I wanted to like this, was hoping for something like Allumette. Sadly not to me. It smells like my own armpit, with a ton of pepper. My own stinky armpit. Realised the other day a few scents have this scent on late dry down and it's to do with honey normally I think, and this is the reason i'm turned off by them. Shame though.

tested again today. One spray a.m to back of dress. Nice morning followed having coffee with friend's. Sprayed again in the afternoon to back of hair. Schoolboys coming out of the supermarket stopped on their way out to hold the door for me, i'd hesitated as there was enough time for them to get out as they approached but the one in front practically held his friend back so i could enter first. Cute and confirmed that off-skin better for me. Inside the female cashier was sweet to my kids and friendly to me. Kid was grumpy to her but she laughed it off. I told kid off but she apologised without attituded. On the way home some fairly non-cutesy rough and ready type guy smiled at me in a very goofy way. All good i think.

I bought a bottle unsniffed, no sample for me ha aha. It wasn't so much dusty cocoa to me the first time as kind of coconutty plastic buttercream, only not the kind made with butter lol, when I wanted orange blossom-neroli-chocolate. This time I wasn't hung up on how it should smell, but like how it does smell instead. Report back Lady V

MDC...Ah yes, it isn't orangey on me either, but to me that's okay. I have changed chemistry wise no doubt since I bought it (from Yasmin to Mirena, variety of herbal supp's and also tremendously upped my water consumption), which may have changed how it sits on me and also how I perceive it possibly. Glad to hear VK is awesome though...I'm waiting for some of that to arrive! It doesn't smell like its description to me either, I'm just liking it much more than I did before, but agree, OMG if it smelt like it sounds I would chew off my own arm probably! I may have to wear something with orange blossom tomorrow I think...sunny here!

I never reviewed this?? Never? Weird. I'll start by saying I actually hated this when I got it say...hmmmmm...two years ago? I gave it another chance recently and liked it much more. Now I love it. I washed my hair earlier and when the dryer blew hot air on my neck, the scent rose and it was heavenly. So 'what does it smell like?' I hear you cry! Fluffy. If cotton wool had a smell it would be similar. It's not sharp at all,all fluffiness, it's peach coloured cotton wool, but not the nasty kind, the blended kind, this is pure cotton. Smells like milky chocolate, a very milky kind like Lindt, with a cottoniness (I bet that isn't a word) blended in. I don't really get orange blossom in this at all. I can understand where the first reviewer got buttercream from too. It makes me think of some kind of doll, the old Strawberry Shortcake type, but a hybrid one, one they didn't make, like perhaps Angel Cake, dressed in a peachy frilly dress...no, Peach Blush. Peach Blush should've smelt like this.

I'd be interested to hear what part hair colour plays in it? I have never heard of that before. ETA most people I know can hold citrus a fair while longer than I can which bums me out since I love it, but oh well, gotta love other stuff for its longevity instead

Oh me too! Do you run hot usually? I always wonder if this is why volatile top notes disappear so fast on me but it's only a guess. I rarely get citrus for more than a few minutes in my most extreme cases. I'm really looking forward to getting a sample of this anyway.

Why, thank you! I am not the girly type btw, I'd say I was fairly feminine but not a dreamy giggly girly type. Do you have it in oil or alcohol? Have you tried it more than once? I know nothing can work for everyone but based on my odd reaction to Goddess of the Blue Moon last time, it might be worth trying again? Good luck if you do decide to try again

I took a real risk putting this on, having had warnings for migraine earlier in the day, but took pain killers and it offset it. I was tired, ratty, a little sorry for myself, rushed, and had nothing to wear for the school disco I was taking my kids to. I forced myself to get ready, and when I was nearly done, put a ton of this on (oil version). Well lo and behold am I not thinking on the walk to the disco 20 mins later, 'oh look at me, look at my pretty new shoes, my pretty ballet shoes (traditional ballet shoe-pink coloured flats with a shiny patent bow), I'm so girly, look at me twirling my cardigan' (has long points at the front) and oh my goodness, I realise this is Far Far away doing this! I feel all dreamy, and pretty but not out of it. I no longer feel so sad and grumpy. Oh yeah, the smell; violets with a sweet background, which later becomes more raspberry and less violet. If you ever smelt Insolence by Guerlain, which smells like a haughty, somewhat cold violet to me, all kick ass and don't-mess-with-me, this is like the cuter, sweeter, warmer, dreamier sister. It's a long blonde haired girl who drifts around in long skirts, smiling at everyone, but who isn't nauseating and you like her a lot. That's the best I can do. I love it!

Trust me...you'll need more than a bottle. You think it's crack NOW...it only gets worse! I have one oil sample, a spray on order and just ordered a rollerball too..

not sure if i'm allowed to say the name in here but i take vitamin d3 capsules in large doses and since doing so pretty much ALL the bumps on my upper arms have vanished. Never been so smooth. I give them my kids too and my eldest had bad bumpy legs and they cleared too. So you might all want to try it, if nothing else you'll have good bones ordering.. So far in my cart- sea find, dheas, more hearts ease, balm bomb, phero wax, a sampler, truffle luv, occo ambrosia, not sure what else. Browser shut and i lost my original cart. No doubt there'll be more!

perfume I have enough of to last two lifetimes, but i'm pretty good on shampoo and hair stuff. I've only hoarded hairpray because i only use one kind and it was 3 for two. Scrub i have a few of, but i tend to use one up then move on to the next. Facial stuff though.. I have a few things i don't need. Really i only use a couple of things that work but i do get tempted by stuff. I should pass it on really. On the whole, perfume's my weakness. On the deo front.. I get told i have an extraordinarily sensitive nose, but even so i'm not sure if it's that or if my deo doesn't work. I'm not saying i stink, but i can smell myself. I don't use anti perspirant though. I do believe maybe a bit of sweat is okay, i'd just hate someone to think i smelt *bad*. Mind you girl i knew with the worst hygiene never put men off lol.

I love this, but I just can't smell it strongly enough to decide if a bottle'd be a waste. It's figgy, with a kind of creaminess, almost like the way the flesh of a fig feels in your mouth, but if it were a colour it would be green, creamy green like pistachio ice cream, not like grass, there's almost a feel of coconut too. I notice other people have said pina coladas, but I get no pineapple. The first time I smelt it I got a kind of banana scent which was pretty good. I can't smell it today but my nose is a little dull I think. The vetiver I think I can smell now, but it's a lovely kind, no harsh burnt grass type here. Yes it'd be a good unisex. I'd most like Hunter Parrish, wearing Thrill Of The Chase personally, but a cute guy wearing this'd be hot too.

Count me in the Libra count too! Trying this again today, more orangey than last time I think, bit like some orange biscuits I had once, those crescent moon ones with the tiny choc chips, although it doesn't smell chocolatey.

Would working out the cost of the order and sending it plus whatever the flat rate box was with an itemised list of what the payment was for in the comments in paypal work instead? This is how I order from somewhere else that has a credit card only cart.

How do we order with flat rate boxes? I've wondered before about this.
