  1. I found my "bat belt".... a small "mini valet" satchel from Target. It is a small satchel with a zippered central pocket (detachable) with interior zippered side pockets, all which folds up into itself, forming a small rectangular handled packet. I slip my LPs inside (aphros in one side pocket, other blends in the other side pocket, and those extra "dangerous" pheromone blends in the central pocket) then I slip it into my makeup bag and I'm ready to be scented for any occasion!
  2. The fairest, loftiest, most gentle scents of Baby White Tea Leaf, Japanese Cherry Blossom, Wild Pansies and White Ginger; ingredients fabled to attract a mate, inspire lust, and induce passion. This was a delightful surprise! I was a bit hesitant regarding this scent, because my skin seems to "powder" the lighter scents into complete oblivion, so I was delightfully surprised to find that not only did this one present itself upon my skin but it does so in a wonderfully sweet manner. Front and center upon application is a lovely cherry blossom scent with just a touch of sweetness. As it dries down, the tea and ginger gently appear. There is definitely a "powdery" note... as My Beloved says "A lot of baby powder....just the slightest touch of floral...very nice, very clean"... but the scents stays on my skin and doesn't waft away as most scents of this type do. I think this will be a nice alternative scent; a light, innocent (yet very sexy and appealing) scent to counter my normal deep, resinous scents. I would be interested in knowing what this scent does on other's skin.
  3. I love this one as well; it is a beautiful blend of chocolate and rose! My Beloved, as you know, isn't too much of a fan of the foody scents... but I really like this one. In fact, I wore it to the Bar Mitzvah party as there were a number of the ex-family members there; I figured a bit of dominance would be a good thing! And, I think it helped do the trick... just the right balance of alpha-pheromones to keep them off-balance in terms of their intimidation attempts That was fun
  4. Same with me... the florals aren't overly present, just wonderfully and pleasantly in the background and the musk layers beautifully on my skin. My Beloved says this may well be his new favorite and he found it to be incredibly sexy.... so it is definitely a must-procure in the big bottle size for me! Mara, I seem to be having a tad bit of trouble with my paypal; are there alternative forms of providing payment (i.e., emailing payment info)? I really don't want to miss out on my desired scents in full-bottle size while I go about getting the paypal issue fixed.
  5. Now, I don't have any Autumnal Equinox to which to compare the two... I definitely smell the "butter and lightly sweetened fruit" that Dolly mentions, all in a cake batter base. This is a very nice and cozy scent!
  6. Oh, I'm going to have to try it out on the kids! I have a sample... and they can sniff me tomorrow
  7. Hee, I'm a once a day kind of girl... and My Beloved is usually more than happy to oblige... but, there was that week without which almost drove me insane. I was kind, though... I didn't get the pheromones out the *first* night he was "back in action".
  8. Yes, but my son would preferr I wear a dress and not just a scent He is a funny guy; very, very respectful regarding women. I've raised him so well. Yes, that is a proud mama kvelling (his REAL Bar Mitzvah was this morning, when he donned tefillen and did the blessing and torah reading in our morning minyan... the SHOW Bar Mitzvah is this Saturday, in which he leads services in front of friends and family)
  9. I would have liked to have had Hoodoo when I was involved with the double-timing scumbag doctor who kept taking me out to dinner with "friends" who were actually members of a partner-swapping group. It could have made for some very interesting revelations! Oh, and Dolly, despite David's recent illness, I just couldn't resist some pheromone use last night.... hey, I figure he could use some sexual healing! I wasn't just being selfish
  10. And, the raving from both of you convinced me I needed these scents as well... so my credit card is screaming too! (hmm, my cc is making an infernal racket since I have a Bar Mitzvah digging into my wallet... but I did buy the most beautiful, but simple and appropriate, green satin dress for Saturday... and only $23.99...tough choice, the dress or a bottle of LP )
  11. As many of you know, my youngest son actually has Asperger's (he is extremely intelligent but had severe deficits socially and emotionally when he was younger) yet because of intensive training in social skills (the older kids were very instrumental in helping with him) he is virtually unrecognizable as a child with any disability (much less one such as Asperger's.... which is generally very easily recognized). I work with many students on explicitly acquiring these types of social skills, and there will probably be social groups or other types of groups focusing on the acquisition of social skills in your area, SugaredL. You might want to look into them. They are fun groups in which the kids (teens, young adults) get together and dramatize social interactions to acquire and practice the skills.

