  1. Thank you Eggers! I am really glad this one is in the permanent collection. And yeah, the BI version sounds interesting too - but the SS4W phero seems a lot more versatile to me!
  2. I am glad I didn't order a FB of this (although it should be in the sampler pack, right?) because all the 'clean' and 'fabric softener' comments do make it sound like something that's not quite right for me. Of course, I'm wearing (and liking) Rocket Fuel as I type this, which is pretty much the opposite of 'clean'!
  3. Testing my sample vial of Mara's Rocket Fuel III (with Super Sexy for Women). In the vial it smells very sweet, and brown sugar; nice, sweet, something I would love to pour over a pancake. On me, very quickly, about 80% of the sweetness disappears and it turns very very dark! If this version III is lighter than II, I have a difficult time imagining how dark II must have been! It's still nice, not as edible (which I don't mind). I can understand the comments about smoke and /or tobacco notes; it does not smell like smoke exactly, but there is definitely something smokey about it, something very deep and dark. Sort of like smoked maple syrup, or toasted brown sugar as someone upthread said. It's dark and heavy and I am glad I applied sparingly; it's comforting and warming but in too large quantities would be a little overwhelming for me. Even though I am not 100% sure I love this scent, I am already considering ordering more of it. Somehow there is something very fascinating about it. I have a feeling this is going to be one of those that will grow on me. I've not had the opportunity to test the phero effects on others yet, but as for selfies: I feel quite happy and cheerful, optimistic. Will post more when I've had more of a chance to wear this around other people.
  4. PP being Popularity Potion and LFM La Femme Noire, is that correct? I suspect so: I have only been playing with pheros for about two months now I think so I don't have much to go on yet, but it certainly appears to be so. I had a very strong reaction to Gotcha! the first time I tried that (my head was spinning for hours) but nothing like that with any of the others I've tried - but of course, I have only tried maybe 4 (5?) different pheros so far. I've been using Gotcha! in quite small doses (although much more than I had on of the Cougar) from time to time, just a dot or two from the unscented roller bottle, and now I don't notice much more than that it mellows me out a bit and perhaps makes me tend to overshare slightly... But I am cautious of THDOC (especially alpha-THDOC) now, because Halo said that that is what probably caused the effect in Gotcha! Which is why I had sort of planned to stay away from both Popularity Potion and La Femme Mystere, because they both have some form of THDOC in them (although not alpha I think, and from what I've read the beta can have a different effect). But I couldn't resist the description of La Sylphide, which has LFM in it, so I guess I'll find out in a while! Since Cougar is a proprietary blend I have no idea if it has THDOC in it, but it is certainly possible. I wonder though, if it could have something to do with the actual scent as well; it is lovely and gorgeous, just very.... alien to me, almost. Not congruent with me at all. The effect was not really physical, like with Gotcha!, but more psychological. If wearing a perfume (even apart from pheros) that agrees with you can make you feel better, more at ease, more like 'you', then wearing something that simply does not 'fit', no matter how lovely, can perhaps make you feel out of sorts. Thank you for thinking this through with me btw! It's interesting to hear other's experiences, and very good to know that I am not the only one who has to be very very careful with amounts....
  5. I was wearing one small swipe from the sample vial rod, applied to one wrist then smushed on the other - I don't think it would have been possible to wear less! (ever since the first time I tried Gotcha! I've been extremely careful about amounts)
  6. I'm just wondering in what form the Pheromas sample would come; I'm very new to LP, this is my first November here! (edited to correct spelling)
  7. I love how a scent can make you laugh! Maybe combine the two; have some fun with ice cream in the bedroom? I have worn (and loved) several almond scents that reminded me of marzipan etc, this sounds like a very interesting analogue!
  8. Huh, that is weird; I tried to edit my earlier post here, and instead it shows up as a regular reply, quoting my orginal post. What I meant to ask was: Does anyone know if the stuff like DHEAS will still be in an alcohol base, but in the little sample Pheromas dropper bottles? Or something else all together?
  9. Glad I'm not the only one! Like with Gotcha!, I was so convinced I would love it, and slightly sad that I didn't. Cougar Potion doesn't make me feel dizzy or light-headed in the slightest - it's hard to explain, more like my brain is having trouble coming up with the right words or the proper responses to something because someone is talking, interrupting my train of thought. Like on a radio, when two channels are too close together and they interfere with each other, and you can't really make out either one properly.
  10. This sounds really promising! It also sounds like it would mix well with, say, LP original - does anyone who has already tried it have any ideas on what to cover / blend it with?
