  1. Dude, skin chem is so weird. I love ylang. But unlike for BC, this was suuuper light on me, not heady at all like I'm used to my ylang being. I fixed mine though, put ten drops of ylang EO in my bottle, shook it up and let it sit overnight. Now its perfect!! I love it blended w/the lighter ylang and sugars.
  2. Lovestruck, I know you posted this awhile ago, but a few suggestions I think would be nice are: leather, birthday cake, white musk, oakmoss, greenery, black pepper, orchids & iris!
  3. Mm mm...loving these descriptions! Sandalwood is a newfound love of mine. I didn't know how much I really liked it till the last year or so. I think I'm going to need this in my life! I love the different LP sandalwood notes, especially the one in Majmua Sultana! I'm interested to smell it mainly on its own! This may not be that variety, but I still really want this one! eta: sorry so many exclamation points!!!
  4. Blackcat, I'm trying to find words! The hype is REAL. I think this is my favorite out of all the new ones to come my way..definitely top ten of all time! I like this more than some of my OWN PE's. I'll be back with more later, busy right now and wanna do this some justice with a great review! eta: one thing I'll say, I had been debating cutting my hair short for about a month..it was dead and TIRED. Well, about an hour after I put the Mojo on,I had my mom chop it! I feel like a new, sexy lady! I thinnnk it was the Mojo!
  5. Balm bomb is what I'd say, but I don't think any pheros will work for "intense " anxiety...good luck though! Sounds like something for a doc..I went to therapy for my panic attacks. It helped a lot. Eta: I personally would look more at the spell oils. they work great!
  6. My first order in over a year is winging its way to meeee! Hooray!!
  7. I like this, wore it the other night. It seems to have developed more complexities in the aging. I can smell the salt air and incense now much better in the dry down than I used to be able to. Skin chemistry at work: I wore this on myself, pretty well slathered and carried around my little baby all day long. Well on me I got the nifty salty sea note with a hint of sweetness in the background in the long dry down, but Elena smelled like I dipped her straight in a vat of pink cotton candy! It smelled totally different on her, and she smelled almost as cute as she looks! I do mean to wear this more often before the weather cools off again. It's light, but very nice.
  8. Wow, didn't know this one has been around for so long! I tried this the other night and it's another that's perfect for summer.! The ever Elusive REAL strawberry scent, dripping with dew and fresh cut grass. As others have said, its very tart and evocative of childhood and summer days in the sprinkler. At dry down,I get some patch, but it's gentle like white patch, and in the LONG dry down it becomes this really nice strawberry flavored, dusty sandalwood. I love sandalwood,so I find it gorgeous at this stage. Lasts 12 hours on my skin, but stops projecting very far around the 3 hour mark. Very nice and fairly straightforward summer strawberry. Like!
  9. From what I understand, You aren't supposed to use pheros around small babies(i'm not 100% on that but I have read it)...I know you aren't supposed to use them while pregnant for sure!
  10. A Cat that Walks by Herself....totally! Good imagery for this!
  11. I adore this. On one of my LP hiatuses, I collected "lots' of vintage scents(like 15 bottles at once for like 40 bucks or something) on eBay. I had several hits, some misses, but all in all I feel like I really widened my scope of knowledge on perfumery in general by doing so. Moggie reminds me ALOT of one of the classic civet/powder bomb scents that was huge in the 50's and 60's. The honey pulls to powder on me in a few minutes, and almost gives off the vibe of oakmoss in that respect, just a lot sweeter. And something fizzes, almost like an aldehyde. Maybe that catnip, I dunno. The civet is VERY realistic for being a synthetic! I have bottles that contain the real deal(I would never buy it new mind you, I think the way it's harvested is AWFUL) but it's spot ON for the real thing. Such a classy, powdery, musky old school BOMB of an LP! I am so glad I took a chance on this. I almost didn't cause I was scared it would be all vag..ha! Think along the lines of Carven MaGriffe, Avon Occur...the musk even reminds me a little bit of Elizabeth Taylor's Passion(my favorite commercial scent). Good stuff, yet again! Thanks to the always wonderful Blackcat for sharing her stash with me!
