  1. I actually really liked this! I am not a rose person, but I get a tangy rose from this. And I smell the champagne which is hard to describe...bright and sparkly? Maybe I am perceiving the champagne as the tanginess of the rose. All the good notes are in this one, too. It does lose its staying power, I had to apply more than usual. As far as Popularity Potion...there was lively chatter at lunch out with co-workers and visitors in my cube later, so maybe it does contribute to you being the center of attention. I think it is aptly named, like you are sprinkled with Rose Dust that makes you sparkle just a bit more than everyone else! Getting a FB if I can.
  2. This smells a lot like Crayons: Mountain Meadow despite only two notes in common -- honeysuckle and water lily. It's a fresh light floral, emphasis on the fresh. However, this one has the twist of hedione and, much to my wallet's dismay, I like the scent with the twist of hedione a little better than Mountain Meadow. I even had them on at the same time to compare. Mountain Meadow is more fresh laundry detergent then this. So, it's a bright green fresh floral. I didn't get a strong wisteria note; I have likened wisteria to a grape-like scent in the Sugared version. I've never worn a hedione scent for very long, so I can't account for its pheromone-like effect. But this is springtime and fresh. The hedione seems to give it staying power, as well.

    Time Turner

I tried a tiny swipe of this. I first experienced a smoky vanilla-like scent, something coconutty. I believe the tonka to be the perceived vanilla scent; I have never smelled tonka before. It really did smell like something from another time! I liked it. I made everyone smell it joking that there was goose fat in it. And then my kids smelled it. My son didn't like it and my daughter remarked that it "Smells like Grandma" (my mother) which kind of killed it for me after my son agreed. Then, I realized it smells like my mother's house as she burns vanilla candles. Smelling like "Grandma" is not something to turn me against it. I will give it another shot soon. I did like it's smoky, coconutty quality.

    Dragonfly

This was so unusually pleasant for a green scent! I had smelled like nothing like it ever and got a FB. It is very green, very watery and not pointy at all. I do not really know what lotus smells like or bamboo on their own, so it must have been those notes that caught my attention enough to get a FB. It is not sweet. The tea pops out a little in, but does not overwhelm this pretty fragrance. It is delicate and serene. I agree that it a very wearable green scent. Just lovely!
  5. The same with me!!! I'm really only on Instagram to see what my kids post. Instagram, Twitter, and now Facebook (joined that last, weirdly) -- it's hard to keep up. I just took a 2-week break from it all when I ran out of the data plan. And it can be a time waster, Rose!
  6. Hi! "Sugared Gardenia" is back! I am obsessing about all the Sugareds right now over on Etsy.
  7. This is the first fruity fairy cake I've tried. To describe....not too lemony, not too cakey...a perfect mix. But, yet, I still don't seem to walk around smelling like a lemon cake! How does she do that? And I still managed to smell like a grown-up. I was afraid the Fairy Cakes might be a little too "youthful". I just smell yummy and it lasted a good long while. I applied extra due to the roller ball being a little smaller than the full sized bottles. I was hoping the cake in each of the Fairy Cakes would temper the note (especially the floral ones). Wore this all day and it didn't bother me a bit. Has just the right touch of lemon in it, not sharp at all.
  8. These labels are beautiful! But, , just when I thought "I'm good. I'm working on my current want list, and enjoying Sugareds...I am finally going to acquire all the Sugareds I want..." the notes are posted. And the cycle continues..... I am thankful this happens every two months now, Miss Mara!! My limited edition collector weakness is driving me !

    Vampire Bait

A while ago I got a sniffee of this and didn't think much of it after I tried it. Then, I did a trade with Dolly and she included a full-size sample! Over my heartbreak of Betrothal Potion, I tried it again. Spectacular! A masterpiece! I am not a fan of florals, but this one is tempered by its sweetness. It is not pointy or piercing at all. It's delicate florals sweetened just perfectly. I have a few Sugared "florals" and it has the same quality as my Sugared Wisteria, Peonies, and Orchids with the sweetness smoothing out the floral. I even put on some Sugared Peonies when it started to wear off, peonies being one of its floral notes. It wore a little light on me, but then I am careful with application of anything floral as I tend to get headaches later in the day from them. I am grabbing a FB while it's still available. I think I actually prefer it to Betrothal Potion. It's soft and delicate and a pleasant floral. I don't get the currant specifically, but it probably adds to the sweetness. I am really excited Mara makes wearable florals that don't make me smell like I am carrying the actual bouquet around with me.

