  1. SO PRETTY and PERFECT!!! ETA: I'm admiring these and keep thinking how much WORK has gone into creating them. All "we" had to do was "pose" and attach a photo file! Each one is a work of art and I know (as someone who relates to exhaustingly being sucked in to Photoshop and Creator for hours at a time) these were/are a HUGE undertaking on Mara's part. The easy way would have been to just use stock photography; this shows just how big PM's heart truly is.
  2. I'll add my apologies here too - I'm too IM chatty I know. We all needed the reminder.
  3. I am romping naked In beautiful field of Sugared Lilies, LOL. Guess I'll add that fantasy to my real Bucket Lust, er uh, I mean LIST. Seriously, THANK YOU Mara! I love transcending the almighty WEB & seeing who My LP sistahs really are! SJM is right... LP Family. BTW Sugared Leather ROCKS (naturally!) that's the sexiest one of the bunch... You are an artist in SO many ways.

thanks a million Rose... great advice straight from the heart, as usual. You are a gem
  5. SJM see what happens when you lure your forum friends over the (Sunset Kiss) Cliff in PE Land??? YOU get lured payback! We are ALL hopelessly good/bad for one another~
  6. SLEEPER SCENT! Who knew? I waited so long to try this one and it's now one of my favorites. There's a reason why it's ON Amazon, and ON the permanent fragrance list! It is yummy, foody, vanilla, smoky, sweet and OH SO SEX-AAAY. YES my two golden retrievers seem to really like MOM now but DAD likes mom even more when she's wearing this (thank you cops). I BET some might hesitate to try it because of the name (I was hesitant!) but if you haven't you are missing out. It is a feel good, comforting, happy fragrance. SMILE!
  7. LV I've yet to try anything with Lace in it and I was trying to decide what scent would be good to try as my first "boosted" order. I was getting overwhelmed because there are a ton of scents I love, but how do you decide which ones to pair? I guess SOME thought has to go in to the intent of the phero, right? - and in this case the 'slutty Girlie vibe' of SS screams LACE? Not that I'm a screamer, or anything But I'm willing to try. I'm still new at this and when you guys (forum vets) make a suggested pairing it's really helpful.
  8. I'm sad you even had to post this Halo. It's a shame that it's gotten to this point... worse than being a doctor on call (even doctors have associates and back-ups for when they need/take a break!) Sounds like you've managed to tolerate it for a good while, but enough is enough. With LP growing fast, something has to be done to make/keep it manageable for you at the very least. We all need to stop and remember there's only ONE Halo/Heather and HUNDREDS of us (there's 1300+ forum members!) so this is a logical, reasonable request everyone. Pass it on and make it happen.
  9. My husband inherited his Mother's motor mouth... she talks "without periods" and he "can talk the paint off a wall" if given the opportunity! When he starts in I feel the same way... I start looking for utensils. I tried BAM with him and didn't get much response (in the romance dept) I know they are similar in mix, but LAM just seems to flip the right switch. I think starting with LAM would be a good test run... then you can later ramp things up with the Sexpionage, BI, Gotcha! and Sexology blends since they seem a little more "scientific", so to speak. Good luck and be sure to post so we know what works - it's never an "exact science" for anyone and it always helps to hear what works/doesn't work for fellow forum members.
  10. Hi Potion Master... thanks for the update! As a 5 month old newbie (sort of) I do have a couple of questions that maybe you or Halo can answer. #1 - will you post any kind of instructions and/or rules beforehand for those (like myself) who've never had the SALE experience, per se? I'd hate to miss out on anything because I was too busy searching for info or worse - frozen in fear at the computer, not sure how to "do" this via the forum or doing it WRONG (heaven forbid!) #2 - (regarding your post above) how do AF purchases count towards freebies? Do we just checkout on AF, then you factor that separate amount into the overall August purchases? Actually this might be answered via Question #1... if there are prelim guidelines or instructions then Question #2 may already be answered Thanks for all the time and effort you and the LP staff put into this undertaking... a daunting task to say the least!
  11. Memorare I requested much of the same "guidance" from the forum when I started on LPMP. I don't know what I would have done if I hadn't gotten such great direction from the forum vets. Something I got on a total whim that actually got my SO to rev up our romance was Like a Magnet (LAM) Original - Sugared Vanilla & Honey. That one still gets him EVERY time. There's a reason they named it the man-magnet. I have lots of sexy-scents now that I play with, but if I want to guarantee a response, I know to pull out the LAM. All the LAMs are blended with Alpha-Androstenol (mood-elevator) and EoW Cops - you need to let it dry down good before dressing - I quickly learned there's a fine line between cops (scent) being arousing vs. mood-killing! My very first LP was LP Red, and I got it boosted with cops... it is AWESOME, (as is the Original LP if you haven't tried it) and they both cover cops well if you just want to experiment with layering with an OCCO (but I want the experts to chime in here on which OCCO would be the best to layer with LP Red - I just had mine boosted when I ordered it). Compromising Positions was recommended a lot during my early days of "research" I got CompPositions because I was forewarned about getting used to the smell of Sexpionage (GREAT advice to heed). Any blend with Sexpionage is great to amp things up. I actually used it more after I got us back in a 'routine' (so to speak) to spice things up even more. You will have a ton of fun experimenting... and Mara makes such incredible scents that you will get lost in this nirvana... like the rest of us!!!
  12. Welcome and what a darling avi!!! Lots of feline lovers around here... You will get hooked quickly... and the forum veterans are awesome at steering you in the right direction in regards to pheros. It's a lot more complicated than you may think. The best advice I can give you is to READ like you are studying to pass the bar exam. The "Reading Room" from the home page has really good info, and of course all the reviews and threads in the forum will be a HUGE source of helpful info. I'm a newbie to LP as of early March and it's been a whirlwind ride.

