  1. Wow, each and every one of you has given me some much needed and much appreciated insight on this and I thank all of you for that. I have not yet met this doctor yet, so have no idea how he and I will mesh personality wise. Rosebud has hit upon some particular issues which have in the past, been a problem for me WITHOUT pheros. It's the old patriarchal BS, but I have also found this with a couple of female docs whom I have had dealings with. Many doctors and I do not seem to get on well. I have a fair understanding of medical things which I learned long ago to keep to myself when dealing with them. My mom became a Medical Assistant at the age of 50 and I helped her study to get through school. As for me, I did not even complete high school, I am self educated, but I picked up a lot over time simply through my own interest in the field and through osmosis. The old school doctors, male or female, do tend to have something of a demi god complex, but that veneer is in actuality, quite fragile. Something in me, seems to antagonize and/or threaten them? Perhaps not threaten, but that is how it comes across. In the past, when doctors have failed me I have actually gone so far as to write them letters whose purpose was to notify them that I was "relieving them of their duties as my physician." Doctors in actuality DO work for us, but they do not take kindly to being reminded of that fact in any sense. I loathe having to "dumb myself down" in order to get on well with them, but I do whatever it takes. Which brings me back to phero choices. The thing is, I have read reviews on this doctor, and many of those reviews have been posted by female patients who are gushing over him and saying that they just adore him. Some have even said that he is "charming" and "flirtatious!" No need to worry about anything inappropriate with him since I intend to bring my partner in with me. This last element, regarding his flirtatious nature casts a thoroughly confusing light on things and threw a wrench into the works for me, with respect to making the whole phero decision. In light of what I have added here, may I please trouble all of you for further thoughts on this?
  2. Hi everyone. As some of you know, I have been sick with some sort of sinus/ear problem for the entire summer and then some. I have tried getting somewhere with the doctors in my immediate area, but to no avail since the healthcare around here is pretty much appallingly bad. I am so tired, frustrated, scared, and still sick. They simply do not listen or are inept. I am losing my hearing in my one fairly good ear and very afraid. I finally got the name of an ENT Doc who has a great reputation in Boston. People around here know if it is very serious, you pretty much have to go to Boston if you want and need the best care you can get. So my appointment is on September 4th, and I need to make the most of this visit and get all that I can out of it. That means getting the doctor to not just listen to me, but HEAR what I am saying and also be willing to cooperate and do whatever is necessary to help me to finally get better. Any suggestions for which pheros would be best in this situation? My arsenal includes OW, Dom, SWS, TH, EST, LFM, DHEAS, Stone Cougar, and Androstenol. Any thoughts on which would give me the best edge? If it matters, the doctor in question is an older man. Late 60s perhaps? I would welcome and be most grateful for any input on this. Thanks for taking the time to read this!
  3. Oooh..LP Original wax melts??? I would love my home to smell like LP Original!!!
  4. Love it! I'll happily take more organization anywhere I can find it. Heavens knows, I have little organizational skills of my own! And yes, must echo eggers' statement, they do deserve their own spot!
  5. Well said Mel. When YSL' s Opium, was so popular back in the 70s, I knew many men who wore it, as did I. As you pointed out, yes, many Bpal scents are to me, unisex. LP's potions are certainly in many cases, unisex, whether a fragrance is intentionally unisex or specifically geared toward one gender is hardly the point. For example, a fragrance may smell decidedly masculine or feminine in the bottle, but once on a person's skin, transform into something entirely different. And if it doesn't...who cares? If a scent is pleasing to someone, then they should by no means be restricted by the perception of the mass populace. Why limit one's self? Relax, indulge, enjoy. ETA: Exactly Mara.
  6. OK, I am really going to have to jump on the Whisker Wishes bandwagon. I have used this one before here and there for spells, but today, I wore it for both purposes and just have to say how awesome this is! This is how I imagined LAM Buttercream Peach would smell like. I love the Buttercream Peach LAM, but it is a sharper, brighter, crisp peach scent to my nose and on my skin. WW, has that mellow, creamy, soft, peachiness, all warn and fuzzy magick happening that just melts beautifully into your skin. LOVE!!!!! As for the wishes? I will have to let you know!
  7. Hi SpriteLeigh, I have a backup bottle, but would love Another. I misunderstood. Thought it was already gone! As for LP Red, I so wanted it to work for me, but my skin turns the cinnamon into an olfactory neon sign alas. Same with Rouge.
  8. OMG....I know that the ingredients Mara used are likely unavailable, but if I could wish for ANY one potion, it would be Jouir De. Pure alchemy. That being as unlikely as it is, I would vote OCCO Ambrosia. Also, I never did get to try Honeyed LP!
