  1. OK good. I'm glad there are some 'rules'... Maybe that way we can all apply the law of scent-karma and remain sane.
  2. How does it work? Is this like site-crashing frenzy FCFS or are you posting sales all month long? I always dread flash sales and auctions because it seems that Murphy (& his damn LAW) will most certainly freeze up my computer at some point and when I get things back to working all is lost...
  3. I just got back in town Monday and my LP box arrived within an hour of getting home... talk about yer perfect timing! I have to agree with Luna on this one... this is girly boysmell (not to be confused with Schwartzenegger's "girlyman" mind you) Mara outdid herself this month... I sat there with my little box and opened every single bottle and loved 10 out of 11 (and the 11th one is a very strong 'like') Even "right out of the box" they smelled awesome. I passed out from travel exhaustion and bliss over my homecoming prezzy...two hours later I got up, slathered on LP Blue w/ OCCO Blue and rocked the house.
  4. I liked the super for the effect the smell had on me (inside the house).... I think I was sold FB when I read "girly boysmell" on this one...
  5. I think this one sounds airy, light and ethereal, yet calming and centering. I'm really looking forward to wearing this as one of my 'Summery' LPs, and I like the fact that it is NOT as fruit-forward as my other lighter scents.
  6. I am THRILLED to read this because, I'm a bit ashamed to admit, I've actually wondered if I could 'get away' with wearing Super (I bought it for HB but OMG I quickly discovered I love it.) I know wearing the male pheros in it is probably not wise, but I love the way it smells on ME. I actually ordered this along with Occo Blue as suggested so I can't WAIT to dig into this one. I can't match Luna's squee but I can sure hyperventilate in anticipation.
  7. I feel guilty because I saw this thread bumped and remembered my little orange kitty that I've neglected (CRAYONS: Mandarin) Actually all my CRAYONS (except for Blush) and my LP Red (very first purchase) are feeling very abandoned by me these days. I just keep looking for more and more scents and have forgotten the treasures that I have at my disposal. This one has really grown on me... I don't get an amped orange at all, and it's not overly sweet. Just enough of a citrus fluffiness that lightens my spirit (and the moods of those around me) this one is a great pair with MLH - now that summer has started I need to break that dynamic duo back out.
  8. I have Crayons:BLUSH with PM. I absolutely love that one. Don't think I'd waste ANY of it (even my extra sampler bottle) in a diffuser! But I totally get the idea of PM as a unisex phero (to diffuse) in this scenario, rather than SS4M or say G2 on the other extreme. Need to ponder this one as I pack...Thanks for the suggestions OBW

    Egg 2014

I really like EGG... but I don't love it (like I love NEW). I think I must be the only one that doesn't love it!!! For me, it's just too sweet - I had hoped the musk and amber would balance out the sugars for me, and be more of a sexy grown up scent, if you will. I will say, if I use it sparingly, it's a subtle, uplifting vibe after about 10 min. Wet and early on, I feel like my skin is a layer of rich, sugary fondant with crystalline sugar sprinkles all over it. Definitely fun; I'm not disappointed that I got it, given the hefty legacy of "EGG" in the SO section of the perfumerie. However, there are so many others that I would reach for before it! I will let it age awhile - which has already proven wise a number of times. Thou shalt not decree final judgement on a scent in the first "go around"....

