  1. I'll be following along with interest, since that sounds like a great mix; Est tends to work well for me, as does DHEAS (a-nol is a bit more hit or miss). Let us know what you end up getting, and how you like it? All the calculations in this thread are making me feel a little woozy!
  2. And it wasn't even a Sonic screwdriver! I was only going to get three or four samples, plus some samples from the permanent collection (I've overlooked all the 'honeyed' scents until now) and one or two FB from the January collection.... But I couldn't pick just three or four, the least I could do was eight, so it made more sense to get the sampler pack after all. So really, I'm saving money, right? ... Right?

Thank you - I shook it like I shake my bootie! I shake all my perfumes before putting them on (been using a different perfume oil brand for years) - it's sort of crossed over to shaking stuff like lip balm from time to time. It didn't help, unfortunately.
  4. Ah, YES. THIS is IT. The perfect scent - and, amazingly, it comes with what I suspect might be the perfect phero for me. :burning-heart: It does not smell a lot like Phero Girl to me though; it reminds me more of LP red. There is quite a bit of cinnamon and spice in it, but it is less bright, a little less sweet, more mellow than LP red. There is warmth, sweet spices, and underneath it all a lovely, calm, skin scent - musky, but not the randy kind of musk. It's a sort of toasted cinnamon, along with a little bit of syrup; not a lot though, it is not a really sweet scent on me. It makes me feel calm and relaxed and just good in my own skin; cheerful and aware of things. And things are GOOD when I have this on. Will have to report back later on the phero-effects because I haven't really had much opportunity to wear this around other people, but the self-effects are just really, really good. I love cops (they work at least as well on women as they do on men so far), love Est and adore B-nol, so I suspect this blend will work well. And the scent... *happy sigh* The scent is just PERFECT. If there is ever one of those threads like 'if you could only have one LPMP' - then THIS would be mine. And it's in the permanent collection, too. The world is a good place!
  5. How about Treasured Hearts (it's in Fairy Musk at the moment)? That seems to work for me in all kinds of environments - and 'happy, calm and relaxed' is exactly how it makes other people (and me) feel. For upclose and personal I've also found Perfect Match to be great - and in more romantic settings, that works really well with some cops, too.

This, on me, is Pure Wood. Just woodwoodwoodwoodwood, one big heavy block of solid wood. I can't find a grain of sugar, or even a whiff of any resins, patchouli, or anything - just wood. I guess I am one of those people that amps sandalwood, then? If I were looking for something to build heavy, heirloom furniture out of, this would be fantastic... But as a perfume, it's rather blunt and one-note on my skin. Which sort of breaks my heart, because it sounds SO good (and I went FB on it unsniffed)! So far I've not opened my bottle, only tried my sample vial. I think I'll let it age for a bit and see if it goes any better a couple of months from now. I'm hoping also that the vial, being a smaller volume, will age faster somehow. It does layer quite well, with sweet and vanilla type scents - but I need such minute amounts for that (a tip of the sample vial wand, barely touching my skin) that even just the vial would last me years and years.
  7. Yes, me too! It's the whole thing really every month; first the beautiful images, then the stories and great writing to go with it - and finally, when they arrive, the scents. I've been going back lately a little bit through the scents that I love and re-reading the descriptions; it's lovely after having used a scent for a while reading them all over again, sort of adds a dimension.
  8. I hadn't realized there had been a Hummingbird Nectar already: I've looked up the reviews of the first version and they sound great - it would be such a great scent for spring and early summer! Getting curiouser and curiouser about the descriptions.... When they go up, does that mean the new releases go live in the store as well, or can there be time in between there as well? I'm getting a new (to me) computer tomorrow and that is usually not as simple as it seems, so it could be I'm without internet access for a couple of days (don't have a smart phone or tablet etc)... I can sort of see myself cycling to the library twice or three times a day, just to check for LPMP updates!
  9. I'm not sure if there was a bottle reserved for me or not, but if so, could you please put it back 'on the market'? I've tried my sample and while it is lovely sniffed from the vial, on my skin it sort of... wilts and dies within minutes. There is something in there that just does not agree with my chemistry I guess. Judging by this thread, the bottle is sure to find love easily! Thank you for making more, though - if I had loved it as much as I love other LPMP I would have been all over it! *goes off to consele herself with some Phero Girl*
  10. Nice review! Yes, I am liking this much more than I thought I would (and I'm glad I went FB on it). It's sort of a foodie for people who generally don't like foodies - in the way that LP white is a floral for people who don't like florals. There is something very animalistic about it, underneath it all...
