    Hi! :)

Hi, jonelle97. Have fun with the pheromones. I'd try them all out and not worry too much about where you are or who you're with. How else will you know how they work for you? Sounds like you can handle anything that happens. Welcome to the forum!
  2. I saw this infamous fragrance was available again awhile ago and "snatched" a bottle before it sold out again. Then I stashed it away. A couple days ago either my body lotion or hair mousse gave me a perceived honey whiff and I craved a honey fragrance.....and I wore this in public.... and to my corporate office!!! Thinking I am always so cold it won't bloom and it will be for my own trial run and enjoyment. It just made me feel sexy and a little frisky. Oh, you thought this review was going somewhere? I only get sour cherry in the bottle. I think it smells like a dirty, dusky, honey -- a little risque for a normal work day. I did get a baby powder comment from a male co-worker who was surprised when I told him that it was honey and honey can be perceived as baby powder to some noses. It does not smell like baby powder to me. The husband liked it, but at that point it was faint (I was afraid to reapply ). It did seem like male co-workers were chatty in my cube, but it could have been coincidence. I was really just doing a trial run with it. I agree that it is not a sweet as Sugared Honeycomb. I am thinking of grouping my scents and having a "honey week" soon. I am also starting to realize that life if just more fun with copped-out fragrances.
  3. I have reviewed this already, so I am just sharing. I wear this in a corporate office environment, I don't care . My badge lanyard smells like it. My entire purse smells like this inside because my FB was leaky when it came and permeated the entire paper label and the bottle leaves the scent of LP Black everywhere it goes even in my bedroom while it's sitting in my LP rack. I am waiting outside a conference room to go into a meeting and a co-worker says "What smells like dessert?" Another co-worker points to me and says that it's me. I reply that I had just been eating some marshmallows. I usually never admit it's me and act like it must be someone's coffee they smell or act like they're nuts. Later that day in another meeting, the same co-worker waves her hand across the table trying to waft my fragrance over to her and states that it smells like cinnamon pound cake and asks me what's in it. Since I wear so many and have to use the website as my reference now, I respond, honey, sugar, oh, and vanilla? I am not yet willing to admit I wear "love potions" to a bunch of boring computer software developers for my own amusement/enjoyment!
  4. Have had a FB for awhile and just wore it for real yesterday. The sample had me sold due to one note -- and I now know that was the ylang ylang. Something I had never smelled before and found incredible. I now recognize the note due to smelling it in Sensual Harmony. I like the fragrance. It is bright and sunny, but somehow not just "summery" smelling to me which I would expect based on its label. It's creamy white with a fruity top note. I wouldn't expect black currant to smell this light and bright. It's almost bright like grapefruit, like scented Cougar Potion which is yummy but I have only worn once, so I may be mistaken in the similarity. My husband proclaimed that it "smelled good, not like perfume". My son said it smelled like chocolate. They both smelled the late drydown. I like this one. The fruit note that is always there does not smell like "me", but that won't stop me from wearing it when I want vanilla or when I want fruity. This one actually lasted on me all day. Maybe it's because I never got used to the black currant note.
  5. Finally tried this out after ordering a FB this past November. I bought it not so much for the pheromone, but because it sounded popular here on the boards and wanted my bottle before it sold out again. I describe it as deep, dark, dusky berries. The pheromone is really good, though. When I first tried my Pheroma sample, it put me to sleep. Today, I am just chilled out and relaxed. It's calming. Reminds me of an anti-anxiety medication I took for migraines where nothing bothered me. Well, it's not that good, but the closest I've been to that medication. It's probably the pheromone and scent combo. I love resin scents and blackberry. Berries can be pointy taking the forefront sometimes, but not in this scent! This one just smells perfect!
  6. Oops! I screamed again when I saw these were ready. I am looking forward to Cherry Divinity and Goddess of the Blue Moon. I am also excited for the scents with Heart & Soul and Lace pheros. The phero-enhanced scents always seem to work on me better than just using unscented versions. Guess Mara gets the mix right for me! I will start compiling my next order now.

