  1. Got a super quick order today! Thank you so much!! I am loving the small bath samples I've started to get. Last order I got some bath salts -- vanilla, coconut, pineapple, goat's milk -- and it smelled good enough to eat. In today's order I got a small soap sample -- sandalwood and lavender. Yes, it smells like soap, but no ordinary soap -- this one smells like it was made with love or is that magick? Right now I am covered in April's sampler scents!! And I love my Virgin Compromising Positions...husband approves as well! Your fast shipping and packaging is always appreciated, but not mentioned often enough. Thanks, again!
  2. Mara, can I also reserve 1 FB of virgin Compromising Positions? Thank you!
  3. Luna, you mean Sunshine Of Your Love? Mara, I love the labels and egg concept on them. Beautiful! I think about that discontinued scent, Anti-Piggy, a lot when I am "eating because I'm bored at work" and wonder if it does have magical properties. Can't wait to smell that one. The name Cherry Blossom Musk caught my eye as well. I just wore Sugared Cherry Blossom for the first time the other day and it was so pretty. I love musks! I have another scent with thyme in it that I really like (can't remember which one). Since there is no "Sugared Thyme", I'm interested in that one. And wondering what Sunshine Of Your Love will smell like -- hopefully Mara's version of sunshine! Ahhh...I still haven't made it through the Pherotine sampler yet! I wish I lived close enough to the attend the party. So much incredible effort and creativity is put into them. Have fun!
  4. I envisioned this being like an orange cupcake. I picked it as a freebie from the sale. It delivered on its awesomeness. Out of the bottle, I get tangerine, honey, and vanilla…and a minty note? Must be every time I smell amber I translate it to “mint” as I have in some others. It seems to wear on me kind of light. I then swiped some of my Aja sample on and it turned fabulous of course, the Aja magnifying the honey and citrus.

