  1. Just put a sample in a glass spray bottle + added twice that volume of perfumer's alcohol! I'm terrible with pipettes so I just eyeballed it.
  2. I tried Me, Jane and Neanderlicious a few times. It didn't make me grumpy/self-conscious -- though Pop Potion and mx135 gave me headaches and made me feel really self-conscious and socially "low-status", even somewhat ignored -- which is interesting now seeing Mademoiselle's note that she'd heard they're similar to TAH. BUT, for me, it did make men (but only men) do EXACTLY what you describe -- treating me as literally invisible/nonexistent. Or worse, like needlessly whacking into me really hard while going past. Like being the stereotypical loser in a movie who gets bullied really bad in junior high. I definitely wasn't wearing too much, just a swipe or two. It was frankly awful. That's so funny, because I'm fairly alpha too, and as I say it is NOT good for me at ALL. - maybe I'm not really as alpha as I think...
  3. I have used the safety-pin trick that others here have suggested, with success. -- You GENTLY wiggle & wedge the pin (sharp end, obviously) in between the roller and the 'ring' it's sitting in...and, keeping it vertical, you GENTLY scootch it all the way around the ring. If that's not enough, repeat, but with an up-and-down sawing motion.
  4. could've sworn I saw it in the sale! but I guess not... :'(
  5. Bumping because this is FREAKING FANTASTIC. It's just gorgeous y'all. I was wrong about it being green at first -- it's just straight-up true and "clear"-feeling HYACINTH indeed. And as before, it settled down on me within minutes, and all day I've been in a close personal veil-like cloud of sheer, only faintly floral, sweet sexiness. I WANT MORE but can't find in the store - PANIC

    Top Five

    Bumping this fun thread, for the exquisite torture of trying to narrow down to just 5. For me today: Jo's SWC Cougar 2009 my Blood-Orange Ylang BBM Gothic Latte
  7. You mean Delicious Wood? I do like that one, though a few shades too masculine for my taste. I will put on my thinking cap...
  8. :'( I wish the brown sugar would have come out more on me: for me it was a nutmeg-fest followed quickly by becoming just all wood all the time. (giggle) Not right for me. Glad someone else who it plays better with, is now enjoying. I would love to see a version of this that was sweeter, and more creamy than woody. Hmmmmmm {percolate}
  9. Just realized that was my problem with Everything Nice. :'( /threadjack
  10. Are you volunteering, Tezza? Cuz I love me some Aussies.
  11. Augh, I love these notes, but I'm the opposite of you Invi- I *amp* wood. (That sounds vaguely naughty) and it tends to drown out everything else. I smell like a well-worn cane. Not sexy. Otherwise this sounds fabulous...

    Honey Ho

    I'm coming around on the topic of honey -- Phero Girl's insane effectiveness will do that for anyone -- but the type of dirtiness in this one did not like me. However I wanted to post that the combo of fruit (I actually smelled peach, not pear; pear goes funny on me but in this, it did not) with this type of honey is inspired- really does evoke a fruit drizzled with honey.
  14. I would like MRF in about 18,235 different forms, but will restrain myself to just one or two. I think I will flavor a beta of Cougar with it! Carolyn's Man Nip- trying to control myself and stick to a sample, but who am I kidding- also want to try Halo's Angelique (sounds so pretty Halo!!), White Licorice (why does licorice taste so gross but smell so good??), Port Jolie (wasn't interested at all - tea hates me - until I read luna's vignette!!), Love Drawing, Desire Me, Goddess Oil, and Lusty Licious (thanks a lot Invidiana)... AUGH
  15. My only thought is that I find spraying pheros in my hair is super super effective - I knew it would be for the obvious reasons, but it's even more drastic than I expected. So if it were me, I'd do Cougar because I could put it in my hair, and also because IMHO it's a little more congruent with the scent - and I don't just mean that because it is similar to scented Cougar!- to me the "mood" of LAM is just not very fruity.
  16. dang girl, that's not a hit, that's a cannonball. I've never gotten that kind of snuggly reaction with CE. Great report, thanks for sharing it!!
  17. Does the touch of raspberry go doomy on anyone who's tried it?
  18. The scent is not very me -- it's quite Perfumey for my taste and as you know I prefer to smell like straight-up Food -- but it does have a warmth and touch of non-dark mystery, more like intrigue. So this post is more about the Treasured Hearts effect. I had 4 sprays in my hair, tried to keep it away from my face to prevent blabbermouth. It had a Cougar-esque starry effect on strangers (both men and women, but especially men, doubletaking and such) -- slightly different though -- Cougar makes people treat me like a younger, trendy/glammy star, and TH had the same starry but more respect-eliciting vibe. Cougar turns me into Scarlett Johansson and TH turns me into Kate Winslet. It also made my usually somewhat defensive, oversensitive female friend into a ball of goo, opening up, being vulnerable, showing concern and gentleness. Also our adorable waiter had to be torn away from gazing at me tableside like a crystal ball. I really like the multipurposeness of this blend!
  19. roflmao!! this reminds me of one of my favorite ever stories: I heard about a brother and sister who fought constantly in the back seat. One time Mother spins around and with her finger draws a line down the middle of the backseat. "JANE! you stay on the right side. BOBBY! you stay on the left side. OR ELSE!" She turns back around and there are a few seconds of blissful silence. Then Jane screams: "MOOOOM!! BOBBY'S BREATHING *MY* *AIIIR* !!!!" Mom turns around to see Bobby fishlipping against the imaginary vertical boundary, loudly inhaling and exhaling. I love this because it reminds me how creative and genius kids can be.
