  1. Hmmm... Think I'm gonna up my dosages to three sprays like some have used here. One or two doesn't seem to have much of an effect for me or others at 1x strength UN. Or maybe I just work around a bunch of depressing sods.
  2. I will have to return to this one for the full review it deserves. I remember splitting a bit on my wrists before heading out to brunch, since I hadn't tried it before. From what I remember, it went on very demure and blossomed assertively about an hour or two later to smell very sophisticated but "vintage." It's definitely not a modern-type scent despite all those florals supporting the woody scents and resins. I really liked this one wet. But from first experimentation, I could see where "just right" can slide swiftly into "Oh Lord, I smell like a granny." Maybe some layerables could lighten things...?
  3. Well, the good news is it works! Can't complain at all about measuring amounts. As long as it hits, that's all that matters.
  4. I'm going to keep working at this one. While LFN gives me selfies out the wahzoo and is just a delectable "Why yes, I am that sultry and glamorous woman you're smelling," I feel like LFM is just "Yup, I'm cool." Still more of a reaction overall than SS4W, but it's maybe not congruent with my personality. Gonna keep trying. My bottle had a bit of a oil leak in my purse so the label is ruined, so I'm really looking for more positive reactions like you ladies are having before ordering another. Perhaps I should try the spray instead...
  5. Hmm... I forgot you could apply LFM to clothes and it still work. Then again, I purchase oils for the majority of my scents/pheros so that may be why it wouldn't have readily occured to me. Do you find reactions vary through the clothing method vs. on-skin, Halo? Or does it typically work the same because you're applying it all over as well? I can't remember if there are discussions on this...
  6. I'm actually in search of another The Big Easy spray bottle now that I've tried it out more. I think I was one of the last ones to grab a bottle on ArtFire. I feel like such a fool 'cause I let it just sit there so dang long without my love! This is sprayed on my bed at night so I can drift off happily to sleep. I've probably only worn it four times, but the rest goes straight for the sheets. Thankfully, the clean, green ingredients don't build up and turn sour on my comforter between washes. Something about this is so airy and powdery, even though all I see are floral/herbal notes. It's pretty amazing. Oh, and I think the Teddy BB is pretty rad. I dream so vividly and deeply with it. Sometimes I take melatonin to help me sleep, and sometimes I spray The Big Easy, which is honestly like crack in a bottle for me lately. I posted more on Mara's journal about the dream I had. The stuff makes magical and imaginative dreams, even for daytime conservative, by-the-rules me. I think the Teddy BB is mostly at work. I dream so vividly and deeply with it, and everything seems so... ethereal. Hard to explain. It's almost like, I am aware that I am dreaming in a wonderous world/dimension not like my usual one, but still fully ready to participate and act through my dream persona/avatar. It may be the clary and the lavender. Dunno. Most dreams, even the bad ones, seem more along the lines of peculiar and curious before turning better. It's fab.
  7. Got this during the sale, and boy am I glad! I feel exactly like the young lady on the label when I wear this, head kinda sloshed to the side and everything. It's a bright and yet creamy peach... well, sparkle on my arm. After drydown, it doesn't have the greatest throw on my thirsty skin, but the champagne still manages to hold strong for a good 30 mins before the creamy buttercream/almost vanilla base with the heart of apricot/peach speaks up later. It's fruity and tart (in a good way). More cheeky than bright, in my opinion. Definitely not your usual peach scent. This would be a fabulous happy hour perfume in the summer. I can see putting this on before going out and then toasting away with glass after glass of moscatos or house vodka drinks on a warm, breezy evening. *cough* Not that I've done that often or anything... This is going on my list for a second bottle.
  8. I have Treasured Hearts in Terra Mater trial vial. I love the scent package but in concerned the TH makes me morose and mopey. I applied shortly after a two day phero break from my usual scents and I was super dejected all day after hearing news that the a-hole doctors I work with fired a temp worker. I wasn't even close to her or particularly liked her, but I appeared to be in a funk all day afterwards. Everyone else seemed normal, but by the end of the day, I had a headache. Tested again, and I got another headache. Not one to get headaches, I am going to chalk it up to TH. Anyone else get a bit of a crash? I think it's so bizarre that I would crash on this blend... Maybe it's just psychological?