    Hi!!!!!!

    Hi and welcome, Billi.Jo94!!!
  11. I ordered it off Etsy, one of the last three, but John then told me it was no longer available and offered a refund or swap. Then I noticed on Etsy that it said "This item is no longer available." rather than "This item has been sold." So, is it coming back? I noticed Vampire Bait replaced it in the Woman's sampler. I compared many floral samples before selecting a swap and I think I actually like Vampire Bait better. So, that sort of assuaged my disappointment of it being no longer available. But if it came back, I might reconsider. It was the first LP floral I ever tried when I got my sampler, so it is sentimental to me.
  12. Wow, wow, wow! This is the first sugared floral I have tried. Mara's sugared florals are amazing! I actually have problems handling floral scents, but the sugar tempers everything. The more I read her reviews, the more I think I actually seem to have the taste and skin chemistry of the lovely NuTrix who adorns this label. This is a pungent (and I don't mean that in a bad way) floral, not piercing or pointy, but very there. I have never smelled wisteria, but I envision it's scent as a deep, dark, dusty purple. It almost smells like grape, the flavor, to me. Oh, and the wonderful sweet sugar makes it so good. Otherwise, I think the floral would be too much for me. So I am with NuTrix, highly huffable, and I totally get her third eye expression because it happens to me, too. These sugared florals do not jab the third eye. I also have Sugared Orchids and Sugared Peonies. Both just as good.
  13. I waited a long time to buy this one. And, initially I love it. I actually smelled lettuce right out of the bottle! The aroma of ... lettuce? And I am finding that I like anything with birch leaves in it for a spring scent. When first applied, I get a short whiff of earth, then rose stems and patchouli. It's almost masculine -- you know, those sweet masculine scents? It develops into a green musk and patchouli scent for me. So it's green, yet sexy. I do not smell the Treasured Hearts pheromone at all in it. I have Treasured Hearts UN (one of my first pheromones) and know what it smells like alone. Only after a long drydown can I pull out the Treasured Hearts. So, it was a dream come true for me, not too floral, not too heavy, an early spring Love Potion variant that is sexy. But......I think I might not be able to handle the green musk (even though I love how it smells) or it's the Treasured Hearts...something is giving me a headache by the end of the day no matter how delicious I think it is or how I try to huff my wrist thinking I'll become immune to whatever is offending my sensitive sense of smell and/or talk myself out of that being the headache cause. But, I've worn it twice with the same result! It is so frustrating! And lately, Treasured Hearts is making . me . irritable! It worked so well a couple years ago when I first got it. If you want a green musk LP, you need this. I love it, so I am not going to stop wearing it.
  14. I think I bought this thinking it would be a "snow" scent with the frankincense along the lines of Snow Musk. I'm not quite sure where it fits in my yearly seasonal rotation, so I just keep moving it along from month to month waiting for the month that feels right. I would describe it as powdery, clean (almost a shampooey scent), romantic, and white. Along the lines of Sneaky Clean; I have never smelled LP White. I really get the jasmine out of this and I think that is the one note that stands out too much to me; I am not a floral person. However, none of the florals are pointy. It's just that the jasmine overwhelms the scent for me a little. Because it is romantic and soft and doesn't bring a particular season to mind for me, I will keep it out all year round. I do have to use a lighter application as some florals give me headaches after a day of wearing them.
  15. Hi, CoconutOil! I'm a little behind, but I would like to say "Welcome to the Forum"!
  16. Ha! I made that rule even before I was on Facebook. Someone on my project made the mistake of venting about work on Facebook which, of course, was noticed by one of his "friends" on Facebook and brought to the attention of the program manager. Next thing he knows he's sitting in the PM's office being lectured. Only when they leave the program are they considered. Everybody - I am enjoying getting to know the real you via our group.
  17. So glad this is permanent! Perfect blend of chocolate and rose! A perfect blend of the two!!! Neither one dominating at any time. I have Nosfy's Aperitif which I feel is very similar to this despite having milk/cream vs. musk, but Nosfy's swings much more towards the rose on me. I also get a note of root beer in this. Fine by me. I never know where the root beer note comes from, but I've gotten it with Flying Potion 2014 as well. I thought maybe it was black licorice, but this scent has none of that. Don't know if it has something to do with the pheromone. I did forget to shake my sample. As far as the pheromone, it made me a little b#$%!y, but everyone still seemed to want to please and cater to me and kept wondering -- why? I'm being so awful. A winner! And I think a perfect Valentine's Day scent. Roses and chocolate?
  18. Tried a small sample today and I am getting a masculine smell (must be the leather maybe black musk?) and a little bit medicinal (the ginger which I am finding doesn't really work on me). And I got honey. But I never smelled vanilla and certainly not pear which I was looking forward to. Yet there's something oddly attracting about it (the cops?). I've had it on a good long while and I still think it smells masculine. I think it must be the black musk and leather. This is one I thought I'd like for sure -- FB, just based on the notes, but there are a few others in the sampler I am really excited to try instead and they will probably push this out of FB contention. Actually, I had the same unsure reaction I had to Bewitching Hour -- they're not the same notes, but the two remind me of one another. Not very sweet, copulin-enhanced fragrances.
  19. I have not experienced the first one, so I was excited about this. But I don't get much "cherry" in this at all. But I do get the white chocolate/marshmallow/vanilla/amber combo. It smells like the white chocolate confection it is named after. But I do not consider it a cherry scent. Perhaps the cherry lends an extra sweetness. However, it is a pleasant scent that did all the right things on my skin. No complaints since all the other notes are my favorites. I do agree with the cupcake descriptions.

