I am in a LOUD CLOUD of pheromones. (mmm, I really like this smell!) I can't believe how strong the scent is coming off of this fabric, weeks later! Dolly/May, can these be just as effective with the scent on your clothes as on your skin?

Ok, I didn't think that would work. Reason being, that ONLY the D5 will sit on top of the skin, because the molecule size of this particular formulation is larger than that of your skin cells. (You can't fit a soccer ball into a soda can.) Other silicones, such as D4, have a smaller molecular structure and WILL absorb into the skin - therefore defeating the purpose of our experiment here, and one might also care to note that D4 has been banned in Europe for that reason. Health concerns regarding silicones absorbing into the skin.

I'm interested to hear more about your cruise, too. Myself and a few others of this magical/spiritual ilk have been discussing conducting a group "Magical Mystery Cruise" for several days to Mexico. Any insights you would like to share would be valuable - thank you!

Why laughter? I don't think that's so outrageous. I am no chemist, but some of these phero ingredients sound like real hormones to me, and one can indeed absorb them thru the skin.

I was thinking of packaging the CPS (D5) in a larger bottle than the little roll-ons. Like two ounce bottles, as you can just slather the base, then roll on the perfume on top. What think you? I can always offer an empty roll-bottle along with it for ease of use if that's what everyone prefers. I was talking to Mr. Pharmacom about this today, and he agreed that this base should extend the scent of both pheros and perfume on the skin as it doesn't allow the skin to absorb it. He also mentioned that the 96% CPS is considered "industrial grade", whereas we purchased the highest grade; and the industrial grade has a lower flashpoint. (We prefer to keep our products at a very high flashpoint so they are airmail safe, so that's good to hear.)
