  1. This is really interesting to me- it seems that people who don't notice much with Lumina respond really well to Cougar. On the other hand I adore Lumina, but couldn't care less about Cougar. Mind you, I've only tried it a couple of times- still, I felt nothing at all, and didn't notice much in terms of effects on others. Yet basically every other blend I've tried so far has worked well for me.
  2. This is so lovely. At first the violet blooms into this juicy bright fragrance on the skin, then it settles into a smooth and creamy, slightly powdery, velvet textured scent. It has a light, floaty presence that is grounded by a subtle hint of rich, sensual depth. It has a naturally elegant, supremely feminine presence that feels innocently decadent and pure all at once. It makes me want to wander around in long swishy antique dresses, using lady words like "dither", "fain" and "buttered crumpets".
  3. Yep, I've successfully worn it in La Sylphide when careful not to spray too much. But UN LFM = Carpet Swan for me. I wouldn't want to get too close to a swan either- those beasts are damned scary close up!
  4. Tyvey, just read about your experience. This is exactly what LFM does to me a lot- it makes people simultaneously fascinated by me, and unwilling to come anywhere near me. Sometimes I can almost feel this weird vibe emanating off of me when I wear it- it's like a dark, mysterious, completely unapproachable, femininely powerful, aloof, superior energy that really intimidates people. I feel like some kind of Morgana-like figure when it wears this way on me- I'm really interesting, but not someone you'd want to be near for long, or feel comfortable speaking to. I'm a soft and feminine person naturally, not intimidating at all, but I am an introvert, and I feel like this blend has some strange magic that picks up on and amplifies whatever mood, role or personal construct I'm operating under at the time. I have actually caught people staring at me out of the corner of their eyes while remaining a good, safe distance away from me. It's fascinating stuff, a dark faery glamour of a blend, but so strange and powerful.
  5. The body heat really helps the oil-based pheros to disperse, but I've always used my social sprays mainly on clothes more than skin, for increased lasting power, and they work great. I started doing this when I noticed that my spray perfumes hung around longer on my clothes than skin. I figured the pheros would too- I think they do. With the social sprays, if people can inhale them, they'll be working- so you want to just put them wherever they'll get the most snorfling value. Lumina's got quite a few ingredients, so if you were going to try adding anything else I'd start with either straight cops, LAM or BAM. I've personally added extra DHEAS a couple of times, as well as cops now and then, to good effect. Honestly though, I think you just need to start by really experimenting with upping the dosage. If you've only ever used one spray you haven't given it a good go yet- try 2, then 3, then 4. Unlike some other spray UNs I've got (like Lace) I've never crashed with Lumina before. Good luck, and have lots of fun with it!
  6. LoveStruck, the other thing I'd be doing as well as upping your sprays would be to consider spraying Lumina in places where it will get the most exposure to the air, rather than focusing on places like the torso. I spray this one exclusively on hair/clothes and neck/décolletage. I have the 60/40 alcohol & silicon version, and I think it really adheres well to clothes, and works well this way. As it's a social spray you want to get it as out there as possible.
  7. Hmmm, okay Lovestruck. For me, (and I've dedicated a good amount of testing time to Lumina), I notice these types of effects: Self-effects (often subtle, but definite): Positive, upbeat, relaxed mood Increased desire and ability to socialise Increased self-confidence in a gracefully soft kind of way (I feel more self-love and acceptance, but there's no cockiness or swagger) Effects on others: Increased happy & light-hearted vibe Fun, slightly flirty or very connective behaviour Strong desire for others to engage with me (they seem to fall in love with the social interactions they have with me) Literally lights up people's eyes Increased touching (even from relative strangers) Increased affection and indulgence The positive vibe you emit really leaves a strong impression on them I've been using Lumina both in UN strength, and in scented form (1/3 strength of UN). With the UN I use between 2 and 4 sprays- it has always worked. If you're being fairly conservative I'd say go for more, if you're a fogger, I'd say try less. I have even used 5 or 6 sprays a couple of times and never OD'ed. With the 1/3 scented form I tend to use 2 or 3 sprays, plus 1 or 2 UN to back effects up. I think I could use less than I do and it might even work better, but I'm a bit excessive like that. I don't take much notice of how it effects my family- I think with social blends that are more light and upbeat and flirty like Lumina you are perhaps less likely to see strong effects on family than with deep bonding blends, etc. Could be wrong there though- I don't really care how it effects them, I'm using it to increase my socialisation at work, etc.
  8. I love TH for work. I love it by itself, and I love it with EST or DHEAS (or both, naughty me). It gives a calm, affectionate, friendly vibe, and seems pleasing to everyone. I feel quite nurtured and indulged by people when wearing this one. There's also a bit of the glittery-eyed effect happening, which I've come to associate with particularly strong affection, warmth and connection vibes of any kind (sexual or social). Really good versatile blend.
  9. It is indeed CloneClub, and I'm back to squee over getting another shipping notice!

