  1. I tried this out and it is a really pretty floral blend. Unfortunately, I smelled like I rolled around in a flower shop and that was just a little too much "flower power" for me. I'm sad about that too because it truly smelled wonderful in the bottle.
  2. Ok, last add on, I swear: since a bottle space opened up (yay, Xev, hope you like it), I want to add Cougar Potion in oil to take it's place if that's ok. *Promise, no more changes*
  3. Thank you!! It really is amazing. It's kind of funny because I've never done something like that before, meaning just picking scent notes and putting my faith and money in someone doing a great job of creating it. If it wasn't for the fact that everything that Mara creates is beautiful, I wouldn't have tried it but I had every faith that however she created it, it would be perfect and it was. I've already told her that I will be remaining a loyal customer. There's nowhere else I can remotely think of that can compare to the fragrances I've found here ... and I am bit of a junkie for perfume!!
  4. Hmmm, choices choices... I'll go with the oil. I really liked the tingly feel in the oil.
  5. I received a little sniffie of Knot and decided to add that to my order. Its more perfumey than everything else I've bought here but its really nice. Definitely wouldn't have known that without the sample... yes, Stacy... life IS good.
  6. I emailed her to ask about a week. If she's ok with that, it's yours. Hope you enjoy it too!!!
  7. Mara, although I am more than happy to take up the last drops of my Jasmine Rain, please let Xev have one of mine if she wants one. I let her know that I would do that if she would like a bottle since we both had been looking for almost the exact type of scent. ETA: I hope it's ok that I want to do that.
  8. Do you want a bottle? I was going to take up whatever remained that no one else wanted. If you want one, let me know and I'll tell Mara to send an invoice for one your way. I was hoping you'd try it and see if you like it as much as I do. ETA: On the PE page for June, I told Mara to give you one of mine on reserve if you want it. Otherwise, its MINE. LOL
  9. NuTrix and Chitown, I posted a thread to express my thoughts on the Jasmine Rain... I thought I'd put it out there so that you can see. I think you'll like it, I really do and I tried my best to sum up my thoughts and how much I really love how it turned out.
  10. Spring's Jasmine Rain Spring asked for: "ozone, water-fresh, jasmine and earth. I'm looking for an airy scent that smells of walking in the rain with soft whispers of jasmine blowing in the breeze. Feeling alive, playful, sexy." This came out beautiful! Watery fresh and very natural. I had posted a thread awhile back asking for some ideas for a nice rainy scent.... something that would remind me of home in California. Spring rains, flowers... things that are hard to find in Arizona. I've tried Eye of the Storm and Thunder but both were just, I don't know, a bit much maybe. Torrential downpours crushing cut stems just didn't quite fit the bill. So, along came Mara's willingness to allow PE's and of course, this was my first thought and described as best I could. So, here it is and I've had the chance to dab it on instantly out of the box and also I've worn it all day today to work and here are my thoughts for those of you who decided to give it a try... First, it goes on quite strong. I suggest dabbing it on at first because I went the slather route and I personally could smell it on myself for a good three hours. I would suggest dabbing. Secondly, the very first note is definitely jasmine. It's sweet and very organic. It's fleshy and "alive" and did not remind me of your average fake jasmine scents. As the roll on oil, the first note is the heady jasmine followed by a sharpness that I can only guess is the ozone. It tingled my nose, almost like electricity, it was crisp - that smell you might pick out right before a rainstorm. Those two scents were the heaviest for the first half hour. Once it had time to dry down and meld, I could pick up notes of earth, a mild sharpness of ozone and a bit sexier, more mellow jasmine... in my head I began to think of it as if rolling on the oil was the very start of the downpour and just as the rain lets up in time and suddenly the air is full other different, deeper scents... so did the perfume. I liken the dried down scent to how the air feels and smells when the rain has fallen and the air is humid. It's a bit hazy, less sharp to your nose, more blended with the smells of everything the rain has fallen on. On my drive to work in the car, I could smell it and floating around with the air conditioner on (yes, at 5:30 am I had to have the air on ) and I could actually picture a wetness like I had been out in the rain. Getting those little whiffs of the water was truly impressive to me!!! At work, it definitely mellowed and softened over the course of the day. By time I left work, it was just a gentle jasmine scent that lay close to the skin. We have plant status first thing in the morning and one of my co-workers told me he felt giddy sitting next to me. LOL I rolled on the oil at 5 am, rolled out of the house at 5:30 and by 3:30 when I left work (early day home yippee!!!), it was very faint but still there so I give it a big thumbs up for longevity considering how hot it is here. Now, trying it in the spray form tonight, it's lighter than the oil and I don't necessarily instantly pick up the crispness of ozone like I did with the oil. The jasmine is a bit lighter too. It still smells amazing but has maybe a bit more sense of airiness as compared to the oil. I'm glad I got both because I would love to spritz in my hair or just use the spray to go lighter or use on top of a dab of the oil. Either way, it was perfectly what I wanted. It's spring, it's summer... it reminds me of playing in my uncle's front yard covered in jasmine and how the air would smell when I would open the windows during a spring rain. It's comforting and homey but at the same time, rain was always a turn on for me so it's exciting and makes me happy. It's just what I needed and wanted. And I truly hope that you ladies that took a chance on it like it as much as I do. It's truly a beautiful scent and I feel so so lucky to have found such a talented and intuitive lady to create something so wonderful.
