  1. Wow this version reads very differently on me. There is a more distinct coconut. The green musk is very much the star of the show but it also feels different. Like a lighter green, less verdant. It’s also coming off as rather perfumey which has never happened with any other version, definitely has to be the musk and the greenery. I have not had it on that long though and I can already tell it’s going to calm down and smooth out. The coconut is coming more to the fore. This is a very wearable version and I’m sure will be quite popular but it’s not my favorite.

    Hey everyone

YAY you made it! Mandy is a really good friend of mine. She loves things that smell good so obviously she needs to have LP in her life, right? You will love it here girl. Everyone is so nice. Don’t hesitate to ask any questions or to just jump right in.
  3. I have been meaning to come back to this thread for weeks. I figured out what Prisma reminds me of. It’s Valerie’s Misty Melon Patch. The melon obviously but also a bit of a similar feel in backdrop. The creamy that’s not really recognizable as creamy.
  4. Avoid Scented Cuddle Bunny. That’s my advice if laundry scents mess you up.
  5. Permanent fragrances that are perpetually rebrewed can have variances. That’s just the nature of hand brewed artisanal fragrance made in small batches. But also remember that aging changes them a lot. So the old one you had that had had time to age and deepen won’t smell the same as a freshly brewed bottle.
  6. This is mostly tea rose on me. It has a bit of a zing which I know is coming from the lemongrass but I sadly don’t get lemongrass as a detectable note. The musk is light and clear. This is just a touch sharp on me which I think might soften as I wear it longer. I think it’s about to go soapy on me as well. It’s a very uplifting fragrance. It’s so close to being a winner for me but I think my chemistry is making it just out of range.
  7. On me this wears pretty feminine. Opens with a hit of clean fresh florals. The freshness changes to a subtle sweetness. Very clean all the way through. Softens up considerably in long dry down. It honestly reminds me of a less potent, less sharp Sneaky Clean. Truly not unisex on me. Smells like an expensive femme floral soap skin scent on me.
  8. @hedgehog how did your first test go?
  9. SK you have been here long enough and have enough posts that you should request a journal from Mara. You know you don’t get post credits for posts in the welcome section.
  10. I’m wearing this today and I quite like it. The first 45 minutes the licorice is definitely the star of the show. Thankfully the sugar does not amp on me as it can. Sugars can flat out destroy a perfume for me. This is mainly licorice and a soft creamy vanilla. After long dry down I can smell the amber grounding and deepening it. It’s my favorite type of amber, the kind that melds right into your skin. It’s not too strong here, just enough to ground and deepen. Even if licorice scares you I’d say give it a try. Mara is a genius with licorice and her creamy licorice concoctions can’t be beat. Licorice Wands and Blanc et Noir are my top two favorites but this is pretty close.
  11. Welcome to the forum!
  12. The UN thread is where you should leave UN reviews in general. This one never really took off though so most commentary is in the scented thread. There definitely is crossover at times which just happens since the phero can be had in different forms but there is no reason to double post. Just pick one of the threads and post there. Your choice 😊
  13. Feeling shakey is the first sign of overdose. You might be extra sensitive to this one. In another thread you said one made you nauseous. That’s also overdose territory for me anyway. You might have a lower threshold for (some) Pheros.
  14. Got my package today and I’m about to open it yay!
  15. I agree with Luna that this version is way more wisteria heavy than the original. I don’t know if it’s a sweeter wisteria note or if there is just more of it but it’s definitely sweeter as well. It starts going powdery pretty quickly. The Smokey incense is waaaaaay in the back. This version smells very different to me. For several minutes it smells like powdery deodorant on me but that thankfully backs off a bit. Overall it’s a nice scent, pretty and unique but I’ll continue to hoard my original bottle which is one of my all time favs.