    Totem: Deer

Just tested this one today. I LOVE it! I knew I would, because deer are one of those animals I feel really close to, and this scent perfectly encapsulates the delicacy, grace, and soft, pure beauty that they embody. I'm not getting the clean laundry note or greenness that others have described. To me this is a translucent pale golden yellow scent, with a light feathery texture. It evokes the presence of delicate flowers, without actually being fully floral. It's like wandering through a meadow, lying down amongst the soft, damp, earthy grass and pale wildflowers, and closing your eyes. You can hear the wind whispering through the trees, and the meditative murmuring of bees all around you, and the sunlight feels warm on your eyelids, and the breeze runs its ethereal fingers across your skin... Got a bit carried away there, but that's what this scent feels like to me. It reminds me a lot of Butterfly Kisses, which I also love. It's a softer, sheerer scent than the Totem: Bunny, which it feels somewhat connected to- hmm, that's another scent which also feels yellow to me and green to others.
  11. Very true StacyK, and the thing about Asswholes is they're always spouting shit... Now, I've returned to wearing this phero again lately, after taking a break to explore other wonderful things. It truly will always be one of my absolute favourites. When I want to be admired and adored, and complimented like a gorgeous goddess, this is what I wear.
  12. Woohoo! I've got a great big juicy package of LPs currently wending its way towards me. So exciting. It really never gets any less exciting, does it? And a big thank you to Heather for taking the time to fix my stupid order mistake!
  13. I feel I need to come back here and express my undying love for this scent. Of all the perfumes I own I think I've received more compliments on this than any other (though perhaps the phero is lending a hand there with the desire to share). It is so unique, mysterious and strangely beautiful. People comment on the unusual nature of the scent I'm wearing, but they absolutely love it to pieces. One woman followed me all through a store, raving about it. It feels almost a little otherworldly to me.
  14. It really is Nutrix. I love using this one for work now, because it really lends a friendly but calming, harmonising vibe to the day. I've noticed when things are a little stressful that this soothes the work tension for women particularly. And men are nice and friendly and chatty. Sometimes I add a little spray of EST though, because I can't quite subconsciously shake the feeling of giving off boy vibes. And that's just not me. However, I can honestly say that's the first time it's made someone seem so overtly sexually attracted to me. And it can't be the boy vibes, because the fish & chip man is definitely not gay (and I definitely do not look like a man, lol). Once I caught him having a good long geeze at a pic of a very well endowed woman in a very small bikini. His eyes were so glued to her chest he didn't notice his female co-worker trying to talk to him. The worst part was that the computer he was viewing this on is in a corner of the store that can be seen by all staff and customers. That night I felt a little icky before I ate the fatty fried food.
  15. I've tried to stay away from the NRs mostly due to limited funds and wanting to catch up on older things first. But I must drop in to belatedly say how supremely beautiful this collection looks, and how much I thoroughly enjoyed reading Luna's descriptions. I particularly loved the stories accompanying Incandescence, Flutterby, Bittersweet, Ceremony, Rouge and Latte. Love how you can convey in a short snippet the sense of a fascinating story that continues on in the imagination where your words end.
  16. Strangest hit ever: I had on 3 sprays of this when I went to pick up some naughty fish and chips from the local takeaway the other evening. I'd been doing cleaning and organising things all day, so had on some old clothes. I'd also managed to put a large smear of black paint down the front of my shirt, and had washed my hair and let it dry without styling it (which meant out of control waving curliness). I had on no makeup either. The older Italian man who owns the shop served me with a very appreciative eye, and kept calling me darling and "my lovely", etc. He doesn't know me, so it wasn't familiarity, and he's not usually so effusive with people, from what I've observed. When my order was ready he called out "Here it is, beautiful!", and told it was his pleasure when I thanked him, and to come back soon. Would never have thought of this as an attractant.

    Defrosted

Yep, I converted to spray with perfumer's alcohol, and I spray it more on my clothes/hair than skin. It definitely lasts longer for me that way, and because it's such a gorgeously soft and clean scent it doesn't become too overpowering- it just wafts gently, like a pale, sweet cloudy breeze as I move around throughout the day. I find it really calming and refreshing.
  18. Oooh Beccah, I love your idea of using this to sweeten people. I love making honey jars- so simple, but so potent. I've just ordered my first bottle of this and am really looking forward to using it now. Plus I've started trying to add just a hint of fragrance to some of my plentiful collection of UNs, so I don't go overboard, and have noticed this is a scent people seem to really like for that purpose, because it's neutral but delicious.
  19. Okay, you're all encouraging me to take the plunge and Bang away.
  20. This one's sounding more and more intriguing to me. It still seems a bit more unfathomable than the other scents, based on the reviews so far. BTW- Olderbutwiser, I am loving your new Frida Kahlo avi.
  21. Yep, for me Lace at high doses drains my energy like a psy-vamp, and gives me a terrible headache. Damned A-nol- I loves it and hates it.
  22. You know I've never really paid much attention to the phenomena before, but now I think of it, when I use spray phero-scents (and I have a lot of these) I'm more inclined to end up feeling exhausted later on than with the oils. I'm sure that, like you Cougarific, I'm getting a snootful.
  23. I have a Bang spray, but I'm too afraid to pull the trigger, lol.
  24. Great minds think alike Nutrix- I've been thinking of converting my Breath of Nirvana into spray form as well! I would think the baby goat is packing quite a lot of cops though...
