Wow Donsie that is incredible feedback...I wish I got even a part of that when wearing MRF! I've even kicked myself for going FB on this (instead of sample) because there are so many others I want and I just haven't gotten much reaction from SS4W ( including wearing Sneaky Clean!) It's probably me - my chem - or perhaps I'm not wearing enough or too little! Very frustrating because it seems to work for everyone BUT me.

OMG Mara ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!? I'm trying to relax and shut it down for the night... then I see all this friggin' beefcake. Eye popping is right. Here's my mind's uncontrollable visage at 12:56AM CST.. "OK, I would do him... and him...OH I would SO do HIM...maybe I should look into pro bono work as a photographer for male models... oh and THIS one's just ASKING for it isn't he..." \\ I can't wait to see the notes on these puppies... and I'm just now getting used to my LP Variants!!! You keep us guessing (and frantically budgeting our HH and Entertainment budgets, LOL) I don't know how you keep up this pace. You are beyond remarkable.

Wowza. I didn't even know there were extras of JBB to get at one point! I think I probably joined LP after they were spoken for. I am really touched how Mara and ALL the feline sistahs on this forum celebrate the blessed familiars that have crossed our lucky paths. I loved your review Blackcat... made me all verklempt.

I really like this... but I get straight up pineapple with something a little nutty/spicy on the edge. I have it in a sample so I know it's aged since it's release... still quite yummy even though it smells very different to me than what earlier reviewers say... and true to (my lovely unpredictable chemistry) form pineapple is NOT one of the ingredients. I had hoped I'd get the coconut (as I am a coconut ho) but nada. Oh, and I don't drink a lot of fruity rum, pineapple drinks so I don't think my brain is converting the rum into this pineapple-thang. I'm not complaining though... this is still very lovely though not at all what I expected.

OK stop NuTrix.. you had me at " This is meant to build bridges, create safety and be inviting" I'm afraid if word spreads there won't be any left on AF if I don't get my act together soon (to save LP on the dang PP fees I prefer to get all my "wants" into one basket!) I know how things just !POOF! disappear around here like Magik... I'm not surprised at all that you came up with such a really cool PE

i just think I'm the one getting "tired" of the cops ether around me (that's what I meant by burnout... different from the other OD/crash I think I've experienced with too much A-nol). As far as HB goes I'm just saying (lately) the cops don't always seem to affect him - and I've tried switching up the scents they are covered with too. Even the LAM which always used to "do the trick" seems to be NBD. So do men universally find the smell of cops enjoyable, and they can't become "numbed" to the EFX when exposed a lot?

That's interesting, Blackcat. Exotica had to grow on me. I don't mind subtle incense-y, I just don't want to smell like a Head Shop, LOL. This sounds great & I certainly welcome & appreciate your input:)

Another pleasant surprise here... I think I've been in quasi cop-burnout lately, because it seems I smell it in almost everything I have (sometimes I just want a break & I think my HB is getting immune to the EFX because I seem to be wearing them all the time in scents I have). I was not going to get this one initially BECAUSE of the added cops, even though the other ingredients were right up my alley. Temptation & indecision ultimately won that battle; I got them all and I'm so thankful I did. For me, Tropique is a beautiful, melon-y, coconut-y libation on the beach... Reminds me of those pretty, yummy tropical drinks... The kind you taste and say "Wow, this is great! I don't taste any alcohol in it though... I could drink these all afternoon!" Then five hours later you are trying to get the sand and seaweed out of your er, uh, "nooks and crannies" after being overcome/seduced by this seemingly harmless little refreshment. It is yummy, uplifting and fun initially... then the vanilla and honey begin to toy with my olfactory lust button... Until the patch seals the deal. I'm huffing my own arms by then and have to go back for another round with the bottle (because the first one went down SO easy!) Awesome blend - the cops aren't knocking on my forehead, and I don't get a floral jab w/the magnolia (magnolia seems to amp heavily on me and can take over a scent). I'd be very surprised if Tropique doesn't sell out quickly!

