  1. My hubby gets headaches from commercial perfumes that the women wear at his work. Absolutely no problems with me wearing LP's in oil or alcohol. He's also now wearing oil-based LP's himself !!
  2. Wendylynne, a truly lovely review. And I wear this scent almost weekly
  3. For me, straight alpha androstenol (but be careful, lots of people get headache hangovers from a large amount) and Sexpionage give me stronger orgasms.
  4. OK, wearing it with Gloria is brilliant !!! I would have never thought of that. Thanks for the tip !
  5. Spring is in the air, and the store is opening soon !!

Nice review, simplypurly, keep 'em coming !
  7. NuTrix, Aja fascinates me. It morphs and wafts and surprises me still. Right on my skin it still smells acidic after all these months, but even just 4 inches away...oh GAWD I love that smell. I have both oil and alcohol-based and the phenomenon is the same. So I just apply it to my belly area, that way I can get the best of both worlds. Oh, and I have sprayed it onto the back of my clothing, that worked great as well. Sometimes I wear it straight, when I crave this totally unique scent. And I'm still finding LP's that it goes fantastic with.
  8. cutie.pie but does it work in a scent locket for you ?
  9. NattyDread, Just a word of encouragement : don't be afraid of the sweet stuff. Many women really do like it on a guy. REALLY like it on a guy. Totem: Bear is a bit sweet with a peanut scent thrown in and it makes me smile (as I just found out today in my latest order). I love Homme on my man, as well as Dirty Old Man. Don't worry, you will still come across as plenty macho.
  10. Eggers, that is awesome Just so happens I got my latest order in today and I ordered BAM! in Buttercream Peach like Beach Goddess and StacyK recommended. Silly me !! I kept getting hung up on the buttercream part and my brain didn't clue into the peach part. This is sweet light fruity juicy goodness !!! Yummieeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Can't wait to see how the b-nol affects hubby (and myself). As my nick suggests, the 'nols are my favorite pheromones, but I have never experimented with cops and straight b-nol (without the a-nol like in TMI) before. Keep us updated, this interests me lots !
  11. This makes me feel young, to the point that when I look in the mirror, I would guess myself 10 years younger. I don't know how that works, it's pretty bizarre !!
  12. My brain (and nose) are learning and making connections. I'm excited at the progress. When I got a sample vial of this months ago, I went: "huh ???" because it didn't make sense/scents to me. I didn't know what I was smelling, and I didn't like it, so I put it in my box of "to be traded". So here I am, months on, and my box is getting full and I'm giving everything one last chance to stay with me or go. But something has evidently happened to my neural pathways between then and now. I have started to learn what's in certain scents, and I've started to make memory and emotional connections with a much larger variety of scents in a few short months than I have made in my entire life (this might be an exaggeration, but Mara uses many many ingredients, and I almost always get the monthly samplers, and then some). Anyway, as luck would have it, I had been playing with LP Black recently, and written a review on Knot, and ordered OCCO Black. So I opened this neglected little vial and BINGO ! Suddenly this scent = Knot + Black. And everything fell into place and I inhaled deeply and marveled at how it has come to pass that I have come to 'understand' this LP. I gave myself a little pat on the back and remembered in other recent threads how some others of you are also noticing changes / growth in the variety of scents you are able to enjoy. So why did I write so much about this ? To me, this is an acquired taste, not a scent normally found in nature. But it might just grow on ya, the way it did me. I'm going to combine the rest of my sample with Leather. Yum.
  13. Anyone tried mixing with Aja ? I have a very lonely bottle of straight Aja in my closet and she wants to be put in something....probably many different somethings since I *really* smell it in tiny quanities.
  14. September, that's kinda cool ! So now it's day 5 of my period and yes, I can smell it again. I'd say to maybe 60 %. I don't think I'm getting all the notes, it's a bit flat and lifeless to me. Usually it sparkles like a living thing. Onwards and upwards !