  11. I tried this one out a little bit and I like it. I don't have the experience of the original to compare it to but I agree with BB, it reminded me of gingerbread. I could definitely pick out the cloves and allspice. It was sweet and yummy. Compared to others I've liked, it's not as dark either... more a brighter version. I'll have to do an all day test of it and if, as Luna says, it takes a good three months to settle and meld, I'll really be interested to see how it turns out!!
  12. I'll take one of my two Jasmine Rains in spray. I also sent an email since I was hoping to add one more item and not go through Paypal: Knot. Thank you sooooo much!!
  13. I knew that whatever she created would be gorgeous, can't think of anything I've tried (even the ones that aren't quite me) that aren't. But this one came out exactly the way I would have wanted and yes, NuTrix, if you love jasmine, you are going to love this. I decided I'm wear this today (so much for MRF Friday) so that I can see how it wears and changes and see if anyone at work has any thoughts I can add. Can't wait to tell you about it!!!!
  14. Ok, first... just got my HUGE package (thank you Mara for just waiting and packing everything together!!!) and all I will say is that if there are other takers for the Jasmine Rain - awesome!! If there's any left over, please reserve the remaining for me. I will gladly take whatever is left. I can't even describe it at the moment... its just so... makes me want to cry its so perfect for what I wanted!! Review to come... ETA: I'd also like a Year of the Snake too.
  15. Mine must have been an action movie last night because this morning I'm doing BAM/LAM. Figured if it goes awry on me, that's ok because although I have to see a lot of people, I'll be mostly by myself.
  16. Thanks, Eggers!! I've thought about getting some because I would love to layer the Reds. I hadn't been sure whether the apricot would overpower all the other goodness. Yay!! Well, I know what I'll be adding in my next couple of orders... a Red... a White... a Pink... a Black (maybe). lol
  17. Is the OCCO Red a brighter version of LP Red? I heard that it has an apricot type scent that's different from LP Red so I wasn't sure if that changed the basic smell. I guess that's kind of a question about all the OCCOS.
  18. I've heard others in different posts comment about that. I had considered getting UN Cougar but decided against it, in part, because I just love the scent so much and in part because of headache concerns. I know some have said that they don't like the scent but for me it's like the other half of the phero... need one with the other. This is one time where I will stop and say that it ain't broke so I ain't fixing it. LOl
  19. I was talking about my husband but made me think that I probably could use more/less on him and see if maybe he just needs mega doses or a small dab. I've been going the middle ground and maybe its not enough either direction. But intimidation... that is a possibility. There have been a few occasions when he had to visit the chiropractor afterwards. LOL And I think Luna makes a good point that can be applied differently for everyone. We all have our different reasons for wearing or not wearing and as BB stated earlier, something that should be very sexual can end up being social in different environments and on different people. In your job, Luna, you prefer to release the gender baggage so that you can do your best work. When I was working at the court, I think I would have found pheros helpful, not necessarily to exaggerate femininity, but because emotions are quite high and to have a calming, more friendly atmosphere could soothe some raw nerves. Being considered sexy in some careers is not going to work to your advantage and could possibly hurt what you are trying to accomplish but depending on the context, and maybe just how we perceive ourselves while wearing them, using them could help others create the confidence needed to succeed. That's why as much as I've learned from being on the forum, I've come to think it like getting awesome recipes from cooks that use a pinch of this and a smattering of that... you can do the same but you won't necessarily get the same result. You just need to work it in a way that is tasty to you.
