Polly Pockets!!! I see that one's from 2000, now I had the real hardcore old-school ones from like 1992 and 93. I can't believe they're 20 years old now. Because I was very careful with my toys I bet they'd make me a nice wad of cash but I'd never sell them unless I was literally dying, because they have too much sentimental value. It's getting late over here, and I'm going to have to go to bed soon because I have an early-morning doctor's appt before work....please let it be that these get posted tomorrow in the daytime! Even without knowing the notes I definitely want the two cupcake ones and the pumpkin batter, if extras exist.

LadyV I once asked Mara for something very similar based on a cheesecake The Cheesecake Factory discontinued years ago (White Chocolate Caramel Latte with an Oreo crust) and I remember her saying she didn't have any cheesecake accords but that may have changed since then.

That sounds very lickable. Want! Are you referring to those dolls that looked like girls in dresses but then you could fold them into a cupcake, with the plastic hat that was frosting and the skirt that was the wrapper? I had the pink one and the green/purple one.

VexedGlory, that is such a beautiful story! It's so sweet to do a PE dedicated to your mom and grandma. I eventually want to do one in memory of my dad but I'm not sure exactly what notes would be right. I'm so curious about that Retro Cupcake one. I know they used to use pineapple in a lot of desserts back in the 50s, and pineapple doesn't really like my skin much, but maybe it's something else.

I'm eyeing the Pumpkin Cake Batter and the two cupcake ones. If it was allowed I'd just reserve Pumpkin Batter right there because I think I know what it's supposed to smell like.

I'm big on the foodies myself. Lots of LP blends have that "sexy-foody" thing going on where the foody elements are blended with nonfoody things like florals, resins and musks. The July collection of all the Bond Girl-themed scents is a good example, like the way Katerina Suit (one of my favorites from that collection) mixes chocolate with leather, tobaccco and resins, but there are many, many more.

Word. Also there is a danger in wearing something like that, in large quantities, in public; it may seem fine when all the attention is wanted and welcomed, but when you throw a creep or two into the mix it becomes seriously scary. Even if they aren't at work, imagine where you may be going afterward. I wouldn't risk it.

Hahahahahaha of course you MUST refer all pumpkin fanatics directly to me. I wear pumpkin whenever I want, all year. I also eat pumpkin all year but that's an entirely different story.

It does annoy me that all the scary gothic types of things I've been into since I could basically talk is suddenly the stuff of hipsters everywhere. Now I'm afraid people think I'm faddy when they're looking the genuine article (and I have pics of me as a kindergartener in a bat costume to prove it!).

Welcome Sukikiryu! I love both Dom and Leather for the confidence boost they give me, though each in a different way. I tend to get more of a "I'm in control, I got this, I can tackle anything" feeling (not to be confused with entitlement or feeling like I control everyone) from Dom, while Leather makes me unusually talkative for some reason. I'm not a very social person by nature so it's good for situations like parties to loosen me up.

I hate the concept of ANY designer babies, genetically engineered or no. I don't understand why people would spend that much money--yes, even if they have it--on surrogates when there are so many children (especially in china of all places) without a loving home who would be thrilled to be adopted. It's partially understandable for people who can't have children but can you imagine how many starving children that money could possibly feed if it wasn't burned like that? Don't even start me on genetic engineering, I think that's crossing over into the territory of playing God and should never be legal.

I know October is going to be a bottle set, no one has to tell me that.

I would love to see something that's like a pumpkin with the first frost having settled on it, like that icy note from Ravenwing's Canadian Cutie over sweet pumpkin flesh...likely just dreaming here.

This really is like a Peony version of the Daisycake I love so much. Wet I get a lot of pink peony, but then that glorious crunchy sugar note--kind of like when you sprinkle a piecrust with sugar crystals--comes through. More of a brown sugar than a white sugar, with a bit of something cakelike underneath. I can't believe I waffled on this one but I'm so glad I got a bottle!
