  1. Aw, sorry haven't tried that one - getting a sample in my next order...at least on me, wet, the lavender was clearly the primary note. I know what you mean about lavender giving you a headache - I've got some pure EO and if I get too close to it for too long I get that headache. I don't with this.

  2. um ok this has morphed tremendously... I'm now getting HONEY and it has become much more grown up.

It is not green on me at all. As it's drying down, in fact it's not even all that floral. I think the fruits and woods are taking over. VERY VERY INTERESTING.

  3. OK, *why* is this reminding me of Cops & Robbers so much?!? maybe the brulee part of this is like the donut part of C&R?!! Anyway, I suspect this one is going to be my surprise favorite of the month. Wears "close" on me too.

  4. Chemistry variations still crack me up.. ALL i am getting wet is a melting gooey MILK chocolate , not dark - maybe that's the marshmallow fooling me - with the hint that some smoke is gonna be coming through. I bet this would cover EoW like nobody's business.

  5. It punched me in the face with a big cartoon boxing glove of lemon to start. Now the coconut is peeking out. Will report back on further developments.

  6. Mara warned that the natural camphor edge of lavender is apparent when just sniffing the bottle, but I did not find that at all - if anything I smell MORE sweetness (sugar + maple) in the bottle than on my skin! but it's only been about 10 minutes. On skin, the lavender is silky smooth and reminds me most of With Every Breath, and even though this is *NOT* candy-sweet, something about the kind of sweetness is making my mouth water which has only happened with one or two other LPs that I recall. OM NOM. Mara what kind of sugar did you end up using in here? xoxo

  7. I've never smelled it un so I have no idea...

I just learned that my dear elderly aunt has terrible insomnia - she can only sleep 2-3 hours a night :D and apparently it is torture.

I was thinking of sending her some of this.

She is on Prozac and a beta-blocker though. Anyone have experience/thoughts as to whether the Teddy would be problematic?

  8. Oh yeah, it's absolutely wonderful for bedtime as well as taming the raging PMS monster. I would recommend it to any woman for hormonal issues (and sleep is related to that) as well as the occasional slather on an XY.

I took a few days off and tried again and yup, dramatic difference in both quality and length of sleep. AND I had forgotten this note of Luna's but can confirm that this actually alleviated a PHYSICAL pms issue that I have- lower back pain. I swear you guys. Just unbelievable.

  9. :w00t: I love the shades of purple! I haven't smelt it yet but to give you an idea of what I mean by "foody lavender" -- have you ever had any cookies or cocktails with lavender in them? If not -- when it's in food, it tends not to have that bright/sharp/piercing/almost citrus- or eucalyptus-like edge that lavender can have when it's in bath & body products. It's soft and heady and light. It doesn't usually even taste like anything - it just perfumes whatever it's in.... if it interests you, there are a lot of food products on etsy that are lavender-scented, like cookies and caramels......
