On one hand, I am sad that NRs will only come out every other month since last year they seemed to come out monthly and that there will be less to choose from--yet I am sure the wide variety has led to some perishable stock you had to discount or liquidate. On the other, I believe if you don't change things up, you live on a hamster wheel. I am not a monthly PE type but I have enjoyed so many that it will be nice to see people do this more. There were so many good ideas recently like the destination scents! Maybe quarterly you could throw out a PE theme and let people jump in on that. I participate in themed soap swaps and have seen great innovation when given some "rules" or "themes". Good luck Mara! You are such an amazing artist and businesswoman that I am sure whatever plan you hatch is successful.

Y'all jacked my thread and went all psychological on this!!! Just wanted to make sure I will not be turning my BF into a GF with EOW.

I realize this isn't a perfume, but the POSTCARDS ARE AMAZING!!! Wow! Heavy duty card stock, lovely bright images. . .these are fantastic. Thank you so much Mara!!!! I think we forget about all the work that goes on besides just creating and making the perfume. . the bag creation, the printing of labels and such. . .you must be thinking of NRs months and months in advance. Thank you again for a gorgeous collection from this customer who is allergic to cats but is loving yours!!!

Thanks for weighing in everyone! In full disclosure, I was thinking your answers were going to come back that it would feminize a man (which would not be a good thing in terms of my feelings for my BF). I am going to have him try to wear closer for a couple of reasons. First, I think the scent is way too strong for me with all that leather and I hate to have a bottle go to waste. Second, I don't have the jealousy gene. If this caused girls to slink up to him, I would probably laugh my ass off, wink and wave him off to go play with the girls. And if this turns women around him off? No big deal as we are in a very committed relationship. If guys give him the buddy buddy nod. . .that's cool too. The third reason, and probably the most important, is that I have waning drive. If this gets his testosterone pumping and that translates into something that will increase my drive, that is all a good thing. The only thing I was worried about is if I would get turned OFF by him smelling like cops and it doesn't sound that that would happen (since I bathe in cops myself).

Totally fresh papaya ginger as someone said. Really full bodied like a papaya margarita vs a wimpy chenin blanc. So juicy you want to drink it. Outside of ginger, I get zero spice. I usually won't wear fruit but this is really yummy. This would be fantastic on my daughter and now I know what she is getting for V day!!! Ohhh mahogany shows up around 30 minutes and it gives it such nice depth!!

Nice. I am not an aquatic scent fanatic but I can see wearing it daytime in Spring. It's sheer on me. The floral is not really floral on me....it's more like cactus and aloe milkyness..a high note over a cold blue lake aquatic. It smells crisp and clean but I am not getting soapy at all. I never would have purchased this but it came in the set and it reminds me that my tastes are expanding and growing. I can see wearing this with a blue floral dress and a white cardigan and feeling like Grace Kelly.

I am sure it will tone down on me after it settles! Or I just amp honey as karmic payback for all the boys in my past that wore leather jackets

After drydown, it has noticeably softened and now I feel like I am a big fat roll of strawberry cotton candy with a hint of lavender. I like it, although I think it is a little too girly for me in my late 40's. But it has some of that balm bomb vibe so maybe I will add my trial of Balm Bomb and use this at night with pink fuzzy slippers, a boa and 80's movies. You are all invited. Edit: this got really delicious after a couple of hours... soft and pink like rubbing a new fluffy powder puff all over your body. This is so not me yet I am in love with it.

Today, immediately at the point of opening my new shipment, it's all leather and strong chemical smelling. I'm sure in a day or two it will sweeten but it made me wonder if a man could wear cops. Sometimes I wish he had another GF, people. Dude is attached to my hip.

I'm smelling Closer and I think this would smell better my boyfriend (heavy duty leather) than it would on me. But it has EOW. So what happens when men wear EOW?

HOLY CRAP! First one I opened in the mail. . .leather, leather, leather only wet. Makes me Woozy and Dizzy. Today, as it just got here in the mail, it smells like dating my high school bf-- I had climbed into the back of my boyfriends car with his leather jacket and leather seats with leather cleaner and I'm drinking some jack daniels straight from a pint bottles and I am starting to get a little buzzed and a little loose . . wow. In about 10 minutes it sweetens up and I start to smell some honey and other sweet notes. I haven't had that visceral reaction to any scent yet (a visual and olfactory flashback). This is amazing. I feel like I just time travelled.

Just got this today and hoping it is just travel shock. It actually smells like a berry cough drop on me--almost medicinal. I'm sure that's going to go away. Normally I wouldn't have opened right away but was going through the cats to see about the leakage. However, the label is so fantastic that even if I roll around smelling like cough medicine, I don't care because I'm channeling my Lady V vibe.

Mine was affected, but on the bright side. . ..15 bottles, 4 are relatively fine. I'll email to replace the 11 damaged ones.

I got this from the trades and I love love it! It's much creamier and cake like vs sugared gingerbread. It's the perfect gingerbread scent I have been craving! I get some dairy but more like a crystalline sugar frosting that appears at a half hour into dry down. Sadly lace seems to do nothing for me...no ditsy or giddy. I almost get quieter when I wear it which probably means no effect. I need to figure out what in Lace is my issue.

CK--I am so down with that idea. . .hope I get to order one of those PEs when she announcing them.

I love it. I boosted it with audacious in a spray and it's always in my purse. Perfect creamy vanilla --not bakery but not floral vanilla. Very sweet but the depth is smokey on me. Glad I got 2 FB.