  9. Have I already reviewed this? Yes? No? Well here we go anyway with some road testing... Oh my goodness, I've found my shoe with the Bat Totem blend! And thanks to the LFN boost, that show is a black-brown, velvety four-inch stiletto with aubergine bottomed soles ready for hours of man-devouring comfort. Wet, this is munching on licorice in a damp forest. The earth is green and clean without being oppressive thanks to the birch and the licorice doing a balancing act to partner with the sweet soil accent. This dries down to what I would assume is smooth vetiver and patchouli with a hint of something woodsy (or perhaps floral with the marigolds?). This is my first experience with vetiver. It almost reminds me of a masculine scent, but the notes never quite "go there" to full on man-smell. Which is great because there's no way I could do without the combination of Bat and Le Femme Noir. When wearing this, people can't help but look it seems. Typically, I'm very much a "cleans up well" gal--which is a nice way of saying my default setting is "there's potential to look nice, but she ain't showing it today." LOL. So I slathered some Bat Totem on the other week and went to an old college roommate and close friend's birthday dinner. We sat at this long table, and I actually ended up across from another college roommate (but not a close friend) and her boyfriend--the lone male to attend. The whole dinner, he barely looked me in the eye when I spoke to him or looked in his direction. BUT when I wasn't looking at him, turned to glance at a television behind me, or focused down the table at someone else, etc... He would openly stare straight at me or glance continously in my direction. He's not the kind to avoid me or anyone else so I thought it was bizarre how tight-lipped he suddenly got. Could have been my more uninhibited "charming" behavior as well though. When I put on sexy pheros like Cougar Potion, LFN or LFM, I tend to get a little fresh. I think even if the "damp dirt" is making you hesitate, just know the LFN alone might make it worth the try if you haven't experimented with that phero yet.
  10. Oh nooo! I'm excited because Halloween is my favorite holiday, but now I'm sad because I haven't ordered my layerables yet. Does this mean layerables are going to disappear with the October releases? I'm still such a newbie... How on Earth do you make all those adorable emoticons?
  11. You took the thought from my brain, Stacy! The more I read the description, the more I wondered if it resembled my favorite sugar and pink sprays by Aquolina. Definitely gonna grab a bottle.
  12. Halo, would you know if this is a newly crafted recipe, or would I still find the same ingredients in an older sugared layerable bottle?
  13. I agree with you, Stacy--I amp maple like crazy, as it seems to be one of those scents that are easy to throw. However, on me, as it dries down it tends to smell somewhat similar to warm syrup, although not quite maple syrup... Ahh, I dunno. I'm just gonna zip it bad-mouthing brown sugar, lol. That said, I don't mind the brown sugar, it's just I'm looking for an almond heart and/or base so this one can be layered with other blends containing more subtle almond notes. A sweet and sugary top note is nice, but almond staying power is my greatest reason to buy. Thanks, Andros! I appreciate you noting that it is 'dry' and could easily create the marzipan effect with another layerable. That does help me imagine the scent better. I was half afraid if I mix it with something like Ionia, I might come out smelling like a pastry, lol
  14. Hmmm, I want to order, but the 'lots of brown sugar' is a bit of a turn off for me since I tend to amp it already. Usually I end up with a headache, smelling like pancakes or something. Anyone buy? Do the almonds hold their own?

    Ionia

This one is the biggest surprise I received from the sale. I was thinking it would be a typical gourmand scented blend, but it's more subtle and definitely not a strictly foodie smell. It's the sophisticated idea of a gourmet dessert, without the in-your-face cupcake scent one might expect. Wet, I get almond bolstered by vanilla with a mid-range of 'not quite' cherry balanced with egg, followed by a whisper of the nutmeg. On my skin I smell a subtle flan with very persistent berry--which like Blue Bear noted, my brain wants to say cherry, but I hate cherry since it sours on me so I would know it if actually were an authentic cherry note. Ohhh, and that nutmeg is sooo subtle, it's amazing. I was hoping Sugared Moon Dust would express the nutty scents this subtly, but to me, that one just screams "nuts!" Overall, Ionia is quite grown-up and more of a perfume than a tasty blend. The only thing that could make this less grown-up is the adorable glitter! I'm a sucker for glitter, hehehe.
  16. I've been sniffing this for months and never gave it a chance until tonight. I stabbed a dot on my inner elbows to give it a test-run finally. Even two hours later, I get no blossoms or wood at all with this--it is a straight rice pudding gourmand scent on me. In the bottle I picked up on the plum, struggling to make itself known under the creamy, almost buttery rice scent. But on me it amps pudding with PUDDING AND OH DID I MENTION PUDDING. It's got a hint of a spicy something which may be the teakwood, but the foodsy scent is so strong it makes my brain think "clove" instead. It actually reminds me of exactly the way a "buttered popcorn" flavored Jelly Belly bean smells. Which... Ehhh, can't say I love. Not my best reaction, all in all. Definitely gonna end up a trade item, once I figure that process out. Would be a great item to pick up for this autumn/winter.
