  1. Tombstone Tart..I see what you did there, Mara. You clever girl! I'm currently unavailable for further comment. I'm in the cemetery with Great Gran Della, picnicking on fruit crumble with candied pecans. Pour us a cuppa, won't you, lovey?
  2. This is surprising. Not one thorn from the rose. This is our friend, Dusan Salter's Irish home at tea time. She makes a beautiful black herbal tea with her own honey. We sip it in her garden where a beautiful white rose drapes over an arch and fragrant herbs and flowers spill over the clay pots. If I close my eyes and take a whiff, I'm right there with her. This is beautiful.
  3. Usually, I get a notice when the parcel is picked up in Vancouver, followed by a secpnd, postwhen the parcel has left a facility in Oregon. I don't receive another notice until the parcel leaves Indianapolis and is heaed out for delivery. The home city and my home town post are three different notices that appear in the same grouping of three..simultaneously posted. I usually plan on four to five business days, but I never know when the parcel will arrive with any degree of accuracy.

    Hauntings

I'm wearing Hauntings again today. Completely captivated by this scent..potion.
  5. Many thanks, evrtyone..Seajm and Phergineer! I am well stocked ! (♡)
  6. New sun catchers arrived. OH MY WORD! GORGEOUSNESS!!! Note to self: These are gifts. These are gifts. These are gifts.
  7. This was the pne I saved until last because patch almost always tries to smother me. Eventually, I did have to wash this one off, but I did appreciate where this was meant to go. The apple and storax went together well. Very fresh, exhilerating. The benzoin was fine. But, the Dragon's Blood and amber began to overtake everything else at about 30 minutes and then it was all patchouli. This is definitely a scent I wish I could pull off, but I just amp to the moon. I wish I could smell this on someone who can wear it. I'd love to know what it should be on the right person.
  8. No grapefruit or cassis here, which is just fine. There IS marshmallow and vanilla, a faint hint of licorice that adds a layer of depth without announcing itself, a warmth but not discernable as spice, and oh, the ylang just makes me melt. The levitation is exquisite. As always, it enters my head and I feel as though my brain is full of helium. I absolutely love this version! Mara, please keep this one on your forever list.
  9. I tried. I tried not to buy anything from the weenies. Hauntings kept whispering to me. A week went by and it began calling to me from my perfume chest. It wanted to come and live here, be treasured. Before long, I felt anxious every time I used a drop or two. Seemed the only logical solution was a full bottle. I caved. I caved like a fallen soufflé.
  10. Oh good. I talked to John last night and he's such a scemer..talkex me right into it!

    Titian Sweet

Oh, wow, as a wax melt tart..luscious!
  12. I keep a chunk of it alongside several other pieces. I have to dust it with a wee feather duster. IVery fragile, so much so that just hsndling it incorrectly causes crystal bits to break. Be careful with it.
  13. Straight out of the vial this reminds me of, but is lighter than, a PE I had Mara conjure for me a couple of years ago, called Wendy's Wandering Moonlight. The addition of hay and apple go a long way to carry this out of a wood-dense rainy forest to an apple orchard after a rain. Fresh, light, beautiful. At first, the fern is strong, but within less than ten minutes the hay-strewn path beckons you to a wagon which carries passengers, bumping along ruts, to fields and rows heavy with "you pick" pumpkins and apples. A north wind blows in a whirling rain. Surprisingly, behind the hay barn a wee Candy House appears within a fog. Blue Smoke whisps up and drifts toward the wagon. Perhaps the apples and pumpkins can wait a bit.

    Hauntings

Don't listen to the voice. Don't believe a word she says. She lies. She lies. I wore this again today. Must say that I found it even more gorgeous than I had previously. How is that possible? I promised myself I would not buy anything but the sampler. I promised. I did. Did..... That's past tense, isn't it?
  15. This started as © Ricola Lemon and Honey. Not a bad thing. I never presuppose any scent. I just go with it. Once the herbal settled down, I was left with a bit of bittered lemon peel and a honey that is sweet, not raw. This is , on me at least, a meditative scent, or one I'd wear in a setting that requires a calm, yet sraightforward approach. Clean, without soapiness. Warm without 'come hither' scent. Herbal without bite. Calm and clean.

