It might just be my perception @dolphindolls2! Love Potion: Pink Lace also smelled like gum to Mr. Onyx and me, specifically Juicy Fruit Chewing Gum. It might be in one of the ambers, resins, or combination of vanilla/cinnamon/amber that Mara uses which gives me that gum impression.

I enjoy those scents too! I have Wisdom that I'm still trying out. I look forward to seeing how it changes.

I hope the mail workers are doing okay during this season. They must be so busy! My eagerly awaited package is still delayed somewhere. It was perhaps the fastest one that shipped out from here so far, but it's still "in transit". I know they sound delicious, but I hope no one's trying to eat my Mermaid Soup Sugar Scrub 🧜🏻‍♀️🍲🧼🫧 and FAIRY POP! Bath Salts 🧚🏻‍♀️🛁🧂. 👀🧟🧟‍♀️🧟‍♂️😆

@RosesArePink, was there anything you did not like as much after it aged or were they all scents you liked even more?

I'm excited! I mostly would like to spray it on my hair. I honestly did not expect this to be one of my favourite 'Weenies 2023 releases! I would like to thank you again @Amanda for sharing the names you gave the dolls. I was quite unsettled by them but now feel comfortable getting bottles with their pictures! It reminds me of this practice that helps if you have a certain fear or uncertainty. If you identify it, name it, write it down, or share it with someone, it somehow loses power over you rather than if you keep it bottled up. 🍶🍾

Wow, that was an amazing experience @Amanda! That was brave of him to say something about how you smelled so good! Is it anthropomorphization? I think I have a similar tendency but for select things. That's so adorable that you named so many items! I like Joan the Jetta. 😎🚗 Also, I'm surprised you have a daughter that's old enough to know that! For some reason, you gave me much younger vibes! 😆

Thank you, @Mila! Your comment helped me decide. I was considering a trial but I may need to hold off. I enjoyed how Garland & Lace (2023) smelled but it was too faint for me. The bigger reason though is I want to give Mr. Onyx a break from ginger scents. I've been using this lemongrass spray which has a pretty strong ginger undertone and he finds it too strong.

Thank you @Mila and @RosesArePink! I've been seeing Sogni Incantati around but don't have a trial. I do have the scented Savage Beast though and I really like it! I'm interested in the marshmallow recipe using marshmallow root powder! I'm not into making food nowadays but it's something I'm curious to try someday.

I ordered a sample of this last month because of what @Eastwood22 said in the Soul Cakes review thread. I was not interested in this until I read that comment because I thought this would smell too blue, too green, or too strong. I did not even look at the notes initially, but looking at them after that comment, the name Savage Beast also did not seem congruent to me. I think I get it now though. This is the kind of scent that soothes savagery. I usually try some samples before going to bed so that I can passively sniff them while I'm winding down. I read someone's comment somewhere (I thought it would be in this thread) that Savage Beast knocked them out. I experienced something very similar. I could not even be on my phone and I had to sleep. I thought I may have just been particularly tired that day, but I've had the same experience perhaps 5 out of 7 times that I wore this to sleep within the first couple of weeks that I was trying this. I like how the creaminess is so soothing and I keep wanting to slather it while I'm already in bed, but dealing with the sample in the dark was quite cumbersome! So I now have a full bottle of this! The scent to me is very nicely creamy and milky. I really like the warm vanilla milk aspect of this and the connection to mother's milk. This scent is what I hoped The Cream Mother would be like for me. I will try that out again at some point. I won't be sad if that still won't work out for me though, because Savage Beast is just the creamy, milky scent I really like and it's part of the Permanent Collection. ❣️🙏🏻 I'm hoping to see a virgin version of this someday. I wonder how its overall scent will change.

I appreciate your compliment, @Eastwood22! 😊 I've also looked into scent lockets but decided against it for now since I don't wear jewellery nowadays aside from a ring. I've actually started using this directly on my skin though! I've stopped recently because I've been having some skin issues due to the weather, but I'm hoping the new creams I am ordering will help with that.

@RosesArePink: I honestly thought I would be getting a full bottle of this but it's so faint for me! What does marshmallow root smell like? Is it similar to marshmallows?

@Femmefatale you've piqued my curiosity! Would you say it's very foodie? Is it leaning towards masculine? I just put in an order for some bath & body items and I'm now considering adding a sample of it.

@Vika: I can very much visualize what you mean about the cold, fried eggs with syrup. I think some undercooked flans or those with a texture that's too soft and lacks bounciness can highlight that egg taste and feel! 🍮🍳 Yes, I now realize why there's a tendency to have multiple different scents. Aside from different scents for different moods and avoiding anosmia from overexposure, it's good to take breaks to avoid getting tired of it and running out too quickly! 😆 I hope you like it! I initially wasn't too into Vessel, but I think I've already used a quarter of my bottle and I've only had it for a bit over two weeks! 😬

Wow, thank you so much, @Amanda! 🙏🏻 I was honestly very unsettled by the label image, but your naming of them just made me warm up to them! Similar to @RosesArePink, I also wondered about the names and did some research to see if that's a reference to something! 😆 Is Grimrose the one with crumbs? I'm grateful he seems to be favourable to this scent! 😆🧡 Similar to Amanda, I just put in an order for two more bottles! I initially didn't think I'd be interested in a spray of this because I've been mostly swiping this while in the dark as one of my sleepytime scents. 🛌🏻💤 Now I'm also thinking similarly to you that having a spray might be nice!

