Slathered well with this Sunday afternoon and the tea note was very prominent to me this time (thank you Luna) now that I know what it is, it's like a no brainer. I get something wonderfully similar from the Candytuft Tea. I love the tea note and I think it mingles with the tobacco gloriously! I think the tobacco and tea amp on me a bit at first (about 45 minutes to an hour) and maybe it's the teak in there too? What is the note that is registering to me as "perfume like"? Is that the vetiver? And there's a creamy feel and it's only slightly sweet to me - the Tonka & honey? It never gets foodie in any way and even though I would say it's slightly - ever so - masculine - this is 100% woman. It would be right on my man I don't think, lol. This is something that should pair well with SS4W or BANG! or Leather ^_~ I actually wore it with SS4W Sunday and when we were out to eat our waitress was quite lackluster when we first arrived (probably a long, busy day), she even appeared agitated but I think was trying to hide it - pure speculation of course - but she warmed right up after a few trips to the table....fair bit of eye contact and definitely improved mood. She was even joking around with us by the time we were finished and ready to go

Oooo, Halloween scents? I hadn't thought of Halloween as a "scent". I was thinking fall scents or holiday scents (which Halloween is too). This is my first full year at LP and I still don't know what to expect each month...apparently I should plan for a post summer sale next year, lol. And you all keep saying Nov is a regular goodies month too. At the moment I'm so befuddled about the multitude of things I could/can/do fall in love with that I don't have a favorite something to ask for because I just don't know what I think that might be anymore! Just when I think I have something pinned down I try some NEW delectable from Mara and everything thing I thought...well...isn't! I only come stalking here to see what you other ladies may think is afoot

After realizing my HUGE love for EGG 2011, I ordered a bottle of Marsha Mellow unsniffed...then wound up getting a couple back ups to boot...Yeah/ All I can say is...WOW.

OH YES! I am liking this with the BLAM! Spicy Brown Sugar! Wearing it to work...should be interesting...if not entertaining....Muhahaaaaa...

Yep. I'm putting this on my wish list! Thank you Luna...I'll go over the Sexology thread once more to squash any waffling....should it occur.... Ug. I put on NSD and I grabbed my LAM/BAM sandalwood and resin instead of spicy brown sugar...I don't know WHY I was thinking I wanted the blue labels...Maybe if I didn't have so many BLAMS! It wasn't awful at all, just not what I was going for...so you know what THAT means? I'll have to try it...TOMORROW

Thanks Stacy Could be. I grew up around smokers. My mom was at a point once where she smoked 2 &1/2 packs a day...it does keep you from wanting to have anything to do with them. Can't go anywhere w/o a "light", always gotta have $$ to pick up more in an emergency - I'm too cheap for them myself...would much rather spend on LP...that and we have COLD winters and I HATE being cold and would never go off the property to smoke on break in the winter Those are the shallow reasons I have for not smoking, lol, I hear that it's unhealthy too.... It's funny how sensitive I am to smelling cigs on others clothes or breath...or in my hair and clothes after a night out at the club. It really clings! But I didn't register that from Kat - but certainly someone else could. Thanks for the feedback in the other thread and for your posts in this one. Can't win 'em all I guess

THIS was the very first LP that my husband said he liked without any inquiry from me So I immediately ordered a back up - because let's face it - things like that just don't happen very often. He still refers to it as his favorite LP of mine to date!

Can I take just a moment to be juvenile and LMAO at this statement? It reminded me of when I had said I was thinking of ordering a 3rd bottle of Balls - but that I'd had 2 Balls already BWAHAHAAAA! I have started on the 1st page and read through everyone's posts... Luna! Excellent snippet for Miss Kat! LOVED - I MUST watch for these where they pop up! I was searching for what people DIDN'T like about this scent and Miss StacyK's was interesting and shed some light in that dark....very dark, lol, corner. I'm on a quest to find out why a couple people I know had such a negative response to this. Both of them are also ex smokers so I wonder if that has anything to do with it? Some of you have already suggested that it might be some other note besides the chocolate that they were really not liking - hehe - I know Luna - I'm still bias about not believing it really could be the chocolate but it really could be too I guess....darn shame if so.... If there is any left when I make my Oct order...I'm getting a back up...I love this stuff!

OhmygooshIfeelawful! I let this one fall off my radar completely! I've had it for months! If I recall correctly, it was suggested that I try it because I liked Lusty Licious so much (I had gone ga-ga over the blackberry - now one of my MOST favorite notes EVER!) I got it in my very next order and never - I really can't believe it - made a review....that's just plain WRONG. Bad me, Bad! When I first put it on it was very sandalwood forward on a bed of blackberry. There's something that seems like spice to my nose, like holiday spices, but there are none listed in the notes It DOES smell more perfume like than foodie to me - maybe it's the amber and musk? The blackberry gives it this hint of something sweet but it isn't what I would call a berry scent at all. Once the sandalwood settles down on me - about 15-20 minutes? - it gets all creamy and everything seems to smooth out and become this beautiful almost floral scent on me. Very strange and unique indeed! I'm not able to pick out the brown sugar but maybe that's because I'm associating it with the blackberry? This is the one that I believe set off my radar for sandalwood scents. I had noticed that I had quite a few with sandalwood that I liked. And when I first tried this, the sandalwood was very forward - and I liked it quite a bit! I got the LAM!/BAM! in sandalwood and resins in one of my last orders so I guess it would be fair to say I'm now a fan. I think I believed woodsy scents would be too manly but apparently not so much. That Kind of Girl is DEFINITELY not manly in any way shape or form!