  20. You bring up a good point... I've used them earlier in the day so that I could see if it would make him more interested. I know that the tone of the moment is supposed to be congruent with the implied intent of the phero and I do try. I've tried some around times when I literally am ready to pounce but not with any notable changes from what he might otherwise react to. Then again, what makes him so hard is because he is a very reserved guy. He shows very little emotion so it could be quite possible that he could want to throw me up against the washer and do me right there but alas, that is just not how he has ever been so the sexy and really sexual pheros I save for him might not ever really fully show their true potential because just like it's not going to make me a raging sex bomb on two legs, I don't think it will turn him into a raging horndog who can't control himself... Can we say epiphany? LOL And Stacy, you do make a valid point but what I will say is that the ones I've worn at work have not appeared for me to have an overt sexual, "do me now" effect even though the name may imply something contrary. Aside from putting on too much that one day, they generally have made everyone chatty and happier, more friendly and more relaxed. I never got the impression that suddenly anyone felt sexual towards me or considered me less respectable because of what I was wearing. In fact, the greatest compliment was from our department head (while I was wearing Cougar) who sat down and expressed how comfortable and secure he felt with me and my co-worker (who's male) and that he trusted us completely enough that he never worried about the department in our hands. He's a rather reserved gentleman too so to finally hear something so uplifting and honestly meant was a great experience. Women who have tended to be very reserved have become so much more friendly and open since I've worn them and for that, again, I appreciate the opportunity to know them better and understand their reservations more. I don't want to smell like a skank and I certainly don't want to be treated like one either. If I ever got the impression that a phero was going to head me in that direction, it wouldn't be going back to work with me!!!! LOL BB, I think this is exactly what I was trying to say. Thank you for saying it so eloquently.
  21. Fortunately, when I think I OD'd, no one seemed to back away from me... more they just didn't seem to "see" me. That wasn't very soothing but I might have wanted to cry if I noticed that!! LOL I will say that I do like testing stuff at work ... probably shouldn't in some respects but it is the one place that I am around people all day long, many of which I've either never met before (big plant) or I don't normally see a lot during the day. I've tried using my husband for effects and almost all have no effect on him. CB seemed to be the one phero I think got to him but cops, either light or a buttload (sorry had to throw in the pun) don't get him. OCCO SLF... yeah, nope. SS4W, not a head turn. I haven't given up but I just don't think I can use him as a fair judge. I've had better luck with the guys (and few gals there are) at work so I can get a better idea of reactions, good and bad. And other than that one day, SS4W and Cougar have proven successes for me. I just need to show moderation. It's always a great learning adventure to listen to you all give your good hits and bad ones... gives a good starting point for what to look out for. Raq, it's nice to hear you still have questions too, I always thought of you as being an experienced connoisseur of scents and pheros.
  22. I'm the guilty one. I was going to go with orange blossoms and changed it after seeing a thread by Xev about honeysuckle.
  23. Thanks Stacy for your experiences! Yes, I have decided to 1. try one at a time and 2. not let the "I need MORE" mood allow me to do so. I had really good vibes this weekend with Velvet Kisses and this week, I'm going to give LFM a test run by itself for awhile... except for Friday when I will be wearing my MRF just because I LOVE the smell of that one (especially on a Friday). I have UN LFM so I really want to test out some of my non-phero sniffies that I haven't yet. So far, I'm loving Amazonia Zee and one of the sniffies Mara sent with my order, Knot. I've got some things in the pipes regarding work and before I use anything, it's important that I have more experience so I don't shoot myself in the foot. I definitely learned my lesson and chalk it up to inexperience. Someday, I will be saying "ah, yes. I remember when...". LOL
  24. Can't wait to try this. Your reviews, LV and Ducky make it sound amazing. So looking forward to wearing this with a frozen margarita in my hand.
  25. *girly squeal*!! Can't wait, can't wait!! They all sound great... can't wait to get mine and read about everyone else's. Thank you so much. I can only guess how awesome these are all going to be.