    Tingle Tangle

Bought this in the sale and wore it for the first yesterday. I am not sure why this is still in stock. It's a really pretty fragrance. Almost chocolate-covered cherry with that dreamy quality I can never put my finger on. I think it's Egyptian musk that gives me that feeling. Ebil-ish 2014! does the same thing to me. It starts as a beautiful cherry with a hint of chocolate. Perfect valentine scent! And, yes, like an upscale cherry Tootsie Pop! Then it dries down to just a pretty white muskiness. The cherry never left me, however. But I never get any of the lemon. Ever. Maybe I just don't realize it's there. I agree that it wears close like in the weird way if you put your nose close to an application spot, you can't smell it. However, I could still smell it all day long. I could when I tried, interpret a reminder of playdough. But I wouldn't know which note that is coming from.
  21. Mara, your changes are fine with me. I find it hard to get through all my new release samples without the fear of something I really like selling out before I make the decision. Learned my lesson with Secret Sweetness w/Gotcha. Not to mention test driving the things I have bought outright (Etsy or in last year's sale)! Annnnnddd not to mention attempting to stay on a budget with my monthly order. I have been wanting to order Sugareds ever since they came out, but keep shifting them down the list in favor of other things. I probably complicate things by having my crazy seasonal rotation - February is chocolate and flowers. I think it's a subconscious way of limiting indecisiveness. Then I have to analyze the new releases I like, whether I already own something like them, where they fit in the seasonal rotation, and if I truly have an opening in the seasonal rotation! Of course, I can't figure that out until I wear them a day and decide what season they smell like to me. I also desire the permanent stuff. I try to wear a different scent each day and limit the bottles in the monthly rotation. I don't want to have to deal with my own trade board. Yes, it will actually give me a break. I am probably in the minority here, but even though they are made by the same person, I find I prefer Mara's ideas over any of the PEs I have acquired. However, reading about the PE ideas is exciting and I have had list of my own ideas since I discovered this wonderful stuff. It just seems like my ideas have already been done. It's a wonder how Mara comes up with new ones every month!!! I figure once I acquire everything I desire only then will I start submitting my own PEs. I will be cool if we can sample the PEs first. I know all this has just confirmed everyone's suspicions that I am nuts, obsessed, whatever!!!

    Hello :)

    Welcome, Tiny5000!!!
  23. BlackWolf_91, welcome to the forum. I know nothing about the male pheromones, but I find the pheromone that makes me feel a little extra special is the one that will give me that extra boost of confidence and sparkle. I know that's not helpful at all, but only you will be able to figure out which one that is for you. So, have fun experimenting and good luck!

    'Ello!

Welcome! You must getting quite a variety of samples! Most bang for the buck, eh? Have fun! You can probably get all your pheromone questions answered in the Pheromones section of the forum
  25. Welcome to the forum, Curiousnose. Argh! Now the waffling continues between February FB set or sampler after hearing about Closer. Ah, pleasant indecision....
