  1. Mmm yes a medicinal, calming, nurturing r&r day in bed scent.
  2. Oh man sounds good, you're bringing me back to the days when I was little and would make cinnamon toast and slather with butter cinnamon and sugar, I know that's not exactly what ya'll are describing but these reviews make me feel like a kid again.
  3. First impression is woah Nelly! An overpowering orchid I'd liken to a commercial caliber intensity, since I wouldn't want that I agree this needs time to settle. After a 20 min drydown the magick begins, the orchid does a disappearing act then poof! The tea appears out of nowhere, after awhile the orchid reemerges and both play of each other in teeter totter fashion. One moment the orchid dominates next moment it's teas turn, back and forth they go. In the end the orchid is too rich for me, I would enjoy this dispersed as a room spray but not somethig I could handle close to the body. In fact the scent reminds me of a shi-shi Manhattan store called Shanghai Tang which was sprayed with their signature Ginger Flower room fragrance, not the same scent but similar concept.
  4. So lovely from begining to end from the bottle, on skin, through the drydown and lingering scent never stops being beautiful, romantic and classy.. and does't fade! has a lovely lingering staying power. I would put this on your must sample list. The frankincense gives the prominent wisteria depth and the vanilla smooths and sweetens it out all while maintaining a very floral fragrant. The Heart & Soul must be working me over cause it takes hold of me, not something I'd wear regularly but definately would want on hand for a special occasion. At the very least would want another sample to explore with, this would also make a great gift since I could see more people liking this than not.
  5. This is a very well blended, distinctive honeysuckle scent that I could see having a fan club like Raspberry Rose Confite did for rose lovers. Even though honeysuckle or rose don't do it for me as much as say a Gardenia would doesn't mean I wouldn't highly recommend (or wear) it. It's a candied honeysuckle that's juicy enough to keep from getting syrupy and has staying power! Also a fun vibe like I wanna get outside and play, great for spring. Again very well blended with a scent that holds, highly recommend to those drawn to the notes in this lp.

    Esther

The first impression of Esther bursts with gorgeousness a very womanly scent. The drydown happens in 5 min, a closer to the skin but still a noticeably beautiful fragrance. I'm not even gonna attempt to break this down it's a you gotta smell it to believe it scent. Better yet read Luna's post, leave it to Luna to have a play by play apt description and puzzle piece together the most ambiguous lp of the month.
  7. I get a subtle mix of pink sugar and a hint of brown sugar with light floral. Not a perfect fit, might be a little tame for me and/or not vibing w the Sweet Pea note, it's nothing that possibly the right boost couldn't remedy. I also agree with the "soft cake" description, Mara nailed the cupcake consistency as opposed to say a 3 layer cake effect.

    Nola

From Nola I get a very wet and sweet carmelized brown sugar and pure vanilla extract with mmm more brown sugar. 20 min into drydown it dissapears to a vauge smoke and faint brown sugar that sticks close to the skin. I get no Bourbon but that's not to say Nola isn't intoxifying, more like a sugar high . This would be fun to slather on with some Bourbon Vanilla Hydrating water for a layering effect or as Stormey suggested with MAW to get a Banana Fosters going.
  9. The votes are in for the category for best LPMP label and the winner is... MAKE A WISH AND BLOW!!! Luv, luv, luv this labeled bottle will keep this displayed forevah. I used to have the MM Chanel 5 poster but since I've outgrown idol posters this is a chic replacement. First impression is an overwhelming orchid paired w a creamy note, after a 4-5 minute drydown the orchid settles quite nicely to a now noticeable smooth banana, both notes bring a soft sweetness. I get more floral w a hint of cake. Pretty, sexy, yummy = win win win.
  10. Yeah great review Storemy, I originally missed your description of this in the new PE release thread up until 2 days ago when I reread it looking for MAW clues since no reviews had been posted, (the label alone sold it for me I figured if it smells bad at least it will look good displayed) I see the mystery of MAW is unfolding better than I expected.

    Nola

"I can almost imagine closing my eyes and feeling like I'm walking down Bourbon Street again." Glad to hear that Stormey, I was hoping the Bourbon would blend smooth enough to trigger good times.. my best blurred memories are from Bourbon Street.

Flyin Potion Poudre de Bourdon Eye of the Moggie Wisker Wishes BBM
  14. I'm still new to experimenting with pheros but I've noticed Leather in some blends always gets my attention.
  15. Ordered the sampler, MAW PE, Pourdre de Bourdons in spray, BBM and tried to get 2 Flying Potions but only 1 was in stock. So I think I ordered the last FP
  16. Thay all sound amazing 6 of which I'm really curious about, thank gawd for those sampler sets so I get to try the other 4.
  17. Okay okay put me down for Make A Wish with all these hot picks of Marilyn I gotta find out what she smells like
  18. That's a great Marilyn Monroe lable I don't recall ever seeing that photo of her before fits perfect with that clever caption, classic.
  19. Both Mardi Gras and Carnival themes that's cool, I'm guessing Esther is Purim that should be interesting.
  20. A lil bit of everything..is there a featured spolioli, graveyard type lp with 20 different notes? I'm still pretty absorbed w Feb's lp's, no expectations for March yet with the exception of Aja! More Aja blends!
  21. Welcome Absinthe! Nice selection to start off your collection that Jan sample should make a sweet first impression, enjoy!
  22. For those of you on the fence with this scent I wanna let you know I've gotten great feedback with Pourdre de Bourdons, a lot of "You smell great", "Something smells nice" or they comment on it's powdery note. Also if I happen to over apply with this lp I can get away with it cause it's a soft fragrance (unlike Aja straight I gotta be careful not appply more than 2 swipes). I do wear this w Flying Potion to add a social element to draw people in, tho I bet it's pretty fun to mix this with other lp's as well. So I would recommend the fb or the very least another sample to play and experiment with.
  23. Kinda hooked on Poudre de Bourdons and had to snag a bottle since my sample is ggg.
  24. Yeah the strawberry died down pretty fast on me as well and a smooth buttercream lingered for a couple of hours, not over powering at all and I slathered myself in this.
  25. I wasn't getting much fruitiness more of a sweet green note, more outdoors freshness, this is a tricky one for me to accurately describe since there aren't a variety of situations I can identify this with other than the perfect spring day. Also I haven't had much experience w Treasured Hearts so..
