Ok, I can't explain what your husband means, or really define the "christmassy notes" BUT....I COMPLETELY get what he means! I don't know what it is, but there is something warm and christmassy about this scent. It doesn't have any particular christmas spice notes that stand out, that I can put my finger on (like Garland & Lace etc), but there is something spicy, warm and comforting in the background of this perfume that just makes me think about christmas. It's a happy, warm & snuggly christmas feel with a bit of a naughty twist. Now....to the actual scent review & what I think about this scent (other than the undefinable christmas note). I was gobsmacked when I finally decided to try this one. I initially just put it aside because I can't do honey scents. EEEEVVVVER! Honey always go horribly rank play dooh on me.For some odd reason this one doesn't, and I have no idea why, because it's not like the honey in this is just a subtle note in the background of the key notes...this is a pure honey scent with a few top notes added to it. Funnily enough, I get no play dooh with this one at all. Not even a hint. I get a lush honey scent with a wee touch of fruit on top initially, sitting on a warm musky base. The warmness to the base is a bit like "caramelly-amber", but it's not a foody or sweet caramel. The warm amber/caramel combined with the musk to me is what gives this the naughty & sexy undertones to the scent. The honey note/s is a "true to life" honey note on me. It to me smells like honey in a jar that has been left a bit too long in the kitchen cubboard and crystalized a bit. It's lush honey with a sugary crunch on top. The fruity notes (I'm guessing this is the apricot?) are "non-specific" juicy fruity notes that I only really notice initially in the wet phase, but on dry down they mellow to the background and almost disappear completely. I am actually tempted to try get ahold of a full bottle of this one. Will have to see what Mr Scrumptious thinks about it

Oh, I had such high hopes for this one. I was hoping that it might become my replacement for Whoopsie D (when I eventually run out), but unfortunately this one does exactly what Aloha Pumehana did I think it's the buttercream that goes a bit haywire. It totally dominates the scent & has an almost maple syrup type quality. I don't get any floral notes from this at all

I think this one is one of my favourites from the Feb releases, it definitively is Mr Scrumptious's fave. It's a very delicate & feminine scent. Smells expensive. Initially it's a lovely fresh & delicate floral with hints of fruit. On drydown the base notes of non-foody vanilla, soft musk and light woody notes come through, but the florals also remain present even though they aren't on the forefront but more mellowed.

I really like this one, but for myself rather than for Mr Scrumptious. It may just be my skin chemistry but I don't think mr S would agree this is unisex. On me this is mainly violet, and quite sweet too, it smells very much like candied violets. C&L is definitively both more floral & sweeter than Velvet Moss & Boddice Ripper.

Not quite. I think you have confused 2 different things. As a relatively new member (with less than 200 posts) you would be eligible for the 2 free samples (which is worth $10), once a month, when placing an order, provided that you are active on the forum boards (i.e have posted at least 2 posts within the last 2 weeks). I'm glad I'm not the only one.... I was completely gobsmacked by this version of Unisexy. Smells absolutely nothing like the previous one on me. I had to re-apply because I thought I had either confused the vial with a different one (and therefore wasn't actually sniffing Unisexy), or I figured that Mara had re-done the scent entirely. On me this smells nothing like the previous one, or like the notes in the scent description. On me this is super feminine, cloyingly sweet...and it did bring me a wave of nostalgia as it to my nose smells almost identical to a perfume I desperately tried to wear in my teens; Chloe's Narcisse. I never managed as it was so overpowering and sickly sweet it gave me headaches. When I first applied Unisexy I loved it and couldn't figure out what it was it reminded me of, but once I did I felt that same "half-queazy, not quite nauseated headache" that I used to get with Narcisse. I don't think it was Unisexy that made me feel this, it was probably the memories of Narcisse but still, I don't think this will be one Rosebud can wear I just don't get where these intense sweet, almost fruity floral notes are coming from? Am I amping the tobacco in a weird way??

How about a V5 of Garland & Lace? Or maybe that would be more of a December release.... I'm not too fussed about any particular GGG's that I'd love to see in the November releases, but I'd love something rose-based with La Femme Oh...and I need more B2 for work (and snuggling at home in the evening)....and I'd love something with either Heart & Soul or Perfect Match in it

I'm stunned... Speechless. If it wasn't for the fact I know Mara doesn't make scent mistakes I'd swear she sent me a blank one. I get nothing from this, the faintest tiny bit of subtle spice but that's it. Nothing else, it's like I'm not wearing anything, and I've slathered this one on, but I smell nothing I. Just don't get it...

I adore this one! It definitively my fave of this months releases. I don't get any coffee, and the maple doesn't amp to hell or have an spice note that takes over or goes a bit burnt that MRF sometimes does on me. The best way for me to describe this one is sexy, cuddly, indulgent forbidden goodness..... Imagine the smell of freshly baked ice cream cones, with a large dollop of cream, and a few drizzles of maple on top That's what Baskery is on me...and it lasts all day. It's awesome layered with Constant Craving too

I wish LOL!!! I used to be mad about Guns n Roses when I was younger, but I lost interest after The Spaghetti Incident... They just didn't have that same GnR feel after that album

I knew this one wouldn't work for me because my skin just doesn't do well with incense type scents. I didn't think it was that bad actually though, didn't amp to the point where I get headaches but Mr Scrumptious wasn't at all keen... He took one sniff and said; "You smell like you've been cooking curry and forgot to wash your hands"

I don't get any vanilla or Constant Craving yumminess from this I just get insence... I amp it ro crazy levels

I would go for a very soft scent, one that's not too in your face, and possibly a bit more like a mainstream perfume type scent. You don't want to be remembered as "that one that smelled like a fruit salad" or "came in a cloud of snickers bars & cookies". I'd choose a soft floral (possibly with fruity undertones if you like that), or a "low key" foody scent like a plainer soft vanilla if you're more of a foody scent type gal. Nothing to overbearing, and go light on the application. If it's a formal interview, or for a formal/professional role, then I'd go for a phero that gives you the air of confidence and competence. Something like Swimming with sharks or Leather if you're going for a more male dominated type job. If it's a more mixed gender type job then Popularity or Open Windows would be good choices I think.

Not neccessarily.... It's not uncommon for the automatic email notifications to lag behind a bit. It's happened several times to me, that the notification of parcel being dispatched comes a few days after it was actually sent. I even had the parcel arrive before the email notification did once On average, I get my orders about 2 weeks after I ordered, the longest I've ever waited was 3 weeks I think but that was during a busy period After the parcel has been dispatched I usually get it 5-6 days later wich aint bad with having to go through UK customs if you ask me...

Are we there yet? It's Wednesday now so technically we are halfway through the week (I only count the normal working week lol)...and that means we are closer to Friday (i.e END of the week) than we are to the beginning of the week. You could even apply the same principle as when you round off decimals, you'd round it off to the higher value if it's more than half, so really it we're halfway through the week we can round that off to the end of the week....So it should be time for new new releases! YAY!

I don't know if I can survive waiting until the end of the week And I think it might drive Mr Scrumptious to the brink of insanity... Not sure how much more of my pacing, whining about waiting & "Are we there yet" stalking he can take lol
