  1. I really like the scent; it's quite sheer on me, sort of a soft haze of vanilla and musk, very pleasant. Very subtle and sheer; ever so slightly creamy perhaps. There is nothing masculin about it to my nose, but nothing particularly feminine either. But the phero made me completly ditzy and I sort of forgot what I was talking about in the middle of sentences... Granted, I hadn't had much sleep the night before I tried it, but the effect was such that I'm a little wary to try again! Oddly, I do much better with the TMI phero. But perhaps I should give Seer another chance, when I have had enough sleep.
  2. Thank you! I think I might use a tissue or something (I am always tempted to use a bit of the clothes I am wearing for that sort of thing, but I have learned by now that that is Not Smart). Not all the caps are tight: I now have a wooden side table that smells beautifully of Fairy musk... (I had put a vial on there for testing later; I am SO glad it wasn't something with cops or one of the more heavy-duty pheros! )
  3. My big January order arrived yesterday! And even before the February update; if I get my ass in gear with sniffing the samples, I can order some more FBs along with the February sampler. Do this month's sample vials seem different to anyone else? I am having a difficult time getting the caps off, and the wands seem more squared off at the tip (and a bit scratchy sometimes). I can already tell I am going to have to get a LOT of bottles though!
  4. Ieks, meant to edit my previous post and accidentally used 'quote'... Sorry!

    Orangzipan

Oh drat, this did not work on me at all. In the sample vial, it is lovely; nutty and sweet and yummie, like orange marzipan with a little something extra (a bit of syrup?). But on my skin the marzipan and the syrup disappear; the marzipan within seconds, the syrup manages to last a couple of minutes but then it's gone as well. What I am left with is something that smells like musty orange peel; it's oddly flat in scent and doesn't seem to change at all anymore after that. I guess my skin ate most of the deliciousness - such a pity! I think I'm going to hang on to the sample vial though, because the label makes me smile and the scent is the vial really is rather yummy. Hmmm, on second thought; I might give it a try in a scent locket some time...
  6. I really like this, but I am not sad I didn't go FB on it; a little goes a long way with this and I'll happily use up my sample, but I don't think I need more. At first, this is very fresh and light and innocent; dewey white florals, very sheer and shimmering. Not soapy, just nice and light. Over time, the scent deepens a little and the musk comes out to play - but it's a very light, modest musk. Nothing animalistic about it, nothing skin-like, just a faintly warm smell. There is something comfortable and reassuring about it. There is a slightly stronger flower note: Jasmin? Gardenia? that moves to the forefront after about half an hour, but fortunately nothing overwhelming. This feels like a very pretty, sophisticated, well-balanced scent. It's a good floral for people who generally don't get along with florals, I think. Quite a 'classical' perfume-like smelling scent; almost nostalgic (though not old-fashioned).
  7. Apart from a couple of times where I tried a small bit on my wrist, yesterday was the first time I wore this one. At first, I wasn't too sure I liked the scent; there was something licorice-like about it (the anise I guess) that I wasn't crazy about. Fortunately, that departed rather quickly and I was left with something that was hazy and sweet; mostly vanilla, perhaps a tiny bit of some fruit I could not quite place. It didn't smell fruity though. I want to say spicy, but that wasn't quite it, either, it was too light for that. The marshmallow? I really have no idea what marshmallow smells like! I'm going to have to test it some more and take more careful note of what I smell. There was no time for that yesterday; I wore it to the first Bollywood dance class of what will hopefully be a 10 week course. (There were only three other ladies there though, so it's not sure the class will continue. Fingers crossed, I really hope it will!) Still, I think that Leviation did it's job! The instructor made a point of introducing himself to me, and asking about dance experience etc. The three other ladies seemed quite enthousiastic as well; even though it was our first ever class, they all were really into it. The atmosphere was good, the music was good, the dancing was fun! We all gave it our all I think, I was rather exhausted when I came home. Dancing makes me get 'into it' much more than exercise does; just concentrating on the music, the rhythm, learning new movements etc, I find it much easier than doing 'exercise'. Levitation did feel quite congruent, as I had expected. I've found that I have to be a bit careful with a-nol heavy blends; I can't use them to 'lift me up' if I am feeling sluggish and not in the mood for company that day. It just feels grating then, and not in synch with my mood. But yesterday I was in a good mood to begin with, looking forward to the dancing etc, and then it turned out to work really well!
