  1. OK NOW I'm stalking my own email waiting for the delivery notification! Is it a "Pay It Forward" kind of organization??? You have the coolest contacts.

Yes Rose you are right... I'm sure it must be the honey and musk as I really checked the bottle and descript to make sure there wasn't something "in" there! OMG I can't imagine this with EoW too. I have a bottle of Sheer Essence - maybe I'll try and 'layer' once and see what happens! Some of the honey blends I really love - amazing how many varieties Mara can use in her scents! I know you like the sexy scents so it's a shame that your skin rejects this one! I'm now at a stage where I'm loving just about everything I try... a total 180 from March. It will be hard to EVER come up with my own trade forum because I will be second-guessing my choices I'm sure! Do you remember if G-String was one of those in Danna's Rock N Roll themed bunch... like Backstage Pass, etc.?
  3. I've only used this one once, primarily because it's so sweet on me. However, I've used my Orange Almond HW though to mist after showering or right before bed when I want to moisturize well. Mist, then apply cream/lotion and the smell is heavenly, even if it only lasts for awhile!

Everytime I uncap this little bottle and take a whiff I'm always taken aback. Should I try this? I've been leaning towards the sweet, foody, fruity, pretty scents more... even though I love the honey in some of them. To me, this smells like SEX. Period. It is lusty, smutty, moist skin (that heated point BEFORE sweaty) and all kinds of male and female hormonal combustion going on. I'm not crazy about it, honestly, because I absolutely LOVE all the OTHER lucious scents I have from Mara that give me all kinds of great selfies (phero'd or NOT)... grounded, peaceful, happy, feminine, sexy, confident, capable, strong, amorous and even frisky. But G String stays in my protected little treasure chest, waiting... I've considered trading it, but curiosity may get the better of me and I may 'try' it just to see if I get any reaction from my SO. It amazes me how it smells loaded with cops (but it's NOT) so I can't imagine boosting it with BI or Bang! but if I'm going to wear a scent I'm not crazy about with the sole purpose of testing it's effectiveness on the male in my life then I may just have to throw all caution to the wind and amp up G-String... and take one for the team, LOL. Based on Dolly's experiment with it I may just find a new obsession!
  5. I think that thread's been cleared, perhaps in anticipation of this year's(?) So the sale is actually all done through the forum, not on the perfumerie website? That will be a lot of manpower to keep up with the posts, assuming that's how it's done. I'm nervous too SJM...
  6. Ditto for me only Jennifer brainwashed me with her Key Lime Kiss review...so If I may have a slice of Jennifer's Key Lime Kiss please, Mara?
  7. This sounds wonderful... something different than the "usual" summery scents or the typical fruits I lean towards (cherry, orange, lemon). And I do love Key LIme Pie... great review and if it's your fav that's good enough for me.
  8. This smells like caramelized sugar to me, with hints of strawberry. Sweet, definitely...makes my teeth hurt! Juicy and a bit of a tartness after spraying. It seems to last longer than the other waters I've tried.
  9. This one is so awesome. It doesn't last LNG but whole it does the fragrance is cool, uplifting and energizing!
  10. I couldn't remember if I'd reviewed LP Flutterby or not, but I've been wearing it a lot these days... It is a lovely, bright, uplifting scent. You know how how you feel when a butterfly just suddenly 'enters' your space, and you get transfixed on it's airy, erratic flight pattern? Then you try to sneak up to get a closer look at it and it takes off again, gently flluttering side to side, lifting up higher and higher until it disappears... and you wish it would come back? That's what this scent does... for several hours it wafts in and out of my olfactory aura with a gentle reminder of it's presence, and leaving me happy in it's wake. It reminds me of NEW in a way - same fresh, pretty scent, but Flutterby has a more 'emotional' tug for me - a grounded sense of peace. That last effect may be the phero working... love Heart & Soul too, this was a great pairing.
  11. i know this is probably a stupid question as I should have this committed to memory after 3 months, but don't pheros need body heat to disperse? I thought hair & clothes would be a waste if you didn't cover this skin as well. Thanks for all the help, Would also liketo know if there are any other UNs that it's 'safe' to layer Lumina with to either enhance or 'boost' EFX ...
