    Titian Sweet

This is a perfect example of how sometimes, out of nowhere, a scent you think you mayn't be able to wear pleasantly surprises you. Maple can be loud, working against my skin instead of with it. Not this time. Every note showed up and played the sweetest tune. The orange introduced the main players and then faded into the background. The maple, sugar, and amber (sometimes also an iffy character, truth be told) melded together beautifully. During dry down, there was the slightest hint of damp concrete after rain~which was likely supposed to be smoked sugar, but my nose..well, my nose..anyway, that was a lovely touch. For a moment I got an image of a rainy autumn day stroll, accompanied by a caramel latte. Once all was settled, what remained was a silken caramel cream, with perhaps the faintest hint of maple. Beautiful scent, and honestly, one I'd wear year round.
  2. This is gorgeous. I'm walking toward the cabin, toting a bucket of blueberries. The dogs are loping alongside, snagging a berry now and again as they tumble on the ground. I can see the smoke curling from the chimney, a welcome invitation. I pop a berry into my mouth and crush it between my teeth. Immediately there's a burst of tart and sweet, matching the dusty blue violet of the berry. I push open the door and the warmth of the woodsmoke greets me. Berries into wash then into the heavy pan. Bright and true and fresh. Makes my mouth water. Add some sugar and a pinch of spice. The berry steam is rising, mixing with the comforting scent of the morning fire. Ahhh, there'll be blueberry dumplings for lunch. But first, a bit of toast and butter and a ladle of berries, with a cuppa. Time for a quick stir of the embers, feet up on the table and two dogs by my side to savor the moment. Upon application: berries, tart and true. Within a couple of moments, a whiff of wood fire burning. A bit of musk peeps through, but mostly, I get a co-mingling of blueberries and happily dancing fire. Through dry time, the smoke lessens, but remains. The softer side of blueberry comes forward, but the spice keeps this from any sort of powdered sweetness. Mara somehow managed to capture exactly what she said she did..Blue Smoke. Amazing. Pure magic.
  3. MARA!!!! This is MAGICKALLY FANTASTIC! Just got the NRs. Squeeee, cackle, happy feet!! You are something else, woman!
  4. Cream and Honey and bread fresh from the oven..oh, there is perhaps no more inviting, welcoming scent than this. In my hometown, there is a bakery. During the wee hours of the morning, if you step onto the front porch, close your eyes and take a deep breath, the air is scented with exactly this PE by Rebecca. I could travel anywhere and not feel homesick simply by wearing Hot Milk and Honey. Thank you Mara and Rebecca!
  5. Can't wait to see what Cheesy has to say about this one!
  6. Just popping in to say feel free to start a review of HARRISON when you receive it. It will take awhile for the parcel to arrive here. Will have Harrison give a review when he takes it for a spin. Thanks, everyone!
  7. Storax has a balsam scent, at least that is what a botanical page I looked up described.

    Hauntings

I cannot wait to try this one!
  9. Stacy, I found myself beginning to panic wwhen the two Seaside Sizzles were reaching an end. Like you, I find it to be an instant vacation. You will love the suncatchers. I fell in nutty love with them the day Mara posted the photo. I have two hanging in east/west windows. The rest are wrapped up as promised gifts, otherwise they'd be hanging in every room in my house! They are gorgeous!
  10. Got the NR sampler. Too many intriguing choices not to try them all. Then, I ordered a fb each of Seaside Sizzle with Aja and A Wake. From the brick and mortar store, I requested two more suncatchers for gifting. As a present to my younger adult son, I turned Mara loose on the HARRISON PE (four bottles). Really want another pumpkin scent, but can't justify that when there's Candy House in the Sampler. I feel like I've just ordered a fully loaded large pizza pie..and a diet drink..because, one must stop the gluttony at SOME point. Nom..nom..nom..nom... By the way, if you've not discovered Mara's suncatchers, you're missing something spectacular! I've given several as birthday gifts, each time to rave reviews. This holiday season, all the girls will find suncatchers in their packages. During our interminable, frigid winter, the ladies will be able to capture a ray of sunshine and set it free to dance around the room. JOY!
  11. Donsie, I said exactly the same thing when I saw Autumn Rain!
  12. Emailed for an invoice. If the totaks don't look correct, just knock me in the noggin' and set me straight. Thanks so much for everything!
  13. Ok..dingy brunette question time..ready? Brings to total of three?
  14. I'd like to reserve the spare bottle of of HARRISON you set aside, please.
  15. Chevked Dtsy snd no MLH. Treadured Hearts, you think? Dealing with prickly situation.
  16. Does anyone know whether Mara has created wax melts using MLH? If I wanted to add a pheromone to a wax melt, how can that be accomplished? I'm ordering a Balm Balm wax melt, but I'd like to have MLH as well. Thanks ahead of time to any of you who respond.
  17. HARRISON is absolutely NOT a candle scent. This one was a PE for the gents imagined by my 23-year-old son, Harrison. I'll let Mara explain whether this could go unisex, or no. The original idea for this scent is under YOUR POTION IDEAS in the subthread Your PE Ideas, under the title New Scent for the Guys.
  18. Where's the thread, Hearts? ETA: THESE ARE GORGEOUS NOTES!!!!
  19. Great job all you creative perfume-minded and artistic label-makers out there! Everything sounds and looks yummy. Off to read Invidiana's notes.
  20. Mara! Woman, what kind of batteries do you run on, and how do you keep them charged?! Hi all! Harrison is a raisin-scented tobacco scent with a nod to our Irish and Scottish family heritage..no beer here. Mara is the genius behind this label. I'll let her tell you the rest. I bounced around several notes with her and..as always..she came up with a vision that nailed the concept.
  21. My payments are beginning to go through now, seemingly from here to Prague. Thank goodness most everyone I've done business with, I deal with on a regular basis. Everyone has been very patient.
