  1. Channeling the inner romance writer?
  2. Thanks! Now I can be nosy with the title to give me just cause.
  3. It was very potent in the bottle, very floral for what I normally would enjoy but putting it on softened to floral scents tremendously. I got a whiff of coconut as it was drying down but then didn't notice it at all afterward. It became very warm and fruity. Much later, I noticed mostly a warm sugar tone, almost like brown sugar. The effects of LFM were exactly what I had hoped for as well. The second time I wore it I noticed the coconut more and didn't get the warm sugar on dry down at all. I kept waiting for it because it was kind of luscious and sweet together. The second time it continued to smell very well blended the entire time. As far as hits go, LFM was exactly what you guys said it would be. I am very glad it was suggested to me by several people. I wore it to work and one of the managers standing next to me stayed around after the morning meeting to talk. He had TONS to do. He later brought in my stuff himself instead of sending one of his people. Then he stayed around while I opened it "to see if it was what we had been waiting on" which didn't really matter to anyone outside the frame shop. Normally he is humorous but it has a somewhat condescending tone to it. Like he assumes he is smarter than everyone else. This time he was almost respectful. For self effects, which was why I was wanting to wear LFM to begin with, it was exactly right also. I had more confidence and didn't feel as chatty and open as I am with some of the other social pheros.
  4. I wrote down notes for this and I don't think I ever posted them. This smells like a New Age store that I love. Next time I am in there I will have to check on which incense it is that they are burning the most. In the beginning I smell the neroli backed by the spicy clove punch. It dries down to smooth musk and sandalwood but retains a bit of that spicyness to remind you that it is there. Perhaps because of the association with the shop, it puts me in a very introspective, spiritual mood. I love it.
  5. I don't know enough to answer that question but I did notice that Mega Watt is listed as a women's phero so there might be something in there that isn't good for men. I am sure someone more knowledge will come along to clarify.
  6. I linked a couple in the Etsy thread also. Solid perfume is meh but that might only be my experience with it. I made some to fill lockets and it smelled great but it doesn't replace oil or spray for coverage and lasting scent. I did love wearing the locket though and holding it to my nose to smell the scent. (People probably thought I was insane.) There is just something about this little ring that amuses me. I keep seeing it in searches for other things. Its huge but kind of cute. Lip Balm Locket Ring
  7. And I am Mrs. Kravitz. There is some funny stuff going on around here!
  8. I came for the scents and stayed for the pheros? (With the phero trials it seems that way) I came and stayed because Mara's perfumes have been the best I have tried of any artisan perfume and then I started reading the board. Everyone was so helpful and friendly that I wanted to stay and get to know such a wonderful group of people.
  9. Thank you for the speedy shipping during the holiday break! And for sending a sniffie of one of the scents I really wanted to try.
  10. Maybe you are so relaxed that your inner snark comes out. I have to concentrate pretty hard to keep such comments to myself so I could imagine that if something were to loosen the admittedly not very tight grasp I had on such commentary that I'd be seen as bitchy also, perhaps even amusingly so. I have the next few days off. I might have to try it. (I have family visiting, ROFL)
  11. I will tell him when it gets here. Getting him to remember without an example would be asking for a mini miracle.
  12. Oooh crystals and wraps! You have my attention! The last thing I made was some wire wrap ear cuffs, I think. I have made a lot more clay things. I went to Fairy Escape Atlanta and sold clay jewelry and hair sticks only to find that many people don't know how to use hair sticks and are sure it is hard so I didn't sell much. I used to sell anime cat ears made of light super soft clay, ribbons, bells and beads but then so many people started making those out of the machined plastic that I couldn't really keep up with their crazy low prices versus my time and materials. I helped make a ton of custom goggles for a friend's costuming booth a few years ago but he doesn't do those any more. Last year around this time I was crocheting like crazy. I burned myself out on it. The only sections in Michaels that I have not ventured into, aside from specific items, are scrapbooking and floral. I have no real interest in floral. (I occasionally want to make a wreath or garland headdress but I usually talk myself out of it) I hear scrapbooking is a huge money, space and time sink so I am resisting the urge. Its tough. I look at the cricut machines and consider all the cool things that could be done with it. And then I remind myself that I don't have room for it, or time for it...or need for it. I have been bored today. I tried to get my family to go out and see a movie but they have sat around instead so I have been working on a new av for the New Year in Illustrator. We'll see if I like it enough to use it. I love jewelry and crafts of all kinds., love, love, love them. I can get geeky excited about shiny new craft stuff. It is an addiction.