  12. TY MDC... I think I pretty much have approached UNs with a less is more kind of thing but maybe I need to get a little braver to really see the EFX. What has been your experience with Pop Potion? Or, I guess I should go check that thread first, LOL. I'd love to know your experience with either.
  13. Wow, thank you Vladmyra... great info. I'd say I've gone waaay too conservative then. One spray - and I get ZERO EFX (that I can tell) either way (but I KNOW it's not making ME feel special...) So maybe I'll try a spray to the torso and one on top of clothes/hair (?) and one on arms (close to skin on left inside then swipe together?) I purchased the UN last month and was really excited to use it, but I feel like I'd do just as well spraying water on myself at this point. That's a tough one when I budgeted so much to spend on the UN and at least with a scented blend of Lumina I could enjoy the smell, LOL. I was torn between ordering Lumina and Pop Potion (but opted for this because it was released) Now I'm wondering if I should have gone the other way.... I'll give the more is MORE theory a try next time I wear Lumina. Thanks so much for your help!!!
  14. I agree. For me, Treasured Hearts is a lighthearted, friendship/family warm fuzzy... Heart & Souls is more of a "I'll let you in my space" empathy/emotion/BFF vibe - which I guess could go the drama route if all the elements were in place. I think I'd even use TH in specific workplace situations - perhaps a staff brainstorming session or social 'drinks after work'.. but I would carefully gauge how much to actually spray on initially.
  15. Well this is probably another stroke of MMG (Mara Marketing Genius) as it sure makes buying the bottles even more of a temptation...
  16. I wore this again yesterday and I'm amazed it has cops in it because I can't really smell them (as I think I'm doing in many of my other cop-laden scents). I slathered it on pretty good too. I'd love this scent in a body butter, lotion or even a refreshing spray (sans cops of course). The only thing bothering me about Tropique is that I find I have to reapply it every 2 hours or so - the lovely smell just seems to fade away too quickly on me. I'm actually wondering if I should try this in a (virgin) silicone RB next to layer with the oil/RB (w/cops) I have now... does that make sense? I just want the wonderful scent to 'last' longer on me - cops or not.
  17. What exactly should EFX from Lumina look like? I've worn it (60/40) spray 3 times now and I'm not noticing anything special from people I encounter or hang with... even my own family. I don't wear pheros every day - at least right now - because I want to be able to gauge their EFX more accurately.
  18. How incredibly fast 2014 is flying by...

  19. Mara, there is NO denying you are a remarkable, multi-faceted, multi-talented multi-tasker, but I would be utterly shocked if you said you were able to do photoshoots for every label or even NRs, LOL. For my magazine ad clients I have to resort to stock photographs most of the time - even though I will combine and morph them into different photos altogether (ala the Love's Truck) Photoshop alone can suck the life (and hours) out of my day - even on a single photograph. (Undoubtedly, you get this) I knew from seeing some of your photos that you had to be a photographer, and this is such a cool story! Can you reveal the starlet's name? Just curious. As far as the gloss labels go... I agree with Rose that I would much rather have you save the expense. You already are so generous with samples, shipping and unique packaging that I'd rather see that $$ go to your bottom line. For what it's worth, what I actually do with my labels is to apply some of the laminated film sheets from an office supply store (you can cut to fit) and that helps protect them from getting torn (AND schmear-ed!!!) The sheets aren't cheap, but I use them on my favorite bottles just to protect them. The same could be accomplished with that clear, wide packing tape for that matter, although you'd have a 'seam' per se, since the width/length is not exact, but who cares? If, like me, you keep bottles in a cool, dark place anyway it's not like they need to look perfect. Adding the protective sheet/tape actually makes the label detail "pop" nicely - not as great as the laser ones, of course, but pretty good. I've even thought about using the packing tape idea on my sample vials to preserve them.