  17. I'm super late getting back to this thread, because I had a huge numpty moment and didn't even follow my own thread... (Thought there would be automatic notifications as with other forums). I did read a couple of the responses, and went with Cougar. I took my sampler Cougar oil and swiped the wand in a cut throat path (from ear to ear under my chin along my neck), a dot for my cleavage, and dots to both wrists. In retrospect, I could have maybe gone easy on the application since I ended up running around serving appetizers and drinks and hors d'oeuvres the whole time until my BFF yelled into the kitchen, "Stop serving us and sit down!" She's great, and largely unphased by my pheros for some reason... People did mention that they loved my apartment and it looked "staged" and glamorous. Perhaps that was a part of the Cougar giving off a mature, lovely air? I think everyone was surprised, since I was the last to graduate college, start working, and move-out by myself, among my college friends. So I do thank you all for your support---and the suggestion to go with sexy, mature blends like Cougar! Mission accomplished! I will look into Treasured Hearts and Heart & Soul. I have been hesitant to buy that because I work with people who I don't want to bond with in particular, haha. Next time, though! Thank you so much for the recommendations. : )
  18. I was wondering... Is it too late to send in a photo to Mara? I finally got my nerve up, but I'm afraid it may be too late. (I'm fine with it being too late btw, if that's the case because I'm just getting into posting, and I understand my poor timing!)
  19. I cannot wear this at all, and it close to a crying shame because I long for more dark and resinous, black-hearted blends like this to mix with my sultry UNs. Unfortunately, this and other amber, honey, patchouli blends amp with the subtlety of a death metal band in a library on my skin. I was just going through my samples, trying to smell out the notes so I could make another purchase when a 1-2mm drop of LP: Black flicked out onto my thigh. I actually shrieked in distress, I kid you not. This scent screams on me unlike any of the LPs, and not in a pleasant way. I went and sprayed a blast of Big Easy to calm the scent--as well as me--until I can shower it off. Would anyone have suggestions as to how to "tame" the darkness? I can't stand patchouli on a good day, so to have two trials of LP:B is honestly two too many for me. Think I saw someone suggest layering with super sweet or buttercream blends... Do you all think a candy floss or warm sugar could bring it down about eight notches? I'd hate to have to trade them because I'm a novice.
  20. Hi all, I've been lurking for a while but thought I'd pop up and ask a question quickly since I've been thinking about it but still haven't figured out an answer. I'm hosting a housewarming in a little less than 24 hours, and was wondering what phero enhanced (or maybe not) scents I could wear for about six hours in an enclosed space with up to thirty people. I'm inviting some people who I haven't seen in a long while so I want to give the impression that I've matured and grown up into a bit of a sexy, charming young lady. I'm 26 years-old, Taurus, and I enjoy schmoozing and hosting. My personality is mostly laid-back nerd-chic, but during parties I try to channel my more confident, smoldering femme fetale. I've experimented with LFM, but haven't noticed much more than increased glances and smiles from strangers when I wear it. People don't get too chatty--or really speak at all. I worry I'm not wearing it in proper amounts (Too much maybe... I wear rolls on collar, cleavage, and wrists?). I've noticed very little resposonse with my un SS4W, and Squeaky Clean w/ SS4W. Although Squeaky makes me feel better since it smells soapy and fresh on me, like I've bathed in good vibes, kinda subpar reactions. TMI enhanced gives me the same feeling. I don't know if people get friendlier or more chatty... I just love the scent so I keep wearing it, hahaha I adore Cougar. It is probably all in my head, but I dress more sexy and my makeup always looks best after applying Cougar. People definitely stare discreetly, but rarely do they approach me to speak. Except the occasional old man. But they've got no shame, lol. Cougar is at the top of my list for the party, but I'm concerned it may be too much "edge" for floating between guests and keeping everyone friendly... Any advice for a sexy "eyes-on-me" when I'm engaging folks without going overboard into the "woah, something about her is really intense"? And also, any advice on where/how much to apply? Since my cloud won't be moving much in my mid-sized one bedroom apartment... I don't wanna turn off my guests or go ghost. As for what I have... I own a brand new newbie sampler kit, some various non-phero perfume samples, and FBs of Courage & Bravery, Lap of Luxury, SWS, SS4W, Nekosume, LFM. Thanks!!! (Sorry for the repost! Had to get those pesky autocorrects out the title)
