    Totem: Bunny

Right, that's it- now I need it.
  2. Strums fingers while impatiently waiting for more elephant reviews... Luna's description makes it sound very intriguing.

    Totem: Bunny

There goes that synaesthesia again Eggers... I totally know what you mean- one of the sounds with the worst texture for me is the sound of someone sweeping a concrete pavement. It feels like running your skin across rough carpet. Horrible. This one sounds so clean and lovely. I want the tiny tiny baby rabbit head smell that Blackcat got.
  4. Just tested this one. My verdict: The golden scent of childhood happiness on a warm, carefree spring day.
  5. Brains are very weird. I'm gonna hypothesise that the orange-y notes are doing that to me. I wish I had some other orange toned perfumes for reliable scientific comparisons...
  6. Have just tested my bottle for the first time, after letting it age a little. It reminds me of my childhood, attending parties with cake and jellybeans. First few moments: strongly medicinal, with a hint of spice, reminds me a bit of the red jelly beans that never tasted very nice when I was a kid. But- it quickly starts settling down, and the scent has been morphing into a sweet, medium-bodied pink and orange scent, with cakey notes wafting through it. Nice. So for me this is now a lightly orange flavoured cake, with a layer of buttery cake batter frosting instead of icing, decorated with dozens and dozens of pink and orange jelly beans (which I did enjoy as a child). ETA: Don't know how this happened, but this now has a slight hint of liquorice on me in addition to the pink and orange scent. Where on earth is that coming from? It's not at all overpowering, so it doesn't ruin things. But it is spooky and odd.
  7. Lol, JudyO, enjoy your hovercraft (and welcome to your LP addiction)! I haven't worn this phero in a while, so I put on some Flying Potion the other day. I've noticed that I get a lot of compliments and people looking and smiling at me when I wear this. It seems to put people around me in a nice happy mood when they're near me too. A couple of times I've worn a little UN Lace with my Flying Potion, and that seems to really get people's attention, in a good way- it really feminises the mix, and makes it extra fun. Thinking about it, I would compare Levitation plus Lace to my beloved Lumina, in that it makes you feel sparkly and adored, except this mix can result in a headache for me, due to the A-nol, whereas Lumina never gives me one (LOVE that phero).
  8. Was your coffee shop experience with La Femme Noir or La Femme Mystere? So far I've only ever tried La Femme Mystere. And I definitely know what you mean about being in a separate dimension from others. It's a slightly spooky blend in a way, which really fascinates me. It seems to have a strange kind of power that borders on being slightly supernatural at times. But I have given up trying to figure it out, because by its very nature it is unfathomable. I simply try to make sure I don't overdo it, and then sit back and see where it takes me. I think perhaps more than any other blend I've tried, your frame of mind and general energetic frequency can have a huge influence on how this will work with you. Its a faery glamour blend, with a darker twist to it.
  9. I have very high hopes for this one, sounds delightful. I also have that song "Lotion" by Greenskeepers going through my head: "It puts the lotion on its skin, or else it gets the hose again... do do do..."

    Totem: Seal

And now I need this one too, because there's a NOMMABLE BABY SEAL on the label. I love the idea of combining the watermelon with florals, vanilla and musk. Sounds gorgeous.

    Totem: Deer

I feel very connected to deer, and I really want this one. But I'm wondering whether the Musk ambrette will be likely to make it one of those slightly "dirty" fragrances that I am afraid of. Everything else in it looks perfect.
  12. I love baby ellies! The thing about elephants is that no matter how old or young they are, they always seem both old and young at once. I'm not sure what storax smells like, or African katrifay. Would this be a softer scent, or a very full-bodied one?

    Totem: Ducky

This one sounds light, sensual and beautiful. Plus, I haven't got any baby ducks in my collection yet...
  14. Snuggables! But I hope that log isn't too high up. If that cubbling is like my cat he'll roll over and fall off in his sleep. This scent sounds very intriguing. Very harmoniously balanced, yet somehow mysterious.
  15. Wants. Baby goaty picture must become part of perfume collection. Out of curiosity, how does the grape/raisin note affect or fit into this fragrance? For some reason I'm getting a scent image of a slight tart sourness, although this is probably the residue of a long lost scent memory. Either way, I'm getting me a baby goat!
  16. Interesting experience Olderbutwiser! Considering the fun but slightly freaky "floating carpet swan" reaction I get from LFM, this is why I have yet to even consider LFN. Based on your experience, I can imagine myself transformed into a carnivorous serpent-swan. Although, now that I think about it, that might just come in handy sometime...
  17. SO MUCH GORGEOUSNESS! I am overcome with excitement at the utter gorgeousity of this totem collection. I am currently dribbling on my keyboard and crying over the fact that I WANT THEM ALL but can only buy some of them, sob. Luna's lovely description makes Lamb an essential (only a psychopath could resist such a "lambie-pie"). Am also dribbling disgustingly over Panda, Bunny, Deer and Goat, just for starters. ETA: Now I am really in trouble. Every time I look at another label and see the sweet baby animal face staring back at me I realise I need one of those too. I'm going to have to join a coveter's anonymous group at this rate.
  18. Think I'm gonna be gettin' me some Topper!
  19. OH MY GOD! Where have I been that I just noticed these were up? So excited, so excited, so excited... I can't see the labels, but I love the animal theme! Those goats are the most gorgeous creatures- I've always wanted some mini goats as pets. I'm most intrigued by what the deer perfume will be like, as I feel very connected to deer.
  20. I think I've found it can intensify any mood I'm already in, so while I haven't found it makes me cranky I have become so intensely quiet and inwardly focused that it has freaked other people out, and may have seemed grumpy to others. I definitely get the fascinated gawking thing Eggers & Nutrix talked about (though with none of Nutrix's authority vibe). And yeah, Eggers is right- it gets uncomfortable the way people will gawk at you sometimes, like you're a fascinating object more than a person. When I wear LFM, sometimes I feel like I've transformed into a beautiful, elegant white swan, and I'm floating gracefully through the world as it goes on around me. But it's like people are gathering round, pointing and exclaiming, "Look at that swan over there! What is it doing here, floating around on the carpet? Maybe we should catch it and release it back into the wild..."
  21. I've been trying to figure out why I have a weird sort of relationship with this one, when it works so well for others. At first it was over-use, then I realised as StacyK said that less is definitely more. In some ways I love the results, in other ways it continues to puzzle me. Now I know what it is- this one definitely lends an air of feminine mystery, quiet grace, natural beauty and a husky whisper of subtle sexiness. BUT- it is an intense and serious blend. At least for me it is. Even at low doses in La Sylphide (which is BRILLIANT), it does not feel light on me. It's a sexy social blend, but somehow it's got a darker, deeper, more unfathomable personality than all the others. And I am by nature intense, serious, introverted, dark, thoughtful and secretive. So this intensifies my natural personality signature to the point of it being easily too much. I feel sensuous and elegant when wearing it, but often seem unapproachable or aloof. People seem fascinated, but not encouraged to socialise. I may have to experiment with naughtily adding a little Lace or something when wearing it. I wouldn't usually think about doing this with a complex blend like LFM, but it makes me a creature of the shadows, and I need to add some rays of light. Has anyone else ever felt this way?