  12. Yeah I only have a lil sniff...boo! Maybe it'll happen one day! I'll be all over that. Thanks for the info Snoopy!
  13. Man. I sniffed out Tonka Tobaccum for the first time last night and my head exploded. So wonderful, so sad I missed it! is this along those lines too at all?
  14. So gorgeous Mara! I assume (hopefully) that we will get pics of everything eventually? Man this stuff is beautiful! And its all a decent size too! 8 ounces, hallelujah! So many artisan b&b places charge an arm and a leg for like, 4 oz of lotion. (gives Farm Hussy and plenty others the side eye)..
  15. This isn't my full review yet, but I must note that I'm testing some VERY heavy scents at the moment on different places on my arms(Eve of Darkness, Eye of the Moggie, Liquid Mystery,Blackcat Mojo), and the sandalwood in this one is throwing its weight around! I can smell it more intensely projection wise than any of the others! Good thing I love sandalwood. sandalwood?? sandle-wow!! (sorry, dorky)
  16. I know maaaaann...the description totally DID say buttercream. Methinks Sinister may have read the wrong label? Ha, I dunno. I didn't look at my original review, oops! Sorry, probably sound like a broken record. Ah well, one day maybe I'll give the icing PE a shot! I do miss this scent. I traded mine to someone who loves it to bits. Regret! But not major regret because I know how much she enjoys it.
  17. This is nice! At first I was sorta thrown because something in here gives off a really alcoholic blast at first. Like liquor! And that part I could do without, its probably just how the bakers vanilla has aged, like the alcohol in vanilla extract. But as soon as its dry enough to touch your skin again, that's gone, and like the others have said, its a really tasty honeyed vanilla with what feels like a kiss of almond, or maybe marzipan? I don't know what the notes are. Honey Vanilla and amber says the previous posts. Anything else? I enjoy it, its real tasty! My kid seems to like it too, she's chewing on my leg as I type!
  18. I know that theres been PE's done to try to copy this, and Mara didn't brew it or have a sample of it,etc etc etc everyone loves this. Me too. Its wonderful. But I'm telling ya'll, I think I have cracked the DaVinci code of this. Maybe I'm off base, I dunno. I don't think so. I think it's that its really NOT buttercream in here. It's icing! Thin, sugar glaze danish icing! The rose(s) recently used in Rose fairy cake would do good, as well as a nice icing note and a teensy touch of flakey pastry. Just a thought. Its a thought Ive had for quite awhile. If I ever have the means, I'll do it as a PE, unless someone beats me to the punch. But I truly think that's why the 'remakes' of this have been off. Icing, not buttercream frosting. Call me crazy.
  19. Haha, I was thinking that about the label..well, I certainly think he's hot, but I'm wondering how many straight guys are hiding they're bottles of this one?! Hey, c'mon fellas, there's a butt ton of hot lady LPs, let us have somethin! ;p This is manly, but not too manly for moi. I like it very much. I must amp oakmoss cause pretty much all I'm getting is oakmoss and yummy musk. It's even more mossy than Velvet Moss (which it VAGUELY reminds me of) but that's ok cause I heart oakmoss. Sexy, clean and cozy. Mm. I wish I got some tonka but ya can't win em all.
  20. Not personally...the only time I've personally experienced anything like that is when I wear Mother's Little Helper, because it makes me a little more jazzed to get stuff done and I don't think about eating as much, but I've never worn it enough days in a row to notice any cumulative effects. I don't know about other people or other pheros, but there are a lot of experts on here. Maybe someone else will chime in. Good luck!
  21. Hi hearts. Well, I would put a little water in the tart well and float a few drops of oil on top. That way you don't scorch the oil, and it simmers longer. No need for wax. That's what I do with any oils I use for home fragrance anyway. and I'm with you. I'm ready for fall!! summers overrated..(ducks)
  22. THANK YOU! I searched for it by the words, AND tried to google it. Your a lightsaber