  8. I can't, it's not here yet!!! My January order (including the Valentine's samples etc) with Sexology in it was shipped out at the beginning of this week; I'm crossing my fingers that it will be here some time in the coming week...
  9. This sounds SO good, and right up my alley too! I can't believe I missed it; I think the label (of scented Sexology III) made me think of something much more clean-smelling. I have a full bottle unsniffed on it's way to me, I can't wait to try it out!

    Decadent Diva

I'm having high hopes for this one; ordered a bottle unsniffed, which should be here soonish, hopefully! Is the sandalwood in any way like the (very subtle on me) sandalwood in the Bam! sandalwood & resins variety?
  11. I'm hoping to get my sample of this in a week (it's just been shipped, typing this with my fingers crossed ), so I can't really say... But from reading all these reviews, I have a feeling I would love to get my hands on a bottle!
  12. Since I actually have a bumble bee tattoo, I do hope I will love this too... But some of the notes and the powdery-ness have me worried. Samples oh samples, please come to me!!!
  13. I never thought I'd say this, I had such a strong negative reaction to it at first, but I am starting to come around to Aja! What is feels like is that the scent has changed and has adapted to me, but I am pretty sure that does not happen. It has become more subtle on my skin; softer and more honey-like. I still use only the tiniest little bit (at this rate, a sample vial could easily last me a month of daily use, probably more), just the tip of the sample vial wand touched to one wrist and then the other rubbed against it; but it's still pretty strong this way! But somehow, it smells a lot less artificial and less pungent to me now than it did at the beginning. Instead, it's become a sort of sultry honey-scent, that twirls around my skin all day. It's amazing how such a small amount can be so strong and persistant! I don't feel comfortable wearing it closer to my face, out of fear of being overwhelmed, but a little bit on my wrists actually does smell nice and sweet. It also mixes well with other scents elsewhere on my body, sort of mingling but never quite blending with it. I did get a sort of hit of it too, a guy taking my details for a course getting really rather flustered. Altough I was also wearing Kitten Nip, so perhaps he was responding to that as well? Or the combination of the two? In any case, I am slowly coming around to liking Aja! I am very curious to hear more about any male responses to it, it would be a nice and (eventually) easier to wear alternative to cops.
  14. Got the Paypal shipping notice in my mailbox this morning - yay!!! Now I'm crossing my fingers that the new releases will be a while still; I would love to be able to try out some of my January samples and see if there is anything else I need a FB of, if it's still around (I did order a couple of FB right away, taking a gamble; so many scents seem to sell out SO quickly!). Ideally, I'd like to add some January scents in FB to a February sampler set...
  15. My order for the Janurary realeases has not even been shipped yet, so I'm kind of hoping the February releases are still a while away! It would be great to get my January samplers and test (some of) them and then place an order - with February samples and the January stuff I want a FB of. But if there are new releases very soon, I am not sure I will be able to contain myself.... :chimp86:
  16. I know what you mean about not being sure you want to know - but that is not my experience with TMI (or B-nol in general). It makes people feel close to you emotionally. Not psycally though, on it's own - perhaps if you add cops or something. But no crowding in that I have experienced with b-nol blends. If anything, I get that from stuff like Perfect Match, where people are SO happy to see me and talk to me that they pat me on the arm, give me a small hug, etc. But TMI to me, gives more an effect of people feeling comfortable with you, and easier to share things with (the same goes for me when I wear it, although less after the first time). I don't think they are likely to share 'truths' that make you feel bad about yourself; because they feel so connected to you they'd be more likely to tell you things that they think will make you like them back, if you know what I mean. They might share more than you'd like to hear (I haven't had that happen yet though) but it would be more about painful and embarassing things about themselves - not criticisms about you.
