The Newbie Sampler (Because this newbie only realized it was there a few weeks ago) Tyvey's Chewy Spice and Spring's Lusty Cherry, and samples of Amethyst, Beth's Blushing Milkmaid and Flying Potion.

I wouldn't know about Tabu. I don't remember smelling it that was a co-worker's opinion. My grandmother had a lot of perfume bottles from the 40's and 50's. I remember the Youth Dew bottle, Chanel no 5, and Intimate but there were a lot more.

This is almost overwhelming right out of the bottle. Wet on me it is very strong, almost cloying. It reminds me of how magnolia or gardenia can be almost too much to handle even naturally. Once it dries down though it is very pleasant, complex, powdery and woody at the same time. It reminded me of a perfume that my paternal grandmother used to wear but I couldn't remember which one. She had a bunch on her vanity and also those perfumed powders with the fuzzy poofs. So I bothered several people I work with. (Some are used to it. I make them smell stuff I've concocted all the time.) I grabbed one co-worker before she could go on break and made her smell my arm. She said it reminded her of Tabu or maybe Beautiful but she was more certain that it was Tabu. Another co-worker was sure that it was White Shoulders. I got home and made my mom smell. Since she actually knew my grandmother she had a much better chance of coming up with the right answer. She was certain it was Intimate by Revlon. We then took her bathroom apart because she was sure she had a bottle of it somewhere. She did and it does smell somewhat like Intimate. Essentially though, I think it smells like the complex woody fragrances from the 1940's - 1950's. I love that it reminds me of my grandmother and I love that it dries down very soft and lovely.

Probably not and if they did they would likely be on their best behavior. Amazing what potential evidence will do to change someone's apparent attitude.

LOL! Can he make cool smoke rings? I can't eat first thing in the morning either. I often bring something small so I can eat it before work or on a break if I am still not interested in it.

I was going to wait until next week but apparently these are going faster than the first batch. Can I have one as well? (I can tell the one I already have will get used up very quickly)

I was going to say that being straight forward and honest was likely to get a defensive response but I see from your post that you figure that as well. Are you going to be recording the interaction or just taking notes of what happens?

LOL! Sadly it is often difficult to play with all your toys at the same time.

I wore it yesterday and I still love it. In the beginning the cherry is juicy, not candy sweet. I like that a lot. Occasionally as it was drying down I would get whiffs of bourbon vanilla almost by itself but at the end it is a soft resin scent that is warm and sexy. I do kind of wish there was more of this. I see my one bottle going fast.

Yes, that is a difficult talk and awkward though I am sure she understood. I had to have the discussion a year ago. Some pheros would have been good then too. However, it worked out much better for me afterward and it looks like it will be working out wonderfully for you. Congratulations on the new salon space!

I really like this. I smell the chocolate, lemon and cherry at the start but they mix together nicely. On dry down I get the sugar, amber and musk. Its a very soft musk which is wonderful. There are so few musk scents that I can wear. I can actually smell the amber in this on dry down. It tends to be a very soft scent and often just bolsters other scents in a blend but this is very distinctly amber with a hint of the chocolate left. Delicious.

That is super smart thinking there, WnG. I hope it went well and hopefully, Missdarlyncherie, yours turned out well also even without the phero help. You said it was horrible, was that the experience or the outcome or both?

I really like this one. I wore it with my black Mad Scientist tee shirt and black nail polish. I am a half hearted Goth or maybe just lazy. In the bottle the rose is very strong and wet it is definitely the premiere fragrance but I liked that it was a dark, almost spicy rose. The scent lingered nicely and the dry down was very nice. I will have to wear it again and pay more attention. I was out with family and the Chinese food scents took over the evening.

I am totally going to have to try this tomorrow. I loved the smell in the vial but ended up trying different things first. I was also worried about the lemon so I am glad you guys are saying that it isn't very strong.

Thanks for reminding me that I need to add a bottle to my list for the paycheck I am spending before having gotten it.

The Patchouli is very tame in this. To me it smells a lot like LP Red. (I haven't smelled LP Original) but a little more cherry and a bit less resiny. When I wear it again I will add more but I had it on yesterday and that is what I noted. I love it. That much I already know.

I like this. It is a powdery floral on me, a hint of sweetness from the Jasmine but not over the top. I am wary of Lavender scents because often that is ALL I can smell but this Lavender mixes nicely with the rest. It is soothing. It is incredibly soft with a more personal feel. I don't think it would carry very far away from you unless you slathered on a lot but I think this scent is more for the wearer than for others anyway so that is perfect. I kind of want a nice warm blanket and some tea now.

I had a terrible headache all last night and this morning. The knowledge that my NR's were likely in the mailbox is what made me get up and get dressed today. I love the red bags. I might have to hide the little sequined one from my mother who ooh'd and aah'd over it when I brought them with us to lunch. I made her smell everything with me while we waited on our food. Thank you so much! Very quick and totally wonderful like always. I haven't even gotten to the sniffies yet but I saw some of those that I want to smell also.

Can I reserve one of Tyvey's Chewy Spice? I believe they are going to pay me sometime next week so I should start spending it now.