JD I read this & it just cracked me up. I made a similar excursion to Home Depot to price refrigerators , HOWEVER I was wearing BAM peach (I put it on long before I made the decision to go to Home Depot!) only the Refrig dude could NOT get away from me fast enough, despite the fact that I was dressed nice, makeup'd & coiffed! LOL I was obviously in serious buying mode too - but he acted like he was scared I might take him into the lumberyard and ask him to show me some wood. I think that was my first dirty/sexy rejection while wearing cops inappropriately. I really am here to look at Charlene's Sanctuary tho... It sounds awesome (especially the intent) but I've hesitated because I was afraid I'd smell too 'incensy' with the myrrh & sandalwood listed high. What I'm reading here though (I think) is that the carnation or marshmallow is actually taking center stage?? I'd love to know where the myrrh and sandalwood come in to play for any of y'all.

It is funny how the scents can morph into something entirely different than what we expect. I got a PE last month that my husband really liked, and yet nothing he 'thought' he smelled was actually in it. I know scent-memories can also play a part & do funny things to us when describing smells. I really love this scent, and I'm a huge fan of MLH. Oddly enough, I put it on today and it was strictly vanilla-redwood on me! Gotta be hormones or something because up until today Kangaroo was always more almond/cherry from the get go! It's only a month old so I don't think I can say it's 'aged' LOL UPDATE: I've been so loving the June NR LPs that I had not worn this in awhile... I do love it... wet and dry... I'm to the point of wanting a FB but again, it doesn't last on me at ALL... maybe 2 hours at the very most. I wonder if the phero is still working after the scent disappears. Anyone with an idea? And if I order this in the silicone RB to hopefully get it to stay around awhile, how does the silicone affect the phero's blending with my skin (and EFX)? The reason for ordering a silicone base is to get the scent to last longer... right?

IKR?! It's becoming an all-purpose LP that is easy to wear. And I love your idea of getting a spray for hair. I think it would be perfect for that! so I think I'll take your lead, Mel.

TY for asking. It was fun and def good for our marriage. My husband has to have surgery on 7/7 and we're not sure about recovery time, so this little trip was probably the last chance at romance we'll have for some time. I also think it showed my MIL (highly critical of my housekeeping and cooking) just how difficult it is to have two teenage boys who don't lift a finger to help (without a lot of nagging & drama) and who are incredibly picky when it comes to food. She was pretty worn out waiting hand and foot on them thinking she would show me up I'm sure. I didn't get my LP package until last Monday after our return, and in that order was theTtobacco Berry I ordered. So you recommend layering MRF with tobacco berry? I think you also suggested LP original. Believe it or not I need to order that one - all I have is LP red (and of course the new releases) And I do have LAM original (vanilla?) in a spray, MRF in a RB. How do you layer those? I usually spray LAM on my torso since I noticed the cops in it and I want to avoid the hair/ clothing thing.

Yes, definitely, less IS more in this case. I like the idea you have with the honey-esque layering. I may try that with Aja or Phero G honey seems like it'd be a natural pairing! It really is a nice, albeit strong, scent. I don't want to scare anyone away from Exotica because if you establish the right strength & layering this could work for everyone - I'm convinced.

When I was "plotting out" my June NR "have to haves" (which was futile, because they ALL became H2Hs! - Thank you LUNA for making it impossible to "LOOK AWAY...") this one was NOT on my first list... now I love a good cup of joe and the whole sensory (or scent-sory for that matter) fresh roasted, brewed, Starbucks vibe, I did NOT think I'd want to wear it. Wrong-O. It is luscious and soft and bright and gives me all the warm fuzzies I enjoy with my first cup of good coffee in the morning. I can't think what to pair with this one (in terms of UNs) so I'd love some suggestions from the vets. I don't know if I'd go the cop route but maybe spritzing Topper on this one would make for a start to a great day!