  15. And here I am yet again. This LP has not gotten any love !! In my hormone-topsy-turvey haze of the day before my period, *everything* was getting on my nerves. Including every single scent I have in my closet. But I was craving something. I ended up with my months-old sampler of this, opening the vial..."ohhh yes, this one". To me, it's like a milder, softer version of Love Potion Original. Probably because of the amber and apricot. And yes, I'm still getting that 'raw hemp' association. It's unobtrusive and lovely. A great one to hide your pheroblends in if you don't want to project too much. I could see a small amount of LAM or BAM going well with this as well. But this particular day, it was perfect to calm my frazzled brain, no pheromones, no complicated ingredients.
  16. I just found out something interesting about myself. I bought the scented version of this for hubby because I adore Compromising Positions and this based off of it and is a total win for me on him. I even applied some to a pillow just to have it close to me (and then I thought oopsy, it has cops in it....but it's been going fine for 2 weeks now from one application). Long story short, yesterday I was on day 2 of my period and at the end of the evening, hubby sticks his neck out to me and goes "what do I smell of ? " Apparently he had SLATHERED himself in it for me and had been getting zero reaction from me. And even when he drew my attention to it, I could barely detect it. I was guessing "Mean Business" because I detected a very faint powdery moss type thing. This is wild. Apparently I am 99 % nose-blind to this during a part of my period. Now I need to track how close to ovulation I need to be to smell it and respond and love it again !
  17. Thanks you two. So BAM has more cops than LAM. Where does OCCO fit in with that ? StacyK, I friggin adore the OCCO White and so I think I will try BAM vanilla like you recommended. Of all the experiementation I've done, I have little experience with a cops/ b'nol combo. Sounds intense.
  18. Irish eyes, ( & everyone) How did things work out for you with Sheer Essence ? I bought a pheromas trial bottle and the dropper is soooo tiny. Seems to me that a drop from that isn't going to be like a regular drop. I do great with Occo White 2 swipes from the trial vial wands on each wrist. So something approaching that concentration would be good. I don't want to waste my pheromas bottle by totally messing up the dosing. Thanks bunches.
  19. vladmyra, thanks for the notice that some blends don't smell right for the first week after blending. This could explain why my simple mixing of 1/2 Feral in oil with 1/2 Totem:Tiger in oil was completely "meh" right afterwards. I was afraid I had ruined it by following my intuition on this combo, but there was no way I was throwing it out so I labeled my new bottle and set it aside. 2 weeks later...it's all there, the vanilla from the one and the cinnamon goodness from the other. Made me a happy camper.
  20. This is beyond awesome. It's like a stranger letting you into their house and showing their sanctum sanctorium...each bottle carefully removed from its designated spot, then the owner describes it to me in hushed tones, while I scribble notes and just bask in all that she has experienced, treasured. For a newbie like myself, this is also a bit of a time capsule, as most of these are so far gone that they aren't even on the Artfire/Etsy webpages anymore. Many of these I will never have access to except in the occasional trade. That's both sad and yet...it gives me shivers. These are scents that many many people have loved and worn and shared with others. There's something beautiful and sacred about that. I thank you for this. It looks like you haven't been on since summer 2014. I do hope you come back to review the current scents !!
  21. Madison, if you put this in a scent locket, then you won't have the problem of trying to wash this off your skin and dealing with how it smells on day 2. If you don't want to buy one, you could even try just putting it on a cotton pad like what you use to get nail polish off, and tucking that into the edge of your bra. Then when you want to stop smelling it, get rid of the cotton pad.
  22. I am kicking myself !!! I forgot to order a FB of Eve of Darkness with my January order. And it's become one of my 'can't live without this, crave this, must have this one me at least every other day" scents right now. That may change in the summer but damn.....yummieeeeeeee. Hubby has agreed to let me place another order. Possibly because he's getting good effects with SWS at work, and with Dirty Old Man with me It's great to have him on board, I must say.
