  1. Broke this out on Tuesday and again today. This is such a soft and lovely fragrance - really great for hot humid days when a foodie, goo-y scent may be too cloying for the sticky weather. LFM always makes me feel demure and lady-like. Calm, put together and on spot. It seems to be the "prince charming" potion for Man Beast, as he becomes Mr. Chivalrous/Guardian. I should boost this with a few drops of cops - just because I always add them anyway This is a stealthy phero in a sweet and innocent fragrance ^_~
  2. Here's to science!
  3. Ah, ok. I don't have forever then, but I have a little more time to plot my next must haves
  4. While I can't quite say I love the floral MORE than the foodies, I CAN say there are many that are neck and neck - to my very delighted surprise! Tuberose is one of the sweetest to my nose and Plumeria was a surprise love! The cake-y, creamy goodness make them incredibly enjoyable - this is the first set that my husband has sniffed through the WHOLE thing with me - EVER. THAT is saying something, as we are both foodies and he almost always crinkles his nose at floral anything. Even he, Mr. Persnickitty, likes this Fairy Garden release Did I read up thread that these will be permanent?
  5. THIS is one of the MOST fascinating things about LP fragrances - the wide range of "what others pick out." I am constantly surprised how different something I may pick out as what the prominent fragrance is and what someone else does - PARTICULARLY my husband lol. It's really very much an adventure each time I wear them to see who interprets them and in what manner
  6. OHMYGOSH!!! I've gotten the hukkah comment too Or candle, women usually go for the "what smells like a candle?" thing. With the exception of 1 friend who dislikes patch, most mean it in a "something smells good but I can't quite identify it" way. It's actually similar types of comments for black as well...hmmm....
  7. ^^^ Too true Donsie! Sounds like a real charmer, that one. What's another one that may make him behave, LFM? MLH? Duel signal - sexy Red, but you mind your manners!
  8. This and LP Frais Citron seem VERY similar at first - but this wears much lighter upon dry down and is not as - heavy? - on the sweet denseness of the cake. It's still very much a confection treat, but soft and light, like I was just meant to smell like this, lol. I find many of the fae scents wear like this - how WONDERFUL!
  9. This is my, and man beast's, favorite of the fae cakes, so much so that I ordered him his own bottle to do with as he pleases! He's thinking that - as a TRUE LPer - he will layer a spray here and there - maybe with Voracious or Figgy. I'm SO proud of him! Brings a tear to my eye...
  10. I'm VERY excited to have another scent man beast approves of and there's a bottle on the way just for him! It's green enough that it smells really good on him. The sweetness isn't as prominent in this one - at least not on him. This - for me - was my least favorite and I would not have worn it because I think I must not like thing I find too "green". Many greens scents come across to me as masculine so I'm tickled that my guy likes this and that his LP list is, ever so slowly, expanding as well - if helps to justify my own hobby of love and LP collecting...at least that's what I tell myself
  11. I'm still surprised that I like this one more than orange - oh yes - I like them both! - but the citrus lemon goodness is really...hmm...happy? Uplifting? Sunny? Not sure really, I like the sweetness of orange but there's something about the lemon that makes me feel happier somehow

    Veloute Lavande

This is STILL my favorite bedtime scent for my linens. It's so relaxing and calming LURV
  13. Did I read correctly that these don't have base notes - or don't have traditional base notes? Is this why many seem to wear lightly and sheer?
  14. This wears so light BUT IT'S SO GOOD!!! I'm going to go ahead and get a back up bottle - I WILL FIND A WAY TO MAKE THIS LAST - or I will just slather and slather until it's all gone
  15. I wanted the Pumpkin Fairy cake and didn't order the FB right off and thought I should have because the sample smells SOOOO good. I've worn it a few times now and I amp the cinnamon too much so not getting the FB was actually a good - albeit sad - decision. Maple and Figgy are definites - At least 1 FB of each... I'm undecided about Gingerbread because I love it, but it's so light and my skin seems to gobble it up - but it's SOOOO YUMMY!!! I also believe I am in need of another FB of Fairy Floss as well...back up, you know? Hehe...
  16. Dom Noire is my man's Man Nip. The Dom + cops is the button pusher for him. Hit's him hard and fast. I've worn it to work with favorable responses as well! I melt every time I inhale this fragrance! I wore this just the other day at work and garnered quite a bit of attention from our engineers Because it was work, there wasn't anything overtly sexual, but I got lots of big smiles, eye contact, general enthusiasm and conversation. It was a diverse groups too, Asian, Indian, White, Spanish...Who says engineers are too tech-y to have fun? ^_~
  17. Loud? I wish it were a bit louder on me Is a soft buttery maple - emphasis on the buttery - this makes me swoon every time I smell it! I thought I loved maple to begin with but this buttery addition is TO DIE FOR and I just love it! So far with my chemistry I'm not amping it and it's staying soft and delicious. It DOES last on me - which makes me VERY happy as many of the foodie Fae cakes I love are so light and sheer on me. I'm going to need back ups of this on...maybe back ups for the back ups... ETA: While wet I get an almost butterscotch flavor...but it flits away quickly to buttery maple
  18. I slathered this on generously today. It took a bit for the lavender to settle Even so, this was not a strong scent. Light and fleeting in and out of perception, not unlike the fae I suppose...
  19. Slathered this generously the other night but it faded so quickly I ADORED it though while it was there, and I did get a waft of sugared goodness here and there so maybe I went scent blind to all but the sugar? Idk. I'm not giving up...
  20. Hmm. This is kind of "clean soap" smell, but like at a spa or salon. It's very floral forward. It's staying very close to my skin. Like some of the others, it sits close like a body wash or some such thing, like you're skin smells like this naturally. Very unobtrusive. For anyone who likes those clean type fragrances, I think this will go over really well for you. It would be totally office friendly too
  21. I was wondering if this would be like An Act of Violets and it's yes and no While they are both candied-like, this has a creamier feel and smell - almost like a scented lotion rather than a perfume. This smells very natural, like it was in a body wash and your skin is just "supposed" to smell like this
  22. Yes! It does! Like mist over the water maybe? I like the water note. However this one isn't working for me. Not because of how it smells - well, I guess not exactly, lol. This went straight to my sinus', my eyes watered up and my nose went stuffy and then some sneezing commenced! Something in this just blew me up! It didn't happen when I was snoofing all the vials a few days back, but once I put it on my skin my head went haywire I have Sea Lily and absolutely ADORE it! While I was still able to smell this through my stuffy nose, the lily is still very pretty and seemed to be forward but alas I had to wash it off. I've had very rare few LPs that have maybe caused a bit of snifflage or stuffiness but this is the first time anything like this has happened. I'll hang onto it and trial it again at a later date. Maybe with all the allergens kicking up in my area at this time of year I just had a fluke reaction?
  23. I was thinking it was like Spinnerett too but then looked at the notes and saw they were nothing alike and just figured it was all in my head - so maybe I'm NOT bonkers after all I actually got this FB hoping it would be a backup to Spinnerett when I finally do my bottle in This is very sheer but OHHHHSOGOOOOD!
  24. I'm not familiar with tuberose and I'm reading this as something distinctly tart and fruity! I'm sure what I smell is the flower, but it IS very sweet and like hard candy of some sort to me. It goes well with the strawberry As it dries, it loses the tartness and gains a kind of creamy sweetness. Not at all what I was expecting from a floral