    Kitten Heels

You are absolutely right, Dolly I it's not anything I can identify immediately, like "pineapple" or "wood" ... That's why I'm thinking it's something I'm not used to smelling (yet) in my collection. It's not overly offensive, just LOUD on me. Almost like it doesn't play nice with the others. Obviously it's a note that MY chemistry amps. I'm not trying to be vague, I promise. It is like a pungent floral (but different than the lemony green note which is also there.) Is lotus a strong floral or delicate? I have several LPs with amber listed that I love, but I know there can be many varieties. I've been doing pretty well matching up scents for myself lately, strictly by notes. But KH really threw me... Everything in it sounded perfect for me yet I don't know what the top note is that is taking over the scent on me. I'm still in the learning phase, obviously. It's not sweet, as I said earlier, it's pungent. Thank you for trying to help!
  14. HAWAIIAN PUNCH FRUIT JUICY RED SO much fun to wear on a hot summer day! Amazing Mara

    Kitten Heels

I almost bought this FB unsniffed because it sounded so awesome! I recently got a sniffie of it... loved it wet, but on drydown something weird happened on my skin with something, and I nearly ran to wash it off. I'm thinking maybe the amber or the lotus? I wouldn't know "lotus" scent if I smelled it... is it usually a strong note? Amber I know, can be subtle OR in your face. 30 minutes into dry down and it's calmed down quite a bit. More powdery or perfumey, tinge of lemony green. I still can smell whatever that was in the initial drydown - and I still don't care for it - but at least it's taking more of a supporting role in the whole mix. I have LP#9 and KH smells nothing like it on me... go figure chemistry! I'm still trying to "connect the dots" comparing scents that work for me (and their notes) and those that don't so I can figure out what makes a safe (scent) bet for me. Any idea from you vets as to what I *might* be smelling in KH (at first drydown) would be appreciated.
  16. I loved this in the vial (and I usually don't 'do' florals) even for the first 15 minutes or so. I honestly thought this would be one floral (exception) for me but after 30 minutes my skin started amping something (the gardenia is what I'm guessing) and it turned rather loud and plasticky. I just know this must be lovely on those that can wear florals with total abandon! I wish it stayed "wet" on me because it was beautiful while it lasted.
  17. BG I would def listen to Halo... she knows her stuff with this. Put a dot of OCCO on a piece of clothing, smell it, let it rest, then go back and smell it again. To me, the cover fragrance can dissipate, leaving the cop smell pretty noticable. I found this out by accident while dabbing on OCCO blue and a drop of oil fell on my shirt - which I chose to change (glad I did!)
  18. I am FAR from being an expert on this but I would agree with RoseB... our noses get used to the smell & it doesn't seem as pronounced. Others may be not so easily pleased.
  19. I revisted this one last night... The Crayons were my first LP sampler and initially I thought Carbon Black was too perfumey for me. Of course now that it's GONE I'm beginning to really love it. It is sexy and earthy and nothing like any other floral blend I've ever smelled. It says "I mean business" in a (non-threatening) powerful, sexy way. If I didn't know better I would SWEAR it's spiked with LFN. It has great staying power without being completely "in your face" the first hour. One minute I get floral, then next musk, then honey. And it all works magic. Black honey... what kind of bees make black honey? This is one of "THOSE" scents I'm going to forever stalk in the upcoming sale, on Artfire and in the trades... there's a reason why they fly of the shelves, so to speak.

    Honey Whip

I ordered FB of Honey Whip - unsniffed - simply based on the comparison to FP (and Luna's descriptions which seem to hypnotize me every time) First dab & wet I got the licorice and NOT FP, but it didn't take long to dry down into a perfect melange of honey, marshmallow, vanilla and that leeetle hint of something darker (gotta be the amber/licorice combo) I guess it reminds me of FP with some of the notes, but IMO the end product is different and lovely on its own. ETA: I guess I should give SOME credit to Mr. Tighty-Whitey (label dude) for reminding me of every bad boy I've ever lusted for - let's just say he sealed the FB deal.
  21. Great review BC. I love "a thick creaminess that is really more of a texture than a scent". That is spot on. It's very different & unusual but for whatever reason I am drawn to it quite often this summer!
  22. I diagnosed myself as more of a foody-sweet scent chick because many of the florals just light up my sinuses a bit much... I'm now finding that's far from being the rule for me.... Guess I need to study and compare my floral notes otherwise I may miss out on something fab like Kiss of Nectar. I get immediate Honeysuckle with an little tinge of butterscotch. The musk makes the Hydrangea & Hyacinth play nicely, and this one has staying power on me.
  23. Ditto Amalthea & Luna.... I just got a bottle of The Sand Witch off the trades & loved it, all the while fretting because it's long gone and now I only have this ONE bottle that has to last FOREVER. Enter Sweet Surrender... it's not exact, but every bit as wonderful...it didn't last as long as I'd like either, but for summer I'm ok with having the lighter wear during a hot day. I'm thrilled with how so many of these beefcake blends turned out!!! Yummy scents (and those labels...*NOM NOM*) ETA: Put this on again today... it does smell very Hawaiian Tropic/suntan oil when wet (and for the 30-40m)... but then it morphs into something more "grown up" and pretty. Granted, I have to smush my wrist right into my nose to smell it after the first hour, but it's such a nice, happy scent, regardless!