  17. Good point, I have found that as well! It's a very very nice phero over all, one of my favorites.
  18. Personally, I prefer TMI to True Confessions: TC (in the Seer) made me feel very distracted and absent-minded. TMI gives more depth I think, and makes it easy to feel close to someone and open up. Once you're aware of the effects, I think, it is quite possible not to open up too much. But I might not be the best judge, because I am starting to think that I don't do well with A-nol in general (it seems to make me feel irritable and not comfortable in my own skin, distracted; guess I'm not one for a party mood....).
  19. I am so glad I should have the sampler pack on it's way soon! From the description I don't think I would have ordered this scent (I love cherries to eat, but on my skin less so) but all your reviews make it sound absolutely gorgeous!
  20. No shipping notice (I think I've only ever gotten one) but I received a partial refund last week for the shipping costs on the order I placed in early January, which usually means the parcel is on it's way. Fingers crossed it gets here soon!
  21. Yes, me too. Well, that is - the rose makes me slightly nervous too, but not terribly so (roses by other perfumers often don't work, but the couple of LP scents that I've tried with it have been fine to great). But the Aja.... we really don't get along, no matter how hard I try. I kind of hope there might be a version of this with no Aja (and maybe extra cops instead, yum! ) at some point.
  22. Ha, I thought I had already reviewed this ages ago; I got a sample of it in my first order, I think. The scent is a bit on the soapy/clean side for me, but I find I like wearing it anyway, especially combined with something 'dirty' closer to my body. So, for instance, an OCCO on my torso and a bit of Bonded on my wrists; it makes me feel like I've just washed my hands and gives me something fresh, as it were. The scent is... Almost green-smelling? Floral, but a bit tart, like crushed buds of something. It does get a bit sharp in the beginning, but after a while it mellows out and an hour or two later I am left with a scent that sticks quite close to my skin; like a soft, green haze of a flower. It lasts quite a while that way, if I apply it high enough on my arms so that it doesn't get washed off. The Phero effect is terrific! PM is one of my favorites anyway; it takes away some of the stand-offishness that people often seems to get from me, makes people feel at ease with me and it still feels congruent with my personalty, not like I'm forcing something that I am not. It is at least as much a success with women as with men. I've had people that I've only met minutes before grab my arm enthousiastically while talking about something, very vague aquaintances (people I've only met once or twice before and maybe exchanged half a dozen words with) come up to me and give me a sort of half-hug, etc. Very noticeable hits, and very nice ones! Just sort of friendly and happy and chummy, nothing clingy, no oversharing etc. Like I have said elsewhere, 'soapy' is not usually my thing, but on the other hand Bonded would make a really really good smelling soap! It's a nice, uplifting change from the heavier, syrupy scents I tend to prefer.
  23. Oooooh, StacyK, that sounds gorgeous! I am trying to hold off from placing an order before early next month at least (pretty much broke, plus I'd like to read some reviews first) but that has the disadvantage of adding more and more scents to my wish list.... I was worried about the white tea and the white jasmin (tea can go shrill on me, jasmin tends to get overpowering and reminiscent of cat's urine on my skin) but now I am tempted by this one all over again! Having said that, I love LP Pink, Original and Red and I am fast learning to love Black as well - so that would make the chances of me liking White pretty good, I guess?
  24. Ha, I got the 'incense' comment on this one today! Not as in that I myself would smell like incense, but the guy (who came to clean the apartment's ventilation system) thought I'd been burning it in my house. It was a nice hit though; he seemed very keen to stay and chat, the more so the longer he was here.... Talked about how it was nice to relax with some 'incense' (aka Rocket Fuel as smelled on my skin) and music which I happened to have playing when he came in.
  25. I like smelling my dog too... Especially the undersides of her paws, they smell sort of like herbs or hay. Then again, I don't mind a whiff of (dried) cops either, so I guess I like funk as well! Edit: I can often tell when my dog is sick or something's wrong though, because then she smells 'off'. And my cat, who is ancient, does not smell pleasant anymore; she's not quite Smelly Cat yet, but her fur gets a little musty sometimes.
