  1. I got very excited seeing these new threads @Kayla! I'm looking forward to reading the reviews, especially of this one though I can no longer get it. They sound so yummy!
  2. I am back 7 hours after I put this on. The one on my wrist is mostly faded, perhaps around 1-5% scent remaining, while the one by my cubital fossa is more apparent, perhaps at 40-50% strength, but I have to really get in there to sniff. It still smells somewhat bittersweet but thankfully more on the sweet side. Since the dry down does not have a lot of throw and sticks close to the skin, I think this really achieves what @Femmefatale envisioned: a sexy, huff-addicting date gourmand that is comforting and yummy. πŸ₯ž
  3. By the way, @Amanda, I was meaning to message you about any particular brands/sellers of MonoΓ― de Tahiti oil you recommend but apparently, I cannot send messages. πŸ˜… I am allowed to send 0 messages per day. πŸ€πŸ˜‚
  4. I blind sniffed this on Day 0 (again, with no rest), and I thought I was in trouble. It smelled soooo yummy and sooo good that I was 95% certain I might want to get a full bottle. But then, the dry down happened. For some reason, the sweet lavender dried down very bitter for me. I could somehow taste the bitterness in the back of my throat. I suspected it was due to the lavender, but I wasn't sure if it was because of this scent or the combination of all the other fragrances I swiped on that day, so I decided to try again. It might have been Day 1 or Day 2 when I tried this again. It was still very yummy wet, especially during the initial stage of its dry down. The dry down wasn't as bitter as it was on Day 0. I figured this just needed to rest more! I left it alone until today. Today is Day 4 since I received the package on Monday. I applied this and it's still sooo very creamy that I can almost taste that sweet, buttery vanilla in the back of my throat! During my initial sniff, I can smell the musk, then I get mostly yummy, buttery vanilla with perhaps the slightest hints of lavender. Something like this: After at least 2 hours, I sniffed it again and there goes that lavender dry down for me. It is not as bitter though. I am now getting sweet lavender instead of just bitter lavender. It does eventually become more bitter though. I think my skin does this to many florals. I'm now curious if it will be the same if I apply to clothing. In terms of longevity, I think this does not last long for me. However, I do not remember if I applied it 9 hours ago or 3 hours ago! I reapplied it an hour and a half ago to check for sure and I will come back later to update.
  5. Femme Fatale's Dreme Creme (Label Image by AI) Super creamy, whipped vanilla pudding with a dot of sweet lavender on top and silky musk and a wee drop of amber EO in the base.
  6. Yes! You are so sweet @Amanda! πŸ€— I'm not sure if the two are separate from the spray that I just ordered from @Potion Master. I haven't paid the invoice yet though because I want to pick up a few trial vials in case my invoice needs to be updated.
  7. Thank you! Lol I'm so excited... about seaweed! πŸ§œπŸ»β€β™€οΈ
  8. I'm not missing the beach, but if you still have some seaweed oil vials, I am interested lol. 😁
  9. @Amanda I'm glad you're around! I was actually thinking of messaging you. I'm planning to get a new bottle of oil because I'm running out of my current one. I am very curious about MonoΓ― de Tahiti. Do you have any particular brands or sellers you recommend? I'm curious to compare the gardenia of that one to Beach Sol. Your perfume truly made me like gardenia, by the way. I think a long time ago, I may have used a mosquito repellent that they scented with gardenia or something similar, that's why I associate the scent with pesticide/insecticide. I am usually not into florals, but the way Mara used it in this fragrance makes it very appealing to me. So much so that I am curious about the oil now too! That is something I would have avoided in the past. I am also curious if you ever add more seaweed! Will it give more mermaid vibes? πŸ§œπŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸŒΌπŸ–
  10. It's blended very well! I was looking for the briny scent, but I'm glad you did it the subtle way. It's like walking by the beach with all its natural scents. If the briny scent is removed, it would feel like a synthetic beach perhaps, like grass scents that don't quite smell right because they don't have the underlying geosmin scent.
  11. Yes! The initial scent to me is strong gardenia but I got used to it and I really like how it fades so nicely. πŸŒΌβ˜€ I'm glad this captured your favourite sunscreen's scent! By the way, last night, I tried layering this with Creme Cake (which has coconut cream) and I think they went really well together! I was looking up the monoΓ― oil you mentioned and it seems it's made from soaking tiare flowers in coconut oil. I'm now considering picking up a bottle. I'm still not smelling but the saltiness, but I noticed that I've been getting this salty taste in the back of my throat. I thought it's due to the food that I've been eating, but I realised that I have not eaten anything yet since waking up and I have that same salty taste. I've just been trying out fragrances again today and slathered your Beach Sol again. I wonder if that's how I'm picking up the salty seaweed. I truly like this fragrance. If there is any left, I'm interested in getting this in spray form. That would be so lovely. πŸŒΌπŸβ›±
  12. Thank you, Amanda! I'm glad to see someone else here that knows of her. She is awesome! 😎 Whenever you get your package and get around to this one, I'm curious to hear of your impressions of this scent too.
  13. It's been around 7 hours since I put this on today. I could smell it up to around 4 hours afterwards, but it was very faint. This faded very nicely which I think is very appropriate for Elijah and his age. I'm currently sniffing the wrist that it's on and I can somehow smell an even sweeter vanilla scent. I'm not sure if this is parts of its dry down or if it somehow held onto the scent of the hand soaps I used today.
