  1. I bid on this before I got a chance to read the reviews because I was in and out of airports that day...but now I am super excited!! It sounds like a sweet lemony dream!
  2. I think I have the same taste as you do - I also like fruit/foodie/vanilla! Is this green or sharp at all? I like some white florals (like the ylang in Sensual Harmony and the florals in Gypsum White) but I don't think green scents agree with me. Maybe I could layer it with one of the Sugareds if it gives me trouble...
  3. This is such a deep, thick honey. It makes me feel sexy and slinky, but on my skin it's not dirty, just deep and rich. It's actually cleaner than I expected! The "earthiness" here is a natural kind of depth like you "feel" with a well blended amber, not actual "dirtiness" you can smell like I get with pherogirl. The honey is so dense and thick here that I feel like if you bathed in this type of honey you might actually float. This lasts for hours and hours. One of things I love about LP perfumes is that they blend with your skin chemistry and "blooms" over time, and this starts out very sweet and blends in with my skin to be this thick, honey skin scent. (By skin scent, I don't mean that it's faint or indistinguishable, just that it blends so perfectly.) It loses some of its sweetness as it blends, but you still get little bits of sugary sweetness. At 16 hrs it's faded to a light almost powdery honey. Great sexy and multidimensional honey scent.
  4. I think the Whisker Wishes review thread has a discussion on different ways to apply the oils and charge it with intention, if that helps at all! Good luck!
  5. Thanks Eastwood! That means a lot coming from you because I always love reading your reviews! Your review of Winter in the Tropics is convincing me to try it in the sale, even though I'm not sure about florals...
  6. Recovered from the flu and thinking about scents now that my nose works again. I reserved a bottle of Winter in the Tropics and I'm trying to decide between that and Themyscira. I love love love LFM, but I don't always like florals and I have no idea what gardenia smells like. And I already know I like Themyscira from a sniffie... But there's ONLY ONE BOTTLE of Winter in the Tropics and what if I miss out?? Ahh, life is soooo hard - choosing between two great scents for my free bottle... (Thanks so much to Mara for the sale! This is incredible!) Agreed 100%!
  7. The 2015 collection is still available: https://luvpotionperfume.com/shop/21751134/setsspecialcollections Or do you mean totally new ones?
  8. I love how sweet and scrumptious this is too! What oil fixative are you using?
  9. It's on sale right now! I took a look at the review thread recently, and from the comments there you may need to watch out for self effects in this kind of situation.
  10. Thanks for all your suggestions! I will start with a tiny swipe in ,my cleavage and see how it goes from there. That's a good point! I'm in my 20s so I'll be careful . One of the things I like about pheros and LPs is that they help bring out different facets of myself. (Like I FEEL different wearing LP Pink than I do wearing LP Red, or something with SWS, for instance.) So maybe cops will help bring out my inner vamp. 😆 I hear you! I love the freedom of being single. Ooh, OCCO White sounds like it would layer beautifully with almost anything...although I'm worried that if the OCCO smells too good I will be tempted to put on more!
  11. Thanks for the explanation, Heather, that makes sense. I wish there was more research available on pheros and how they affect people. You'd think with all the crazy things scientists study (e.g. the Ig Nobel prizes!) there would be more research on something that can affect behavior so much! I guess there isn't much grant money for this kind of thing.
  12. Is there any way to wear cops more for self effects or for an extra sparkle without of coming off as full on sexual? I'd like a more slinky vibe but "LET'S HAVE SEX" in big neon letters is not congruent with my personality (I'm more of a LFM girl), and I want to avoid some of the incidents described in this thread! Maybe a tiny dot of a phero-enhanced fragrance? Would that be closer to "natural cops" levels instead of "do me now" cops levels? Everyone seems to be having so much fun with the OCCOs and I want to at least TRY cops! I'm single right now though, so no one to use cops for besides myself.
  13. I don’t like florals normally, but I like this! It's a little too floral for me when wet, but dries down very nicely. I can’t tell all the notes apart, not least because I don’t know what they all smell like! - but it’s blended very well and not at all cloying or “sneezy” like some florals are to me. I can “feel” the water note more than I can smell it - but it feels cool and airy, like sea spray. Something about this scent has a cooling effect on me. It makes me think of watching the sun glitter on the ocean as a crisp sea breeze rolls in. The floral dies down a little after 15 mins and sweetness comes out - I think this is the sandalwood because it reminds me of Sensual Harmony. The label is perfect - this scent very sweet and innocent and lovely, just like a sleeping baby. The first time I wore this, I layered this with a teeny bit of Sensual Harmony with LFM because the initial floral blast scared me off a little, and I wanted something to sweeten it. IT SMELLED AMAZING (and lasted forever. 24 hrs and a shower later and I was still getting whiffs of it.)
  14. I got a sniffie of Sneaky Clean w/Phero with my last order (about 2 weeks ago). Is this the new version with Lumina? So I know which review thread to read.
  15. Has anyone noticed responses from men as well as women? I normally wear no pheros or LFM at work, but I've worn Themyscira w/ Girl Girl a couple of times in the past week. I've noticed a happy camaraderie with women and men, especially with men who are EST responders (at least, that's my guess since they respond really well to LFM.) There's more smiling, laughing, but also good teamwork and a feeling of bonding. We were talking about boring projects details during a meeting but everyone was engaged and in a great mood. I like this! It reminds me of a Lace type happy vibe, but more smart and put-together. Or a more approachable and warm-and-fuzzy LFM, like if LFM took off her sheath dress and put on a slouchy cashmere sweater.