  16. I’m being very careful with MM since Dom flips my bitch switch in a really huge major way. I want to SLATHER it everywhere, but I’m scurred. So I have just done a little drop on my hand so I can wash it off if I start feeling crazy. I’m purposely testing while I’m alone in the middle of the day. Holy shit though does it ever smell amazing. I love a good dark coffee scent but usually they have a resin or something I don’t like in them as well. Not Mistress Mine! I like all the notes! The coffee and espresso are dark and rich and true. The leather is a great compliment. Leather can overwhelm a scent pretty quickly on me often but here the other dark notes hold it in check. The honey is barely there for me just as it should be, just enough to add to the sexiness but it doesn’t overwhelm. The chocolate and amber are intermingled with the dark rich coffee so that they add to the depth and warmness of the scent but in no way do they take away anything from the coffee. The Musk is more of a feeling than something I can actively pick out, and the feeling is languid sex appeal. This does soften a bit over the dry down but it still always manages to feel dark and smoldering and rich and quintessentially sexy the whole time. If you like coffee scents even nominally then you must have Mistress Mine.
  17. Latica is a bit of a head scratcher for me. It’s full of notes that I typically don’t like yet I do like this very much. The peach and peach blossom open up very strong in a lovely springy way. Those are notes that are hit or miss for me in general but I love them in Latica. The tuberose and benzoin add a smoothness and richness that take awhile to really emerge while the brightness of the peach mellows out. Both of those can be death notes for me but they work beautifully here. And the sage adds a cleanness. It’s in the background really, just a wisp, but there. Also usually a death note for me. I know I say it a lot but this perfume is a perfect example of why getting the Samplers is a must. Things I should love, I sometimes don’t and things I am sure that I will hate and on paper should, end up being surprise loves. Such is the genius of Mara. She blends things in such a brilliant and unexpected way that you can’t ever truly predict what your loves and hates will be. Latica is a surprise hit for me.
  18. I’m definitely getting a bottle of Prisma. Trying to work my way through new releases to see if there are any other must haves.
  19. Hmm I can’t quite tell if this is love for me yet. The sugars are not quite pokey or distinctly sharp on me but they do often make potions like this just slightly into the unwearable category for me. The cocoa butter is there but not super strong. The creamy impression is definitely the most prominent. The nuttiness is there but not overwhelmingly so. It’s really lovely for you creamy loving girls but I think the combo of the musk and the sugar blends is hitting me just a little too much in the third eye. This is MY particular thing with sugars and a certain type of Musk though. 99% of you guys will LOVE it. I’ll stick with my Dari Gold for my creamy fix. Also I think I’ll come back to this in a few days to see if it settles a bit more.
  20. OMG this is good. Amazing actually. I have not tried all the new releases on yet ( actually only 2) but this is likely my favorite out of all 30. And I like quite a few! It is like a rainbow with the clear sparkling fruits but the trick of making it also creamy at the same time is pure Mara Fox magic! I specifically have never liked any perfume with orchid in it, ever. But there are always exceptions and after nearly 10 years of LPs this is it! I don’t even know how to truly describe this other than bright but creamy dreamy fruity and just a little floral. It’s fun, and happy and delicious. The lime blossom blast when wet is my favorite but even after that dies down Prisma holds my interest all the way through long dry down. It’s gorgeous!
  21. This was the first new release I tried. It does indeed smell heavenly. The rosewater is sheer. Definitely soft pink roses rosewater. Combined with the peppermint it’s fresh and lush at the same time. Sadly as with almost all my favorite notes peppermint is a fleeting top note and it disappears after about 15 minutes which is longer than mints usually last on me. The rosewater that’s left behind is lovely but ever softening until after about 30 more minutes the whole thing *poof* disappears. I love it the whole time but ultimately it doesn’t last long enough for me to invest in a full bottle. I’m definitely going to check out body care in this scent combo though.
  22. You guys I just got my box of New Releases and ZOMG they are amazing. I’m so glad that I got them all because there are several of the Unisex that I think I love and some of the Vault Collection smell better than the original or the last incarnation of them did. Seriously get as many as you can. You won’t be disappointed. Mara you have outdone yourself!!!!

    Boo Berry

It’s the allspice. They can read pretty similar as they are often used together in cooking and which is how most of us are introduced to them as flavors/smells.
  24. Comforting to me are B2.2, Balm Bomb, and Teddy. MLH could also be in that category because it does have androstadienone (A1) which is the molecule that feels comforting to us women.