    Hello

Welcome, sunnycowgirl! I have both LP Tropique and Tropical Musk. I loooovvveee Tropique. Good luck reconnecting with your ex. Hope it works out. It would make for a cool happy ending love story, right?
  8. Hi and welcome, Ocean Dreams! Scented Cougar is a yummy smelling scent and I need to get a full bottle. And I wish the below remark applied to me, Midnight Requiem!
  9. I loved the whole concept of this PE. I can't imagine why I've waited so long to try it fully. Both my kids commented that it smells like paint -- that's when it's wet, it's the leather. It turns into a wonderful feminine leather. It's neutral, so I think you could mix it with almost anything. But I wouldn't bother because I like it just the way it is. I smell mostly sandalwood and leather. It's not real sweet, but I feel it definitely smells feminine. This is my most favorite leather scent so far (aside from Bad Boy 2015, but that one is definitely for the husband).
  10. I've worn this twice and it is my favorite PE so far. I have not requested my own PE yet. I am still sticking with my initial cherry angel food cake impression. It's blended well so nothing really sticks out for me. I also smell a smokiness which I love. I have smelled this smokiness before in other scents so it must be the particular type of vanilla. After a good long drydown, this just turns into a pretty scent with a hint of foodiness. I have Spring's Lusty Cherry (also good), but this one just soared above it to the top of my PE list. Thanks Mara and Lina!!

    Merry! 2015

Exactly, johnsonlisa90012!! I bought a full bottle based on its prior popularity. I just do that so I will be sure to get one. I am wearing it for the first time; and, although I smell egg nog, I mostly get berry with spice (nutmeg). Kind of like "craft store" or Yankee Candle scent -- yes, as in "you smell like a candle". Berries don't always work on me. Don't get me wrong, it is yummy. Mara can't make anything that does not smell good. I hope the creaminess comes out with age.

    Warm Jammies

"This is yummy. This reminds me of Animal Crackers, but a Christmasy version of it. Smells like fruity, spicy cookies on me." Okay, that was my initial 2014 impression when I was new to LP. After trying the sampler more and ultimately buying a full bottle from Etsy, I get cookie, but I also get that slightly medicinal pink sugar thing that lingers around from the berries. This is showing my age, but it reminds me of baby aspirin, that chewable childhood pill that is tolerable but you would not mistake for candy. Pinky, berry, sugary tends to turn medicinal on me. I also have that issue with Reindeer Droppings and even LP Pink which is such a sweetheart of a scent. I am usually leery of the pink sugar scents and I know the note is berries, but it turns the whole cookie into a pinky sugary thing for me. I guess I am trying to say that the berries stand out above the rest of scent for me. Won’t stop me from wearing it, I just prefer a more full-bodied total cookie scent.

    Bad Elf

I just tried a tiny swipe and I got butterscotch candy, my daughter got cookie. This may be the Christmas cookie scent she longs for. There is a cherry almond accord at the beginning. I will probably go full bottle. I didn't really get any spiciness from it. What's not to like? But I am an almond fan. And I am really pleased with this one! Even better than the Land of Nog!!! Later it fades into a deep, rich creaminess. Sweet and buttery. I really like this one!!!
  14. I thought this scent was so unique, that I went FB. I had nothing with blueberry in it. Yes, you do get a blueberry blast, but it mellows down soon. I ended with a slightly spicy black musk in the end, but the blueberry for me was always in the background. I feel it is just on the feminine border of being masculine, but definitely on the feminine side. I may try it on the husband, but I think the other scents I've set aside for him are more what I want him to smell like. I would like to congratulate Mara on one of the most unique scents I've encountered so far. And the name...I said it out loud to my daughter and got it -- Blue (blew) Smoke?
  15. I just logged in, saw this, and screamed! I startled my daughter! I, too, am glad it's a mini-set because I just started testing the Pheromas sampler today. Going to the archive to see what Merry's all about.
  16. Mara's Rocket Fuel!!! Wearing that right now. So good!! Cougar is yummy, too. Welcome to a fabulous world of scents, Witty Kitty!