  20. I would buy a DVD of the photo shoot! Like the $19.95 SI Swimsuit Edition DVD that my ex-husband HAD to have ("RELAX honey, it's JUST ART!") Midnight Rhapsody. He is SO luscious-pretty... Like Bradley Cooper...the kind I'd have to keep under lock & key because I'd exhaust myself trying to keep the other women at bay. Alas, our love would be doomed because the green eyed monster would probably not tolerate him LOOKING at another woman (& therefore constantly dealing with my own insecurities!) Then I go the other extreme and lust after Surfer Dude Pherodise, and dream he's a sensitive old soul that just makes me RELAX. And Tonka Musk... he just looks like sexy, soulful and fun all wrapped into one. Sweet Surrender... he's gorgeous but he'd just confuse the hell out of me (happy/sad/quiet/dark?) and I'd probably blow it (the RELATIONSHIP people... geez!) Heatwave would have me in a trance most of the time, speechless or mumbling incoherently just gazing into his eyes. And then there's that Honey Whip Homme... he scares me and revs my engines all at once. The notes will reveal who my scent-soulmates are!
  21. I'll say. Sure beats the scrunchy-face look that SO takes my "I feel sexy-meter" down to ZERO. Is he a coffee-guy? My HB isn't - but he does like the smell of coffee beans (and will indulge in the VERY occasional cappucino after a dinner out) so he actually LOVES this one (probably because it triggers the occasional "treat" memory ala Pavlov's Dog). You go GF and get that FB (and maybe a few more since there's always that extra space in the shipping box that shouldn't go to waste...)
  22. I absolutely love this one...but I have to be prepared for it to be my all-day scent. No variety or switching up of scents midday for me because LP: Rouge lasts longer than any other LP I've ever dabbed or slathered on at this point in my brief LP tenure (3 months). Well, OK, maybe Sex & Violins stays potent as long but it's not NEARLY as enjoyable as having LP: Rouge still very much huffing strength after EIGHT HOURS. Can't speak to the phero EFX lasting that long but this one - at least on my skin - has some serious staying power. I also love that it doesn't morph in to a myriad of other things during the course of the day, that lovely scent in the first drydown is still the base after hours of wear. It does remind me a bit of LP: Red (my first LP and a standard by which all others are measured for me) but there is something intriguingly unique for me. It's definitely a scent to wear when you want to get noticed... but in kind of a stealth mode (as opposed to the way I feel when I wear S&V... like a barge mowing down little sailboats in the harbor as it comes in to port).
  23. I really love the smell of this one but my skin just sucks it up and leaves a powdery image of it's initial self after 30 minutes! I'm shocked because the other varients are all lasting on me a long time (especially LP Rouge!) Maybe it indicates I have a severe deficiency in my body's overall chocolate need. I can't think of what else it could be! Tomorrow I'm going to try and moisturize more than usual and see if I can't get it to hang on a bit... I will add that (a newbie revelation here...) I'm discovering chocolate notes don't work for me in many of the scents that I truly thought I would love (because I happen to LOVE chocolate I thought it was a no-brainer) ...HOWEVER, not so for Bittersweet... this one actually smells great from the getgo (if it would only last on me!)
  24. I can't believe I'd have to head back to the descripts and Phero Wiki to double check my facts on this one... but doesn't RF already have some cops in it??? No, I haven't been layering it with anything extra although I think OBW mentioned pairing it with LAM (which I do have in the original scent). I'm still careful about layering anything - not just RF - because I'm still not confident in my judgement of just how much is TOO much (and of course it doesn't help when my family of Y's compares my aroma to 'burnt fruit' and 'pancake syrup' - you can tell by that comment alone the caliber of refined males I reside with!) So you think layering cops would help boost the EFX from SS4W in general? And cops always goes first on the skin if layering?
  25. I got this as a sample from the forums... I never expected to fall for it in the middle of summer though! It is the perfect balance of sweetness and dead sexy. Kind of "do me in the forest against the maple tree." A BIG maple tree with one of those old-fashioned syrup taps in it with the syrup pouring out... and well, you get the picture. Another stalk in the trade forums fer sherrr.
