  1. OMG there's more?! ETA: Nope, apparently not! So glad you got one! I will content myself with the piggish array I already have coming! :-)
  2. Welcome to the forum! It will be great to start reading your reviews!
  3. Oh, this is helpful! I've had great success with SWS, now I have things coming with TH and Leather, so I'll give those a try as well.
  4. I can't believe I haven't reviewed this one yet! I too bought it unsniffed and haven't regretted it for a moment -- the sweetness of the marshmallow, vanilla and ylang ylang is wonderfully spiced up with the tang of licorice and grapefruit (and, um, the spices!). I would also like to say this is my first experience with Levitation and the phero is absolutely great. Best selfies I've experienced so far; I may need to figure out another carrier for it! Although -- full disclosure -- I've decided not to wear this one to my retail job anymore. On the one hand, it gives me the lovely butterflies in the stomach of something wonderful is about to happen. On the other hand, both times that I wore this to work I had customers who simply WOULD NOT LEAVE -- everyone wanted to settle in for a lengthy flirty chat! :-) A wonderful effect in a social setting, just not so great when the line is building up...
  5. Went ahead and got a bottle because it's not a phero I will prioritize getting, either as an UN or an add-in (sadly, I know myself too well) and I can think of a dozen ongoing situations that would benefit from my using it! Plus, musk.... and fairy....
  6. I scooped up a bottle unsniffed, since I was so sad to have missed this as a PE! Hoping there will be some left when I've had a chance to try it out, since if it works as well as I think it will, I'd love to get a boosted bottle!
  7. Ordered the sampler and full bottles of Fairy Musk, Raspberry Rose Confite, and Decadent Diva (which I have been mourning missing since I got active on the forum last August!). I'm actually praying NOT to fall in love with anything else.... but I will sample them all. Just to be sure. :-)
  8. OMG these look AMAZING!!!! So excited to put together the order!
  9. Snagged a bottle of this on the trade thread and oh, wow! It's probably just as well it's long gone, otherwise I would feel the impulse to Buy All the Bottles and hoard, hoard, hoard.... in general, I think this will be a hot weather scent, but tonight I couldn't resist. This is just the perfect blend of sex and power. The leather note keeps the honey from being too sweet, and the ginger keeps the vanilla/amber/musk from being too mild. This reminds me of being twenty years younger, out dancing in some close tight space, drunk enough to be wild but not scarily out of control, with music so loud the floor is throbbing, and feeling hot and sweaty and totally alive. Love this! ETA: Which means it does for me exactly what the song does. Brilliant evocation!
  10. And it's getting the love, I assure you! You all are reminding me how much I love this! I came on here to write a review of Closer, now I'm thinking of layering with some SLF to see what happens....
  11. Very interesting! I bought this one off a trade thread because I'm currently obsessed with leather, and also drawn to civit. So far, it's a real surprise -- if I hadn't read the description, I would have expected this to fall in the "elegant and expensive" category, high class, not dirty at all! It's hard to describe what my nose is smelling here. I get the sugar/amber vibe. I think I might be getting the whiskey note, but this one doesn't come off at all animalic or gritty to me, which is what I was anticipating. The leather calls to mind the sleek expensive leather of a Coach bag, perhaps, or a very elegant men's satchel. Actually, I'm rereading Invi's review above, and "dark and decadent" certainly captures it. In many ways, I find this beautiful and appealing, but it's a little too civilized for me right now. I'll revisit it when I'm looking for something elegant. Just realizing -- I've never smelled "Soie et Forrure" but this smells like that name to me! It totally makes me think of a mink coat being slipped on over a silk evening dress.... ETA: OK, this is the fastest morph I've ever experienced... it got down and dirty, all right, but unfortunately on me it was suddenly all booze and, weirdly, tobacco, which isn't even a note! Back into the world of trade it goes.
  12. Just reporting in and adding to the discussion above -- I just wore this to wedding for a gay friend, with a guest list that was almost 100% female. I am not a socially comfortable person. I am also very single at the moment and I was attending on my own, with only a few people I really knew. that being said, I had a minor level of acquaintance with several of the women there. For me, my crabby mood started to lift after I spritzed X Appeal on my cleavage and belly. Several people engaged me in conversation -- a woman and her daughter asked me to sit with them at the ceremony, another women asked me to get up and dance for the group dance following the married couple's first dance, I could find a conversation whenever I needed to. I was able to navigate what I had feared would be a really tricky social situation with a fair amount of ease and comfort. So for me, this works as a social, particularly since the scent is so clean and classy. I think Sexology paired with a killer sexy scent would NOT have been appropriate. But in X Appeal, it worked for me in the way you describe, Darbla. Oh, and I also spent some time talking with one of the few men there, a recently divorced straight guy, and he seemed perfectly comfortable and at ease with me. Chatty and attentive, but not blindsided, so I didn't feel I was being teasing or rude with my phero'd-ness. Plus what people have said about a little scent going a long way also minimizes that danger, I expect.