  16. Borderbumble, that story about LP Red was hilarious! I would have loved to hear the internal dialogue of that moose... LPs are POWERFUL! I love how your LP Pink brightens your mood and brightens up the entire office as well! I like to think of all of us LP wearers going out and making the world a brighter place wherever we go. I thought LP Pink might be too pink and candylike for the office (I usually wear something like Sensual Harmony), but you've convinced me. Monday will be LP Pink day.
  17. Ok, this might be my favorite scent so far. I wore a couple of swipes of this last night and I can still smell it! I have noticed that it tends to "fade" after application, only to come out with a vengeance an hour later. So I'm always careful not to overapply at first. I like smelling those little bursts of amazing scent through the day. It might just be my skin chemistry, though. It's the only fragrance that lasts 24 hrs+ on me (I haven't tried a ton of fragrances though). I haven't noticed any reactions of other people with this (like I do with the UN LFM) but this makes me smile just putting it on and that's what matters.
  18. I got this in my sampler set. I thought I wouldn't like this because I don't like Pink Sugar or things that smell like candy, but I actually really like this! The top notes are very candylike but I can distinguish the berries and lemon, instead of it melding into one big candy or bubblegum smell like I feared. And the LP base gives this depth, so I don't feel like a high schooler like I do with commercial pinky fragrances. It's uplifting and bright for the summer! I still prefer LP Red to this, but I have to be in a certain mood to wear LP Red (I think due to the dark resins). LP Pink is a happy scent I can wear every day.
  19. Travel shock is no joke! When I first smelled this right out of the mail, I thought, “I guess maybe it does literally smell like a beaver…” On my skin, It smelled like a beaver after a hard day’s work that had accidentally chomped on a bottle of cologne. A while later and I pick this up again after reading the reviews. This was NIGHT and DAY from when I first smelled it. This time, I get the cranberry note right away, when I couldn’t smell ANY cranberry the first time around. It’s incredible how different it was! Immediately: Wow. This is great! It’s a really fresh smelling cranberry, with some depth… An hour later: Ohh, now it’s smelling like cranberries in the forest, when the leaves are falling…. I tested this for 8 hours on Saturday, because I would be mortified if the “literally a beaver” smell started coming out halfway through the workday! But it was very well behaved and really quite delightful. 8 hours later: Bouquet of woods and cranberry, the cranberry still going strong, but less bright (from blending with the rest of the notes). If this perfume were a person, it would be one of those really driven CEO types who run marathons on the weekends. It’s October, she just changed out of her work clothes, and now she’s trail running through the forest. There’s definitely something autumnal about it on my skin, and there’s this underlying “drive” as well - probably from the SWS. And the cranberry gives this lightness and brightness that makes me think of her running with a spring in her step, feeling confident and free in the chill air. Verdict: Definitely like this! I still need to test out the effects of SWS, though.
  20. Thanks Halo! I ordered the sampler set during the sale and I'm excited for it to arrive! (I don't feel ready for full bottles yet since I haven't even finished a sniffie! I definitely have "oh shiny!" syndrome. 😝 One day...)
  21. Hmmm, I have mixed feelings on this one; I don't think my nose has figured it out yet. I like the rich sweetness, but I'm having trouble picking out notes beyond the sweetness. Part of that is probably because I'm not sure what a fig note smells like! I've smelled dried figs, but this isn't like that. It's almost like maple candy to me, but with the maple toned way down and blended. I can smell some of the "greenness" the other comments mention... the great thing about the greenness is that it makes this wearable in the summer. My brother said it smelled "dessert-y" and went downstairs to look for a snack. I don't think it smells quite that gourmand, but smelling like dessert is right up my alley.
  22. I just tried the RUNBARRYRUN code on the new website and got the message "This coupon has expired." It's still Jul 5, so I wanted to let you know in case there's a software glitch. No worries, though, I'll just send in an invoice tomorrow. I'll have more time to decide. Or maybe I just won't decide at all and get the sampler set.. Just saw your post - I had to look this up too. I found a post from earlier this year that said: Anyone, please correct me if I'm wrong!
  23. This makes a lot of sense! Thanks Mara! From their description - short chain acids - I'm pretty sure they were using EoW or an analogue.
  24. This is kind of nerdy, but I figured the "SCIENCE of attraction" thread is the right place for this. I came across this paper the other day. Would love to hear what you ladies think! Synthetic Copulin Does Not Affect Men’s Sexual Behavior Abstract Chemical communication plays an important role in the social interactions and mating behavior of diverse animal taxa; yet its role in humans remains equivocal. Using a randomized, placebo-controlled experiment involving 243 male participants, we test whether exposure to synthetic copulin – a mixture of volatile fatty acids secreted vaginally in primates, increases 1) men’s sexual motivation using an incentivized behavioral task, 2) self-reported willingness to take sexual risks, 3) preference for short-term mating, 4) perceptions of female attractiveness and 5) self-reported mate value. Because chemical receptors are found throughout the body and human chemosensory pathways have yet to be definitively identified, we also manipulate the location of copulin exposure (i.e. olfactory epithelium versus epidermal keratinocytes in the genital region). Finally, we examine whether prior sexual experience mediate any behavioral effects. Unlike previous reports, we fail to find any effects of copulin exposure on measures of men’s sexual behavior. Link: https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s40750-017-0083-y This is by the same author who published a favorable copulin paper in 2016 (https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/full/10.1177/1474704916643328), and this seems to be a fairly big study. There are some incredible pheromone experts here - curious to hear your thoughts on this!
  25. Welcome! Experimenting is fun! Can't wait to hear about your experiments!