  9. I can say beyond a doubt that this is thus far my favorite OCCO of all. I so wish that this was a permanent fixture among the OCCOs. I love it even more than OCCO Gold and THAT is saying a lot!
  10. Thanks so much Blackcat. We are even using Jackson Galaxy's spirit essence remedy for Loss. These essences usually work great, but are merely taking the edge off this time. Lila remains..for lack of a better description, and at the risk of sounding like a drama queen, in a state that seems to express a deep sort of soul wound. She can not seem to bond with either of the other two nor does she express any desire to and has taken on a sad sort of loner personality. It feels heartbreaking. I think there are times that she is still waiting for Nina to come home to her at any given moment. We put our own grieving process on hold because Lila needs the help so much more. I have never witnessed anything like this before and I would not wish to ever again. Thanks so much again for your kind thoughts Blackcat. It means a lot. xo
  11. Hi memomare. What works for me with BB, has turned out to be a generous spray on each wrist going up to the crook of each arm, another generous spritz at cleavage and neck, then rubbing a bit under my nose, just above my upper lip. Time it takes to kick in varies. About anywhere from 15 minutes to a half hour, 45 minutes tops on a rough day. This is what works for me. Bear in mind that I am using the UN. If you try this, I would love to hear how this works for you. I just love this one!
  12. Blackcat and Mara... what a profoundly moving story and what a truly original and lovingly heartfelt concept this is. I am so sorry for your loss of Olivia. I am teary eyed reading this. It's so beautiful. I really wished I had thought of this when our beloved Nina passed back in late April early May. I was and still am trying to rise above that sadness, and have spent much of my time trying to help her spirit sister, Lila, who is still inconsolable by the loss. I am so touched by this. It shows what beautiful spirits both you, Blackcat, and you, Mara have. Blackcat and Mara, you have honored Olivia in such a remarkable way. Those of us who connect with and share love with a kindred animal spirit are so blessed. This gift makes the loss more bearable. Blessings!
  13. LOL!!! Already thought of that too! I wish! I can see myself making major plans and having to spend even more major money to buy some sort of beautiful display for the bedroom so that I could showcase them properly!
  14. All good thoughts. LOL @ you katz! I know! I was also thinking that a mint scent could be very nice. Peppermint stimulates and Spearmint has the opposite effect at least on me.
  15. Mara, I'm so psyched to hear this. I LOVE your wax melts! I am partial to Sugared Honeycomb myself. I really loved Summertime Sparkle and would be so happy to have a chance at getting some of either enhanced with Anol! Do you/can you enhance them with OCCO? Ambrosia would be beautiful as a home fragrance. Maybe some type of Tuberose blend? It is known to enhance euphoria and a blend like that enhanced with Anol/DHEAS? Wow! As for my own purposes, I would love some sort of calming, soothing fragrance enhanced with Balm Bomb or B2. Have you done that before? Also strawberry blends. Vanilla? I have long been searching for a really nice Honey Musk or Amber home fragrance! ETA, Just seeing that I am echoing some of StacyK's thoughts regarding feel good phero enhanced ones. Also for soothing fragrance, how does a Sugared Rose and Lavender sound to everyone?
  16. I adore the smell too MDC! To me it is one of the most beautiful smelling plants. Yes, all subjective I know. Not sure about the legalities of the pix here.
  17. Thank you McCreepers! LOL! That little white kitty was only about a month old so very easy to hold with one hand And no.. It is not just you with the emoticons. I think I noticed this last week maybe?
  18. Same here Molls and StacyK and McCreepers. No emoticons menu showing while on my Kindle.
  19. McCreepers, your label IS brilliant!!! I confess I have been wondering how on earth Mara would pull off the Bacon label, and here it is with it and you and your adorable pup looking fantastic. I love it!
  20. We are finding that Balm Bomb and B2 make our cats VERY clingy and affectionate! No doubts here!
  21. I agree amyrose. Love your label and yours too StacyK! Really, I have loved watching each and every one of you pop up. It HAS been fun. I will be kinda bumming once the process is done, but at least we will have all of these beautiful sugars to experiment with!
  22. I really do love it halo! It's an amazing thing. But thanks so much for the heads up on the cortisol factor! That is so strange.. who would have thought? This stuff is so awesome I would have been ODing on it for sure! You are such a wealth of helpful info and I appreciate you sharing this. Well..all things in moderation, right? And it's not like other things that are used for anxiety don't have their side effects and drawbacks, so I'm with you on this. I will save it for when I must, but when I must..cortisol be damned, I am breaking these babies out and going for it! I know tyvey! Well.. I guess we choose and use our pheros with all things in mind. It's good to know. LOL Nutrix, I was really impressed. And yes, this is great info and a good reminder to keep rotating our pheros and maybe even phero fasting now and then. I love the ones I use so much, it's not easy to do. They just help so much.