I got this in last year's sale and still have more than half my bottle - by default because since finding LP my collection has become ridiculous and rotating is hopeless because I always decide what I'm going to wear based on my mood at the time, lol. This, to me, is a sweeter, shmexy, lily free and (probably to most others here EXCEPT me) more - world in general - friendly Jouir De I love the sweetness & the musk. I've seen comparison's to Sexology's scent. Is that the Sexology III that's available now or a previous version? I like the brown sugar note and will have to run this with BLAM! Spicy Brown Sugar while out with hubby tomorrow

I would 2nd both Cocoa Lily and Anthea - I have both too and they're lovely! If your going to have a perfume addict...er...hobby - this is a great place to lose yourself

HOLYWOW! The note in this that I was concerned about (patchouli) is the note that made this completely ROCK! This is a massive win for ordering a bottle unsniffed It smells incredible. It's creamy and sweet and the patch gives it depth with out being incense like or resiny. I think the spice (nutmeg?) gives it a warmth but this is - on me at least - a warm creamy, sweet vanilla plus something-something. Whatever it is that patch does only makes it all the better! Oh. And I'm a BIG fan of Sexpionage, so this is REDICULOOUSLY good! Edited to add - Tthis was still deliciously on my skin in the morning when I woke up and I am SO in love with this...just saw it's permanent too so YAY!

DD - THAT IS FANTASIC! Well of course to all of you it's amazing and wonderful and only to be expected My novice nose and mind said - WHAAAA? But I am only TOO happy to ride this learning curve!

Covered with Katerina Suit - OHMYGOODNESSIAMSOINLOVEWITHTHISSCENTITIS​N'TEVENFUNNY! It doesn't make sense on paper to me: DARK CHOCOLATE, TOBACCO, OUD, LEATHER. But on? It IS absolutely fantastic...makes my foot pound compulsively... OK. SO. I tried the sample and HAD to get a FB. This is still such an unexpected FAVOROTE. It goes on all dark chocolate and richness and then as it settles on my skin I get the leather & tobacco and what must be the oud...and I LOVE it - LOVE!

This is a HUGE win! I forgot there was a chocolate note and on me it smells like pudding chocolate! Well, TO me at least. Hubby said it smells like fake chocolate to him...does that mean it smells like chocolate but fake because it isn't real or that it smells like tootsie roll - or like I think - chocolate pudding? Hmm, I'll have to see what else I can get out of him later because that phase is more subtle now. I am head over heels for this - I totally get the tobacco and smoke. This combo = divine, to me. Now it's this semi-sweet, creamy, tobacco leaf with smoke, not burnt tobacco at all....Gosh! How to describe? I've been huffing myself since application It keeps wafting up from my blouse and it makes me ridiculously happy. Ok. I get that we women have accessorized with fragrance since discovering creams and candies as children, lol, but I had no idea that "as a grown up", fragrance would still illicit such a child-like joy from me. Yes - I get that we could be "happy" with a fragrance but nothing commercial I ever tried evoked a sense of JOY. Am I the only sap on this site who gets emotional over Mara's creations? I don't think I'd believe if you told me I was...I'd just think that if one hasn't gotten you yet...then it's only because you haven't yet found it! Back to "the Bun" lol, this one IS delicious and yummy AND SHMEXY. LUUUUURV! It starts out sweet and then settles down to this sexy, gorgeous smoky, warm, sweet tobacco fantasy. YUM!

Slathered this today just for myself because it's so scrumptious! I got a "Ooooo, is that you that smells like potpourri?" from one woman. I would LOVE for my house to smell of potpourri if it smelled like Nox!

I'm the slather equivalent of a fogger with a spray, lol, you don't want to do what I do I do get maximum hits that are off the chart fun though.... Should totally ghost probably Hahaha! 2x 5 inch stripes, forearms, wrists & collarbone...sometimes on top of that I'll lollipop my belly button and put a 3 inch stripe on each side of my neck...like I said...

Yes! Me too! I had no idea what to expect from benzoin, and may not have looked it up if it weren't for the sale As soon as I read "vanilla" and "smoke" I was sold to try it. It's crazy how I don't even seem to want to bother with samples lately - just go FB, hehehe...I've been really fortunate so far and am VERY happy! This one is HUGELY delicious!

Yeah, hehehe, MissH, lol, I decided - what the heck! I was going to get the sample when you reminded me and then thought...if all else fails there's always the trade thread but I'm such a junkie now that even if something may not be a favorite - as they're all good - that it can be layered to greatness! THIS one does not have that problem AT ALL. It's a gorgeous stand alone. I couldn't pass on the FB in the sale and now I'm glad that I didn't - can't wait to read your thoughts when you get your mitts on it