  13. LOL! Tell em to make that jump count and they might make it to the grass on the side of the road, oh, and don't forget to tuck and roll. That gives us a chance to make some more money to buy the new stuff with. Would you share some jewelry pictures with us? (I am overly obsessed with all things shiny and crafty. It means my paycheck usually just goes right back to Michaels. )
  14. You said you only met them once before at the last New Year's Eve party right? So last time you were totally new and therefore they might have been more curious about you. This time they know you a little but not enough to include you in their little groups. I hate going to parties where everyone immediately divides into their little sections. At least the Cougar helped with part of the party population.
  15. In the standard answer of my parents. "20 more minutes." Which could actually mean anything from 20 minutes to 2 days.
  16. I ended up getting him Hunter Trapper because that was one of the ones he mentioned. Hopefully he will like it.
  17. Perhaps you just haven't found what he loves yet. My ex was not very interested in the scents I wore and not very vocal about things in general so I had no idea if he liked most of them or not...but then I found one he loved and he finally said something, accompanied by much sniffing of my neck. I know that he would have told me if he hated them though so at least he never said that.
  18. Yeah, I considered it but he is a guy which means I know he won't necessarily shower again if he showered before going out. He works with a ton of guys, a ton, so I figured he should probably stay away from Wanted Man for that reason. However, normally I would think that is -exactly- what he needs.
  19. So my brother's birthday is today. My mother told me last night that she had gotten him some cologne. I thought that what he needed was an Un phero to go with it because he has been feeling down about his single status also. He is my brother so I can't say much for what he smells like, aside from like my brother, but I have noticed that he has a ton of women in his life. His female friends from high school, work, ex-girlfriends, etc...They all call him when they have a crisis or need a shoulder to cry on. He apparently feels, safe, cuddly, calm and protective. He's a pretty down to earth kind of guy. I think he could use something to help him be less "the friend" and more the one some special girl wants to be with all the time, and not just when her current boyfriend is treating her like crap. Any thoughts or suggestions? I showed him the list and he thought Heart Throb and Hunter Trapper sounded good. (The cologne mom got him was Light Blue for men. Just as a side mention,)
  20. I think I am the other way around. Ladybird with Levitation makes me cheerful but I have worn Lightning in a Bottle without noticing much. I have worn both to work mostly and during the Christmas season so I HAVE to talk to people. Far more than I care to some days. I wore Pirouette today and I love LFM. I wore it the other day to work and one of guys that is normally stand offish to everyone stayed nearby, lingering to chat or just listen. He is normally somewhat condescending in his tone, even when he is kidding. Like he knows, whatever it might be, better than anyone else. Both times I have worn Pirouette he has been almost respectful. He brought a box to me from Fed Ex today and normally he would go back to work but he hung around. (On the excuse to see if it was what we were waiting for which isn't very exciting to anyone but a framer.) A customer asked me every question under the sun today and listened to every word like I had all the answers to her crafting dilemmas. I had the answers but I am used to people being more questioning about my answers. Couldn't I use this instead? Why should I prime it first? Isn't there an easier way? And so on. So yay for mysterious artsy guru vibe.
  21. I got both Cougar and Popularity Potion. How is Open Windows different from Levitation? Is it just the added DHEAs? And Cougar vs Lumina? I was reading the post on Lumina and it was described as Cougar Lite.
  22. Cougar was at the top of the list. I believe Rose mentioned she was going to give it a try because she felt "So tired" as Madeline Khan put it in Blazing Saddles and that is pretty accurate for me too. Of course I suspect the hectic retail holiday schedule has been a huge factor in feeling like I spent the day being dragged behind a horse.
  23. So I want to buy a few more of the trial UNs before they are gone but after Christmas, paying off the last of a bill and Capricorn birthdays I am not going to have a lot left over to spend. I was thinking I could probably manage two or three. I already have Heart and Soul, Levitation, Balm Bomb and a full bottle of SS4W. I have liked the effects of LFM so I was thinking of getting that. I don't have a significant other at the moment so I think I have enough romantic things between the phero scents and the SS4W. I was wondering what social blends you guys might recommend for work/social with only the occasional side of flirty. There are so many that I think would be good that it is hard to narrow it down.
  24. Yeah I put a scent on one of the felt pieces, forgetting that it had cops in it. It was a very quick and potent reminder.
