I will have to dig out my sample of this too, with Fall right around the corner. I didn't dig it the first go-round for the same reasons as you, hearts. This is why I've yet to trade anything away, they keep morphing with time and getting better, lol!

Revisiting this one, it is much sweeter and less flowery than I remember. It's almost like flower nectar instead of straight floral smell. I can picture the pixie on the label flitting from flower to flower like a hummingbird collecting nectar to make the pixie dust. This is what she would smell like after. It's lovely!

If I liked my sample of this last year, I LOVE it now, so much that I picked up a full bottle in the sale. To my nose, this has gotten less powdery cocoa-floral, and has become a sweeter violet, a richer deep chocolate, with the other exotic elements giving it a subtle, spicy sexiness that is just incredible. As it dries down, the cocoa (which smells more like a deep chocolate now) backs off, allowing the violet to mingle in and out with the resins. The resins keep the violet from going soapy or too powdery. Time has been VERY kind to Demimondaine, like tyvey said, it's a knockout!

The new releases all sound amazing, and I just LOVE the pics of everyone's furry (and feathered!) friends. I cracked up at Raq's description of Norm, my mother has a cat just like that! I got a little choked up at Mara's story about Catalina, what a wonderful tribute. I am so glad it's a double month release this time, due to some unexpected surprise expenses, I won't be able to order until next week. I hope that there's at least some trial sizes left!

I use them for me, but when a co-worker stands in the doorway with a puzzled, slightly bemused look on his face and says, "I'm in such a good mood?" Yeah, just like that, with a question mark. All I wanna do is laugh my head off and say, "You're welcome!!"

I'm another who is in it for me, Cougar and whatever magic is in Levitation make me a happy girl. I like the Gotcha! in my Honeyed Love and Fuzzy Wuzzy, but it makes me too ditzy at work, so I save it for weekends and such. Heart & Soul is perfect for me at work, it has a positive effect on everybody.

I am such a sucker for the pink, girly ones!!! Put me down for a candied violet fluff, please.

So I just found my sniffie of this, and tried a small spot on my arm, and waited for teh SEXXXAYY to strut out. Gosh, this is NOTHING like I expected it to be! It smells like a rich, deep golden floral, not a daytime scent for me, but more of a hot date night fragrance. It's definitely sexy and sultry, not skanky at all. The aging of my sniffie has been wonderful to this fragrance, I remember when I first smelled it last year I didn't like it. Now I can see why everyone loves it!

I have a sniffie of this, and do you know what it reminds me of? They used to sell "Christmas Chocolate" at the Lindt store in the '90's. It was chocolate with cinnamon and cardamom, and I always bought bars and bars of the dark version. Wow, this takes me back, even the tobacco, 'cause I used to smoke, hee heee! Now around the holidays, I always look for it, and even ask the Lindt sales guys about it. They always give me puzzled looks, and then when I explain what it is, they are like, "wow, that sounds great, sorry we don't carry it anymore." This year, I'll just stick out my wrist and ask them to smell, and oh, where's that general manager?? I want them to smell,too.

*gasp!* Wow, Ambrosia DID sell out really fast, I think like days after I got my sampler! I wiffle-waffled too long, and it was history! I hope you score a bottle, LV!

Hi Angelica! Wecome!! I totally agree with what BlueBear says about the women's sampler, it has a good representation of the Love Potion line, and contains five phero-enhanced fragrances! Cougar Potion was my first phero fragrance love, and first hits! And don't count out LP Red, even though it doesn't contain pheros, it still gets me a reaction from the guys. Plus, the sampler has different scents, resins, clean and fresh, etc., so you can get a good idea what you really like.

Yea, tyvey!! I think your response to his obvious attempt at intimidation was spot on! I wonder if your next encounter with him will be much better than the first? I bet yes! I wonder how he would respond to something like LFM?

Hmmm, this is totally not what I expected. When I first smelled it out of the vial, it smelled very much like a unisex fragrance. I was not getting any vanilla or marshmallow, just the vetiver and musk. I didn't try Steamy Daydreams, so I can't compare to that one, but that was unisex, right? So just like JD said, I am not judging this one on first sniff, and 20 minutes later, I can smell the marshmallow and vanilla mingling with the musk and veviter. It is not really an overly sweet scent, it has dried down to a fluffy musk scent. Nice!

Oh, Coco Honey! You are a naughy, naughty girl! I'm getting the same results, in the vial I can smell the cocoa, but on my skin, the amber and honey are shoving the cocoa powder out of the way so that they can get down and dirty! *Bow chukka wow wow!*

Wow, I agree with everyone about the chameleon-like quality of this scent. First sniff out of the vial I get a cherry lime drink with a generous shot of rum, I would very much like to try a drink like this, is it Friday yet?? Minutes on my skin it is taking on an evervescent quality, and the rum is backing off. Yes, definitely a fizzy, cherry lime concoction, and then after the dry down, it's like someone pours a little coconut milk into the drink, and tops it off with whipped cream.

SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!! :cat690: :cat690: I was finally able to crawl away from work early enough to pick up my package from the PO today, and this was the one I went for first. I took one sniff, and screamed "MMMMMMM!!!!" Poor dog came running and barking, lol. First sniff, I get the vanilla angel food cake with the sweet pink buttercream icing, it smells DELICIOUS. Now the angel food cake is becoming a denser, richer golden vanilla cake, very similar to the cake note in Darling Catalina. It's totally nommy, so glad I went for it unsniffed. I am wearing this tomorrow with my UN Heart & Soul that I also recieved, should be fun!

That sucks, tyvey! Kinda sounds like he might have been a little jealous of your extra "sparkle"? There's a woman at my job who I'm usually on a very friendly basis with, but she hates me when I wear Cougar. Like every time. Is there any way to find out from someone what he's usually like? Maybe he was just in a foul mood, and it had nothing to do with you.