    New Year's Evil

Dolly, If you would like, I'll send you mine. It didn't quite work with my skin. I think I still have your addie; if not, I'll post for you to email it to me again.
  13. Chloe asked me to post a review of this scent, which she "swiped" (with permission, of course:) from me while visiting this past week. So, in her words (dictated while she was between classes and work, sniffing her wrist : "This is a super-good scent which has me smelling my wrist in an addictive manner! I can't get enough of it. It smells like a lovely garden; when I sniff it, it smells like earth and florals with just the slightest touch of sweetness. Interestingly, it smells different on each wrist, with my left wrist having more of an earthy scent and the right having more of a floral and vines smell. It is a very delicate yet very powerful scent and one which blends well with my self-scent, complimenting it." Hee hee, I've brought my daughter over to the LP-side! And, that would probably be a better thing if she were responsible for her own purchases. Dang, I really should think these things through better....
  14. I can't wait either! You already know how I am about Valentine's Day... already have all the magnetics with which to adorn My Beloved's car... and the chocolate... and the new Valentine's Day cloth napkins. So, I am eagerly awaiting the new releases with everyone else. In fact, I checked in from the classroom to see if they were up yet

    Mummy Stuffing

I do put on moisturizer, usually every morning, as part of my "getting dressed" routine and, doing so does indeed help some scents to last better. And, yes, Katz... my heart, too, did skip a beat at the thought of Dark Seductions or LP:Black lotion. Yumm! (BTW, Dark Seductions was featured in my "date" with My Beloved tonight. He loves the scent!) Now, this might be TMI, but, my skin also seems to "absorb" wild yeast (you know, the yeast that is always present in the air). Periodically, in fact, I have to take a prescribed antifungal to rid my skin of the yeast. I absolutely hate taking it because it tears up my stomach but, every so often, it is necessary. My oldest daughter and her baby seem to have inherited that particular problem. Interesting thought... I haven't "tested", but I'm wondering how the concentration of yeast in my skin might affect the use of scents.
  16. Oh, Dolly, it is fab! And, since we have both liked some similar scents, I think you might like this one as well

    Mummy Stuffing

Yes. It was the same with the Athena we swapped, Dolly, but more so with actually. I will either get nothing but an unscented baby powder scent, as happend with Mummy Stuffing... or, as with Athena, nothing but the briefest, breathiest, wispy poof of powder... before the scent is gone. Like nothing there. And, it isn't just my nose. When Chloe and I sat down to play this past week, she would apply Athena to herself (she loved it!) then to me and hold our wrists side by side, saying "Wow, where'd it go?" when she sniffed me. I know my skin "eats" scent... my husband comments on that... in fact, he remarked upon it after we "gasp" got matching tattoos this past week (english and hebrew: I am my beloved and my beloved is mine, written in an interlocking ring like an infinity symbol... mine is on my left hip.... he made the design and we were actually thinking of sending the image in for the Valentine's image contest...but, as I often do, I digress). As he was applying the after-care ointment, he commented on how my skin was soaking in the ointment so quickly, just like it does the perfumes. And, I don't have dry skin (not oily, either... just right, I always thought). I also don't scar much at all, if those two things are related... So, yes, a powdery scent can be desirable. But, scents are sometimes just gone "Poof"... and this is in no way a condemnation or critique specific to your scents. They are lovely! With a few, however, they, as also happens with other perfumer's scents, just wisp away.