  14. The man in the label image looks like Patrick Stewart to me lol. I also tried this for the first time yesterday as part of my no-rest sniffs. This is potent! The first note I get is the spicy clove. I can easily smell the smokiness and incense. I'm not picking out the Earl Grey separately, but I can somewhat smell it very well blended in as very, very strong bergamot and black tea leaves. Interestingly, this fragrance smells cool to me. This does smell very much like the description. I can imagine this scent in a club lounge or a cigar bar, where they would be playing some nice jazz or blues music. This would be very well worn by elegant, middle-aged gentlemen. I would actually like to give this scent to my father. He sometimes smells like this as a result of the cacophony of fragrances he uses that somehow works for him. I think a lady like Carmen Sandiego could pull this off too. Can I pull this off? Yesterday, I would have said definitely not. I have this on again today, and although my scent of preference nowadays is cosy foodie, I'm starting to find it appealing.
  15. Drew's Elegante (Label Image by AI) Earl Grey, HOT! (That's black tea and bergamot!) The elegant tea scent twining with an aura of smokey sandalwood incense and spicy clove.
  16. I am so looking forward to what you think, Amanda! I am curious whether it captured the feel of what you're going for, especially the sans-coconut sunscreen. 🏝πŸ₯₯β›±
  17. This truly is fresh! I tried this out yesterday without giving it time to rest. I avoided looking at the labels because I wanted to see if I could figure out which Private Edition I was smelling. Between the four samples, I figured this and Drew's Elegante would be the more masculine ones. I thought the bergamot and Earl Grey notes could potentially confuse me, though I was able to quickly figure it out because they are so different. The initial scent I get while wet is mostly the aquatic note. I don't do well with aquatics and they usually give me a headache. I just left that wrist alone to try other things. I came back to it after some time and was surprised by the somewhat sweet scent. It must be the musky vanilla! Much later, I could smell something that actually is reminiscent of a lavish resort. Perhaps it's a room fragrance used in hotel lobbies? I'm thinking perhaps it's the teak and something else. I haven't smelled tonka by itself yet, so I won't recognize it. I'm also not sure how black coconut is different from usual coconut. I'm not getting the bergamot, perhaps because it's very well blended. I went back and forth yesterday about whether this is something that I could potentially wear. The vanilla part makes me think I can, but the dry down somehow keeps changing for me: some sniffs I get the sweeter side, others it's the more masculine and woody side. I'm wearing it again to try it. I put this on two hours ago and it's sweet right now. Wow! For some reason, I thought Elijah would be around 17 years old. That is quite impressive, especially with the written thank you and a phone call! Most people don't even make calls these days. πŸ˜…
  18. Elijah Blue (Label Image by AI via a photo of Elijah) A fresh, alluring and approachable scent designed as a young fella's first cologne experience. Tonka and teak entwined with black coconut and a soft musky vanilla, with a refreshing splash of the aquatic, and sunny bergamot on top. Reminiscent of a day at a lavish resort!
  19. Hmm... to me, the oily vanilla visual I get is someone's oily, sun-kissed shoulder after the sunscreen's white cast has faded from being in the water. The dry down has lasted really long for me. It was probably around 12 hours since I did some swipes. I have to get up close but I can still faintly detect it on one of my wrists.
  20. I took a risk getting this one because I'm not usually into the notes in this fragrance. I wanted to get something foodie, but I decided to get this after seeing Mara's comments on how it turned out, and I also wanted to get a variety instead of just getting all gourmand scents. By the way, I did not let this rest yet! This is Day 0 impression from me. I did not like the initial sniff I got. At first, I wondered if it reminded me of some insecticide or pesticide, but my second time around with this, I realised it's gardenia! 🌼 It is very apparent in the beginning, and then eventually, it dries down to the very lovely oily vanilla and sweet musk. I could also smell that gardenia taking a backseat and I appreciate that it did stay true to the description of "fleeting hints of gardenia." That part actually lasts a good long while for me. I need to see how long this actually lasts because I had a wash before it faded. I haven't smelled the salty seaweed yet. I'm not sure if I'm getting the same magical vibe that Amanda is going for. However, the dry-down scent is something that is very special to me. It reminds me of the skin smell of a couple of very important people in my life. I used to think of it as similar to an anointing oil smell, but without much (if any) incense notes. It's a very lovely scent that is very comforting to me. Perhaps in that comfort, there is peace, and in capturing that scent, there is magic. πŸ’– Thank you @Amanda for commissioning this Private Edition, and thank you @Potion Master for this wonderful creation! πŸ™
  21. Amanda's Beach Sol (Label image and name by Amanda) The scent of sun-warmed skin after a day on the beach. Oily vanilla and sweet musk embrace fleeting hints of gardenia and salty seaweed. Sooo good!
  22. Ever had kheer? This smells just like that! I tried it without shaking first because I wanted to see if there was a noticeable difference. I get mostly cardamom and a chilled kheer scent. I shook it well and did another swipe on the same arm but some distance away from the first one. The initial smell seemed more whole and warmer, like freshly cooked warm kheer, but eventually, it started drying down similar to the chilled kheer scent. Cardamom is definitely the most forward note on this for me. It's not as potent as actual cardamom, which I'm grateful for because that would be overwhelming. I think it lasted around 2 or 3 hours on me. I'll try again on a different day to test its longevity.
  23. I like this so much! While wet, I'm getting that ~Dreamsicle~ vibe. I could smell the orange at first, but now I'm wondering if it's the mango I'm detecting. I believe it's the vanilla that's giving it that creaminess. I'm not getting the cherry, amber, or ginger yet. I expected this to be a warm scent, but it smells cool and refreshing. I don't recall much of how this compares to the other versions of OCCO: Ambrosia since I no longer have any old bottles of those, but if I remember correctly, the other versions smelled warmer. I just slathered this on my arm lol. I'll see if it changes for me and will come back later. I should also perhaps let this rest before trying it again.
  24. Hope you recover soon, Kayla! I am looking forward to reviews of your Private Editions, specifically Creme a l'Orange and Ruby Goo. I am very interested in Dreamsicle-type scents. 😊
