I love The Empress! Like Mc Creepers said is just soooooooo cozy,warm and comforting. I don't get any dairy out of it, it really smells like a fresh baked,warm from the oven spicy oatmeal cookie drizzled lightly with honey on me. Its great to wear on those chilly days in fall or winter where the gray clouds cover the sky like a blanket and you want fuzzy slippers,tea, and a good book. It brings that 'secure' feeling,at any time you wear it though,even at the height of summer. I swear,these Embody the Tarot oils ARE just like spell oils, in they're own right. They truly make you feel the intent with which they were brewed. This one is nurturing,womanly...'motherly' without being 'matronly'. Every one I've tried has been obviously magical....I wish I had them all! My favorite is The Star,with this coming as a close second.

How the butt nuts is it that I never reviewed this? I THOUGHT I did! Aiyiyi. Well sorry,I'll do it right now! This here is the GOOD stuff! Its the MAYBERRY type of blueberry,which in short,is much more realistic than any other blueberry that I've sniffed in a perfume. Plump,juicy and still dotted with a bit of the water you used to rinse them off, and sprinkled lightly with clean white sugar which makes the whole top "sparkly",dig? Then,as this gorgeous top fades down,were left with a warm,jammy blueberry pie filling fragrance which lasts and lasts ALLLL day! This turned out very special! EXACTLY what I was hoping for! So,if you missed out on Mayberry this has that yummy blueberry note(no flour/pastry though,of course),or if your curious to see how WELL blueberry CAN be done in perfumery(I have smelled all sorts of WRONG versions over the years until smelling Mara's),check this out! Its fun,sparkly,juicy,jammy and delish,with FABULOUS staying power!

I gotta say to anyone waffling on buying this,that it has aged freakin BEAUTIFULLY! The notes have all melded into this perfect veil of golden delight. The star is the sandalwood. Indeed,the quality is remarkable. Its smooth,creamy and radiant,I love it..much more now than when I bought it a few years back. The honey and vanilla are there too,but lightly,just enough to sweeten the blend a tad, the berry adds jusssssssst a tiny little tinge of tang. There are resins and attars,of course, but really it all comes off as this warm sweet delicious sandalwood on me. So, if you like a creamy soft sandalwood that clings to your skin all day(Raq is right too,this is particularly gorgeous in the warmth of summer),check this one out. A sleeper favorite!

Out of this months I'm into trying Lightning in a Bottle, Secret Sweetness,Living Doll and Beautiful Dreamer. ,,I'm wondering if Living Doll is in any way akin to Babe in the Woods?

I just hope that Living Doll smells like dolls!

Tues is payday. Whoop! I'm finally gettin my mug on a bottle of Sugared Blueberries( ) prooobably in a spray cause how often does a person get they're FACE on an LP?? Word!! Also a roll on of Sugared White Musk, and one of my forum sample requests will be Feed the Flowers. Dunno what the other one will be yet. I'm curious about more sugars....can those be requested as samples or no?

Well, this is an older potion, but I want to drop a quick review on it anyways cause it affected me in an awesome way today. I was in bed with a hangover caliber headache which is ridiculous and lame as I haven't had a drink in 8 months, but there it was. I'm laying there surfing the forum and I came across the post about the new energy phero that Mara & co are working on and it brought this scent to mind. Scent wise, this is like drinking a strong cup of Peppermint Tea while sitting on my mom's porch by the lavender plants on a cool spring day. Its all fresh and zingy and clears away the cobwebs. The oil itself tingles on your skin from the mint, and therefore feels sooooo refreshing on the temples, the base of your neck, and the crooks of your elbows. Delicious. Within twenty minuites my headache was gone and I went and did dishes. Magic! I'm not really into pheros so much, like I dig em ok , but usually the scent magic is where its at for me, but this one really seems to give me some drive along with the aromatherapy aspect of the oil. Its a great combo. I also like how this scent sorta only sticks around long enough to do its job,then fades fairly quickly so I can move onto another "perfume" LP for the rest of the day. It's a super effective and specific oil that aces at its purpose. Being that November is phero month, I thought I'd bring a little attention back to Focus Pocus.,I think it would be really nice to see something like this again, either with Focus Potion, or the new energy phero. Mi gusta!

I'm not gonna single out any specific spell/magic oils cause I've loved all the ones I've tried. That being said, I DO think it would be cool if LP could do one set of magic oils per year. Not JUST spell oils, but even something like the tarot oils, orrrrr like Ashes to Dust,Wishcraft, ect. I am sure that they take a massive amount of work,and maybe its just not feasible, but I'd love to see one month a year like that. Maras magic/spell oils actually really WORK,and are truly something to be treasured and looked forward to!

That review was music to my ears, Silky! I've been waiting to hear if this is more "candy necklace" blueberry or the super good stuff that Mara used in Mayberry which smelled soooooo real and delicious! Sounds like it's gonna be the good stuff! Wheee! Ps: I'm on the label for this one now. I'm the blueberry BEAST! Don't be shy on the reviews for this one y'all! I'm living vicariously till next tues. Its over a year later and I'm just seeing this post! Sorry!! I dunno if you still wanna, know this or not Stacy, but if Im remembering correctly it's baby powder,white musk, lily of the valley,violet and mimosa. Godspeed!

This is my favorite musk type by far, and one of my top five "Sugared Wants". I have lots of different versions of white musk, and though I've smelled Maras version of it IN things, I'm excited to get to sniff it in its mostly pure state now. Yay!! It's one of the comfiest scents in the world to me, can't wait to get my mitts on this!

Its late, and I'm coming down with the bug of doom! Sooooo, this is gonna be a quickie. I got this in a trade last year (with Blackcat, I think. Thanks lady! ) Anyway, this is lovely. The rosewood really stands out to me and it's smoooooth. Makes me think of church pews polished till they have that dull glow. In fact, the whole vibe is churchy, but not in the typical censer incense way that I'm always looking for. The incense is there, but not in an overwhelming way. The fruits stay quiet, and just lend a brightness, and the wine is real mellow. I'm glad too, cause the wine freaked me out in the description. I can't smell dragons blood, but there's a note that recalls old parchment, and I'm guessing that's the db doing its thing. Light warmth is given by the Cassia. Man, the whole thing together just SINGS. I love the construction. I can see the protection reference, cause this potion gives a secure kind of vibe. A "shelter from the storm" sort of feel. Like being in a candlelit church at night, that you just ducked into to escape the cold. There are old scrolls on a rosewood podium, and you can smell the remnants of incense and wine from the mass an hour earlier,and your safe and warm,safe and sound. This will be great for bedtime! Glad I came upon it!

Hurm. Theres something going on here and it smells like Curry on me. Its bummin me out,man! On paper this sounds like SUCH a "me" scent, but its going all tikka,masala. Wtf. Maybe my hormones are screwing t up? I'm gonna try it again after I give birth to the dumpling.

Blackcat, I'm betting it'll have that general vibe, but will probably smell quite different cause its got rose ,smoke (and resins?), instead of lily. The earth note is there though. Love that...yay!! Eta: I'm all geeked over that smoke note.