  13. I had to try this after reading the reviews (and spotting it on a trade thread I was already purchasing from). Also, I am on a serious lavender kick right now and feeling compelled to try all things that have lavender. That being said, my nose is translating the floral in this into something much more like lilac than lavender, which is fine, as it's lovely! As people have mentioned above, it's a subtle, earthy and yet ethereal blend. It's still in the early stages of drydown, and so far I am not getting smoke or beeswax (heartily looking forward to them!)--rather a blend of floral and grasses. Very soft but with a gritty texture I like. (I am also getting something the tiniest bit head-achey, so I'll have to see how it plays out.... I knew that was risk when I read that this was incense-y. Sometimes those really work for me and sometimes they don't.) I am really impressed with how complex this!
  14. I was about to say something about how you've both got me seriously craving banana..... And then I thought better of it!
  15. Got this in a trade and it's wonderful, with intriguing shifts--in the bottle, it's a rich and boozy vanilla. On my skin, it goes to banana, sweet and thick. I do catch little wafts of something that smells like maple, but only for a moment. It's sweet, rich and tropical. I can tell the coconut is there but it's more of a grounding base than a prominent note (that would be the banana!). When I was a little girl, sometimes for breakfast I'd have sliced bananas in milk, to which I would add gallons of white sugar. It makes my teeth hurt to think of now, but at the time it was heaven: creamy banana sweetness. This smells a bit like that tasted!
  16. This is lovely -- light, silky, subtle and sheer. I get the marshmallow, but it is the quietest one i have met yet, and the licorice is also more of a sparkling resonance than a note I can pull out and identify. It's just the right level of sweetness for my taste, not too sugary and not drowning these delicate notes. I am keeping the bottle on my bedside. Occasionally pairing with Apparition. Side note: I love these marshmallow blends where you shake the bottle and watch it go cloudy!
  17. Mine are super urgent! Almost emergency urgent! Because it's not like I have a closet full of yummy things to play with in the meantime... I am also really curious to see what kind of theme January brings! Seasonal? Or just straight up crazy awesomeness?
  18. Just acquired this in trade and OMG OMG OMG! This may be the yummiest foodie scent yet! The lemon is an absolutely true lemon curd--creamy citrus that is both tart and sweet. It goes on bright and strong, then settles down a bit and I get the creamy custard AND the crust! It reminds me of a wonderful lemon chess pie my mother used to make. It also, as mentioned upthread, has great staying power on me. I was a little concerned that it quieted down as quickly as it did, thinking it might be one of those my skin just eats into oblivion, but once quiet it settled in for the long haul. When I woke up this morning it was still in that quieted down but very palpably present skin scent stage! So naturally I re-slathered. I have a feeling i may go through this bottle in record time. So delicious!
  19. As I think was mentioned upthread, I am both stalking NRs and eagerly waiting to hear when the PE page is going to be switched back on... I have Christmas money and PLANS!
  20. Another lovely trade surprise... this is the first LP with a woods note that has smelled like wood to me! Usually my nose does something very strange with it. This is warm and spicy, but not a foody spice. It really does give an impression of fire; it's a nice scent for this wintery day, but I think for late fall it would be to die for. It really creates that sense of crackling leaves underfoot, cold bright autumn air and the scent of woodsmoke from a cottage somewhere deep in the woods... even though smoke is not a note. My main experience of cinnamon is with LP Red, which I love, and this is a totally different setting for it. Lovely!
  21. This is one I backed off on in trade, then ended up getting as lovely extra, and it's wonderful! Fruits are not my favorite, but this one has enough spice and musk tempering the fruit to make it a subtle sophisticated blend which will be very work appropriate and great in the summer. It's also lovely for a sparkling winter's day -- there's a warmth to it that is just brightening my mood no end. The red musk is definitely a different musk than I've smelled before -- really loving it!
  22. It's the October 2013 Trifecta!
  23. Mmmm, will need a sample of this! Just loving the butter.... and caramel would not suck in that equation either! ETA: Thank you, Luna, for the awesome suggestion! :-)
  24. Oh, dear, serious temptation! Will go check out NOW!