    Irish Rose

I am not a big fan of rose fragrances. Out of about 120 bottles, I have like only four fragrances with rose in them. But, this one is the best! It’s a sassy rose! Clean, fresh, fruity, tangy, but still rose. Out of the bottle, I get rose most of the time, but occasional fruity tanginess also appears; my nose can only identify lime since I don’t really know what a kumquat smells like. Upon application, it is a non-lemon citrusy rose. I think the linden blossom must be contributing to the citrusy floral tone, not knowing exactly what linden blossom smells like on its own either. It then dries down into something just perfumey and I actually do get the cedar in the end. I had gotten a sniffee of this and remembered it being special, so I bought one in the sale. I would have passed it by if not for the citrusy, fruity notes.
  6. I think I may have gotten the last bottle of this in the sale last July/August. I have been saving it for vanilla month (January for me) and so finally trying it out today. I love sandalwood and my husband loves vanilla, so it was really a no brainer. I took a chance on the coconut which usually turns to plastic on me (as much as I would like it not to). Out of the bottle this is a more sophisticated version of Bath and Body Works' Warm Vanilla Sugar, one of their few scents I still like despite their quality being on the cheap side. On me this is a vanilla sandalwood with a shade of "coconut-ness". When first applied, I totally got the white chocolate which stays there rounding out the scent to a yummy sweetness. I like it. Christine's concept is certainly genius when you like creamy vanilla scents! However, I am getting a little plastic about 15 minutes in and that weird play-doh-ness that certain vanillas sometimes do on me. But...the pros outweigh the cons luckily. Overall, this is what Warm Vanilla Sugar only wishes it could aspire to be. I think Mara should make a permanent version of this...maybe there is already something similar. I don't have all the permanent ones yet. It is soft, casual, and perfect for anytime. I'd wear it all year long -- not just for my vanilla month. Well done!
  7. Great article. Le Wizard seems like such a nice guy! He's always been so sweet in my customer service emails. Looks like he adds a special vibe to the Friday parties as well.
  8. Glad you came back. Now you see everything Mara's made since plus all the items at the store available as well!
  9. Welcome to the forum, VeganVulcan! What an exciting time to be joining during Pherotine 2017!
  10. Welcome to the forum, honeyrose!
  11. The labels are gorgeous! I am so glad you did one with Leather! And True Confessions! Yippee!!! Looking forward to your notes and descriptions, Luna.
  12. This is a nice one! I am becoming a Teddy BB fan and am glad to have another scent with it in. This starts are with a blast of the dark chocolate, then settles into beautiful, comforting black raspberry with hints of vanilla and amber wafting in and out. It's similar to Nox w/Teddy BB, but is its softer counterpart. I think I actually prefer it to Nox because it softens on drydown and hangs in the background. It reminds me a lot of Caressful Breeze w/BI in that respect where it's a intoxicating berry that hangs in the background letting its phero cast its spell. And it is foody in a soft way. And there's chocolate! I will need a FB of this at some point. Teddy BB does not make me howl, but it does shut up those howlers. Love this phero!
  13. Well, I'm a spice amper, too, with this. I was sure there was a cinnamon note in this after I tried it on. Is it the patch that makes it seem spicy? Other than spice, I am getting an non-descript fruitiness which must be the pumpkin and apricot working together. Sadly, I am not getting that pumpkiny, marshallow fluffiness. And no caramel! As it dries down, it smells like original LP with pumpkin. And the Aja is giving it a rather sleazy spin. I also agree that it need not be limited to Autumn. It does not smell specifically fall to me. It wasn't what I was expecting, but it's still good. But it's fading away rather quickly. Maybe just to my nose.
  14. This one is very interesting. I just splattered some on my palm while pushing in the sample stopper, so I haven't tried it for real. If I didn't know it was fig, I would say it's foodie with a touch of lemony lavender. I am not usually a fan of fig. I see where people are getting the greenness because I am getting (what?) lavender. I am not really a fan of lavender either except when Mara mixes it with something edible. I may have to get this, just because it's so different. It's light and bright, but has a soothing sweetness to it. Mara gets me with that milk/butter/cream note every time! P.S. I remember self tanning (eons ago) and I can see where hearts is getting that from, too. This smells better than the stinky Mary Kay self tanner I used to use with my feet up on the wall waiting for my legs to dry!
  15. This one was a surprise! I saved this sampler for last because although I love vanilla, I am not crazy about coffee and really not crazy about smelling like tobacco! But for my daily sample, I tested a little and thought, okay, I can do this, so I slathered a real run. At first I got a quiet coffee blast, but not the sweet, sugary coffee I have a distaste for -- a true coffee bean-like scent. Then, it just dried down to a clean and, yes, a soapy scent. I totally got the soapy side! And later I mostly got woodsmoke. This scent is a skin-hugger. I had problems smelling it on me later in the day and I put on my normal amount that I apply for all scents. I would describe this as the scent of a "classy carny". The clean evocation I get from it almost reminds me of a hotel room smell, a little coffee, a little left over smoke covered up by a cleaning job. I have no problems wearing this. I think it's feminine enough; I just wished it lasted a little longer. I liked it enough to force it on my husband. His skin chemistry tends to make the unisex ones I like and try on him no longer smell good. Our skin chemistry is really different. On him, I totally got the vanilla notes whereas I smell like woodsmoke wearing it. He couldn't believe how different the same scent smelled on each of us. Actually, I'd prefer him to smell like woodsmoke and me to smell like vanilla if I could choose.
  16. Tried my sample and this is one of the only Carnival scents not really working for me. I like my Sugared Wisteria. I like other scents I have with ylang ylang. I even have Remind Me Again and others with civit that I like. I was excited for another scent with Blatant Invitation. But all I get on me is a bug spray scent. This is during and after drydown, so it never really improved. Oh, well. More money to spend on others.
  17. How cute is Polar Bear Lovers? It doesn't get any more PE than that. Your own drawing on the label! Congratulations!!
  18. I've had this for a couple years. I was intrigued by the label and get it out for fall. I wrote a review awhile ago, but never posted it. I am wearing it today. My husband smelled me and said "You smell good!" So, here it is from a couple years back: This was my attempt to acquire another leather-like fragrance. I do not know the exact ingredients in it. The description alludes to leather, honey, sage, and blackberry. I love blackberry and sage. This is a PE and smells different, but in a good different way as in different from anything else I have ever smelled. You do get the hint of blackberry, there is sage, and there is definitely some leather. My best description is it smells like a candle, not the fragrance of a candle, but the fragrance of a lit candle flame. To me, all candles kind of smell alike when you get right up on the flame. That’s what it smells like on me to me, a hot flame. It’s so different and smells so good. My husband likes it. It dries down to some comforting LPMP note that I can’t describe. And the name is so cool. Hint of Danger is what caught my attention. Thanks Mara and Celrynnya!
  19. Oh, no! 13 new ones?? Already? I am almost through the Carnival sampler set which you would think couldn't be beat. And I have FBs on my list from the Carnival! But Halloween is my absolute favorite! My husband just . I am so getting the LP Pumpkin one.
  20. I tried this one the other day. With the currant and tangerine, I wondered if it would smell the way swedish fish taste (the red ones). I got an initial blast of tangerine. I immediately thought that this is better suited as a shower scent. It was very light and bright. And she nailed that tap water accord!!! Very, bright, crisp, and watery. Is it possible to smell water? I would say the currant popped out about a half hour later, little like cherry. After some drydown, my impression was a brighter, cleaner version of Kissed By The Sun which I would describe as creamier and cloudier than Goldfish! But I feel they are similar. Towards the end, I was left with only the musk which kind of bothered me all day long. It was either that or the A-Nol which I've never worn by itself before. I did get a headache later, but I don't know if it was necessarily from the A-Nol (or work or the wind blowing allergens around). I do not visualize this on a man, seems too fruity. I did notice when I got home that night, that my teenagers were actually pleasant towards each other. My husband, the kids, and I were just having the best conversation and I wished we'd always interact this way. It later dawned on me that it was probably the A-Nol. I am starting the see how Mara's tarts must work. I think this would be a good tart scent!

