    Katerina Suit

Okay, this was up today, so I tested it. In the vial, it doesn't appeal to me. I find that I usually tend to experience chocolate notes as harsh. HOWEVER... It was much better on my skin. At first the leather amped, which I am sort of fond of, but then it just settled down into a pleasant, perfumey scent. It was very interesting and surprising, the way it morphed. I still don't think it's a "me" scent, but I can now understand why many people like it.
  2. Mmmm...it's not a "me" scent. No pressure, though, I just thought I'd mention it.

    Jewels of Avalon

Oh there is? On Etsy? Good to know! Yeah, I like it. He's silly.
  4. I have a Katerina Suit trial size that I'd be willing to part with, too. I'm testing it out today, actually.
  5. Me too, but that's why I'm asking! I have a trial size of this that I've already tested and I'd be willing to part with it...not sure how much is left in it, though. I can check if you're interested.
  6. Oh my god, I just looked up Celebutante and Goddess of the Blue Moon...WANT!!!!

    Jewels of Avalon

Yummy! It smells like fresh, juicy red apples. I like it. And yeah, I can see the "Salon Selectives" thing, lol. It threatens to turn a bit plasticky on me on drydown, but somehow it never quite follows through on the threat. Thank goodness. My husband is not crazy about it, or so he says (I am starting to think he says these things to discourage me from buying any more perfumes! I'm not paranoid, you're paranoid!). But what does he know? He says they're all starting to smell the same to him.
  8. Thank you! Why doesn't anyone IRL understand my perfume needs? I forgot to mention that I also want B2.2, if I don't have it already (I don't think I do).
  9. My family says I have enough perfumes. Meanies. I disagree. I want full bottles of: -Betrothal Potion -a couple of the new spell potions...especially the Serenity Potion -Inspire Desire (maybe. Probably). Alas, I have no money to spend at the moment. Plus I need to save for when the new potions are released.
  10. I haven't smelled any of these except for OCCO: Ambrosia and Naughty Nurse!!! I want to smell all the things!

    Iron Angel

This scent is very different, but I like it. I agree that it gives the feeling of iron without smelling metallic, somehow. And I also love that it's based off of an ancient perfume recipe. Anytime I heard the words "ancient" and "perfume" being used together, I am sold! It has become a soft, feminine, slightly perfumey scent after about half a day of wear. Still very nice.
  12. Another one over here, please! OMG, let's speculate! What do you think might get rebrewed? I haven't been around long enough to know what the best candidates would be.

    Irish Rose

This smells like roses and greenery to me. I was surprised to come here and see that it has lime in it, as I didn't get that, although I do remember earlier that it did cross my mind, which is weird. I have no idea what linden blossom is or what it smells like...but I have noticed that I've seen it somewhere listed as a note like "linden/lime," so are they related? Well at any rate, I love roses and I love "green" scents, so I love this. Very pretty! I judge all rose scents by an air freshener my mom had when I was little. It was some kind of rose-scented powder in a little jar. It was lovely. I don't know why I added this but there you go, lol.

    Ionia

Marzipan, you say? I liked this one, and I hate marzipan with all the fiery passion of a thousand burning suns. (Well, okay, maybe not that much ). On me, it was just a pleasant, sweet scent with a bit of a tangy edge that prevented it from being cloying. I was surprised that I liked it, actually. I'm not usually much for foodie scents (with my usual "except for orange cupcakes" disclaimer), but this was quite nice.

    Inspire Desire

Mmmm, I love this one! I need to try it again--it on one arm, and Atomic Mandarin on the other. I need to do that because they seem kind of the same to me without comparing them side-by-side. But, no matter, I love them both! Yep, I've been turned into an orange cupcake scent lover. I might need a full bottle of this. Update: I'm trying Atomic Mandarin on my left wrist and Inspire Desire on my right wrist right now, before I shower. Atomic Mandarin is more cakey to me, and the vanilla comes through more, while Inspire Desire is more orangey and lays closer to my skin. It's like AM is the delicious cupcake batter, and ID is the freshly-baked cupcake decorated with icing and sparkly pink sugars. They are definitely different. ID seems more "golden" and pink to me, if that makes any sense. And AM is more foodie. They're both so gorgeous I don't even know what to do with myself right now.
  16. Soooo...I know this is a unisex scent, but it still surprised me that it's in the men's forum. But then, I love green scents. This one is so interesting to me, in every way. First of all, I love the label. LOVE IT!!! So I was slightly disappointed when I found I didn't love the scent...at first. That was way back when I first received my vial. But, this was the scent that was up for trial yesterday, and I don't know what changed, but now I love it. It's like the greenest green scent that I have ever smelled. It screams green. It turns a bit perfumey on me, but I still love it. I was sniffing my wrist all day yesterday. Now I want a bottle and it's sold out. Boo.
  17. I am not sure I gave this one a fair shake when I wore it a few days ago, because I have been in the mood to slather myself with Amphitrite before bed lately, and that stuff has staying power! Plus, everything else just pales in comparison, really. I love my Amphitrite... Anyway, I think it's a very pretty, floral scent. I will have to try it again sometime to really get a handle on it, though. I handed my husband the vial and he didn't like it, but then I handed him Ilori to smell and he thought it smelled the same. Why do I ever even ask him for his opinion? LOL.

    Honey Whip

This is very, very light on my skin, so much so that it's almost undetectable. It's pretty, though, if I put my nose right up to my wrist. It smells like honeycomb to me. I don't think I'd buy a full bottle of this one just because it's SO light. Unless I could afford to bathe in it or something. It really smells like a skin scent to me.
  19. This one started out delightfully Christmassy on me yesterday, but it didn't last--it turned all weird on me fairly quickly. Which made me sad because sometimes I enjoy smelling like a Christmas tree. But when it turned, it turned into a very "ointment"-like smell, which doesn't appeal to me. I am not sure what caused it--the poinsettia? That's the only note I am not sure about. Or maybe the plum? I don't know. I know gardenia tends to go ointment-y on me, but there's no gardenia in this, so...I dunno!

    Highland Fling

This is one that I'm not sure about. I kind of like it in the vial, although it is a bit foodie. It smells buttery. But on my skin, it turns very perfumey right away. Almost overwhelmingly so. I will need to give it another trial sometime, though, just for the daffodil if nothing else. Because I love daffodils!

    Heatwave

I love the sound of this one, reading the notes. But something in it, to me, smells a bit harsh in the vial. Then on my skin, there's an edge to it that reminds me of male sweat. Which is really odd! It almost makes me wonder if my nose is interpreting the scent based on the picture on the label. And then it goes away, but so does the perfume soon after. I don't know; I feel like I should love this one, but it doesn't really work for me in reality. Sadness.

    Haunted Hallows

I find this scent really interesting. I wasn't sure about the smoke note, as sometimes it gives me a headache, but it's not overpowering in this. This brings to mind a mental image of being in a foggy cemetery on a cold autumn day, where you can see your breath coming out in white puffs and the fog lends a surreal quality that gives you a sense of dreamy melancholy. I feel like I can smell leaves and distant smoke in the chill air.

    Hanagumori

This one is so pretty; I like it a lot. Very fresh and floral, maybe the teensiest bit powdery. I love the notes, too. And on me, it lasted all day. Great staying power.
  24. Good to know he's not alone! Lol