  23. This is possibly my first negative review since joining 7 months ago. I am no stranger to copulins, both from LPMP and outside sources. I've read plenty of times how other members comment that they 'smell the cops' on drydown, and I was always like "huh, how interesting" because although I can detect pheromones rather easily in lesser quality products from other companies, I've never detected them in any of LPMP's products. Until yesterday. I tried BAM! in sandalwood from a smaple vial and it was an instant recoil for me. Even on drydown, after 30 minutes, I can smell what can only be the cops. While this is an interesting experience, I am saddened I cannot wear this by itself. I LOVE me some sandalwood. The other problem is that the smell of copulins just doesn't make sense to my brain with the masculine sandalwood. It's possible that I've been able to detect cops previously, but since they were mixed with sweeter/foodie ingredients, I was able to 'organize' that in my brain into some category : sexy female cupcake scent, sexy vanilla cream scent, sexy tropical scent....but my brain just goes 'wrong wrong wrong' with this combination. Which is funny because I am having such a positive experience with the "Love is Love with Girl/Girl" which has both masculine and feminine ingredients. The only way I can see myself wearing this is if I want to add some cops to one of my incense-like scents, such as Majmua Sultana. I'm guessing I would have more luck with the other BAM! scent combos.
  24. When I tested this yesterday, I made the rookie mistake of judging it while still wet on my skin. But I think I can be forgiven, as I had just received my order and was racing through all my goodies. So now it's past midnight and I randomly reached into my sample bag and applied one. And as it turns out, it's this one. I made the decision not to read the ingredients, but just to experience. As this dries, the notes move into place. It goes from a disconcerting (to me, anyway) lemony mess to something subtle and beautiful. I can picture myself with a garland of violets on my head, in early summer, under a mossy oak. The light is just starting to fade, and I'm enjoying a leisurely picnic with...someone I care about. That target is interestingly shifting. It could be my daughter, my BFF, someone I'm mentoring. We both have glimmering and open heart chakras, which are easier to perceive in the dimming light As the sun sets, the interaction becomes more and more heartfelt. We share a cup of tea from our thermos. We move our hands over the bed of clover, releasing the fragrant scent as the conversation and energy flow. The scent of the nearby tobacco fields softly anchors the scene. This is one of those lost-in-time moments, a moment you can't plan for but spontaneously unfolds itself. I cannot comment on the Girl/Girl yet but I did find it interesting that my visualization didn't specify a gender. Looking at the ingredients, there's an intended balance of traditionally male/female ingredients. Coming from a spiritual perspective, I think this blend has the potential to move us beyond that duality. But I will have to try that during meditation. There are at least two threads I have found on Girl/Girl and G2. I understand this is now the original phero blend again. Others with more experience will probably chime in with their stories below. I have noticed myself feeling quite calm with this one, not like Balm Bomb or the other B's but just awake and calm. I am excited to see where this phero blend and scent take me in the future. There was mention on the other threads of using it at work, much like SWS. That would be perfect me for me, as I am a supervisor surrounded by women. This one is subtle on me, I have it in oil in the sample vial. I have to move my nose to within 4 inches to smell it. Further than that, and it smells more like a "my skin but better" scent to my nose. This again is a bonus for me, as I am officially not supposed to be wearing "perfume" at work and I'm pretty sure I can get away with this one rather easily. Off for more official experimentation !!
  25. There is no way I can review this lovely LP to the amazing extent patchjulie did, so I won't even try. Instead, I will focus on the osmanthus that is in here. It's also in Belladonna Brew, The Emperor, Immortal Beauty, Lap of Luxury, Mercuralia. I found myself sniffing my wrist a LOT since getting this as a Free Gift from LPMP. My nose seems to be fascinated with it. I was guessing vanilla at first, but then the slight floral top notes started. So spent a bit of time researching this ingredient. It's a member of the olive tree family. The fragrance oil is very expensive to buy. Peach, apricot, violet, and leather are notes commonly associated with it. It's one of the top 10 famous flowers in China and Taiwan. It's part of old wedding customs, More to the point of this LP, there is a Chinese myth involving the osmanthus growing on the moon. It's also brewed alongside green or black tea leaves (and therefore possibily explains why it does so well with the "tea leaves" as another of the ingredients.) I'm yet another Forum Member who emphatically states she is not a 'floral' type of person, but this I loooooove. It's delicate, soft, and has a magical quality to it. No soap at all for me.
