How utterly strange! I've tested this twice and wore it once (earlier today.) I could have sworn it had apricot or nectarine in it. At first it has a little bit of a "dirt" smell wet. I smell other stuff but there's just some dirt in the background. Once it dries it actually became very lovely. I was worried I'd have to keep it going on the trade-train, but it really is nice, warm, and just bright enough. Adjective-wise, I'd consider it both lively and coy. Looking forward to continuing to test this.

My first time I wore this, it came across as way to cakey for me. Now when I wear it, it's cotton candy. No orange. Strange. I like it and find it pleasant. not quite "smelling like a candle" but not full blown bakery either. Sadly, have not been able to make Popularity Potion work (and I have a bottle of the UN as well to try in different amounts with different un-phero'd scents.) Smells definitely good but not a favorite.

I know how you feel--I haven't been able to get any hits with popularty potion. Unfortunately you'll just have to try different pheromones to see. Magnet or BAM/Lam could work too.

Third for Cougar but also jumping in and saying finding a really good cops blend. I had a post not too long ago asking for best tip-getting pheromones and there were some really good suggestions. I also think Topper because of the a-nol and Dheas but maybe someone else can say yay or nay on that one. I'd probably get it in a spray so it affects people who may not be right next to you. However, the best one for me so far has been Lumina. I don't think I've hit my stried with the others though I think cops makes a difference.

Hey, with 2011, I noticed it went plasticky on me. Did you have issues with that? Do you think 2009 would be less likely to do this? I know it's a guessing game, but I figured I'd ask since you feel they're different (and with different ingredients, they obviously are, but still.)

yeah, I know there's no cherry in it which is why that's kind of weird. I think it's the honey even though other honey smells haven't smelled anything like that on me. I think I've tested Jouir De 8-12 times, and Occo SLF maybe 4-5 times so maybe the difference is just where I've been testing SLF. And it certainly didn't smell like that when I first tried it. The only explanation I can come up with is that my nose is just so thankful not to be wearing Jouir De that it's throwing as much "pick this one" support behind Occo SLF as it can

It's really weird. I don't know why it does that! I got a sample from Mara early on and then got a bottle in trade so maybe the difference was aging? It's a very loud fragrance but not staby (to me.) just like a loud friend who you love to death but can only hang out with her in small doses? It's been months since I tried it at first and it did smell like something (but then honeys on me seem to not be super pleasant.) That and I didn't understand letting it dry for a long time. It just didn't leave.much of an impression on me. Fast forward to months later and I can compare to a bottle of Jouir De and EoW and a bottle with cops added and that's also probably why it has a zingy swinging cherry in it (but it's probably not-- Celrynn's Cherry Soup made my throat itch kind of bad, and the almond ones either don't stay cherry-ish, or they start to amp like crazy like banshees andalso hurt me a little when I breathe in, like Because the Night, which is a shame because when I wore it the first two times, the first 15 minutes was a blast. Now it's just headache central.)

Mara sells different sized bottles. I've been meaning to pick up like twenty 5mL. She also sells plastic pipettes but I have some glass pipettes from a beauty product where I can take the plastic rubber top off and clean it between uses. Also, I've seen small brown or blue glass bottles with a little glass and rubber pipette as a top. I've actually gotten one and mean to decant my Empress of Persica into it because I like using it as a deodorant and this way I can drop a small dime sized amount in my hand and rub it in. The only complaint I have is that I got some 5mL spritzer bottles and the glass feels REALLY thin to me. I wouldn't feel comfortable having it in my purse or anywhere that doesn't have very thick carpet in case I drop it. But the little 5mL rollerball bottles look great. I have some jouir de on my trade page if you want. I think I might get a sample size of it eventually (or decant a sample size before trade) but honestly, even if it does seem to get stronger reactions from guys around me, the orchid and the honey just smell wrong on my body. Can someone chime in if Jouir De has the same amount of coplins as OCCO SLF? (forgive me if I asked that before, I don't remember.) I know it has the synthetic civit, honey, and orchid and stuff for extra response but just wanted to clarify. edit: oops, totally wrong-- unless musks covers civit as well, there's no civit in it. I did notice though that OCCO SLF did have a very positive reaction from a sales-lady the other day. I was wearing it with Siren's Serenade and she came within 8 feet of me and started asking her coworker what smelled like Nag Champa. When I said it was probably me she said it smelled really good. Edit: I sympathize with you trying to classify your husband pheromone-wise. Mine's such a pain in the ass. Doesn't like chocolate smells. Can smell most coplins (except when I'm especially ninja-sneaky), and hasn't responded to much. The only thing I got a reaction out of him with was TMI, in which he was very cuddly standing next to me. Ridiculously cute. Well that's not quite true. I did get him to respond once to Jouir De after letting it calm down for several hours and then covering a bunch. I think Mara jumped into the discussion on coplins and pointed out some women had better results the next day after applying coplins, so that's something to chew on. And we did have a really nice conversation when I was wearing Drop Your Guard, but we like to talk to each other anyway so that might not have been a hit. DYG puts me to sleep after a half-hour, so that's the strongest "selfie" I've gotten. I'm honestly thinking about branching into the men's blends because I haven't gotten much in the way of hits except a little here or there. Lumina seems the best so far (of what I have) but I guess I just want more obvious hits.