  11. So, is this the right thread to review the scented Cougar Potion? For some reason, the threads on scented vs unscented (Stone) Cougar are really confusing to me! That might just be the effect of the Cougar, though.... Anyway, I tried the scented Cougar Potion a couple of times now, and I am.... Not sure, somehow. The scent is nice, very very nice, lovely and light and sophisticated (it smells expensive to me, there is something very luxurious about it) but it keeps feeling like a scent that has nothing to do with me. Like there is a stranger sitting on my wrist - a beautiful and wonderful smelling stranger, sure, but not anyone who is part of me. And the self-effects are sort of similar; I feel ok but slightly out of sorts while I wear it. It also makes me slightly confused and ditzy. I seem to have trouble articulating what I want to say (or, well, write actually) when wearing it. I have a feeling that this one does not bring out the best in me, which is surprising because I do tend to be slightly cougar-ish in my men preferences! The few men I've been in contact with while wearing this were friendly and courteous (painters paiting our apartment building's hallways and doors) but no more or less so than when I was wearing other scents/pheros, I think. I'm going to hang on to my sample of course, and experiment some more.
  12. I ordered on the 5th as well I think, and received my shipping notice today. (trying reaaaaaally hard not to stalk my mailman already - it's going to take a while to get here still!) Does anyone know if the single molecules (I am thinking of DHEAS) are available as Pheromas samples as well? And for the ones that are normally sold as sprays, do they come as oil in dropper bottle in that case too?
  13. I think it might be the DHEAS in Perfect Match that makes people so absolutely delighted to see me! It's rather fun - I might try some DHEAS on it's own. Would this be useful in an oil too, or does it really work best in a spray?
  14. This is just sounding better and better! I adore sandalwood, and the nutmeg sounds really interesting. Would anyone say it has any sweetness in it too, or is it more of a 'dry' or woodsy scent, overall?
  15. Vladmyra, what a gorgeous description! Now I'm kind of sorry I did not order a FB.... Oh well, perhaps there will be some left in january!
  16. I really like the effects of this one! The scent I was not too sure about at first; the first whiffs were for me a little bit too sweet and a bit too milk-chocolatey; I am afraid I prefer to eat chocolate and not smell it on my skin. But after a while a slightly deeper, softer scent came out to play (even more so & faster the second time I tried it) that felt a bit more like something I could wear. Still not the most 'me' scent, but rather nice all the same. But, like I said, I love the effects! Both times I wore it, people seemed very friendly; a woman touched me on the arm enthousiastically only a minute or so in a conversation, and she is not someone I am usually very close with (rather the opposite). It made me feel very calm and level-headed and sensible myself, like nothing could disturb my peace of mind. The couple of kids I was in contact with today seemed to like it (and me) as well; they were quite relaxed and calm (not climbing all over me like the one time I came near them when wearing Bonded with Perfect Match) but paid more attention to me than other times; they can be easily distracted sometimes, which translates in not hearing what you've said - or rather, not even noticing that you have said anything at all. With Kitten Nip, they were listening to me, perhaps not agreeing completely but I felt there was much more respect there, somehow. I have not tried Leather (yet), but from those discriptions, Mother's Little Helper is giving me the effects I would expect from Leather. Very interesting phero, I have a feeling this one flies under the radar a little bit, but I think it could well become a staple for me!
  17. I've tried BAM in the Sandalwood & resins flavour a couple of times now, and I am liking it more and more! No effects on others that I have noticed, but I kind of have a shortage of people (men) to try this out on, unfortunately. But it makes me feel very content and relaxed, sort of loose-limbed and heavy in a nice way. If I were a cat, I would be purring. The Sandalwood & Resins variation is really very lightly scented: I can smell the cops in it quite strongly for at least 15 minutes or so. Afterwards the Sandalwood takes over and makes it a very soft, gentle, almost dry, woody smell with just a tiny hint of sweetness from the cops - without that minute touch, it could really be a men's scent. Because it feels so near-masculin to me it almost feels odd to wear it myself, but it pairs beautifully with all kinds of other scents (like it was intented to do, of course). I do think I might like the vanilla variant of Bam a little bit better than this one, but I have only tried that one out once, so I'm waiting a bit with deciding.
  18. LOL, you took the words right out of my mouth! Of course, I am a spring chicken here of only 41.... Completely agree! Like you, Irish Eyes, I came here for the unscented pheros (just a month or so ago, maybe six weeks) but I'm quickly learning that the scented pheros work SO much better for me - and the unscented perfumes are a treasure trove in themselves! The original line, like Dolly reccomended, is terrific. After sampling some, I have already ordered a full bottle of LP Pink and Original, and if I can stretch the budget enough this month I will probably order a bottle of Red, too.... Welcome to the forum, and enjoy the experimenting!
  19. Oh wow, that sounds stressful - but I am glad you've found a place, and I have heard great things about Portland! Sending you smooth-moving vibes (and keeping fingers crossed that Jessica & co will come with!).
  20. LOL, whereas for me, the word 'soapy' made me breathe a sigh of relief; at least one of the new releases that sounds like it's not going to be for me!
  21. For some reason I can 'see' all these together in a drink, but I have much more difficulty imagining how the combination would smell!
  22. La Femme Mystere never really drew me so far, but the notes in this one sound SO gorgeous...