    Nola

Update: Got my FB of Nola. It does smell remarkably like the description, however I was hoping the foody side of it would be the most pronounced. Sadly, the boozy/smoky seems to really amp on my skin as it dries! Maybe if I find something that is exclusively foody/nutty I can layer it over Nola and accentuate the notes I want. It's lovely overall, just a little too edgy for me - at least the way my skin plays it. Maybe I'll let this one age awhile and revisit...
  11. I keep going to this one and *wishing* there was a wax melt/tart in it! Such a yummy, feel-good vibe (and maybe it would last longer in the house than it does on my skin!) Maybe I'll snag some samples (if left) and use them in a diffuser. There are a number of Crayons: I think I would love to have smellin' up my house for that matter. This Crayons: Vermillion has kicked my LP addiction up a notch or two! I am amazed how I've become such a 'foodie' scent gal... always thought I was strictly, 'by the book' green, aquatic, ozone. I'm even finding I like a little woodsmoke in my collection Honestly...I never saw this train comin'.
  12. Yeah but I don't think I can get it here in time! I wish I'd purchased Man Cave - I'd like to take that one. I didn't get it because I have 3 guys in my house and it's already too much of a man cave (plus the phero on my teen boys... probably not prudent). I also got CHOCOLATE CHIP ORANGE CUPCAKE/ TOPPER, SPA MINT + TRANQUILITY POTION (really for me) and SUMMERTIME SPARKLE/ALPHA ANDROSTENOL thinking those were all good neutrals for the house. Maybe I'll figure out a way to take one of my samples with something sexy along with a diffuser/warmer. I imagine in a hotel room it will be quite potent. Now I just have to figure out which one to use!
  13. Yes, and I do get hits with RF, so I'm not complaining. Actually (to quote a favorite line I got from Eggers) I almost don't need a SO when I wear this. I'm too sexy for myself. ETA: Not long after I wrote this, I picked up my 15 year old son from a friends house. He got in the car, quickly rolled down the window (to get oxygen!) exclaiming "What IS that smell!? GROSS!" I said "What? It CAN'T be ME..." I stuck my wrist over for him to smell and you would think I was asking him to intern at the zoo (cleaning up from the animals... I'll leave it at that). I said "What is so bad about this?!?" He said "You smell like burnt fruit that has been dipped in chocolate but it doesn't cover the charred smell." If I'm to be destroyed by comments like that, then my choice is to go down in flames. I decided to poll the rest of the men in the house. We arrived home, I then went to my (nearly) 18 year old and asked HIS opinion. He didn't freak out, like his brother, but he did kind of grimace and said "Some kind of really REALLY heavy pancake syrup - and you'd be eating the pancakes by a campfire." Now to my HB... he said "Definitely something maple-y...and yeah I get a wood fire, sticky sweet smoky... like good BBQ." This is the scent that made him all DIH night before last, following me around like a starving puppy. So maybe he didn't realize then he was salivating for BBQ. I can't ever seem to commit the ingredients to memory, so I looked it up after all this: BROWN & POWDERED SUGARS, MAPLE, VANILLA, AMBER, HONEYCOMB, CINNAMON Interesting to me that the two older males (18ish & 49) were pretty accurate and didn't seem as repulsed as the younger - could this be because of the typical (hormone) stages by age? Not that I was trying to phero-bomb my sons either, I just happened to have MRF on. Or maybe the younger didn't know what he was reacting to and any instinctual "attraction" would quickly be overridden mentally by his brain screaming "Pervert! This is MOM!" so his olfactory response was skewed to interpret this as an unpleasant smell ? I'm just throwing hypotheses out here as I have no clue, obviously, but I find it fascinating. Finally, I suppose the unanimous burnt/wood/fire/smoky thing is the amber and to a lesser degree, the cinnamon? And the "fruit" note that the younger one got... not a clue where this originates or what his brain is turning into burnt fruit.
  14. You obiously are a strong female... I don't think I could just wear this at home because I'd be drawn to the bottle to curtsy and ask the Lady of the Label "What now your majesty??" Those tiny little eyes follow me like those busts in the Haunted Mansion at Disney World. Seriously, I am amazed at how a dot on each wrist and a 3 inch swipe on my torso is about all that it takes to last the entire day.
  15. Wouldn't an LP Cellar be cool, complete with velvet lounges (for humans and felines), a decked out "sniffing bar" ( A la tasting bar in wine cellars) And a spotlighted big ol' velvet painting (in a gold bejeweled frame befitting a rock star) of our Founder and Chief Alchemist Mara? I live to daydream... it makes mundane matters so much more bearable.
  16. UPDATE: LOVE this UN. It really decompresses my system... doesn't necessarily make me drowsy or woosy (like the Teddy Potion BB did/does) but definitely takes me down to cruising speed instead of road rage.
  17. This one has more staying power than anything else on LPMP I've tried so far. I smelled it on clothes that I had worn for only a couple of hours - but three days earlier! I could smell it on my skin after 15 hours!! With that being said though, I've really learned to tone this one down on application.... less really is more on me. Otherwise the smokiness in this one really knocks me out (and everyone else for that matter!) Of course is that the DOM or the smoke knocking everyone out?!
  18. OMG the Choclate Almond with G2... why did I only buy one!!!!
  19. I know in the About Us section of the site, it says this: Properly stored, our fragrances have a typical shelf life of 5-6 years. Which would put us back to 2008 or 2009 fragrances. I'm curious if anyone has noticed how their oldest scents may have changed a bit (assuming there is anything left of course!)
  20. I do have LAM original - that's the other one my HB goes all DIH with, obviously reacting to it. Combining them?? Had not thought of that. I do have Sneaky Clean, but not CB. I don't know how comfortable I am yet (i.e. trusting my judgement on application AND ingredient knowledge) combining two phero UNs or blends, but the combining of scents sounds great.
  21. Yeah, what's up with that??? It's like they want to give their parenting one last "hurrah" or something. My oldest son still doesn't have the relationship with me that he used to have... prior to her stepping in where she shouldn't have. I can only hope he'll 'grow out of it', but today's youth are soooo different in their behavior and response to almost everything that I wonder if that will actually ever happen.
  22. It nearly did ruin it... when he started siding with her over things involving our boys. She had her chance at being a mother, and I will say she could have improved on that, too. OK this is the Dirty Old Man review thread so I'm going to go back to it... this smells SO much like my LP Red except there is something stabbing me in my 3rd eye (I believe this is a Tyvey or Nutrix saying that I find hilarious but extremely accurate!) The only matching ingredient in both is the Patchouli. However, I got my LP Red boosted with cops (my first LP purchase) so I'm convinced I smell the cops in DOMan (therefore the LP Red scent connection). I suppose this is why I'm thinking my SO wearing this may not do anything to stoke my fire - because it's like he's wearing my LP Red (to me). Pity, because I really like the scent. Halo or Mara could probably identify the third-eye stabbing thing - the 'none perhaps? That's the only thing that keeps me from putting it on (plus the fact that I read this post from the beginning therefore I know my wearing DOM would not be a good idea according to our phero-goddesses.)
  23. As a matter of fact I ordered Tobacco Berry off AF when you suggested this a couple of weeks ago... it will arrive with my June NRs. I don't have LP Original (shameful, yes) only LP Red (boosted w/cops, too). I only have Phero Girl in Pouncing Potion right now... and I have a sample of OCCO: Ambrosia. So if you can tell me what to mix with what 'ingredients' I have on hand for now I'm open! If you throw some other ideas out there's a good chance I might have them in samples or sniffies at least!! So will this magical tincture take those mediocre 'hits' to the next level?!?
  24. Thanx QG! There is a section there on "pronunciation" that gives 11 versions, LOL. I like the one that just says: "mix, yes, spit, lick," because it sounds like a cult way of doing a tequila shot.