I think she only minds people ordering a bunch if they're only getting like one to two bottles an order, or, yaknow, like a sample I remember a thread being up about that, and those that spend sixty to eighty a pop were in good shape and not abusing anything. Maybe mara or luna could jump in but even shipping forty dollars worth shouldn't be too bad--but then I'm not sure. Definitely make friends! JulyGirl and I just split two bottles from a trade thread but one of you has to have the little rollerballs all ready to decant. I don't use mine that often especially since I have Occo SLF and Provocative Paradise but I like having it*just in case* Plus I notice some differences in male reaction between jouir de (stronger) to occo slf (seems less intense) so I'm curious about trying EOW with a cover and comparing it.

isn't it only like $40 though for the bottle? So long as you trust yourself to not add too much (easy since Mara is great to share different load strengths) I would buy one if you think you'll ever load more than eight bottles. Actually maybe it's more like $60, I can't remember. Better yet, find a friend or four on the board and split it.

strangely between when I posted (I'd just put it on) and now, my skin ate it. It ate Provocative P as well but I think this one got eaten faster with less residue left behind (with Provocative Paradise if I huff really hard close to the skin I can sometimes pick up some whiffage.) Hm. I'll layer this with the one UN silicone I have to see if that makes it last longer.

Pulled out my sample of this. Previously I didn't smell the Gardenia as much but now that I'm in LURV with Provocative Paradise, the gardenia in Belle De Menthe is now so obvious. The mint is like a good toothpaste but there almost seems a tiny bit of chalkiness, which doesn't bother me because I only notice it when I'm huffing it non-stop close up. This reminds me in some ways of a Jennifer Lopez perfume-- not the specific notes (although maybe there's gardenia in there too) but there's that damned humidity smell--and I'm sorry, I know humidity determines amount of liquid suspended in air, but maybe it has to do with throw? Throws easily 1 foot or more from body. Or else perhaps it's just gardenia comes across like that. Anyway, it's very pleasureable for me and even though I wasn't going to look for a bottle before based on my first test of BdM, now I'm definitely adding this to my list. I'd have to do a side by side test with Provocative Paradise, but I think the gardenia in this one is more concentrated. Instead of walking along gardenias, I feel like I'm surrounded (in a good way!) and slathered with a really great foo-foo body cream to boot. I'm really happy that I can finally say I've found a floral I LOVE and can (so far) depend on.

Velvet Kisses is great. If you're cool with unphero'd ones, Dream Lover is also really good (some left on the artfire site) and if you ever get a chance to try Odalisque or....Angelique I believe, those are also very popular chocolate scents.

I haven't gotten my sample which I'm planning on trading for to get but I was wondering, just in case: is it possible to rebrew Levitation if enough people clamor for it? Seems REALLY popular and I'm hoping, if I love it, that it's at least *possible* to rebrew.

That's true. Butterbeer is fizzy but the ginger hates me so it's in the to-trade pile. Sad. Butterbeer besides that one stabby smell (on me) smells great.

Couldn't find a discussion thread for MVP UN so please move if there is one. Bought the MVP UN sample spray for a friend and he's finally getting to test it out. He's worn it two days over the last three days. He said he put it on and then a few minutes later on was in the car driving to work and just could not stop smiling. Didn't see any hits from other people but he was just in a really good mood and had an awesome day (though supposedly it was going to be awesome with or without MVP so maybe the awesome day was a hit and maybe it wasn't.) Wearing it today and same thing-- very smiley and upbeat. Only strange thing is that he finds his mouth is very watery/drooly and he's very thirsty. It's not going to keep him from using it but thought I should mention that He's a happy Labrador of a man, I guess

Haven't tried Bridezilla but Strange Attractors spray smells very fizzy to me like sprite as well.

I need to get perfumer's alcohol. It's in a roll on.

Hearts, have you combo'd it with other pheromones? I have PP in I think silicone, from a trade, and that rat bastard just does not want to perform any circus tricks of pheromone wonders no matter the different amounts. *sigh* still trying.

Got this in a trade (thanks Hearts!) and got to try it out fully today. I have my right arm slathered two or three hours ago and my left arm I just slathered twenty minutes ago to compare. There is a slight weird cops smell (or I assume it's that) that competes wth the perfume for the first ten minutes or so. I smelled a slightly chemically wet paint smell along with a very fruity perfume smell. That simmered down and now I have musk and the smell of those powdered valentine's hearts--the ones with the messages like Be Mine or You're Hot. After drydown, this reminds me of a Tommy Bahama scent I remember liking so probably similar notes It has a very nice throw, probably from the musk which along with the other notes reigns in the gardenia. I don't know why but floral perfumes tend to smell very strong or sharp to me. This actually smells like walking past real gardenias on a pleasantly humid day. It smells so liquid and, well, humid for lack of a better word, it almost smells like it could be a really thick luxurious body cream which has a different way of reaching out from the skin than than perfume. I got a little bit on my shirt, since I felt pretty comfortable applying to my chest, and smelling it now I don't get anything funky. Maybe that slight wet paint smell but only if I'm really trying to smell something off. This is why I love trading--the ones that were kind of reaches (Glass slipper and provocative paradise) ended up being the winners and I'm still waiting to see how the others fare. But Egg '11 which I thought would be an immediate winner went plasticky on me, which is a shame but underestimating the other two makes them even more exciting for me. I'm going to see how the manbeast likes or reacts to this and then consider putting this on the permanent acquire list.

When ya'll wear OCCO SLF, do you wear it by itself typically? I tend to layer and just put a smidge on my wrist. But I'm thinking about doing an experiment and seeing what would happen (in a safe environment) if I wore it like a regular perfume all over mah bodaaayyy. What do you guys do?
