  1. Thanks StacyK! I have LFM, TH, and EST. I just want a hair dresser to give me what I want as opposed to what they are so sure is best. I wanted my graying hair which is naturally red colored a darker medium brown with a demi permanent dye. That is what I use at home and it works great. For some reason, permanent dye doesn't seem to stay on my hair nearly as well as the demi. I told them this and they just weren't hearing me. I know this is weird, but it just is. The woman and the manager insisted that the demi would never cover my gray and I would be wasting my money. I let them convince me against my better judgement. It looked great when s h e finished! I thought a bit dark, but knew it would fade a bit. Only 3 or 4 washing l after with a very good shampoo and it is nearing the color I went in with except for the gray being better covered! I paid big bucks for this and tipped her generously. I would have just done it myself at home, but with my torn rotator cuff and pinched nerve, there is no way I can keep my arms up long enough to color it and cover it all well. I usually do my coloring and bangs myself. I only allow someone else to trim it and if I could do that myself I would. They never listen.
  2. V V, that is awesome!!! I am smiling as I read this! I love it! I love Dom too. Sometimes I add a bit of EST which I suppose more or less, equals Leather. Dom did not work with the hair dresser I went to though. Hair dressers and I always seem to have a problem when combined though.
  3. Agreed hearts and StacyK on all points. The key for me is to WRITE THEM DOWN. In the past I have been positive that I would remember and of course I forgot what worked best with which pheros and had to start all over again. And true regarding the scary, creepy people who have a blurry sense of boundaries or worse yet, none at all!
  4. Mara, this may have been addressed in another thread, if so, please forgive me. After all this time, I am FINALLY ready to do my own PE! I know you are quite busy with the new store and so much more, I'm sure. When would be a good time to expect being able to have you do one? I know exactly what I would like to have as ingredients. Please let me know. I don't want to be a bother. ETA. OMG! I need to go to bed! Just noticed this is from JANUARY!!! Sorry! I still want one though!
  5. I do love this one very much. I often use it as a base on my skin prior to applying other perfumes. So much so that I hardly even think about it. I love it on its own as well! VERY sexy in a raw, down and dirty sense.
  6. It's so beautiful. And I have never smelled such a brilliantly balanced patchouli as is in this. Until LP O, I didn't know that patchouli COULD behave! And blending it with vanilla and apricot... perfect. This is just warmth and beauty and love personified.
  7. I am going to have to echo the sentiments expressed here and say Honeyed LP LOVE IT!!!!
  8. Ohhhh, you have given me hope Elizabeth OSP! Also reassuring to know that my skin isn't alone in it's peculiar abilities.
  9. Thanks Luna. Was not sure. I know that they do smell quite close. Still mystified and unamused by my skin's weird tricks.
  10. I too love Gardenia. One of the few florals I can wear well, but it takes a special one to work with my weird PH. So I tried a small bottle of this one to see what would happen. Leave it to me. This went very strange for me. NOT bad, but strange. I sniffed it in the bottle and smelled the sugar and vanilla and a subtle Gardenia scent. I put a generous amount on each wrist, waited about 5 minutes, and sniffed. ( that was SUCH a long 5 minutes!) Well.. according to my nose and my partner's as well, my skin manages to morph this into of all things, either Root Beer or Sasparilla! ( are they actually the same thing btw?) How did I manage this? Pffffft!!! As if I know! Well I do have some straight Gardenia oil which is a bit too floral for me, so I am going to try layering some on with this and see what happens.
  11. Hello wonderful Mara! I very gratefully got my order. Thank you so much! And my nose is a bit burnt out from overdoing it with the generous sniffies you included. Need to back off sniffing for a while! Much gratitude to you!
  12. Welcome Sylvan! Since my partner isn't one for wearing fragrances, I have limited input to lend, but many of the ladies here may be able to help and QG is a wealth of info on the male scents and pheros. Happy experimenting!
  13. My partner uses SWS at work and it helps a lot. The people he works with are pretty negative and ignorant, so anything that helps in any way is very special indeed. When he wears it, they actually let him speak and they do listen. Now getting them to HEAR and remember is another matter, but still, SWS has left us quite impressed!
  14. Great story JOC. Also nice to see you posting again.
  15. Am so psyched! Got my notification in my email today. Yay! I needed that perk! Thanks Mara and John!
  16. I was all out of EST , wow I miss that stuff! I ordered that and a small bottle of Fairy Cake Gardenia. Sounds beautiful!
  17. I agree with The Birkeys. I LOVE this one. It actually reminds me a LOT of OCCO Ambrosia on my skin upon dry down. A lovely cherry either on its own or layered.
  18. A fond welcome to you Baroness!
  19. Lainey, you could always request a PE and work with Mara to get as close as possible to this one? Just another option. And I think I saw that someone in the Trading Post has a bottle for sale, but can't recall who.
  20. So beautiful!!! Lovely Beltaine releases! How perfect are these? Fairies for the month of May and such gorgeous scents to pick from! OMG.. don't know what to do!!!
  21. I use EST and love the effects. have not tried Lace, but sounds beautiful! As for white scents, I have only recently begun to venture into their realms. I find that layering some coconut with some of the white florals works wonders for me.
