  1. Same here, LoveStruck. My mouth (and butt and thighs) love chocolate but not my skin! It does like this one, though.
  2. these look magnificent as usual! A great start to my day!!!!!
  3. Some musks do a soapy thing on my skin, and I love it. The green musk goes that direction for me. Very light and fresh and clean. It smells like showering in the pool shower with an LP bodywash (at someone's house, not the gross one at the public pool or gym, lol). You smell the soap, the plants, the water, and the LP base. This actually has quite a bit of throw on me, and I wouldn't need to use much at all to be deliciously scented.
  4. This is definitely fruity first on. It actually smelled like bananas. i was surprised to look at the notes and find that there were none. After the fruitiness died down, it began to remind me of a scent from my childhood. Then i read that this is an LP/Allumette variant, and it totally made sense. Allumette also reminded me of an unidentifiable scent from my childhood! Would have never figured it out but for this thread though. It's lovely, but the red musk is a little loud on me through much of the dry down. although, after awhile, the fig came out in this rich, beautiful fruitness that made my eyes roll back in my head. Not sure if this is a scent for me though, but I will enjoy my vial!
  5. I didn't have any expectations with this one. Chocolate usually doesn't work for me. In the vial, it was wonderfully foody. There's a coffee shop about three doors down from the Godiva store in my mall, and that's instantly what I thought of when I smelled it, rich chocolate with the hint of coffee brewing in the distance. but the second I got it on my skin...Lord Almighty, this is gorgeous! It's not foody on my skin at all, just a sophisticated fragrance. I don't think people would be able to identify it as chocolate, really. The coffee isn't strong, but like others said, it gives it a bitter edge. Not too sweet, so i think I will try this on the man.
  6. No, not screechy at all! In fact, I barely detect it. Just whiffs of something floral from time to time. The LP base is delicious in this, almost foody! The coconut is creamy and sublte (which makes sense since it's coconut cream) and blends wonderfully with the vanilla patch base. Maybe that's why it seems almost foody. Melons can get loud on me, but I really think the apricot keeps them in check. Beautiful summer scent with asolutely no hint of cops!
  7. The lotus reached out of the vial and smacked me around a little bit and continued to do so for the first half hour or so of wearing. Then it calmed down and i could smell the other floral notes, not much anything else. i'm currently at 2.5 hours, and it's a sheer, gently sweet floral. Like the others, it reminds me of something, but I can't quite put my finger on what. Glass Slipper Light, maybe...? While similar to LP White, I think this one is more floral forward whereas the musk in the White was the star of the show on my skin. I guess that just means I need a bottle of this one too.
  8. Sweet heavenly crap. This is delicious! Creamy coffee with a hint of cinnamon teasing at the edges. The caramel is not as strong as I would have hoped, but it’s perfect for this. Just a hint to sweeten things up. And (to my nose anyway) it’s the light creamy kind, almost bordering on dulce de leche. Then the wonderful vanilla-patchouli LP base. I want to bathe in this and drink it!! The Marine hasn't liked anything I asked him to smell this month. I'm hoping he likes this. I read an article just yesterday that said the Finnish are some of the most voracious coffee drinkers in the world, so fingers crossed...? But even if he doesn't, TOUGH! I'm buying it and he will just have to suck it up!
  9. Yes, JudyO. Nothing is wrong with your sniffer. Like Katz said, we all sense things differently. Actually, my first thought when i put this one was Darling Clementine, which was orange and cakey, so I can see that! After a couple of minutes, I started getting the strawberry and the citrus turned more like lemon to me. I'm getting the tiniest hint of maple. I think that's what's helping with the cake vibe, but it's not taking over. The patch doesn't come across as patch (if that makes any sense) but i can sense it and the amber at the base of this, and it gives it a richness. This is such a happy, summery scent. I wish I had my DHEAS to spritz over it!
  10. How's the brown sugar behaving, Molls? Is it rich and deep like in MRF v2 or lighter and cakey? We have similar tastes, and my buying finger is itching... I'd be curious to see what you think about this at the end of the day!!
  11. I'm having a hard time believing something so light can cover Bang! so seamlessly! In the vial, this took me back to my childhood. We have this snow cone place that makes that when you lean in, it smells like coconut and fruitiness and ice. Such a comforting smell. That's exactly what it smelled like to me. So I was surprised to view the notes and find that there wasn't any coconut! Nevertheless, I got that same smell when i put it on my skin. after a few seconds, i got a blast of lime, like Nutrix said, bright but not stabby. But after few more minutes, the black raspberry really came out, leaving me something like a dense, raspberry poke cake--cakey but heavy with fruity bits. This actually reminds me of Double O but light on the patch!
  12. I get you on the sheer and weighty thing, Luna! The cinnamon is still very present, but the honey and apricot are very bright and keep this from going dark like LP Red. While it is a bright honey, it's still very rich and keeps the sensual feel. I tried it on my wrist only an hour or so before cooking, and I think I washed it off, so I don't really have an idea how this behaves long term. Further testing on that. But I totally agree with you, Katz: a Red for the summer! P.S. It smells like my Pier 1! That is meant as a compliment because every time i walk in, I take the deepest breath and it brings a smile to my face!
  13. I had high hopes for this one, and it lived up to my expectations! In the vial, it was so manly, in a very sexy way. I immediately made the Marine smell it. He said it smelled like his grandmother. (Ignore him. He knows not of what he speaks.) On my skin it is magnificent. Very clean (which i owe entirely to the cedar, i think). I amped the leather note for awhile, but then it melded with the patch and musk into a lovely base. The honey is just barely playing at the edges here. I get absolutely no maple or spice. I don't get any sweetness at all. I don't think it's something I will wear day because it's just a little bit too masculine for me, i will definitely keep my vial because I absolutely love the boysmell!!
  14. Even though others described this as sheer, I knew at first sniff this was going to wear heavy on me. Tea tends to do that on me. This is a rich, floral scent on me with a blast of clear, sweet apricot. The vanilla-sandalwood base wears similarly to Unisexy 2012 on me, but lighter. The addition of the tea almost makes it seem creamy. As it dries down, i get more green tea. It's very sophisticated but youthful at the same time. Such a bright, clean summer scent!

Soooooo...you're recommending this without having tried it...?
  16. I'm yet another lady here whose guy hates foody scents. Doesn't matter what kind it is, he doesn't like it when I smell like food. So I don't really think there is anything that can be done. But that said, the pheros inside or that I wear with them still affect him. i just have to be sure to be close to him, because he's definitely not taking extra sniffs of it. So if you like it, continue to wear it if you want the H&S effect. But like Dolly said, it's extremely diluted, so be careful that you're not using too much phero in an effort to get a stronger scent.
  17. Hearts, girl, those PEs!!! Trying to be good.....
  18. Woo hoo!!!! Love Luna's stories!!
  19. LOL!!! I laughed out loud at that too, Tyvey. I'm glad to say that Heart and Soul never made me do that, but TMI did, minus the emotion. Had to rehome that bad boy!
  20. I'm not entirely sure that the oils would freeze, but don't quote me on that. I only know that some don't. At least at temps that your home freezer can do. I usually carry mine on after experiencing sticky fingers in checked luggage, and they are subject to the carry-on liquid rules (the one quart bag, etc). So I usually put mine in a baggie in my purse. No bubble wrap or anything. (I don't have a lot of things in my purse that will break them.) if I have more than one, i tape them all to each other so they aren't clanging against each other. I usually just screw the lid on very, very tightly. It's been successful for me!
  21. The sale! *Flails* I'm cutting off buying daily coffee now!