    Sticky!

I do have to say I thought about Def Leppard's "Pour Some Sugar On Me" when I read those two titles together! The whole theme is very creative. And Sticky! does deliver on the theme. Will be trying the others one by one. I am wondering if it's the sandalwood that gives me "caramel corn"!
  22. I pined after this one for awhile because I thought it sounded like an interesting combo. Was never big on Grapefruit until I got the wonderful Sugared Grapefruit, so I thought I'd give this a shot. Cinnamon and honey? That can't be wrong. I wasn't afraid of the civit because I have Remind Me Again and it's just fine. So, I got my full bottle, thought once (no, twice) about wearing it to work without trying it before, and rolled it on anyway. Yes, it's sexy, but I liked it and I wear all sorts of "forbidden" things to work. Oh yeah, there's that "animal note" in there I could detect. I didn't care because the grapefruit is sitting on top of it all with it's grapefruity brightness. But we know citrus notes tend to burn off quickly.... So, I get to work and immediately walk into a meeting, sit down, and my female co-worker says "What is that smell?" She thinks it's her shawl needing to be washed, it's her laptop...??? I'm playing innocent. And, you know, I am getting an off note from myself, like a stale cigarette smell (I am never around smoke). But I still smell honey, grapefruit, and cinnamon, so I have faith that I still smell good and the off note I am getting can't possibly be detected. The male on the other side of me didn't seem to notice. Later I mention this on Facebook and Mara comments that it is a very sexual blend, that she wouldn't recommend wearing it to work. Oops! But there's no cops or pheromones, so I thought it would be safe. Just a caution about this one. No one else complained. None of the males I was around seemed to mind. I actually enjoyed it's dirty honey sexiness. Just note that the grapefruit burns off and you might be left with only a cinnamony dirty honey. :Emoticons0424:Maybe I should layer it with Sugared Grapefruit.

    Sticky!

I road-tested this one first today. I love it. I am really surprised that these three ingredients manage to smell like cotton candy and caramel corn -- just like you're at the carnival and those treats are being freshly made. I do get the smokiness, but not a lot. It doesn't remind me of incense. To me it smells like hot (temperature-wise) sweetness. It's pink, but it's not a bright, happy, cutesy, girly pink. It's a more grown up pink to me. And for some reason it reminds me of Christmas. Christmas was my first reaction when I smelled it. So much I think it should be worn in December rather than fall in my mind/nose. But after wearing it all day, I do feel like I am in the food lane at the carnival. I was always interested in Blushing Embers, so I am glad it somewhat compares. And lately, I've had an obsession with Pure Sugar which I do not own yet. I think that's what led me to try this one first. I wanted something simple and sweet and it does not disappoint. And I sure am confusing Sticky! and Sweet! Sweet! is the caramel apple one; Sticky! is the pink sugar one! (pounding into brain). But a caramel apple could also be sticky....
  24. This may just be the best floral Fairy Cake. I'm not much on florals, but I can only describe this as a creamy, yummy magnolia. When I first applied it, I thought it had a smoky quality which is fine. Then, it turned ever so slightly plastic and I thought...uh...nothing special. Then a couple hours in ... Bang! ... it really flipped a corner into something special! This is the first Fairy Cake I think that I may need a larger bottle of. If you like the floral fairy cakes, you will not be disappointed. The floral Fairy Cakes are the best florals ever!