    Candy House

Pumpkin, sweet and spicy~but not over the top~ beautiful warmth wafting from this candy house. Within a few moments, vanilla and a buttery richness arrive, adding depth. As with most pumpkin and spice scents, I cannot keep from snuffling my arm. The sugar lifts the cinnamon to happiness level five, so middle of the spectrum, not off the charts. As time goes on, just as in baking a pumpkin pie, the spice backs down, allowing the pumpkin to become richer and more defined. At 30 minutes, the entire solution settles into a perfect blend. I will continie this review in the couple of hours as the scent continues to develop. ETA: The tail end here is cinnamon, but a dryer version than what first appeared. The final scent reminds me of those yummy cinnamon toothpicks we used to make as kids.

    Hauntings

Luna, yes, exactly. I am dizzy with the intoxication of this. At first there was a sweet, near-anise quality as the sandalwood, myrrh and vanilla musk swirled 'round like aether. It drifted throughout my nasal cavity, straight to my brain pan and into my mouth and throat. I opened my mouth, breathing deeply, savouring the flavours and textures produced by adding oxygen. Somewhere, a whiff of smoke became fog. I closed my eyes and let myself go where this haunting would take me. A long hidden hooded grey velvet cloak appeared. Tucked into the hood, a dainty pair of grey-green pearl buttoned, velvet and lace gloves made by delicate hands. Items lovingly placed in a trunk and stored away long before you or I had been imagined. All this time, waiting for adoring eyes to be cast upon its grandeur, discovered via a magickal potion in a wee vial.

    Infusion

Tart and earthy lush blackberry and black currant. A glimpse of raspberry and bright pomegranate peek through and wink. Wonderful. Then comes the musk..uh-oh. This is turning to a nose poker incense. I'm waiting this out to see how this develops. Please, hold. Ok, after an hour I decided this is not a 'me' scent. This went from very berrylicious to a nearly chewable incense. I think the red musk overpowered me. I don't dislike the scent, but it is loud on my skin. This would be fine at open air events where it had room to move and breathe.
  19. Harrison asked for a raisin-tobacco scent, and I think I hit this one spot on. A base of non-foody vanilla blended with cured tobacco and roasted tea leaves, layered with a thick raisin note and a few drops of bourbon. I think this will be fabulously sexy on a man. I'd wear it too. Just received the bottles yesterday. Opened one and did a small swipe. I couldn't resist, even though there may be travel shock. I'll give a quick review to get the ball rolling. Harrison will chime in after I deliver his stash in a few days. To me, the initial impact is a sweet tobacco with raisin following quickly on the heels. This is rich, heady, reminds me of film images of fine gentleman's clubs. This blooms on the skin. The warmer it gets, the richer the scent becomes. The dry vanilla and bourbon add depth and heat, and the roasted tea pulls the tobacco forward without adding smoke. I'll stop here and review again in a few days.
  20. GOBSMACKED!!!!! That Weenie parcel was beyond, well..beyond, over the top, PERFECTION! Thank you, Darlin'!

    Haystack

Oh my goodness godess Agnes! Flipping my proverbial lid! Coconut, maybe tossed in sparkly-fine sugar, chocolate, and what seems like (to my nose), not amber, but Aja. Let me add, and this is a verrrrrry good thing, I've been rolled in a Mounds Bar!! Yummmmmmmm. On application: coconut and a milk chocolate combo, very creamy truffle-like. 30 minutes: lost the chocolate, but the coconut/Aja-like scent is a lovely mix. One hour: less coconut/Aja-like scent has morphed into a creamy almost white chocolate Two hours: same as at 30 minutes
  22. You betcha, tink! Making some tomorrow evening. Gather in and grab a bowl!
