The "thick milky, creamy" part is what I haven't been able to get from AVV. Chalk it up to skin chemistry. It sounds good but it just doesn't do that for me otherwise I'd probably own boatloads!! LOL Vanilla/orchid sounds nice. Orchid seems to do well on me... definitely need a sample to try!!!

I haven't tried that one but it sounds really good!! I'll have to get a sample of it and test it out. I had been testing sniffies of AVV and although I am ok with jumping in head first for many scents, that was one that I'm glad I hadn't gone FB. That was why I had asked in a different thread how the OCCO White compared. I figured if someone said that they thought it was super similar I might have to pass on it. Ladies to the rescue though described it enough that I felt good about ordering a FB and I'm glad I did. That one works great on me. ETA: Do you find Stacy that the Fleur de Vanille is heavy floral? In my head just now I pictured Betrothal which is really pretty but way to floral for me. I'm thinking the vanilla cuts it but thought I would ask.

I probably would not have been to tell you anything at all about what different notes smell like until I came here. Standard perfumes could smell good but there was no distinctive notes really. I'm beginning to distinguish more and more now and I love that I can do that. Sometimes, like SLF, I'll still get that general feeling like yeah... sort of like baby powder.... but I've not gone the route of getting anything that is strictly honey so I don't really have anything to compare to and I know that different honeys/honeycomb have a very distinctive "flavor" to them - a theme of which I will need to try more indepth in the near future. When I first started using LPs, my husband thought everything smelled like air freshener of some sort or another. Now that I've used nothing but LPs since April, I'm noticing that although he wouldn't be able to distinguish anything in particular, he's getting better about the associations he equates them to. So I say, let them kiss your pretty powdered bum, NuTrix!! Maybe they'll learn a thing or two from you.

I love vanilla in almost every single scent I've ever tried here but this one just doesn't seem to work well on me. It smells like a fake vanilla candle on my skin which is sad because everyone seems to love it so much. OCCO White, BBM, LP Red, etc. whatever the vanillas are in those, they work perfectly for me but this one I just can't do and I've tried a few times.

Now I know why the stores are always empty of the newly released Twinkies!!! Love the continuation Luna!!! I think I'm beginning to have a thing for Pov.

By last night, Agent XXX had worn off to almost nothing and I decided to do some testing. Since OCCO Black has been highly touted, I rolled it on and I LOVE it. I think I love it better than LP Black!! Mixing the two together, it almost creates a different vibe: Agent XXX is elegant, sweet, light on me. With OCCO Black, it lends a bit more mysterious air. Just a touch darker. It doesn't take much though. I think someone noted that they thought Agent XXX came across quite strong but it doesn't on me. It almost seems sheer. I did roll a couple of dabs of Agent XXX last night before bed. I wasn't allowed to stay sleepy for long!! Interestingly, he noted that I smelled like I still had sugar scrub on me (I've been using Villainess Krakatoa). I guess I could see the correlation. The fact that he didn't compare me to an air freshener may mean his nose is becoming more discerning as well!!!!

Yes!! MRF and LAM are awesome together. I do that a LOT!! I've used Cougar with OW, Cougar with Topper and Cougar with both. All seem to work great together but I generally find my best combo is the Cougar/Topper. SS4W generally gets such consistent and happy hits, I only use it with either the LAM (i.e. MRF and LAM) or with Topper. Generally, I think everyone would say that it's best to keep the complicated blends separate but experimenting will either lead to an experience where you agree "yeah, um, won't be doing that again" or else you find that it works differently and you like it!!! But dang!!! I've heard it quite a bit all over... I need to get some BANG and try that baby out!!!!

I don't know if this is going to sound weird to everyone but I just layered some of this with OCCO Black and I like it!!!

I decided on this for the day and I couldn't agree more with you on both. I get absolutely nothing stinky from the Sexpionage. It's crazy but it is a cross between LP Red and roses!! There's just a hint of cinnamon and very light honey. The rose is not overpowering either and sometimes it can come across on me that way. This is blended so well, you get bits and "thoughts" of notes but nothing really pops out to take over. It's not what I expected at all but so pretty!!!

