  1. OK Mara, am releasing my hold on Aphrodite. Leather is a distaster on me. May I please reserve a Six of Cups instead please?
  2. I have played with this elegant smelling Vanilla and blended it with coconut, loved that, then went further and added some Sugared Birthday Cake to it. *Very* nice! It came across sort of like a sheer ,perfumey Vanilla Coconut Cake. Wendylynne, the Dreamcicle idea is awesome! I think it would stand in well for any light vanilla where you might want something just a bit more sophisticated. A good one for those who are not fans of overtly foody scents.
  3. Wet, I get a decided and lovely fresh melon, apricot and vanilla mix. Sort of cool and "wet" smelling! This does not stay on me though. Within perhaps 20 minutes, the fruits took a back seat.. waaay in back to a blend of honey and amber entwined around a very pretty magnolia. The coconut never came through on my skin at all , nor did the patchoulli... at first. After perhaps an hour, my skin did something very strange and unexpected to the whole thing and left me with blend of amber , which I now apparently amp these days and magnolia. To my nose, there was something sort of spiky and green, which is not one of its ingredients, but it did the same weird thing on my skin that vetiver does. It was lovely while it lasted, but after about an hour of my skin doing its weird tricks on this blend, it actually morphed into something that smelled like a man's scent. that is not a bad thing per se, but certainly not what I expected and it totally came out of left field. So... not sure people can go by me, but that was my Tropique experience. Not at all what others here have experienced, but that's my PH!
  4. Thank YOU, Mara! With everything you do, you must have had to hustle like crazy!
  5. Ohhh... ok. Well, I *have* had good luck with Dom and the honey scents if those work for you. OCCO Gold works well with Dom if you can do honey. But hey, if you love the whiter scents, then why not try OCCO White? OR.. Beth's Blushing Milkmaid?
  6. I was a very late bloomer. Had what I called "boobettes" ( looking back, they were fine, a B cup) until I blossomed in my mid 20s, then during my 40s, well.. let's just say it costs me about 5 to 10 dollars MORE for a bra. Have learned to accept myself at all ages. I now define true beauty as being "healthy and alive." We are way too harsh on ourselves. But I'll tell you this, I could NEVER wear those shoulder pads! I am only about 5 feet 2" with the tiniest shoulders. They looked absurd on me. Never had the big 80s hair either, but did have a curly perm.
  7. YES!!!! THAT!!! And this is why I adore it. Oh my.. I fear there may be a 3 X Stone Cougar in my future when I have gone through this bottle. But how can you go wrong when everyone wins?
  8. It's totally a "MILFY" vibe StacyK! I's go so sar as to say MILFY + since its effects seem to extend well beyond the sexual effects.
  9. I will keep the Magnolia in mind StacyK! Orchids can be hit or miss for me. Also curious about the plumberia! Wow NuTrix! 3X! I don't blame you. I love the effects of this one. I think I am like halo in that I really do need to dose heavily with pheros. I would go 3X on Stone Cougar in a heartbeat though.
  10. StacyK is giving you good advice here WnG. If you are in the mood for REALLY dark, try OCCO Black with Dom. Awesome!
  11. Yes! I got 2X. Totally worth it! I only got the Gardenia in Fairy Cakes. It did not work well with my skin. It came off smelling oddly like root beer??? Elizabeth OSP got the same thing from it, but thanks for reminding me since I need to revisit this one and see if that passed as it did for her. I do love Gardenia and like you, Magnolia!
  12. So similar to the effects that I got Stacyk! Gotta love this stuff!
  13. I did it with at least one! ,Once notes are posted, I might end up doing even more damage!!!!
  14. Except for when Hephaestus set up her and I think it was Adonis, to be hooking up. He waited until they were in bed and dropped a net over them to expose them to everyone to mock them, but it backfired on him and men were heard t o have told him, "Only a fool would turn Aphrodite from his bed!" Hephaestis was a tragic figure, but his pairing with Aphrodite was an epic mistake. I highly recommend the book, "Goddesses In Every Woman," by Jean Shinoda-Bolen. Also the counterpart, "God's In Every Man." Excellent guides to archetypes and how we manifest their essences, qualities and problems. ETA fixes to autocorrect' s typos!
  15. I know her mythology well. Love Aphrodite! Her girdle was made of gold. Mara, may I please reserve a bottle? Even without notes, can't risk missing this one. Worth it for Her energy and essence alone.
  16. On no Blackcat! So sorry about your poor broken foot! Healing thoughts sent. I have a feeling that the energy in Six of Cups will easily surpass your hopes.
  17. GORGEOUS labels!!! I might need Aphrodite' s Belt and Mama Lion. I confess Mama Lion is my favorite label. Hope we can get the notes on these before they sell out! Blackcat, Six of Cups sounds so gently loving, I can feel the heart healing energy in it. Love the labels for LadyV' s White and Black Cobras, which are being claimed fast as lightning. All beautiful really.
  18. Donsie, for some reason, I find that this one can get away with being fruity and appeal to even those who are not huge fans of fruity blends. My partner is not a huge fan of fruity perfumes, but he very much likes OCCO Ambrosia.
  19. Devilish Thoughts smelled perfect in the vial to me. It wasn't until it was on my skin that I became conflicted. The dominant notes on me were Blackberry, Currants, and Musk. I got nothing of the Patchouli at all. The problem with this one for me was definitely the Benzoin which has long been strongly iffy for me. It's the rare perfume that includes it that I can pull off. I so wanted this to be one because of how well the other notes played on my skin. The Benzoin would seemingly waft in and out on me and when it was not making itself known, I simply loved this! Sadly, Benzoin was a bit too insistent for Devilish Thoughts to work on me and won out. I will try playing with some Sugareds to see if I can somehow tame it. If I have success with this, I will post back. If you like, and can pull off Benzoin, then I would really recommend this one. And the label is just awesome!
  20. I got a sample of this and loved it so much that I did order a FB. Wet, upon application, I got all cherry and lemony goodness. Honestly, the lemon in the description was what made me wait as long as I did. I was afraid it would be too tart. Not so! Once it began to dry down, I picked up the light, clean muskiness in this which blended beautifully with the lovely sugar which gradually immerged. Had I chosen this one for the chocolate, my skin would have disappointed me since on me, it never really came through. What I was left with was a pretty cherry blend, and it's a cherry that LASTS on me, with sweet, sugary, citrusy notes anchored by a nice musk base which I think acts as a fixative on my skin and gives it surprising lasting power. I love Tingle Tangle and I only regret not having given it a chance sooner. Beautiful blending!
  21. Phergineer, I totally get that. Maybe you should consider getting a trial vial. You might find that like me, it is mood related. It's odd because I LOVE Jasmine tea! But the scent of the tea is not as concentrated as perfume oils.
  22. I agree completely Elizabeth OSP. This month's collection looks awesome and luna' s poetry made me tear up too. You are too humble, luna! And I remember all too well, the nectar of luscious honeysuckle blooms. There are so many nostalgic emotional triggers in these descriptions for me. Sad, but sweet too, and very beautiful.
  23. NuTrix, since it seems to compare to Jasmine in scent, my impression is that it is like indoles? I could be wrong. It is usually the indolic scent that puts many people off with jasmine. My response to Jasmine seems to be mood related. I sometimes love it, other times, not so much. I did request a trial vial of this one out of curiosity.