OMG when I read this I immediately thought "THAT'S it!"... When I first slathered this on I got it too. I called it an "antiseptic jab in the nose" or something to that effect because I couldn't put my finger on just what that smell was. It IS that scent memory from my childhood when mom would put that damn Vicks Vap-O-Rub on your chest and you didn't know what was worse - the head cold or being able to SMELL that nasty salve. Fortunately, the next time I wore this I did NOT go the "slather" route. Using it gingerly gave me enough of the scent to dry down into something really quite nice. But, I don't think my HB will get past the incense-y resin vibe (he may make the Vicks connection too, LOL) which negates the Gotcha benefit for me. Exotica is one of those SCENTS, like Sex & Violins, that I absolutely must tread lightly with if I'm going to enjoy what it's about.

And I've come to love Nola again! And it IS a yummy foodie with a little boozy/smoky - similar in direction but totally different (IMO) than MRF! I know you like Marshmallow root StacyK that IS a good foodie fo sho. I know that's a good ingredient for me to look for... but as you may imagine, I still have much of a learning curve when it comes to making rational "unsniffed" decisions! FI, I'll go nuts seeing 4 out of 5 ingredients that I love listed on a scent; I make the obvious impulse buy just knowing it will be a safe bet. Then the shocking discovery that having that one particular pinch of something can indeed cause this dream scent to become a nightmare train wreck on my skin. Fortunately as you said, Mara is delightfully diverse when crafting her gift! For every disappointment I've had in a scent (that I just "knew" I was going to love) I've also discovered blends that I would have never EVER picked for myself that I absolutely salivate over, thanks to sniffy samples and freebies from forum members (like yourself) CIP - Something VooDoo is another one I covet now! TY for introducing me to it I happen to really love MRF but if no one wants to be around me when I wear it that kinda negates the whole SS4W thang.

I have learned to love this one - not the usual smell I gravitate towards but intriguingly arcane. Not sure if the Gotcha part works on my HB since he tends to gravitate towards (me with) the more sweet food smells... I'm thinking he can't get past the resin in this one. Wet, it gave an antiseptic jab to my nostrils but after dry down it's very feminine and exotic. Well, er, I guess that's the reason for the name. Duh.

Nearly 2 weeks in... went back to Ms. Nola to see if she saw me in her crystal ball yet. I guess she's actually in cahoots with Ms. Sex & Violins because I've had to earn the respect of both these ladies before they'd allow me to bask in their auras. I gave the bottle a gentle shake, uncapped and rolled inside my wrists. "Hmm. Not so boozy smoky this time..." Rolled on my torso... still good. Proceeded to slather & everything was WONDERFUL. I'm so relieved as I wanted to love this based on my favs and the reviews! I think I may pair it with LFN and get my own turban, crystal ball and bad-ass jewelry. My HB said I smell like a bourbon-soaked praline. Mind you, he has not seen the label on this; and my LP stuff is still my little surreptitious affair. But considering he's from Louisiana and BIG on any creole fare I'd say Mara hit the nail on the head with this elixir. Once again, it bears repeating... a resting period oftentimes pays off for these babies.

Are we already stalking July!? June was so incredible - how do you top that?

I did ignore it because I don't like to (openly) admit that my mind is always in the gutter... after I posted the "tequila shot" comment I re-read it and thought "Hmmm... what this actually makes me think of is ________" At least I know I'm in good company (I could make a play on words here, too, but won't) ETA: WOW QG... just noticed you are MISTER 6000 !!!

This has quickly become one of my favorite June NRs... it is clean and sheer but something is also very earthy and grounding. Very different than many of the other LPs I have and I certainly never expected to love it as much as I do! It's one of those I don't have to "be in the mood" for, and if I'm in the throngs of LP indecision I will just pick this up and go with it because I know I'll be happy with my choice. It just works for me in every way. I do wish it lasted a little longer on me but thankfully I got a FB on this one so I can keep touching it up!