I have to say I really like this one a lot but the banana doesn't last long on me. At first it's creamy banana and tropical fruit. For it to seem so light, I got no cops smell whatsoever (didn't in Agent XXX either) which is awesome. I could probably roll this on and be ready to walk out the door pretty quick. After it dries, its really a nice light tropical scent. Can't distinguish banana per se but it's sweet and lush. It's a great hot weather perfume. I'm thinking this might layer nice. I'll have to try the suggestion of smooshing this with Sandy Bottom!!

That's too bad that it didn't work for you Halo. It's really sad when something that sounds so good (yeah, speaking to you Frambuesa) just doesn't want to work on your skin. Is it a certain note for you that tends to go the wrong direction?

I love SS4W too!! This one has the most consistent and interesting reactions. I get total happy vibe, everyone chatty and feeling all good at work and then my husband equates it with sex. LOL This and Cougar, I probably could not do without. And the scent reminds so much of rich, expensive soap... it is indeed a surprise attack!! I've got it in spray,Elizabeth, and it's really long lasting. I only put on perfumes right before I leave for work around 5:30 am and you get the great diffusion all day. 5:30 pm was when my husband commented on it. At that point, I couldn't smell it on me at all but it was still there for him.

I'm sniffing this all over again today and although yesterday it was all about me, husband and an old vintage desk. Today, I'm kind of thinking that maybe this COULD be a good work scent. It kind of reminds me of the ol' boys club of cigars, whiskey and stories of the day. In the right circumstance, I could envision wearing this to bolster respect, camaraderie and prestige. Didn't think I'd pull that out as an option but this is becoming a very versatile scent in my mind!!

I got my sample of this today too!! I like it in a funky sort of way. LOL I agree with you Hearts... I've never lived anywhere to have a basement but the wet sidewalks after a rain, that I know! I'm going to experiment and mix it with some of my rainy scents and see what happens!

No one knows like Mara's nose, that's for sure!! I just think its such a great thing that she allows everyone to come up with ideas and themes and take that and turn it into reality. Who else does that?

oooh, a secret.... can't wait!!! This turned out really perfect QG. You and Mara created a perfect beach scent that anyone can wear. DD, you definitely need to get this and wear it with your headphones on. I think this one is absolutely perfect with the beach sounds!

I can't add much that everyone else hasn't already said. This was the one I was most looking forward to. I can picture being on the beach but it's not necessarily a tangy scent of ocean like I can envision in Mermaids of Atlantis. It's more a sense of sweet fresh breezes coming off the water, linen, warm sand between your toes. Bright sunshine with just enough warmth to feel comfortable. It's as lovely as I could have imagined. I think I will be wearing this one a lot for the rest of the summer!!

First, I got my box and it felt like every major holiday was lovingly wrapped in a brown box. I was ripping open paper like a five year old!!!! Ok, so I rolled this on and I don't even know where to begin. While wet, it almost smelled like a chocolate alcoholic drink on me - vodka. Like one of those little chocolate bottles that are filled with liqueurs and you get swirls of chocolate mixed with the alcohol. Now, as it's been drying down, I get rich sweet cigar room feel, a bit of incense, the chocolate has moved to the background a bit. I can picture leather chairs and bookshelves. I don't know whether I want a drink right now or I want to take advantage of my husband in a smoking jacket on a big vintage executive desk. Unfortunately, I have none of those things except the husband part and he's currently at work. So instead I'm sitting here huffing my arm because this stuff is amazing!!! Don't think I'll be wearing this one to work but I know EXACTLY when I want to be using it. Hopefully my scent impaired husband will find it as much of a turn on as I do right now!!! edited to correct my spelling errors while sniffing arm.

Completely agreed. There is NO comparison between the two now that I have both. OCCO SLF comes across rather sweet and musky now when I wear it. Jouir De, after the hour dry down, is very sensual and sexy, slinky and smutty in the best possible way with a tinge of floral.

I know, right!!! Who knew??? LOL Obviously, I waited long enough for dry down of Jouir De. Otherwise, I'm not sure he would have said.

I kind of get the baby powder thing with SLF too. A sexed up baby powder. Then again, I'm beginning to think that the men in our lives have no sense of smell. Mine thought Sneaky Clean smelled the same as Jouir De. LOL
