  1. Aaaaand I'm going to reserve a bottle of Molls' too. FALLGASM. Going to check out now.
  2. Bottles of Bittersweet, Blue, Incandescence and Latte, samples of all the rest. I'm a slut.
  3. Want a Sweetie Pie (pumpkin!!!!!) and a Cafe Delight, definitely. LOVE coffee scents!
  4. Baaaaaa. I never, ever thought I'd wear a perfume based on a goat (cue the sound of empty cans being chewed) but it really smells amaizng. Today I can get away with it because the only straight man on our side of the office is out so there won't be any funny business going on, and I'm not wearing it for the cops because the scent is delicious. I think I actually like smelling raisin bread more than eating it. I'd rather eat currants in bread. Anyway, this is like walking into a room full of freshly baking raisin bread with all that warm yeasty goodness swirled with sugar and cinnamon, then slathered in buttery frosting. Deliciously fattening. Really good cover for the cops too, the creamy and buttery notes disguise them almost flawlessly.
  5. YES. I can't believe this one was almost not mine because I blanked out on checking the new PE thread. But it is. This is a hell of a sexy scent, so if you work somewhere uber-conservative bear in mind that it does fall into that equivalent-of-a-black-lace-teddy category. I lucked out that I don't work in a place like that so I can huff it all day. Initially I get a whiff of coffee, which slides back to reveal this ridiculously amazing black musk that definitely does not go to powder on me like some black musk notes do. In fact, it does the same thing red musk tends to do, which is really warm up the entire blend, except in a more shadowy way than red if that makes any sense at all. The coffee definitely holds its ground though. And the addition of leather and woodsmoke...I have no words. They add a serious depth and edge to the whole thing. Wearing this is like walking outside on an autumn day in a leather jacket, clutching a venti latte and breathing in the smell of woodsmoke. Fanfreakintastic.
  6. I'm wearing this one right now and really aggravated because my coworker's cheap commercial perfume is drowning it out. That lily, though--even with the miasma choking me from a couple feet away I can still smell it. Lush, white, velvety, creamy--exactly what the perfect white lily note should smell like. I keep huffing it like a crazy person. Right now I'm struggling to pick up more notes because of that damnable department store crap. Wait, I think I get the musk now, oh yes if even for half a second, that is amazing. Sadly nostrils have stopped working. Next time I wear this it's going to be in a conflicting-scent-free zone.
  7. I don't amp the cinnamon. At all. Amazing. Now that that's out of the way, I must say how much I adore this because of the mix of indulgent, dark gourmand elements. Because the chocolate and coffee notes are bittersweet it doesn't venture into cloying territory at all, and the coffee especially adds a certain smoky undertone. The honey in this toes the line between innocent and smutty--it definitely is dark, thick and delicious, a perfect match for the equally dark chocolate and coffee. As I mentioned before in my hallelujah at the top, I don't amp the cinnamon. There's just a touch of it to warm up the entire blend but that's it. No cinnnamon death. Verdict: Vosges needs to make a chocolate bar like this.
  8. Mara, I know there was some talk about a rebrew of BlackCat's from last month...is it okay to tack that on or is it not happening till later?
  9. Love this one. The jolt of tart, juicy mandarin is just fantastic; it really asserts itself in the beginning and settles down into a creamy bed of vanilla and meringue. I swear something here smells like a graham cracker crust on me (maybe it's the meringue note); the scent as a whole makes me think of a version of key lime pie where the lime is replaced with mandarin. Definitely a cousin of Darling Catalina but not a duplicate. If you love DC you need both!
  10. May I please add a Snow Leopard to my list? And Mara, no need to rush shipping the bottle of New I ordered the other day--you can just throw it in with the rest of my stuff when I place my order this coming Saturday.
  11. Add a fluffy bunny to my list please! So now I'm down for: 1 Quixotic Chocoatl 1 Dark & Vampy 1 Fluffy Bunny Echoing the request for what's in Snow Leopard, I'm dying to find out!
  12. I want Dark & Vampy, Quixotic Chocoatl (unless there is a chili note) and New. Final answer. Though that may not be all I want once I see the notes. ETA: snapped up a bottle of New before it evades me again. Sorry that this is going to end up in two separate orders, Mara, but I've been waiting for this re-release for ages! And while I'm here, is it okay if I can order on 5/3 (combined PEs with NRs)?
  13. You have no idea, I love those things to death. I love all bats. They're misunderstood but highly useful and clever, just like me. And IMHO no one is ever too old for Stellaluna. Freakin' adorable.
  14. Yes I would like a bottle of the Black Cat Mojo rebrew please!
  15. This is what happens when you go to Florida for a week, you completely blank on the fact that hello new month new PEs. If anyone isn't loving their Black Cat Mojo or Clarissian, you know who to call and it ain't Ghostbusters.

    Peach Sparkle

Ye gods, a peach that doesn't cloy the crap out of me! I've had especially good luck with LP peach (Empress of Persica, Hot Peach Compote, Buttercream Peach) and this is no exception. Not too candylike, fresh and bright peach with a hint of tartness gets bubbly and effervescent mingling with the champagne note. I love how the champagne stays fizzy for a long time after the drydown, at least on me. There is a sweet and slightly creamy backdrop from the sugar/cream nots on the drydown, but the peach and champagne really hold their own the whole way through. It's kind of like the peach version of Bridezilla, which I also love for its marathon fizziness.
  17. This one is a really fresh, uplifting scent; think tropical orchids with droplets of morning dew on their petals, caressed by a cool breeze. It's much greener thank I expected, with an herbal zing from the tea. I tend to lean towards the duskier orchid scents myself, and am not sure whether I'll need more than my sample, but this one still is really pleasant. May reconsider when summer blasts into full force and I need something to take it down a few degrees!
  18. There isn't an LP flower cake I haven't liked (Daisycake, Peony Cake), and this one is no excepetion. Something about the combo of flowers and cake just smells so good. This is not one of those heavy, buttery cake notes (which I also like, but in other blends). It's a light, fluffy vanilla cake to match the pink springy sweet pea, and I definitely get that sprinkle of pink sugar but not overwhelmingly so. It also stays on forever!
  19. I kid you not, this smells exactly, and I mean exactly, like--caramel popcorn jelly beans. I swear Jelly Belly makes these things. It has those same caramelly notes with that lovely buttery undertone wrapped up in something really warm and toasty and irresistible that's like just-popped popcorn or fresh-baked bread. I feel like I'm ingesting sugary carbs every time I smell this; it's that good. Excuse me while I go huff myself.
  20. When did I turn into a Sexologist? Let me find that microscope...
  21. Notes per Linda in the PE thread are spice cake with penuche frosting (penuche: a fudge-like candy made from brown sugar, butter, and milk, using no flavorings except for vanilla), thanks to Wikipedia for the help. And even though I've never had penuche frosting in my life it smells exactly like how I'd imagine it to! This one is the perfect balance of cake that is warmed up by just enough spice, and the creamy caramelly frosting. Sweet enough, but not cloyingly sweet at all. It could definitely be an autumn scent but for those who don't wear fall scents year-round like I do, you could really wear it any time of year.
  22. Welcome BFJ! What are your favorite LP variants out of the ones you have? Out of the permanent ones mine are original, Red and Black. But if you love LP variants keep an eye out for all the limited edition ones that come up because they're all amazing.
  23. Haha thanks! The only thing that would make it better is the caption "I'm a kawaii moth. Your argument is invalid." Mara thanks for cobbling together my two posts to reserve all 4 for me, next time I'll be a little more organized! You know how it goes for us right-brainers.
