LP Black is heavy on the patchouli.....if you don't care for patchouli, you probably won't care for LP Black..... LAM/BAM sandalwood, on the other hand, has a VERY light scent. VERY LIGHT. Almost "not there" type of scent.....the LAMs and BAMs are all made to be very lightly scented.....and the character of the sandalwood and resins is very different from OCCO Black.....

Yeah, my son was about 4.5 years old when I first starting wearing EoW.....he would come into the bathroom when I was playing mad scientist with my droppers and pipettes and say...."Mom, are you making something STRANGE again?" And then he would pinch his nose and walk out.....rather entertaining......

The scent of EoW kind of lingers in the air after application....I really prefer adding it to my perfumes or using the wonderful OCCO, LAM/BAM line.....

ABSOLUTELY TRUE!! We are the little voice saying....."Oh, go ahead! You'll smell great! You can eat Ramen noodles next month!"

If I don't have a particular idea of what to wear on any given day, I close my eyes and reach. Whatever ends up in my hand is what I wear......

I just had to revive this thread.....I just LOVE this one! It is light and creamy in the forefront, with an undercurrent of mystery running in the background......I think this one will be a candidate for a relaxing weekend with my sweetie this weekend.....

My man had sniffed EoW after drydown, with no cover scent, and was not repelled....he knows I wear pheros (but doesn't always know WHAT I am wearing and WHEN).....and he has even taken part in experiments by sniffing EoW under a perfume on one side and then the perfume straight up on the other.....also, sometimes when I wear one that is laced with cops, if he smells it wet, he'll say....."That one has some ASS in it.....but I LIKE it!"

May be the honey then.....maybe after a while on your skin, it morphs into something unpleasant.....

Well, not every scent works for every person.....some will work with your chemistry, and some just will not.... So, with the gold you couldn't stop huffing yourself but then it turned "repulsive"? I didn't quite understand what you were saying.....just remember that these scents are HEAVY on the copulins, which STINK. If you wear an OCCO and the scent wears down for whatever reason, you may smell cops lingering..... Also, these scents should be allowed to dry down before judging how they smell, because cops DO have a distinct drydown time, and on some people they really do smell when wet.

Yes, amber is one of my favorite notes and before I came to LP, I used to wear plain amber a lot.....it covers EoW quite well.....there are TONS of different ambers out there, and each one has its own character.....the Sugared Amber has several different ones in it, I believe..... Don't worry hun.....nobody here has a problem with people who buy elsewhere.....

Sometimes your body chemistry can change due to hormones or whatever.....I love picking up samples that I didn't particularly care for before and giving them another look just for the sake of trying.....some pf the LP oils age as well, which can cause them to mellow or soften, or even cause some notes to bloom.....just remember that sometimes they smell different if you give them a little shake before you apply....

Well, they smell different, and blend together very well.....to me, OCCO Black is sweeter......LP Black has more vanilla where OCCO Black has a lot of brown sugar......LP Black is FAB, and is just.....well, different than OCCO Black.....it is hard to describe.....if you like darker scents, I would say get at least a sample of Black.....or, if you get a bottle, you can always find somebody who will take it off your hands on the trading post!

Add the new Majmua Sultana to your list too, hun.....it is to die for! Especially for those of us who crave resins!

Another one you may want to try is Naughty on the Nile.....sandalwood, brown sugar, and resins......yum!

I am a lover of the darker scents myself.....if you like combos of honey, fruit, and musk, you may want to try Cheap Girls (it is on sale right now).....LP Black is one of my all-time faves....OCCO Black as well.......Passion and Desire is good......Soiled Dove if it is still available is earthy.....G String is really sexy (honey, leather, musk)......lots of good ones here! As for your feelings about Patchouli, trust me......most of us have come here with pre-conceived notions about what works with our chemistry or not.....the scents here are so artistically blended that you may never look at Patch the same way again!

Just make sure to let the ones with EoW dry down COMPLETELY before you try to cover it.....or you will have bleed through..... Good cops covers include honey (some types), resins, fruits, vanillas, cinnamons, and musks.....

I think I should start an LP Black fan club.....LOL...... While I was visiting my family last week, I had a whole bag of LPs with me.....I wore a couple of different scents, but for the most part, my most-reached for scent was LP Black....I wore it both alone and in combination with OCCO Black....LP Black is absolutely luscious by itself, but when I add OCCO to it......OMG.... I am comforted in knowing that, no matter which scents come and go and sell out, I can always get my LP Black! Hopefully OCCO Black will never be discontinued either!

OH, Black Shield is DA BOMB......it is deep, dark, and resinous, yet a little sweet too....I love it.....