  11. This was one that I liked initially, but thought was way too strong and a bit much for daily use - but it has been growing on me and it feels really comfortable now! I'm going to do a proper review when I have more time, it's one of the more complicated scents I think. I'm considering getting a bottle of this boosted with Bang! Has anyone tried that combination?
  12. Oh drat, I was hoping to get a bottle of this with my next order! I know the feeling though, of never wanting to be without something that is so lovely!
  13. I had the same thing last month; they're in the first post of this thread but if they don't show up for you, it might be due to your adblocker; if you allow this site to show pics/popups etc they might show up. My thoughts exactly.... You had me at Purple!
  14. Unfortunately, Cherry Divinity did not like me: I think it smells great in the vial, but on my skin it's very... I don't know, it just falls flat. Yes, I think I'll layer it with some LP Black or Gold - something to make it slightly warmer. Also to have part of my scent feel familiar to me; I haven't worn RRC often enough to feel it's completely my own yet (that usually happens when I wear a scent several times, in several different settings). I got a bottle of this one unsniffed, because I love SS4W and I really wanted to try out Bang! I think the scent works well for the most part (after the first half hour where it is lemonade that is a bit on the sharp side) but it needs an extra touch of warmth for me. I have a feeling it will smell more rounded after a bit of aging, though! Actually, after it's mellowed a bit, there is something about it that reminds me of Mexico; part of that is that I bought rose-scented candles there, but there is something dry and sweet in the basenote that makes me think of the landscape there.
  15. Yes, same here - which is why I probably forgot about how sexual a blend BI really is. Also, my idea of 'slather' probably isn't like everyone else's; even when I slather a scent, a trial vial would still last me at least 10 or 12 applications (tipping it against the tip of my finger, then applying that on maybe two or three places). Non-slather would be just a swipe or maybe two of the sample vial wand... I am rather sensitive to scent, and to some of the pheros (whatever is in Cougar Potion, for instance) as well so I tend to use tiny amounts.
  16. *bouncebouncebounce* Ooooh, lovely labels and blurbs! Can't wait to read the descriptions - meanwhile, I'm going to turn over my piggy bank to see if there is any leftover money hiding...
  17. LOL, I ODed on Cougar the first (and only) time I wore it! In my experience (which is still very limited), BI is pretty safe in that regard. It mostly made everyone (men, women, children) very eager to talk to me - and it gives a sort of bounce in the step not only for myself, but also for the people around me. And I did rather slather it on after the first time...
  18. Thank you! I'm going there with practically zero expectations; mainly because I'm curious about the movie ('Her') which I'm getting to see for free, plus at least one free drink.... And the idea that everyone around me will be single (or supposed to be) is kind of funny in a way! But I'm still sort of hung up on a guy I dated briefly end of 2012 / beginning of 2013, so I'm not really looking. Unfortunately, Raspberry Rose Confite goes a tiny bit shrill / dusty dried rose on me. I think I might layer it with some Phero Girl or LP Black, to make it a bit richer.
  19. Do iiiiiiitt! Blatant Invitation is SO much fun (the selfies on that one are terrific for me) and Petit-Four Your Thoughts is such a happy, cheerful, 'innocent' (yeah right) kind of scent! Science is VERY important....
  20. Ok, I'll give it a whirl then! I haven't really tried the scent yet (just a tiny dab on the back of my hand one evening, which I did like) and I haven't tried Bang! - but I love SS4W and est and cops, so it's all good I guess. Getting a teensie bit nervous about it if I'm honest.... I'll report back tomorrow - or probably the day after, since it's bound to get late either way.
  21. Maybe if you get it, the occasions to wear it outside of work will show up? I have found myself seeking out social occasions that I normally wouldn't because it would give me a chance to use a certain perfume... Ha, good point!
  22. I have a singles movie screening this Friday (not only is it Valentine's, it is also the full moon... Should be some powerful mojo in the air!), we're all supposed to be sitting next to someone who might be a match. Drinks and (if you want - not sure if I do) speeddating afterwards. I wonder if I could wear Raspberry Rose Confite for it....
  23. I was worried about the fruit in this as well, but it is not really fruity on me; mostly floral; lovely, fresh, green and pink florals. Very fresh (but not soapy!) and a little bit sweet, but not too sweet. It threatens to go sharp on me about half an hour in, but fortunately the musk prevents that. (and I have a feeling it's the sort of sharp that will disappear completely with some aging) This is THE most sheer musk I have ever smelled - Fairy Musk indeed! There seems to be a very soft undertone of something sweet occasionally, something I catch a whiff of now and again; like a very sheer vanilla or amber. I like this a lot, glad I went FB on it! I haven't had a chance to try out the phero yet; perhaps tomorrow (and I'll report back when I do).