    Pink Elf

I see this is on Etsy now, so today I pulled out last year's sample and I applied it like I normally apply one of my LPs. Here is last year's impression (when I was new to LPs): "Upon first experience, this smells like raisins to me. Must be the ginger. Getting a little bit of cake, but still not liking. I guess ginger doesn’t like me. And I like the spices…I like the drydown better than the wet. Oh no, turning plasticky….Final verdict: this actually dried down nicely, the raisin tinge has settled down after a few hours." Back to present practically a year later -- I am having the same.exact.impression (with my updated LP nose). And I still can't make up my mind.... Oh, sweet indecision.
  18. This one is so simple, but so good. It is only vanilla, chocolate, peppermint, and amber, but it smells much more complex and really does smell like cookies. How can only 4 ingredients smell like chocolate peppermint cookies??? Especially without butter and cream. I got a FB in the sale after purchasing a sampler looking for the sugar cookie scent my daughter wanted. Now it’s mine!
  19. I love fruit and chocolate together, so I figured I like this. And I do. And I went FB earlier this year. This smells like tootsie roll when wet then dries down to the berries, but the chocolate sticks around. The berries can get a little screamy at times. It always reminds me it is there. My daughter commented that I smelled “fruity”. At the time I don’t think there is really anything out there on this website like it with just the berries and chocolate, so it was special to me. This reminds of my Nosfy’s Aperitif, but without the roses.
  20. This is a pretty fragrance. I think I went FB after just getting a sniffee. My husband likes it even though he told me he has no idea what it smells like. It smells white and sweet out of the bottle and pretty much retains that quality. I would describe it as white, sweet, cozy, sexy, and slightly smoky after the drydown – the mosses give it an earthiness. It’s pretty long lasting and it reminds me of Snow Musk without the mint note. Even though I loved it when I got it in the spring, I think it also works for fall.

    Snow Musk

I started with a sample and graduated to FB. I had to have this for last winter and I would describe it as white and sweet. To me, it’s a delicate fragrance, but also very mighty and long lasting. I think it smells of peppermint tea. A light sweet musky peppermint tea. To me, it’s a white musk and kind of how a stick of peppermint gum smells when you take it out of the wrapper, sweet and minty. However, it is not a strong mint. I wore it a lot during the winter. I have to be careful to not put too much on or it will give me a headache despite liking the scent very much. Mine does not seem to have the pearlescent mica, so it is not necessary to shake it. I once used it as my main fragrance (lightly) and added a little Sneaky Clean on the outer wrists and a touch in my cleavage. Those two together smelled incredible together and I got the added benefit of some SS4W.
  22. I purchased this simply on its notes and the intent written in the description (love eternal, soulmate). It has so many notes in it that knew I’d like: frankincense, myrrh, sandalwood, almond, musk, amber, patchouli, cinnamon. How could I go wrong? And I like it. I have just now realized it is unisex and it has always smelled to me that it could work on a guy. It is romantic without being overly feminine. Romantic without being overwhelming. It makes me feel romantic. This was one of the first scents I purchased off Etsy. I wore it again yesterday when I had a headache due to it being a scent I could tolerate with the headache. Despite not being a rose scent person and that being the first not, I still like this. A little goes a long way which is good considering it is long gone and I really like it. I have yet to try it on the husband; he is not really a scent wearer.
  23. Ooh, I just became a Disgruntled House Elf, but I don't remember what I was before, darn it.
  24. I see that what is left of last year's December releases have moved to Etsy and are on sale, so it can't be long before something new comes to take it's place!!!
  25. I agree. Despite some being permanent, I still feel like I should have gotten a full bottle set! Now I'll have to get them all before they sell out!