    Mummy Stuffing

This is very interesting to me. I had sampled Mummy's Stuffing and was extremely intriqued by it's description; I was absolutely prepared to love it... and, I did... in the vial. But, on my skin... nothing but powder. Sabra, however, is lovely both in the bottle and on my skin. I'm wondering what it is in certain perfumes that makes them turn to powder on me. Dolly and I spent a few messages hypothesizing about the effects of diabetic skin chemistry... any thoughts, anyone?
  19. I, too, received this as a freebie sample in my recent order. And, it is quite the upscale suntan oil, with lovely cocoa butter and coconut oil. This is one to slather on and then enjoy basking in the scent-memories of a lovely beach vacation. I love the fruity notes of papaya and pineapple! Yum!
  20. I really appreciate your response. I have been mulling this over for a bit. And, perhaps I should clarify. Regarding your scents, I was referring to our discussion about layering Justice and Communication (in our discussion about mediation blends). So, reading your response above... I should either apply them in separate places...or allow for a dry-down between layering... in order to maintain the balance? By the way, Chloe and I agree... every scent we have tried from LP has impressed us as wonderful/gorgeous/lovely; they do not disappoint and are all wonderfully blended. I do appreciate very greatly the artful science you have mastered in creating them and wish to respect it as fully as possible. It is very important to me that I clarify that particular issue. I was primarily thinking about scents I have purchased from another etailer. Before finding LP, I had discovered another online perfumerie and I found myself enticed by their descriptions. I ordered several of their scents, which are supposed to be blended along ancient recipes. And, as for their "purpose", they do seem to work but, unlike your blends, I don't appreciate the smells. So, I want the effect but not the scent (I mean, I spent the money on the bottles and I certainly like the effects... so I would like to be able to use them). Funny, but the smells are almost counterproductive for My Beloved; it's interesting... they seem to be effective... and yet he will later make comments ranging from "What are you wearing that smells like cake?" (he really dislikes foody scents) or "That's too spicy." and even "That smells like burning a**!" which I find to be a really strange comment because burning flesh is a horrid smell. He has also said "Ugh, burning feet and chocolate mix." I quess I'm not the only one with a strange nose... Anyway, I would like to use the scents (again, it was money invested) but also have something which both My Beloved and I regard as an attractive scent. And, yes, Dolly... I was actually thinking about how you and others discuss the pheromone scents and "covering" them when I have been pondering what to do with these bottles I have on hand. I really have been thinking about using the sugared honeycomb you have raved about (btw, just got a sample in my most recent order which I was able to pick up today... it is every bit as good as you have described!)
  21. See, now, the wearing with intent and the magical properties is exactly what I was talking about when I said I needed a "bat belt" like Batman (I think that was when we were discussing the conflict resolution scents)... I finding myself thinking, "Oh, if only I had (blank) with me today, that might have helped." As a result, I want to have ALL the scents close at hand, ready to use when I need them, the perfect scent to assist me with whatever comes up... Communication, Persuasion, Pied Piper, Musky Dusky Greenery, et al so I can be the ultimate teacher... Dark Seductions, Love Potion Black, et al to set the perfect seductive atmosphere... Communication and Justice so I can mediate the disputes at home, school, and when I volunteer-mediate (too busy to make it a profession but I truly love doing it)... Chakra Balancing to keep it ALL together... and now I want Ashes to Dust between my shoulder blades (LOL).... I just need a "bat belt" with every scent at hand... I have been wondering... do the scents have to be perceptible to be effective? By that I mean, is it the "perceiving" (and, I don't mean necessarily a conscious perception... the Greenery is working great in the classroom and the students are not necessarily actively perceiving it) of the scents that leads to certain effects or is it simply enough that they are there, doing their neurological magic (binding to neurons even if we "cover" by layering scents), or however it is the effects come into play; or, if we use one scent and then layer with another, are we, in comingling the scents, likewise comingling the effects? And, if it is comingling, is there a synergistic effect... or, like a chemical change, are we creating an entirely different effect? Okay, Potion Master and Sinister Girl, educate me!
  22. May, You are a teacher? Oh, how fun... Me, too! What subject and what grade/age? I teach sixth and seventh grade special education, math resource. I LOVE TEACHING!
  23. Thank you! I will be looking for it on her site Doing the Scandalous Happy Dance
  24. Danna, These are gorgeous! My favorite (and My Beloved's favorite as well) of the three is Seduction... I love the fruity wetness and the woody drydown with just the perfect amount of woody spiciness. Beautiful Thank you so very much for sharing this scent... and this poem.... with us.
  25. I'm wondering... will more of Scandalous be available through Cindy/MO? I have one bottle and wanted to order a second for when this one is empty (a state which will inevitably occur... as I love this scent quite a lot!). Are the MO exclusives also limited editions?