I've really enjoyed your reviews @greenappletart, especially the notes you keep from years ago. I was not interested in this one at all until I read your review. I'm curious about Blue Rose but since it's no longer available, I am curious about its "child" lol. I might pick up a trial.

Guess who now has a full bottle of this? 😏 That cozy pullover application certainly worked for me. Sometime last month, I applied this inside my pullover close to my neck and Vessel was somewhere directly on my arm. Though they were not swiped close to each other, the scent of Vessel trailing up my sleeve and combining with the scent closer to my neck highlighted the butterscotch aspect of Reliquary that I could now pick up its butterscotch apple scent more easily. I wear this on my skin now and since I can pick up the butterscotch apple more, I can now see how that part leans more Feminine. 🧈🍏💖 I've actually been using the Reliquary+Vessel combo a lot recently, especially when going to bed. I've found myself craving Reliquary when I could smell traces of it somewhere on our sheets or my pillow from the night before. I also tend to look for this especially when it's cooler. Reliquary lasts much longer but I find that I can refresh it with Vessel. I like how I can soften the apple's greenness and the sandalwood's spice with a swipe of Vessel's buttery goodness. I can almost smell cold, biting winds when I sniff Reliquary. Very appropriate for a winter scent! Adding Vessel gives it warmth. If you have both, I suggest trying this combo! 🍏🪵🧈 From my elegant and cozy winter lodge visualization of this, I can now add another one which can also be set in that lodge or in a different place altogether: sitting beside a Christmas tree. I think it might be the greenness and the sandalwood which give me that vibe. 🎄🔥🪵 Another take I have for this that leans more towards fantasy is Snow White and the Huntsman in a bottle. 🍏🍎🏹🪵

I thought this does not have much sillage, but it's been twice now that Mr. Onyx has commented on this without having to sniff close to my skin. A moving car is more enclosed so fragrances are more potent in there, but a few days ago, I swiped some of this (along with Reliquary) on my arm while sitting in the living room. He came in from one of the rooms, stood in the kitchen across from me (we have an open floor plan) and said, "Smells like a maple-glazed, brown sugar, baked good." 🍁🍞🥐🥖 I was surprised he could smell it from that distance! I am still not getting as much baked good scent from this, but it smells good, and I am really liking this one more and more. 🥰💕 @Amanda and @RosesArePink, I don't know if I will keep to just one full bottle of this! 😅

This is a story of falling out of love. 💔 Lol. I am being dramatic. Anyway, I really, really liked Flan de Coco! I ordered a full bottle less than two weeks after getting the trial! I actually considered whether to get more than one full bottle! I am a fan of flan! 🍮💕 I don't use coconut when making it, so I was curious how this fragrance would smell. When I sniffed this on Day 0, I thought it was Odalisque (2023). It has this somewhat powdery smell to me that I thought might have been the almond in Odalisque. I immediately liked this though. I'd been wearing my trial on and off especially last month. One time, I wore it while walking out: this on one arm and Love Potion: Pink Lace on the other. This is quite potent. The smell of it wafting through my pullover as my body heat reactivated this and Pink Lace was just wonderful. I honestly thought that I liked this so much that Pink Lace became something I really liked out of association. 🍮💗 I put this on a paper towel either yesterday or the day before, and it's so potent that I could smell its scent whenever I got around the coffee table. It still smelled somewhat powdery to me, like powdered caramel and chocolate. Imagine dehydrating a flan (like those freeze-dried fruits) and grinding it into powder. That's what this smells like to me! It seems my nose is different because I'm not getting the same creamy quality that I would usually associate with the bouncy flan, but I do get that creamy smell for the first second or so when I sniff this during fresh application. 🌬️🍮👃🏻 So, why the falling out of love? Well, I mentioned in my Vessel review that I prefer Flan de Coco. However, now that I have full bottles of both, I have reached for Vessel way more. I haven't wanted to wear Flan de Coco for a while and I actually haven't even unsealed my Flan de Coco full bottle yet. I still have the trial too and this is so potent that just a little dab goes a long way. To be fair, I am almost out of my Vessel trial because I've accidentally spilt it at least twice while trying to apply it in the dark. Vessel also goes away quicker so I tend to reapply more, while Flan de Coco has more lasting power. Flan de Coco is still a very delicious scent though. I think I might just need a break from it. I look forward to rediscovering this scent in the future! Thank you so much @Vika for requesting this!

I am enjoying it too! It's quite light and I like wearing it if I'm in the mood for that. I'm going through an itchy skin phase right now so I haven't been putting on perfumes as much, but I enjoyed layering it or wearing it alone.
